ThanksGiving 2020 | Arrows from Zion 11/27/2020

"Giving Tuesday" refers to the Tuesday after U.S. Thanksgiving in the United States. It is a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

For the believer ministries in Israel, Giving Tuesday and Year End Giving are critical periods to raise donations to fund their activities in the year ahead. Everyone has budgets and the period we are in right now will be determinative of budgets for 2021.

We are thankful for God's blessing on our lives and with thanks let us give to help our Israeli brothers and sisters ministering the Gospel to Israel.

Thanksgiving 2020 Giving Thanks
by Israel Pochtar
Beit Hallel and Voice of Judah Ministries

The first thought of Thanksgiving, for most Americans, is of a table full of food surrounded by loved ones ready to devour said food. The second thought, for most people, would be to consider what we are thankful for. But the fuller meaning of Thanksgiving is lost in the food and commercialism of this holiday in America.

The celebration with a feast known as Thanksgiving began when the Pilgrims had invested themselves for the first year in this their new land. The Pilgrims that chose to uproot their families and move them to Plymouth did so as a statement to the many generations to come. They were saying to England they wanted better for their children. Those humble, adventurist parents wanted their children to grow up with a focus on Christ in their lives and not a focus on worldly things of the day. This was the main reason for the Pilgrims coming to America.

Another vital reason they came was to spread the Gospel. The men and women who loved and were committed to Christ knew and understood the great commandment; “Love your neighbor as yourself” and “Go and make disciples of all men”. So they uprooted their families, packed up their lives, boarded ships, and embarked on a long journey across the Atlantic. They were the forerunners for many missionaries crossing our oceans to share the truth of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Can you imagine this commitment that the first Christian families made to come here to America? It was a commitment grounded in the Word of God. In Hebrews 11:13-16 it says, “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.” The Pilgrims truly kept their eyes on Heaven and came to America with this calling.

The Israelites were also “Pilgrims” leaving a life of slavery in Egypt (Exodus 12:31-43), taking all they owned and moving their families to an unknown land, a better land, a promised land (Exodus 23:20-33), to be missionaries to the nations (Exodus 19:5-6), and a place where they would be free to worship Yahweh. There is not an equal comparison with persecution and a life-long slavery of the Israelites, however, there is the realization of generations overcoming oppression with God’s help.

Yahweh set the feasts as times of remembrance and to give thanks for what He had done and will do for His people, His chosen. He commanded Joshua to place twelve stones as an alter after they crossed over into the promise land, to remind them and their children of God’s promise.

We celebrate Thanksgiving as a harvest celebration from that first harvest in 1621. We no longer feast for three days, but do look forward to being with family and friends to celebrate what God has done; His provision, our freedom, and His mercy on America.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, momentarily remember our ancestors and the sacrifices they made to make our nation what it is and their original intent. Also, remember Israel and their God given heritage that reminds us of How faithful He is. We give thanks for them and strive to be fore-runners for our children too. We pray, God willing, that there will be many more saved by the blood of Jesus Christ in the years to come, not only in America, Israel, but the entire world.

Giving Thanks
| by Donna Diorio | I would just like to say how greatly touched I have been reading the things that Israeli Ministries were saying about the American tradition of Thanksgiving - some who aren't even Americans originally like Israel Pochtar and Tuvia Pollack. I almost cried a couple of times as I read their understanding of our foundations and what it means this tradition that has impacted people far beyond our borders.

It means a lot to me how and why people came to America to pursue life, liberty and happiness. As Israel Pochtar pointed out, the first Thanksgiving was observed in 1621 after pilgrims had landed at Plymouth Rock a year earlier. They did not disembark for 3 days because they were fasting and praying before they set their feet down on the New World. It was only 17 years after that first Thanksgiving that my father's family first set their feet on the ground in 1638. My ancestor came as an indentured servant from Clerkenwill, Islington, then just outside of London.

Edward Brantley came destitute and as a servant for his passage to the new world he would work 7 years. at the end of that he would receive a parcel of land that he could bring his wife and children to live on. The survival rate for indentured servants was 1 in 3. I was tough going but he survived and today the United States is filled with people named Brantley. Except for one line of Brantley's all Brantley's in the USA are in the family line of Edward and his courage to try to do better for his family. I am thankful for Edward Brantley and thankful I still live in a place where the Brantley family has contributed to building from the beginning. It is worth it to me to have the courage to stand for its preservation today. In God we trust.

From Shani Ferguson of Maoz Ministries currently touring in the US with their family says there are less protests than they expected to see. She also asks prayers for deepening relationships as they greet old friends and meet new ones. She comments on the holidays that "can be both an incredibly heartwarming time as well as incredibly sorrowful for those longing for lost loved ones or mourning broken relationships. This annual phenomenon will only be exacerbated this year, as people have spent most of the year with some level of social deprivation." Praying for a refreshing emotionally for all. Also, here in the midst of the election conflict, she asks that we all pray over local leaders who have far more impact on our daily lives that we usually invest in prayer for them.

In-the-I-wondered-what-happened-to-you-Dept: After 9 months we finally heard from Evan Thomas of Beit Asaph in Netanya again! They went on a planned 3-month trip to New Zealand, then because of the Covid were restricted from returning to Israel until just recently. While away, they also had a major issue with the computer system that blocked all access to their recipient lists! Quite a time of isolation, now they are returning to pour their attention into the congregation, like all of Israel, there is a horrible impact that the virus and poor management have inflicted on the citizens, including all the Messianic and Arab congregations.

Evan writes, "In the long term we must carefully consider our options and be creative in ways to encourage fellowship among the saints and outreach to the broader society. These are the big goals while at a specific level develop programs for our kids. We must find ways to utilize our expensive facilities while reminding our community of its financial responsibilities. These are not easy tasks in this present ‘climate.’ Each day as we perceive and understand the situation around us, the burden gets heavier. We need your prayers personally, congregationally and nationally perhaps more than ever! We are so grateful for you all. We are also totally aware that you all have your own huge challenges to overcome. If you can spare us just a moment or two and uplift us in prayer, we would be so appreciative."

Ronit Bender in Carmel sends a report on her travels with taxi drivers since her usual driver is recovering from surgery - including one who told her, "Satan is my father, and I am his son!" The man's life story, which he told her, was one of no love and much rejection. She asks prayers for "S" and another taxi driver who is a wounded believer. Ronit's visit to the dietitian for her heart issue, opened a door to testify to her faith and also someone in the waiting room who recognized her from her childhood! A woman deep into the occult recognizing a woman she probably last saw at the age of 12. Something tells me God gave her a little help recognizing Ronit. She also writes about a 3rd Israeli lockdown, Israelis are really being hurt by Covid. "I am daily thanking the Lord for all the intense prayer going up to heaven ~ both from here and in the nations.  I want to thank you for your friendship, your caring heart and the love you show to this widow here in Israel in the service of the Lord! As we move into this holiday season, may the Lord watch over you and your family."

Marianna Gol of Streams in the Desert, ministering to widows and orphans, invite us to a 'Prayer Blitz" for families with persistent, extreme challenges and serious health conditions. Tuesday 12/1-Friday 12/4 by Zoom in 30 minutes each 4 days of sessions. If you are interested contact. Also she sent an urgent prayer for a family, a mother with 2 daughters, the 23-yr old one had to be admitted to a psychiatric clinic, the 16-yr old witnessing her sister's breakdown, is now traumatized. Pray for the family: repentance, forgiveness,  restoration.

Liat Archer is pregnant and their young son called it: Yair told us this summer that mommy would have a baby girl soon. So, another child on the way (baby makes 4) the Archer's need a bigger vehicle. With a trade in of their 2011 Hundai + 70,000 shekels to raise will put them in a larger second hand vehicle with lower kilometers. Cody writes, "We invite you to pray about sowing a special one-time gift that would go towards us purchasing a seven-seater vehicle in 2021. Every size gift will make a difference and one-time gifts can be given here." He also writes his work with Fields of Wheat is going great. "The shared values, vision and unity we share with Eitan and Joel in our weekly meetings and frequent communications is refreshing. We are moving forward with updating the website, Social media, strategizing about future discipleship programs and looking seriously at a possible property to purchase." They are also continuing to meet with young families in the Golan.

Another great report from Ariel Hyde at Tree of Life as they minister to thse who are hearing the Gospel through their online. One man who grew up Orthodox called their follow up line and spoke of some of the life tragedies that had made him a broken man. Listening to Sarah Liberman's testimony (English version) he now saw Yeshua as: “He’s light - He’s pure light!” Pray for this man to take the next step of faith. Plus they give a report on a man from an extreme ultra-Orthodox neighborhood was what baptized. It is an exciting testimony as they walk with those who are finding Yeshua online. Also they have a new Pro-Life and Gospel campaign that they are creating a Hebrew website for and several other prayer requests for an ultra-Orthodox woman & her male cousin they are ministering to over the phone. Pray for their outreaches to the poor and for revival in Israel for Israelis of all backgrounds.

Avi Mizrachi of Adonai Roi and Dugit Messianic Outreach wrote, "In all of my days, I have never seen such great need in Israel and such great opportunity to reach the people of Israel as I see now. Poverty, fear, desperation, and uncertainty are running rampant in lives and hearts. We must be the light that shines in the darkness. We must point people to salvation and healing in Yeshua. And with your help we will." He writes that "multiple coronavirus lockdowns have required us to take our Distribution Center to those in need and bring food, encouragement, and the love of Yeshua right to their doors." They are also ministering to people via the internet Shelanu TV. Avi writes, "I want you to know I am also thankful for you, that you share our heart for the people and nation of Israel. I am so thankful that you are willing to pray for our outreaches and sow into our ministry during these difficult days. 'This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.' 2 Corinthians 9:12" For any gift this month the will send a beautiful Reflections of Israel calendar made in Israel & featuring the gorgeous watercolors of a local artist See it and donate here)

From David & Josie Silver in Haifa, Out of Zion Ministries, is David's Comment: The Change of Voting Patterns: "... if the result of the 2020 USA election turns out to be anywhere close to being honest, why liberal politicians Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Democratic party received the amount of voter support that they did. The deceived public voted for these deceived leaders to take over the running of the country, which can only result in further deception, increasing the decline of the USA, as they nation moves further and further away from GOD, bringing America closer and closer to the day of judgment."

Avi Tekle of Tents of Mercy in north Israel, Kiryat Yam, writes "Though chaos and crisis surround us, God’s call resounds stronger. When the storm rages, we look for the one who can calm it. When darkness descends, we look for light. Such encounters draw us out towards our destiny." They celebrated a special day of thanksgiving called Sigid for those of Ethiopian Jewish descent, as they "gather as one in Jerusalem to offer up thanks to our Lord for His faithfulness in bringing us to the home of our forefathers. Life in Israel hasn’t always been a promise fulfilled; yet being thankful has everything to do with who God is in our lives and not what we get out of life." He writes to say happy thanksgiving to Americans, and "Even if we don't live in the United States or officially celebrate the holiday, giving thanks is a biblical mandate for us all."

The pastors at Kerem-El in Carmel —Yonatan Arnold & Stefan Silver—send thanks to God for "faithfulness and support throughout the ups and downs of 2020 and the Covid-19 global outbreak. Truly, we can say, God has heard our prayers and provided for our needs through our faithful partners and friends in the nations.... As you look to 2021, would you take Giving Tuesday to consider giving a one-time gift or partnering monthly with us in the coming year?  Partner with Kerem-El  Kerem El is located on Mt. Carmel, right in the middle of the modern city of Haifa. Stand with us in our vision to cultivate a Messiah-centered community, equip people in their faith and impact Haifa, Israel and the ends of the earth with the good news of Yeshua the Messiah."

Sally Shiff, my friend at HaMaayan in Kfar Saba writes that "Whatever this year brought you, His promise that He indeed works all together for good. I am grateful for you, for your prayers and your love." In just a few weeks, Sally writes that "I will be celebrating my 40th year in the Lord, and year 60!  Hard to believe, and thanks to an excellent beautician, people tell me I don't look it at all." (I love that!) Happy birthday - both birthdays, Sally.

Encouraging Words | Arrows from Zion 11/18/2020

Battle for the soul of America!

by Gilad Rosinger, Radiant Israel

We know this has been a very challenging time for many. We would like to share with you our position on what is unfolding. We believe it will greatly encourage you. I am greatly encouraged today as I write this statement. Over the last few days I have had a supernatural peace that surpasses understanding. I have felt an excitement in the spirit that I can only describe as faith in the things unseen and the promises of The Lord. My faith is continually growing as I walk this path with The Most High. He never ceases to amaze me with His ways that are always higher than ours ( Isaiah 55:8-9 ).

Let me state clearly that my hope is not in man. My hope is in The Lord. Period. I trust in Adonai. Blessed is the one who trusts in The Lord and cursed is the one who trusts in man ( Jeremiah 17:5,7). It is very clear, however, that the Lord uses men to do His will, and I believe without any shadow of a doubt, that The Lord has been using and is still using President Trump to accomplish His Will.

Although I never personally received a Word from The Lord, or shared a Word from The Lord about Trump being re-elected, it appears to me that many in the Body of Christ ( on both sides ) are acting hastily and prematurely in their response to Biden being “projected the winner”. With all of the mounting evidence of fraud, corruption and deception, how can any believer come into agreement with the modern day prophets of Baal? AKA The Mainstream Media. The media is corrupt and owned by the powers that be and the media does not decide who becomes President- The American People do.

There are multiple court cases in process and hundreds of investigations into voter fraud. Every hour seems to bring new evidence and sworn witnesses who are testifying to witnessing voter fraud. This is beyond alarming and outrageous on every level. Can I remind you that The Lord HATES these things: Corruption, lying, stealing... “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.” Proverbs 6:16-19

I think we can all agree that stealing an election would easily fall into the category of the things that The Lord hates. NOT TO MENTION THE KILLING OF INNOCENT BABIES IN THE WOMB- which the Democratic Party champion. Scripture is clear that the Lord considers it an abomination.

The Response of the Church | I’m encouraged by many in the remnant who remain steadfast in their hope and continue to pray for exposure and for the perfect Will of The Lord to come to pass. There is a new found boldness and unity that is blooming and it is clear that the Kingdom Army is taking their place! At the same time, I am saddened by the quick retractions and repentance from Prophets who prophesied a second term for Trump. Were they convicted by the Holy Spirit or are they losing faith because of what the media and the world is saying? It is not clear to me, but I personally believe it is the pressure of the media and the world that is getting to them.

Hold Your Fire! | I’m also saddened by the rush to accuse prophets and other well known prophetic voices as being “false prophets”. I think this shows incredible immaturity and quite frankly reveals an accusatory spirit that is quick to blame and point fingers. It almost feels like some believers actually want these prophetic voices to be proven wrong and defamed. Whatever the case may be, I can promise you that The Lord will bring everything to light in His Perfect Timing. There is no need to rush into judgment. We will know when this process is complete, and it appears that there is a long legal battle that will ensue and only then when it is completely final should there be a holding to account.

Trump Idolizers | Some have claimed that the Lord is not giving Trump a second term because the Church has idolized him. I personally disagree with this viewpoint. Although I do agree that some leaders and some Christians have an unhealthy posture towards him, and perhaps put  too much hope in the man verses trusting in The Lord, I think that the majority of believers ( like myself ) simply recognize that he is being used by God to accomplish His will and have partnered with this revelation. I think that those who did idolize Trump will be able to use this time as an opportunity to repent and that The Lord will use it to strengthen their hope in the things above once again. I think it’s presumptuous to claim that The Lord would prioritize dealing with some in the church who idolized Trump, over the US’s position towards Israel, dealing with mass killing of the unborn ( aka abortion ), gender confusion, homosexuality, child trafficking etc etc.

The Return | I had the honor to participate in The Return - a historic and united movement of heartfelt repentance that not only touched America, but the entire world. Everyone that I know that was there or that watched it online was unanimous in their agreement that it was a holy convocation ordained by Heaven and a sacred assembly that was genuine in its posture and sincere in its delivery. For us who had the privilege to speak and pray at the event- it was EVEN MORE of a resounding Heaven meets Earth HalleluYah- The Spirit of The Lord showed up! There was a healthy fear of The Lord and a United heart of repentance and revival. Have we already forgotten the promises of The Lord?!!

After the main event, on the Day of Atonement, I believe that The Lord gave us a sign from Heaven that He heard our prayers. Several of us witnessed a double rainbow over the White House and an outpouring of rain at the very moment that we were praying for a revival of righteousness to be released over The Land. The entire Sacred Assembly, which reached over 20 million people, was based on this promise from The Lord found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

I personally believe it is absolutely clear, without any shadow of a doubt, that the remnant did in fact put their heart and soul into partnering with this scripture to do their part. The rest of the promise is in the hands of The Lord. ADONAI SAYS: IF MY PEOPLE... THEN I WILL. So did His people? If you believe that the answer is - YES, Then you should absolutely believe the Word of The Lord will come to pass and He will hear from Heaven, forgive our sins, AND HEAL OUR LAND.

The Process | In order for healing to happen darkness and corruption must be exposed and dealt with. Depending on the depth of the wound, the process of healing is often long, painful, and requires great patience. In this case we know that the corruption runs very deep and is widespread. Many have referred to part of this process in Washington as “draining the swamp”. As you know the most dangerous time in a confrontation with a dangerous criminal is when you catch them red handed in a crime. When they are cornered they have to make quick life or death decisions and these can have deadly and dangerous consequences to all involved. (Listen to the replay of a live broadcast with Gilad Rosinger with prophetic insight and intercession on Facebook)

I have been warning the body of Christ ( and anyone else who will listen ) for years to PREPARE. Many of you probably got tired of seeing my posts on - PREPARE! I believe that it is clear now to everyone that regardless of how this plays out - challenging times are ahead so we must continue to prepare.

Judgment | Judgment and deliverance come together. The blessing for some and the curse for others. The rewards for some and the punishment for others. Scripture is clear about this. So even now declares The Lord repent and turn to The Lord with your whole heart ( Joel 2 ). Judgment begins in the House of God and scripture is also clear that part of YHVH’s judgment comes through division ( Ezekiel 34 ). I do believe that The Lord has clearly heard our prayers and is working to expose wickedness, but at the same time, He is also dividing between the sheep and the sheep and between the sheep and the goats ( Ezekiel 34 ). For those who have followed me for a while you know that I have given several Words about this in the past.

IN SUMMARY | We should all continue to prepare our hearts and our homes for all scenarios. We must not rush to conclusions or change our position because the outside world tells us something different than what we believe. We especially must not be moved by the false prophets and satanic agents who threaten us with defeat and worse. We cannot and should not be moved until there is a conclusive verdict on Earth and until The Lord makes His final decision known to all. MARK MY WORDS: “THE WHOLE EARTH SHALL KNOW THE VERDICT OF YHVH”

The last Word that I gave before the outcome of the election was announced was: “Regardless of what happens in the US Elections, The Word of The Lord to The Kingdom Army is: ADVANCE!” This remains my position. We rejoice in the trials and we praise The Lord in the storm. We must have faith in His Word and not be shaken by the things which we do not yet understand. The Word of The Lord is clear and I am excited about this: We are seeing REVIVAL. End Time Revival is here. So REJOICE in The Lord! I say again: Rejoice in Adonai! With a sober heart but great anticipation.

Dov Bikas in Beer Sheva and on the streets of Tel Aviv sends an update on their rescue work with sexually abused women and drug abusers who come from all over Israel to live on the streets in Tel Aviv. Dov expresses great thankfulness for the prayers over their Women's Shelter. "As we learn more and more about the nature and consequences of domestic abuse, we understand better and better the women we are trying to help and their stories." After sharing an example, Dov wrote, "According to the statistics, such cases are not at all rare, and the victims – who could have had a normal life and family – get caught in a vicious circle that keeps harming them more and more as the years go by. When we understood that, it made us even more zealous to help those who come to our Shelter the best way, to give them a warm and loving home and help them see that they can have a different life - real, happy and meaningful."

Please continue to pray for this ministry, and also for blessing on their fundraising for three projects in 2021. " We are very enthusiastic about the way Aviv Ministry is growing, but its expenses are growing with it, so we can keep working only with the help of our partners and supporters." See also the update on Dov's wife Olga who is recovering from an intense back operation, but blacked out due to a sudden spasm of pain, and fell breaking her ankle. Olga cannot take pain medications so pray for God to give her relief and full, swift recovery.

The Maoz Ministries prayer points included prayer for the US election: "my heart is to pray primarily for unity among believers after the election."

[This is an acute issue because it has divided believers into deeply polarized positions which reflect the extremely different spiritual convictions of believers about what is evil, and how we are supposed to position ourselves against it. As one person put it, "God is separating sheep and sheep, and sheep and goats." Nothing else has brought the reality of where believers are actually standing in relation to the Word of God than is being exposed in this election.
The election has been very much as Luke 2:25 Simeon prophesied to Miriam  of Yeshua: "the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too." The disunity that is so apparent can only be healed by the hearts willing to see what their thoughts mean and repent for what is not aligned with God's thoughts. —DD]

Maoz prayer points also cover the Israeli government, for there is much unsettling going on there as Netanyahu is hal-way through his government-sharing deal with Benny Gantz. Already new elections are being discussed and they ask prayer in agreement with 1 Timothy 2:1-4. One clarification in the prayer of discrimination against Tiferet Yeshua congregation last week: "Their status as a 'House of Prayer,' which receives discounted property tax, is not at risk. However, because the congregation has defined itself as a Jewish in their belief of Yeshua as Messiah, the committee is fighting against their tax-exempt status that would benefit those who tithe or donate."

Lastly on Israel's Security: "As more Arab nations normalize relationships with Israel, the Palestinians grow more furious and frustrated. So far there has been a slight increase in attacks from Gaza, Judea, and Samaria, although Israel usually battles against attempted attacks from these Palestinian-controlled areas daily. Still, Hamas has threatened to restart its attacks from Gaza this weekend."

In the news in the past couple of days, Israel has conducted air strikes to hit Iranian targets in Syria

The theme in both men’s lives involved being faithful to one’s convictions and values, as well as the character needed to go against the stream. The film reminds us all about what counts, and especially what counts in God’s eyes. This jogging of memory is so helpful in our present day. “If you are not guided by God, you will be guided by something or someone else” (Eric Liddell, British Olympian)."

Chuck Cohen at Intercessors for Israel sends Friday Prayer Points   11/13/20. One excerpt on Security concerning Palestinians is: "The Palestinian Authority is excited that Biden might be the next US President. That in itself is a warning sign to Israel of the danger it could be facing. Saeb Erekat, the Palestinian's "peace" envoy to Israel, who cursed Israel constantly, has died in an Israeli hospital from Covid-19 as Israeli doctors tried to save his life.  Lord, we ask You who guards Israel at all times to continue to do just that (Psa. 121:4; Mal. 3:6)."

Daniel and Patty Juster are currently in the US traveling to each of the congregations affiliated with them in Tikkun. Ben and Lorena Juster, of course have moved back to the US from Israel in order to lead the Tikkun America team. Patty writes in Arise and Shine, "Now more than ever we need to be and act as those who are living in and from the light of God in the midst of such darkness. We need to wake up and to throw off our security blankets of comfort and apathy. God gave man the responsibility of governing this earth." She asks prayers over their travel and health as they will be going many places across the US despite growing cases of COVID.

Dan Juster gives a report on the International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders which was forced to hold its meeting by Zoom this year but "It was the most amazing international gathering of senior leaders from countries including India, Siri Lanka, Singapore, Brazil, Central America, Argentina, Mexico, Africa, Europe and North America.... The presentations were so encouraging -- the heart for John 17 unity, love among us and the progress of the Kingdom in these many lands." You can read his document in contribution to the group. Dan asks prayers for, " Much prayer is needed not just for Messianic believers in the Land but around the world who are presently unemployed.

David & Josie Silver of Out of Zion send many news articles of interest to pray over regarding Israel: In one of the articles, Israeli Arabs Praise PM Netanyahu for Normalisation with Arab Nations, they note, " Without giving up even a single centimeter of land in Judea and Samaria, Israel's new peace treaties have had exactly the same effect among the Arabs as the failed Camp David discussions had among the Jewish population. Both sides understand that a Palestinian state by mutual agreement is impossible. ...On the other hand, the Arab voters regard Israel's new alliances as a sensational development that will bring about a financial boom. Arab friends from Jaffa and Haifa, as well as Bedouins from Rahat and Segev Shalom, emphasized to me that every new peace between Israel and another Arab country is a blessing for both nations....Pray that the normalisation with Muslim nations will not turn out to be a 'thorn in Israel's flesh'."

Asher Intrater of Revive Israel writes about the distinction of “taking up arms” and “bearing arms” in
Taking up the Sword?  While some emphasize only "misuse of weapons by police" the flip side of that is "lawlessness manifested in widespread looting and criminal activities. And at the same time, there have been massive protests that attempt to delegitimize the police altogether."

Asher Intrater interviews Cody Archer. Cody was a very out front person as the host of Revive Live, but after a year-long Sabbatical, Cody has now joined Eitan Shishkoff's Fields of Wheat in northern Israel.  If you thought these things strange and possibly due to conflicts, I think Asher and Cody clearly put that theory to rest with their obvious mutual delight speaking with each other in this 'catch up' interview. Pastor Najeeb & Elisabeth Attieh of Immanuel Church in Haifa share news of our sister Ruth Nessim, who is now living in a seniors care center, after years of being perhaps their strongest "advocate and supporter of this ministry since it began."  One thing that Ruth did was to contribute heavily toward the rent each month of the Christian Soldier's Center. "This dear sister is currently living in a senior care center and can no longer financially support the ministry. Without her support, we do not know how we will be able to pay the monthly rent of 3000 NIS ($890 or 755 EU). We pray that the Lord will provide the means for us to keep this center open. It has been a warm place where soldiers and even others who are in need find shelter and feel loved and welcomed in the name of Jesus. We want this place to continue to be a blessing to many people. We would greatly appreciate your prayers and support." For the friends of Ruth Nessim, this is such a good place to help carry on her legacy of heart toward the Christian Arabs. Michael and Dina Beener at City of Life in Sderot are in the midst of Vital Single Mother House Renovation.  They are also raising funds for $65 radiators to help needy families stave off the cold of Israel in the desert.  They ask for prayers and support partners to come alongside them in the work in Sderot.

From the Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv Tamar Afrait writes, A Right You Have That Was Paid for in Blood - the right to have a Bible of your own to read " many brave and deeply committed men paid with their lives for attempting to get Bibles into the hands of everyday people in their own language". Howard and Randi Bass at Yeshua's Inheritance in Beer Sheva will travel to the US this weekend just in time for their favorite American holiday, Thanksgiving. They will be visiting daughter Tamar & son-in-law Ezra for the holiday and also opening a way that US donors can send donations to the congregation via a US bank account. He writes, "If I can do it, I will update you about that. We are proceeding with congregational property renovations, but do need help to receive sufficient donations to maintain a bank account balance to maintain our Certificate of Good Standing. As the Lord leads...."

Howard writes, "We can say that we are very thankful to God that, while the kingdoms and nations of the world plow ahead towards increasing lawlessness and satanic deception and frenzy, Yeshua/Jesus is going to come again to make this world right!  Can we say Amen to that?!"

A Word in Season

I truly appreciate the email I got from Daniel-LuAnne Sayag (actually from LuAnne) from the HaCarmel congregation in Israel this morning (11/12) in response to my latest Arrows from Zion:

"Just want  to thank and encourage you for all you do for us over here. We have  been and are currently still praying earnestly for the U.S.  Just in  case you didn't know, the Haftarah portion this week is about Adonijah,  the usurper, being proclaimed king until Bathsheba stepped in to  petition the king to get involved.  God's Word is always right on time.   We are the Bathsheba that must take her place to petition our heavenly  husband to make things right.  Sending love and blessings in Yeshua. LuAnne"

What a timely Haftarah portion! The Haftarah is "a series of selections from the books of Nevi'im ("Prophets") of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) that is publicly read in synagogue as part of Jewish religious practice. The Haftarah reading follows the Torah reading on each Sabbath."

Now the passage dealing with the USURPER is 1 Kings. 1:1-31: Adonijah Sets Himself Up as King | 5 Now Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king.” And he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. 6 His father had never at any time displeased him by asking, “Why have you done thus and so?” ....

Nathan and Bathsheba Before David | 11 Then (the prophet) Nathan said to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, “Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king and David our lord does not know it? 12 Now therefore come, let me give you advice, that you may save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.

13 Go in at once to King David, and say to him, ‘Did you not, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, “Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then is Adonijah king?’ 14 Then while you are still speaking with the king, I also will come in after you and confirm your words.”

17 She said to him, “My lord, you swore to your servant by the Lord your God, saying, ‘Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’ 18 And now, behold, Adonijah is king, although you, my lord the king, do not know it. 1

9 He has sacrificed oxen, fattened cattle, and sheep in abundance, and has invited all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the commander of the army, but Solomon your servant he has not invited.

20 And now, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, to tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him. 21 OTHERWISE IT WILL COME TO PASS, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon WILL BE COUNTED AS OFFENDERS.”

I don't need to explain to you who these figures represent in the current American election crisis, do I? We have to intervene with intercession like Bathsheba did, to the King our God, to overthrow the usurper in this election who has already declared himself "king" usurping the rightful leader. Only by theft - and we have to stand our ground in faith for justice to prevail. In my eyes, what is impossible to men is possible with God and our battle is a righteous one. We must not give way to the "the inevitable" loss, but the Remnant must stand declaring that God will crush the chaos that Satan has unleashed in the USA under our feet.

P.S. The 11/17 Worship Watch Live Streaming from HaCarmel had to be cancelled due to maintainence work going on in the sanctuary, but you can watch the Nov 3 intercessory worship watch by clicking.
