Unexpected Breakthrough | Arrows from Zion | 6 24 2021

Thank you for donating to my ministry if it is a blessing to you.
I am trusting God for His favor in my finances. I believe it is a holy work I do.

The Tiferet (Glory of) Yeshua congregation has been wrestling with government authorities for 8 long years to get the rightful religious non-profit tax status. This allows their congregational members to get a 35% tax reimbursement on donations at the end of the year. After the switch to the new government, the Israeli Supreme Court finally ruled in their favor! This is an example of the kind of changes we hoped and prayed would occur with the major shift in religious party power once the Netanyahu premiership had ended. This is a good thing and we pray just the beginning of a loosing of justice for Messianic Jews in Israel.

Unexpected Breakthrough
by Gil Afrait, Lead Pastor at Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv

A Good Day for Democracy in Israel |  This week as we sat in our team meeting, I received a call from our lawyer who had unexpected and wonderful news for us: the Israeli Supreme Court had just ruled in our favor in our eight year-long battle to receive non-profit tax status as a religious non-profit organization. This is a huge and meaningful victory for several reasons.

First of all, Tiferet Yeshua members who support the congregation through their tithes and donations will receive, like all religious congregants in the West, tax reimbursement at the end of the year—in our case 35%. Furthermore, the ruling of the Supreme Court has made a bold stand for religious freedom here in Israel and called out the politicians’ efforts to deny our rights by labeling us “dangerous to Israeli society” as nothing short of religious discrimination. Finally, this victory for us will open the door to other Messianic Jewish congregations in Israel to also receive non-profit tax status.

The Struggle | All non-profit organizations in Israel must go through a rigorous verification process, and we began our process eight years ago. Our petition for non-profit tax status (article 46(a)) was granted by the Israeli Tax Authority but has been repeatedly denied by the parliment Finance Committee which has been chaired by the ultra-orthodox Moshe Gafni who openly declared that our congregation, Tiferet Yeshua, will receive article 46(a) “over my dead body”. The reasons for his opinions against us are obvious and not surprising. What was surprising was how Gafni, the head of the Finance Committee, was able to unify all parties in the Knesset behind his campaign against us.

Unprecedented Political Unity against Us | In October of last year we wrote this article about the decision of the special Finance Committee session, representing members from all across the political spectrum, which unanimously denied our petition. Even our new foreign minister, Yair Lapid, head of the centrist Yesh Atid party, made a special effort to participate in our Finance Committee vote and to add his comments that we are “dangerous missionaries”.
The flash point which unified the entire Israeli political spectrum against us at the time was the issue of the conversion of minors and financial coercion to faith, which is against the law in Israel. Conversion of minors is an issue that hits a raw nerve with Jews as it conjures images from Europe’s dark past of forced conversion when Jewish children were abducted, baptized against their will, declared Christian and taken from their families to be raised in the church.

Tiferet Yeshua’s article 46(a) petition was considered together with that of a Jehovah’s Witness organization which engages in questionable practices regarding minors, and most of the session was devoted to them. However, spurious allegations were made that Tiferet Yeshua also engages in the conversion of minors, which is patently false as we completely abide by the law regarding minors and financial coercion to faith, and the committee failed to produce any concrete evidence to the contrary.

Former Prime Minister Menachem Begin was an advocate for a powerful, independent judiciary and saw it as the “last fortress of human liberty”. Begin knew that a majority in parliament could become a tool of oppression in the hand of politicians, and a strong, independent judiciary is needed to check government action and guard citizens’ rights, even when a majority seeks to disenfranchise them. This is exactly what happened this week in Israel regarding our case.

With one accord, Israeli supreme court justices expressed that the Finance Committee had overreached their authority by declaring the activity of a religious non-profit illegal because of “personal emotions or deep disagreements” with us as Messianic Jews. Judge Anat Baron stated that the Finance Committee’s criteria of labeling religious activity as illegal because it is, in their opinion, “controversial” would set a dangerous precedent of reaching decisions about non-profits “…based upon extraneous considerations, prejudice, inequality, and arbitrariness."

We thank God that, as Menachem Begin said, “there are judges in Jerusalem” who protect the rights of minorities and apply the standards of equality and freedom of religion according to the spirit and values of Israel’s Declaration of Independence. We hope that this decision which came after eight years of legal battle will open the doors for many other Messianic congregations to receive this tax credit status and that it will benefit the Messianic public in Israel in large. Moreover, we pray that prejudice and discrimination will continue to break as truth shines forth in Israel.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Chava Stein has written two articles at KehilaNewsIsrael that explains a lot why the removal of Benjamin Netanyahu from Prime Minister of Israel may have been exactly what Israel needed at this time. In fact, I think it probably was, and I believe it was for the same reason Netanyahu was removed from office in 1999: because he allowed Israel’s religious parties to rule the roost, threatening the Messianic Jews with greater and greater persecutions. This same thing has been building steadily again under PM Netanyahu. He is marvelous for upholding Israel but God is EVEN more concerned that the Israeli Messianic believers have the ability to lead their people to faith in Yeshua. That is a fact many Christian Zionists ignore.  Chava Stein’s articles are Bibi – Great for Christians, not so much for Messianic Jews and A word to Israel’s new government – It’s time to embrace the Israeli Messianic community. Additionally, an excellent brackgrounder on former Knesset Minister, ultra-Orthodox Moshe Gafni who in the late 1990’s and the more recent Netanyahu administrations, has led the charge to make criminal the sharing of faith even by Israel citizens. Another KehilaNews piece by Tuvia Pollack

Israel Today follows with this report of action that Yad L’Achim, also anti-Messianic religious activists, have taken in filing a lawsuit against the media arm of the Messianic-run Israel College of the Bible (ICB) in Netanya: Google, YouTube Sued for “Missionary Ads Targeting Children in Israel”. It is a common ploy anti-missionary activists operate in by filing lawsuits with false claims that Israeli Jews being ‘duped’ by Messianic believers. They say a Jew was duped into professing faith in Jesus but now have recanted. The Activists do not name names on whose behalf they are filing the legal accusation because it is all bogus – just their public relations gambit to stir up public opposition against Messianics.

Heart of G-d ministries’ Carolyn and Richard Hyde devote most of their out of Israel ministry efforts to encouraging Jews to make Aliyah, that is to immigrate to Israel. This they will continue on their next planned US tour, writing, “we hope to see you along the way from Ohio to Texas!” They write they believe God is revealing more of His plans for the great coming Aliyah from the West. Meanwhile at home in Israel they are helping to bless the widows, single mothers and fatherless children of Tsfat or Safed with a “Salad Kitchen” and ministering in the every Wednesday from 3-6PM Israeli time on the Altar of Prayer.  The write their thanks for support of their family (sons who lead the Tree of Life ministries) and the the Media Team outreaches and pro-life projects. Pray for this family whose activities in the Gospel have brought religious hounding to their big, big family in Israel.

Dan and Patty Juster are in the US for a period of ministry among the Tikkun-America network, which son Benjamin leads. The topic for Ben, Patty and Dan in the latest Restoration from Zion ministry letter is that of walking in the joy and the favor of the LORD. Patty notes from a Jim Wilder book , “The Other Half of the Church, that healthy relationships are the source of a life of joy. Joy increases as you encounter people who are happy to see you. Joy helps you to bounce back from negative emotions…. Through grace we can be filled with joy through the Holy Spirit and impart that joy to others. When a person is walking in joy that is not dependent on circumstances they have power to change the atmosphere around them!” Ben notes, “Many are desperate for Yeshua's love to be demonstrated through authentic and passionate believers. It is time for us to lift up our eyes and to look ahead! Though the world may have changed, our future is guided by the Father's hand. It would be a grave error to spend our time and efforts in going back to the way things were. Instead, pray for wisdom for walking into the new things that God is doing and will do through you!”
And Dan adds: “This season has been one of the happiest in recent years.” One reason he cites is the fruit they are seeing in the Tikkun America network. I highlight one:  “One of the fruits of Jack (Jacob’s New York) ministry is working for unity with the churches of the region. One especially fruitful connection has been with the Chinese Alliance Church in Tappan, New York. I was privileged to preach at that congregation. They are committed to us on a deep level and support our Tikkun Israel congregation and ministries in Haifa under Leon Mazin. This fulfills a vision that has been hard to effect, but deeply desired, that the Tikkun America Congregations would be linked in covenant love with the Tikkun Israel congregations, and that support from their relationships with churches would go toward building up the Israel congregations. They do so much, with humanitarian aid and very important programs for all ages. So far, this is a great visit to the United States!

FYI from Donna: This last comment from Dan Juster really caught my attention because I have suspected for a long time that American Messianic congregations do not have a vision for the significance of directly supporting the Israeli believer congregations and ministries, or encouraging the churches they are in relationship with to do so. I have assumed the Messianic congregations were trying to 'buy' their own Jewish credibility within Israel. Lately however I have begun to think it is because they do not see the significance of God deploying specifically the Israeli Messianic believers into speaking the Gospel to fellow Israelis as the most critical development impacting global end times salvation. I have heard only excuses from Messianic believers as to why they do not give to Israeli Messianic congregations (while they are contributing to other Israeli causes). I have often wondered how we could expect the churches to understand the significance of salvation for the Jews springing forth in Israel when the Diaspora Messianics don't.
I am glad to report that this is something the Tikkun network gets, as Dan Juster told me, “We have a program called Ambassadors where every Tikkun Congregation will give and also motivate churches to so connect (with Israeli congregations).” Would that ALL Diaspora Messianics did the same.

From Israel Pochtar, Beit Hallel & Voice of Judah ministries, a fantastic report on their own “unexpected breakthrough following an evangelistic outing they did recently taking non-believers to the Galilee where they heard the Gospel for the first time: An Extraordinary Turnout Last Shabbat after our Evangelism Outreach event. Next Shabbat their congregation in Ashdod saw an amazing turnout of those who had been drawn to learn more. The dry Land is thirsty for the good news and they are hearing, “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the Waters" Isaiah 55:1. Pastor Israel writes, “Your help in supporting this work makes it possible for the gospel to be preached to Israelis and helps us reach more and more people, fulfilling God’s prophecies regarding this nation, until “…all Israel shall be saved!” – Romans 11:26  Please visit our DONATE PAGE to support this work. Thank you and God bless!
He also sends VIDEO The Calling of Israel with pastor Israel Pochtar | VIDEO & Article Carriers of God’s Glory and this An important Prayer Alert for New Israeli Prime Minister: Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue  | by Israel Pochtar on the “pulsa de-nura” curse rituals used against against Israeli Prime Minister Bennett (also used on Ariel Sharon and Yitshzk Rabin…and pastor Israel, too)

Tikkun Global sends a word about the major political change in Israel and how “In the Bible, change in the Israelite government was often accompanied by a change in the message of the prophets.” Message by Asher Intrater includes a series of short videos describing Asher’s impressions about how to pray for Israel in this coming time period. Kobi and Shani Ferguson now leading the Maoz ministry are currently in the US for meetings to minister and also encourage the churches and congregations they visit to support the pioneer work that Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram – Shani’s parents – started and they are continuing to beat a pioneer pathway in Israel. In what ways? They are pioneering Israeli worship music, young leaders with Hebrew-speaking congregations, strengthening the Body of believers in Israel through their benevolence fund.  These are all important works in establishing an infrastructure to minister to all the yet to come to faith Israelis who are coming because the Holy Spirit is now beckoning them to do so. Is it time for you to consider partnering in the pioneer work so strategic to “all Israel” being saved?

In the Friday prayer points from Chuck Cohen at Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem, one point is about how “Many Western Jews never considered making aliyah because they were more liberal than all of Netanyahu's previous governments. Yet now Israel has a government whose members represent a wide range of political and social views. So with this anti-Bibi, anti-right-wing excuse removed, will Western Jews actually come home? The chances are not good – yet we can pray.” He gives several prayer points surrounding this issue of Aliyah that you might not think of: like the commitment of the new Israeli govt to build 300,000 housing units and a serious attempt to lower housing costs. Also a pray for the new Interior ministry to be a blessing and help new immigrants – including Messianic Jews – whom Cohen prays will have a new sense of urgency and courage to also immigrate…with Christians helping.  “Let the Body of Messiah truly understand that supporting the Jews to come home is an important way for them to be preparing the way for the return of the Lord (Isa. 40:1-5; Matt. 23:37-39).”

Ron Cantor of Messiah’s Mandate and ShelanuTV also writes about the legal ruling for Tiferet Yeshua It is a great of great victory for the Gospel here in Israel.  Also he gives a good report on the matching funds drive for bomb shelters in Ashkelon, a city only 10 miles from Gaza. They reached their goal of raising $30,000 to meet the pledge of matching donation from a church in Texas. So the matching donor has pledged and additional $30,000 in matching funds. Let's match the next $30,000 If you are going to bless Israel in some way – whether providing protection from the rockets or in humanitarian aid, PLEASE look to the Israeli Messianic congregations most of whom are doing every outreach that you could possibly want to contribute to. LET THE BODY OF THE LORD IN ISRAEL BE SEEN AS THE ONES WHO BRING BLESSING FROM THE CHRISTIAN WORLD TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL.

Rachel Netanel is still in the long process of healing for a broken ankle that sure seems to be an excessive period of healing – in fact, I believe our sister is being opposed by the enemy and that we should all pray for God to provide miraculous healing to Rachel who is a very effective witness of the Gospel in Israel. She and her husband Gilad provide hospitality, breaking of bread (with all the fixings!) at their home in Ein Karim, outside of Jerusalem, and also in Zukim. Then Rachel speaks spiritually to all her guests, telling them whatever God puts on her heart to minister to them. She needs to be set back on her own two feet. Please pray.  Even handicapped with her injury, she is still ministering and recently was approached to do a TV interview with a secular reporter, first in Zukim and then they came to Ein Kerim to do more taping.
Rachel writes, “They had heard that I have a very interesting story and were intrigued.  I sent them a copy of the film that my son had made about me and my faith and the manager of the station became quite excited.  So he ordered his people to make a film about us.  I told them that I was in Zukim, but they decided to come with a film crew to interview us there.  They travelled from Tel Aviv and were there for 7 hours.  They asked me many questions about my faith.  They wanted to know the difference between Christians and Messianic Jews.  They wanted to know how we pray and much more.  I told them that I pray in the name of Yeshua.  The interviewer was a man and I saw how interested he was and when I told him that if he wanted to know the truth,  that he could ask for a sign. No sooner did he hear this, than sirens suddenly started to sound throughout the village as Hamas sent a number of rockets our way. We ran for cover and he looked at me and said, “Was this a sign???”  The interview will air in a few weeks and she will try to pass on a YouTube link when it is available.

The Beer Sheva congregation led by Howard Bass reported that they were able to meet altogether at long last, first in an outdoor setting, then in their congregation. He also writes about how in the prior week there was a leadership meeting of Jewish, Arab, and other Christian/Messianic leaders who came together for a day of acknowledging our unity as believers and we prayed for one another and for our people. Howard writes, “Israel as a nation is very divided right now, and is threatened on every side by those who seek its destruction.” That includes “an outbreak of unrest between Jewish and Arab citizens…. Sadly, this unrest between the two peoples has come into the Body of Christ/Messiah, which has been a common occurrence every time there is a war between Israel and Hamas or other Arab countries. Yet it is a New Testament imperative that brothers in the household of faith in Jesus strive to maintain the unity of the Body in the bond of peace.  We cannot do that if we identify more strongly with our natural families and cultures than we do with the Lord Himself, outside the camp!” Listen to Howard’s teaching for Prayer for Israel - UK, based upon Jn 6:66 and Rev 3:8, keeping Yeshua's/Jesus' word and His name.  It is about 36 min long.

I also loved Howard’s comments on A recent survey in the U.S. shows that young evangelicals are weaker in their support for Israel than their parents: “When God's word is replaced or made void by humanistic and demonic indoctrination, the outcome is a falling away from a consensus of truth, and of right from wrong, good from evil.”
And on Israel’s new government: “It can be said that this government is truly representative of all the people (except, maybe, for the ultra-orthodox religious sector which has always had excessive control of the purse and of the Ministry of Interior, and some of whom are not even Zionists, meaning that they do not accept the legitimacy of the country either!).

While having been a remarkable PM for the last 12 years in many respects, "always" able to remain in power, Netanyahu did nothing to ease restrictions on the Messianic believers and evangelical Christians here in Israel, particularly with respect to immigration and visa permits.  One of my prayers four months ago 'inspired' by the Biblical origins of Purim was that a new government would be formed that would make it easier for Jewish believers to immigrate, and for those Gentile believers married to Israeli believers to be allowed to receive at least permanent residency status and freedom to work.  It is still too soon to know if this coalition will be instrumental in that. See also Howard’s articles The Rise and Fall of Leaders, Political and Spiritual and The beginning of the last generation.

Aleksey Raikhstadt of the Beit Immanuel congregation in Jaffa writes that in all the troubles we have been seeing in a short period of time, yet the prophet Jeremiah declares God’s intentions to be "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." He wrote of setbacks (from Covid) and fears (rockets from Gaza) that he spoke to his own children regarding: “Suddenly, I discovered that sometimes I could not just simply tell my children that there was nothing to be afraid of, that God holds us and keeps us in His hands. But the more rockets were fired towards us, the more we saw God's protection and peace come to the hearts of our children. As soon as the attacks were over, the streets were filled with people, as if nothing had happened.” The promises of God we learn from our own journey through the threats and hardships we each face. Aleksey writes, “ Dear friends, I want to thank you for your prayers and support….I thank God for each and every one of you and that we have the privilege to do God's will here on the Earth together. Please tell us how we can serve you and pray for you. With much love in our Messiah Jesus.”

Avi Mizrachi of the Dugit Messianic Outreach Center in Tel Aviv, and also the Adonai Roi congregation writes, “Perhaps 50 miles from where I am sitting right now, Yeshua (Jesus) looked out over the crowd around him and He had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9:36–38 NIV.
We know it is true, but it is startling to think about living in a place where we could say that Jesus looked out over a crowd not 50 miles from where we are sitting at home. Israeli believers have the most unusual circumstance of all to be living in the Land that Yeshua walked up and down in 2,000 years ago and where He will return to the nation’s capitol to take His throne of the Kingdom.  And yet, it is still a land filled with people who still reject their own Messiah as a foreign, Christian god that has nothing to do with them as Jews. I know that many Christians hear the verse Avi quoted above from Yeshua, and they hear it as a clarion call for Christians to come to Israel to labor in Israel’s spiritual harvest fields. It is a clarion call to help provide for the laborers that are already there and simply impeded by the lack of funds to enter full time ministry. It is the same lack that impedes those who are already in full time ministry from being able to do all the outreaches God has given them vision for to reach the Israeli people...people who are really more open today than ever before in history to hear the truth about the Israeli Messiah Yeshua.
My own deepest prayer is that Christians will hear Jesus’ appeal to all His disciples – "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field" – and hear His call to us to send provision for the workers to go into His harvest field in their own Land.

Some of the ways you can help provide the Mizrachi’s labors is by supporting their ministry in the Daughters of Zion Women’s Conferences, in their Distribution Center serving those in need, for support to victims of recent attacks. “These days we are seeing so many new needs and so many new opportunities here in Israel—the harvest is truly plentiful! Please give now.”  "I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." John 4:35 NIV

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for Ronit Bender whose heart arrhythmia sent her to ER! She is home now with new meds but still needs our prayers | Pray for Carolyn Hyde whose left hand is so pained she can no longer play guitar and it is also sometimes painful to play piano | the Silvers: David's knees and Josie's back pain | Rachel Netanel  is still recovering from a broken ankle. She asks for healing & for the pain to subside. Her ankles were weak already, so the process is slow and painful| A prayer request for Naomi, for a dear family that is a part of Israel Pochtar's pastoral team, who was diagnosed with colon cancer. "Despite what this battle entails, we are confident in God’s unfailing Word and promises." Read in her own words| Please continue to pray for Jacob Damkani for the LORD's mercies over Jacob and his dear wife, Elisheva | Dov Bikas – I have been very tired these days: probably as a result of a combination of factors: my age, stress of the days of running to the bomb shelter, work load in the ministry, etc. Olga is getting better slowly, but still has a long way before her, so please keep praying.

New Season Commences | Arrows from Zion | June 16 2021

New Season Commences

The New Israeli Government Coalition
Whatever else it might mean, what will it mean for Messianic Jews being persecuted by the Interior Ministry—those who are already citizens not having to fight being stripped of citizenship and those trying to make Aliyah (immigration to Israel)?

The Time I applied for Israeli Citizenship
by Ron Cantor, Messiah’s Mandate

In 1996, I felt the Holy Spirit tell me it was time to get my Israeli citizenship. I knew we were not going to move there yet, but I just felt I was supposed to get my identity card and become a more official part of the Jewish nation.

It’s not always easy for Messianic Jews to make Aliyah—immigrate to Israel. Over the years, many have been denied. In the early years, it was much harder for them to identify us. However, with modern technology, Google and social media, it has become much easier.

Now they might even ask you out right, “Do you believe in Jesus?” Of course, I would have said yes in a heartbeat, if they had asked me that. Some have actually lied. That does you no good, because if God has called you here, no man, or woman, for that matter, can stop you. Read in full online, click title

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Whatever is happening in the Israeli government my first prayer is that it eases the pressures on those ministries who have been targeted by the Interior Ministry for sustained periods of time, trying to kick them out of the country.
This is something the religious parties, organizations and religious nationalists that connect with Christian benefactors never tell you: the persecution against any Jewish believer in Israel is led by the religious parties and antiMessianic activists that oftentimes Christians are financially supporting without even knowing the reality. Wake up, Christians! Really wake up to all of it.

First ministry letter is from Ariel Hyde, Tree of Life, with a video Stories from The Harvest in Israel. Please share it everywhere on social media.  Also during the recent war they write, “Hundreds of thousands of Israelis watched our video, How to Overcome Fear and Anxiety.” This is the Gospel reaching out in Israel —and in the Arab world too. In Israel where abortion is accepted as a normal thing, their Pro-Life and Gospel Campaign is changing hearts, helping pregnant women and saving babies. That’s better than planting a tree, isn’t it? If you want to make a real difference in the life of an Israeli, and if you want to show the love of God for Israel, then tell me please how you can top helping those Israeli Messianic ministries who are doing such things and proclaiming Yeshua Messiah at the same time?

Dov Bikas has a different outreach for Yeshua, that is to go to the most downtrodden people in Israel, those on the ‘mean streets’ of drug addiction and sex abuse. They go out to lift people society has given up on, to life them out of the literal gutter and set them on the Rock of relationship with Israel’s only hope, the Messiah Yeshua. They minister in Tel Aviv, have a drug rehab for men in Beersheva where they also have a Women’s Shelter. They are making a difference in the darkest places, bringing Light to those who lost their way in life and are unable to even help themselves anymore. It is not ministry for everyone, but those God has given a heart to walk among those most hurting of the hurt of the world. Pray for Dov – he needs refreshing from “my age, stress of the days of running to the bomb shelter, work load in the ministry, etc.”  See Dov’s testimony and the Tel Aviv streets where he ministers

I (Donna) don’t know of any Israeli ministry operating today that has not had the recent added stress of living and ministering with way below par financial support. Pray for them and help if you can. Give out of what you have, not what you don’t have.  It is not a guilt trip to state to everyone that the need is great —if you don’t have it, don’t feel guilty by knowing the need, just pray someone will step up to the plate and help.

Arni Klein of Emmaus Way writes about the three portions of scripture that have made particular impression on them over the last many years: 1. God’s response to Israel’s response to the report of the ten spies 2. Jer.3:11 which he writes, “We understand this to be a picture reflecting the dynamics of modern-day Israel and the Church.” 3. The 10 virgins of Matthew 25: “According to the root meaning of the Hebrew word for foolish, the five foolish virgins were dull -- insensitive to the prodding of the Lord. They were stupid -- not understanding how to read the signs and chart the course they were on. And they were heedless -- ignoring the calling and warnings of the Lord. When the bridegroom’s coming delayed, they were found to not be ready and the door to the wedding feast was shut before them.” Arni writes much more, but I was particularly struck with his shedding light on the meaning of “foolish.”
They have a prayer retreat in the Galilee, near Tiberias, where groups come for extended times of worship, prayer and soaking before the LORD, with no agenda but to hear what God is speaking right now.  He also wrote eloquently on this: “Israel being a prophetic nation means that in some way God’s working in the world will first manifest here.  The Galilee was the spawning ground and primary arena for Yeshua’s ministry. All twelve chosen disciples were Galileans. It was the birthplace of the modern State. As this was planned by Father, we suggest that His reasons and the subsequent outworkings thereof have continued relevance for us today.”

Tony Sperandeo, HaMaayan congregation in Kfar Saba, writes about the new government coalition that includes a Muslim political party, “The response to these major changes in the political arenas of our country, have led to unleashed hatred and accusation and division that threat to divide once again our people, but also the body of Messiah worldwide.” He writes: “The Lord has personally quieted my heart through these verses (Joshua 5:13-15)….He sits on the throne....For many of us who have been praying for moral and social changes in our country, these scriptures are confirming that our Lord has heard the prayers of many of his children during these last many years.
Among the many items of prayer for changes here are just a few  | The right and the protection of the unborn children | The open door for Jewish believers of Yeshua worldwide to be accepted as Israeli citizen according to the Law of Return. Also for the return of the Ethiopian Jews | The protection of widows, orphans, needy, citizens ethnic minorities and strangers in the land | The protection of our children in the education of moral godly values. Recognition of Messianic schools, home schooling and preventive programs for teenagers |  Justice in the court of law exposing the deception of mammon’s influence in our society |  The removal of bribes and unrighteous dealings between business corporations and government officials.  I would like to plead with you not to oppose the changes that our God wants to bring to our country.

#IAMWITHISRAEL is the humanitarian helps arm of Revive Israel, Tikkun Global & Messiah’s Mandate. Each month the give a different focus on fundraising for helping various needs. This month has been on the Akko Single Mom Program opportunity the city extended to Guy Cohen who leads the Harvest of Asher congregation (so named because it Acco is in the biblical tribal allotment to Asher). They are also coming to the aid of a Messianic pastor in Beersheba whose home took a direct hit from a Hamas rocket in their War Relief Fund. They helped many in need in the first and second wave of Covid-19

Marianna Gol runs a Negev ministry to widows and orphans (in modern terminology that is also single mothers with children in fatherless homes). Summer Camp is a really big deal in this ministry as you might imagine. For families just scraping by, a little fun combined with ministry is very healing. This year the camp will be Aug 2-8. Marianna is looking for some who would like to commit to prayer over the camp (she’ll send you specific prayer points) and also financial help by sponsoring a camper. $250 per camper. They have a really large group of kids they minister to and they don’t want any of them left out of this opportunity. Make some kid’s summer brighter.  Please make contact through their streamsinthedesert website

Israel Pochtar of the Ashdod Beit Hallel Family Network of Congregations & Voice of Judah Israel Ministries just does SO MUCH, I am always impressed by how much! Here is a VIDEO  The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast that coincided with the swearing in of a new Israeli government. Held at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, he writes, “God’s times are perfect, as we were able to visit the Knesset, to walk through its halls with Christian delegations from different nations along with Israeli parliamentarians and lawmakers, and we simply prayed, to remind us all that our hope is in God alone!” Read and watch Trying Times...Require a Double Dose of Kindness, a short video on how they believe their congregation is challenged by God to be witnesses in their country and help its people in their struggles.  From the heart of Yeshua through the hands and mouths of His servants directly to the Israeli people.  Yes!  Also a wonderful testimony of salvation with Elena's Story

Chuck Cohen of Intercessors for Israel Jerusalem in his Friday Prayer Points   June 11, 2021 writes, “The last verse of Shabbat's prophetic portion reveals to us why God will not forsake Israel. The context is when Israel demanded a king from the prophet Samuel, so this proves that even in the midst of His people's sin – He will be faithful to fulfill His Word, for His great name's sake. It should be obvious that this is why He never leave or forsake us as well (2 Tim. 2:13). Read the full points online

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center sends this replay of their recent grand opening of LiVracha (Translation: For the blessing).  LiVracha is an Aliyah Return Center initiative that provides FREE awesome clothing for new Israeli immigrants and the poverty stricken(due to corona). Sarah Singerman writes for the Revive Israel team about this past week when arson fires swept through close to the Revive center in the Messianic Kibbutz Yad Hashmonah. Although “dozens of firefighting teams and planes worked tirelessly for hours,” she writes, “the main line of the fires was right across from our offices and discipleship center.” Sarah adds, “We started to receive preparation warnings for evacuation from the police. Our team was right in the midst of worshipping in our global broadcast exactly as the fires were blazing around us. We saw this as kind of a surreal acute picture of the intensity we will go through as Yeshua’s return draws near.” Also from Revive, Asher’s article All Israel Will Be Saved and the VIDEO Global Broadcast | Praise, Prophecy, Prayer, and Preaching from our team in Israel. This week, Asher Intrater ministered titled "The Rise of Anti-Semitism".   Partner with us.

Tel Aviv Tiferet Yeshua congregation is led by Gil Afrait, but the full team includes his wife, Tamar, Moti Cohen, Victoria and Kosta. In the weeks ahead they will be sharing a little about the individuals in their team. It is always good to know more about the people in the ministries we are supporting, to see how God has knitted hearts together for one cause: for Israel’s salvation.  The first of these profiles is about the Tel Aviv food outreach and Discipleship through Outreach. It is a Testimony by Moti Cohen with an appeal to Help us Feed Tel Aviv with your donation.  The whole congregation is so happy to be back together now that Covid restrictions are lifted.

Joel Jelski with the Fields of Wheat team and director of the Katzir national youth camps is happy that the first camp will take place the last week of July. “We feel this will be an important time of encouragement and encountering the Lord for many youth after such a long time of isolation and such a challenging season.” Pray for them and for the leaders.  He notes that Fields of Wheat were not able to get the parcel of land they negotiated over, the owner deciding not to sale. This has been a vision for a long time now – one the LORD gave for “a place set aside for the equipping of the body of messiah in Israel for the harvest.” Please pray that God will make a way – that whatever place He has chosen will be made available (even if it is the one that was pulled from sale!)
Joel, and also Eitan Shishkoff, will be traveling in the US during August —some together, some separately. Joel is asking for referrals for him to be able to speak and connect churches, small groups or even individuals to the local messianic believers in Israel.  Joel asks for prayers over his wife Teresa, with a medical issue – God knows!
LAST MINUTE NOTICE: Join us June 17-18 online for the Father's Covering Conference. Eitan, Joel and Cody will be speaking. More info on the Fields of Wheat Facebook page.  The conference will be streamed live on this YouTube channel

LASTLY FOR THIS WEEK (OTHERS THAT CAME IN CARRIED OVER TO NEXT WEEK) We got in a ministry letter from Daniel and Shirya Yahav of the Peniel Fellowship in Tiberias. Don’t let the name “Fellowship” fool you as this has for a long time been the largest congregation in Israel. They are grateful to be able to meet together at long last, but before that happened, they decided to make a day in the park on Pentecost. It was a camp out so everyone could be together but the timing was such that war on the Gaza broke out, as well as rioting in some of the cities and villages. The park they chose was close to the Lebanon border, so they wondered if they should cancel. ..until Daniel woke up with Ps 23:5 on his heart, “"Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of mine enemies…" They took that word as from God, went to camp out where their congregation enjoyed the run of an empty park—everyone stayed away except the IDF running off some Hezballah youth trying to break down a fence around Metulla, a few kilometers from their camping site.
They also wrote a number of testimonies of how some of the congregation members, because of restrictions that their jobs and businesses, were able to be fluid and work out other solutions that proved to be great improvements for dealing with things – freeing up more time and also making more income potential possible. This really has been a lesson from Covid, that we need to adapt to new ways, and if we do we can reap greater fruit from our changes. Finally, their youth camp also gets under way at the beginning of July. Prayers appreciated, also for the children’s club. If you want to hear their messages in English, German, Russian and Spanish go to the Peniel website and on our YouTube channel.

 Last Word
by Donna Diorio

When you are a writer, you can always give yourself the last word. You bring up a point, state it and press send. Usually, only the ones whose toes are stepped on take the time to give you feedback. I know this last word that I’m giving myself is going to step on some toes, but really truly I am not trying to denigrate ANY works in Israel, but just stating what for me seems to be obvious.
I remembered an old favorite song from 1965 by Jackie DeShannon. The reason was that I saw a local 24/7 prayer church that has recently awakened to God's heart for the salvation of Israel announcing they have a fundraiser started for "Jerusalem Land."  I knew that must mean another Christian ministry, newly awakened to God's heart for Israel, had set its focus on Jerusalem real estate to set up their own operation there.
That's when I thought of Jackie DeShannon's, What the world needs now is love:  "Lord, we don't need another mountain, There are mountains, And hillsides, enough to climb. There are oceans, And rivers, enough to cross, Enough to last 'Til the end of time."
So I made up own lyrics to fit this occasion.

Lord, we don't need
Another Christian ministry HQ in Jerusalem
There are 24/7 prayer Houses
And Church orgs enough to eat up all actual funding of the Gospel
There are denominational
And non-denominational enough to not preach
Enough to just do good works in Israel
'Til the end of time

What Israel needs now
Is love, sweet love from Christians supporting ISRAELI ministries
They're the only ones
That have just, too little support.
What Israel needs now
Is love, sweet love of Christians supporting the 20K Israeli body
They're the only ones proclaiming Yeshua to Israel
A witness every one.

Not snappy lyric writing, but you get my drift. In every land in the world God raises up a testimony to salvation through His Son. He sends people to witness, but it is the people in each land who become the sustaining witness of salvation. Every missions organization understands that EXCEPT when it comes to Israel. Because there is a Divine timing to the great outpouring of salvation in Israel, some think that Israel would already be saved if they were just exposed to "our" witness. No, that is not the truth; that is an arrogance that keeps Christian ministries wanting to set up shop in Israel to reach Israel, then failing to support the Divine Mandate that is upon the Israeli Messianic Ministries and Christian Arab Ministries to do even more sharing of their faith than they can afford to right now.
I just wish the "Jerusalem itch" didn't infect every person who awakened to God's love for Israel and instead they would awaken to the laborers He has ALREADY set in that harvest field. Go. Stand alongside the ministry leaders of Israel and pour into those that are open to what you have to share - but it is their mandate from God to preach the Word to their own people, their own nation, it is not yours. Plus, every Christian organization that goes into Israel to set up a presence in Israel, most often Jerusalem, they soon learn Israel is not going to allow them to win souls. It is just that simple, and the Christians who realize this, and then get behind supporting Israel ministries in a myriad of ways, they are the ones who love Israel the most...at least that is what I think about it.

A Sad Commentary | Arrows from Zion 6 11 2021

A Sad Commentary

by Donna Diorio

Anytime I hear a version of what Mike Evans just said, I know the Christian has gotten their priorities totally screwed up when it comes to God’s desire for Israel.
We heard almost exactly verbatim last year from Laurie Cardoza-Moore but instead of saying Israeli voters screwed things up for evangelicals, she was saying the ones screwing things up were the Israeli Messianic believers and those who align with helping Messianic ministries fulfill their calling before God to be witnesses of Yeshua in Israel.
My conviction is that because neither Evans nor Moore have had any connection to the believers in Israel, neither of them understand God’s greater purposes at this time in Israel.  That matters to me as I think it should matter to all pro-Israel Christians.

However,  I must say that to the general Israeli public— including the Israeli ministries who have commented on Mike Evans terrible outbursts against the new Israeli government— all  they are hearing is Christian antisemitism.  Mike Evans would deny he is guilty of that, but his ill-advised railings have most Israeli Jews saying and thinking, ‘We have seen this kind of anti-Jew sentiment from Christians before,”  like from Martin Luther for example!  Mike Evans may consider his statements to be purely political, but he fails to appreciate how Jews are hearing reverberations of classic antisemitism.
Truly, no matter how hard any Christian has worked on behalf of Israel, we do not have what is framed in legal terms as “standing” to dress down Israeli citizens over whom they have elected to lead them. We just don’t. We don’t live there and it is not our decision, no matter how caught up in the politics of Israel that we might be. We are not going to have to live under the government they have elected.
As you know, I’m not one that thinks it is spiritually off-limits for believers to get involved in politics. I believe it is our duty to be salt and light in our own nations on every level. But we can only be that in the nation where we live, not imposing our views on those who will have to live with whomever they elect.
I also see that many news commentators writing about Evan’s comments are attempting to insert their personal dislike of Donald Trump into it as having a negative anti-Semitic influence on Mike Evans. That is also political rhetoric and entirely unfair political ploy. Trump didn’t say all these things, Mike Evans did. Many in the Jewish world paint Trump as a magnet for anti-Semites. In reality the American Left is the magnet for anti-Semites, not Donald Trump. Mike Evan’s failings in this respect are on his own head, not Trump’s.
After so many years and so many coalitions falling apart, voting over and over again, Israelis wanted to try something different this time. Even many of the Israeli believer-ministry leaders I know were ready to see Netanyahu go, many of them for the same reasons the general Israeli population was ready to see him go: Netanyahu has been giving excess power to the religious who are a burden on the general public.
For Messianic citizens of Israel or those hoping to be citizens of Israel, many of those religious party leaders are intricately involved in creating systemic persecution of the believers in Israel.  For example in the institutionalized persecution within the Interior Ministry that tries to kick out Israeli believer-citizens  by revoking their citizenship, and also working to keep all Messianic Jewish believers from immigrating and getting citizenship.
Frankly, with the rise in antisemitism throughout the world, including in the USA, I would think God would want to remove that potential exclusion of believers from Israeli citizenship - regardless of how much Mike Evans feels he has sacrificed himself for Israel. Clearly he has not sacrificed as much as the 20,000 Messianic believers in Israel.
Evans should repent and recant the unwise vows he has made. I do believe that when Christians love the Israeli Messianic community and are aware of how they oftentimes persecuted by religious activists WITHOUT losing their love for their countrymen and nation, that it gives a more Heavenly perspective on what God is calling us to in loving Israel.
Many Christians who do not know about (or care about) the 20,000+ believers in Israel in over 200 Israeli Messianic Jewish congregations, fellowships and ministries, cannot understand the “no strings attached” love of Israel that God calls us to. Knowing the believers in Israel and their walk in some hard places gives us a greater capacity to love Israel and keep God’s desires for Israel foremost.

P.S.  I just had a great talk with one of the most well known family names in the Messianic community, also in Jerusalem, who urged me to urge my readers — and especially any of the leaders among you — to speak out publicly that Mike Evans is speaking for himself, not for the rest of us. They also urged Christian leaders to reach out to Bennett-Lapid government to express our continued Christian loyalty and support of Israel. We need to put a strong emphasis on this because currently all Israel is reeling with angst over Evans’ outbursts. If you would like to read it for yourself, see Evan’s Times of Israel blog

*CORRECTION  Last week I described the new coalition government in Israel as “Leftist” and a trusted friend there wrote to tell me that “is the terminology of Netanyahu and those who are trying to create an atmosphere of division and fear in our society. And…it cannot accurately be called ‘leftist’ since there are parties from the right, the center, the left, and the Arab-Israelis as well.” I take his point. It is almost impossible for anyone to understand the rhetoric occurring in a pitch political battle because from afar one can only pick up bits and pieces.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Shani Ferguson has written an excellent piece on the uproar that was created by Mike Evan’s vitriolic statements against the new Israeli government, writing: “ Living outside of Israel, it is easy for people to form opinions on the governments they don’t live under…. while I appreciate many aspects of Netanyahu’s leadership, local believers have suffered greatly because of the political authority he gave the ultra-religious parties in his government. And contrary to common belief of those abroad, the majority of Israelis didn’t vote for Netanyahu and his party. Only about 25% percent of Israelis actually voted for Netanyahu which is why he was unable to build a coalition.” She also writes, “…you should know that only in the last couple of decades have Israelis begun to trust evangelicals as allies. They have hundreds of years of reasons not to trust Christians and this wound can easily be reopened with foolish outbursts like the one in this article.” Shani also puts in prayer points to pray for the stability of the new “coalition of left, center and right politicians including the first Arab party to join a coalition. Some of the agreements made include a budget to invest in Arab communities—many of which are overrun with crime, lawlessness and poor education. It also includes the agreement to pass no laws that will increase the influence of the LGBTQ community in everyday life. In addition, with no ultra-orthodox members in this government, everyone is watching what anti-orthodox Avigdor Liberman, the expected Minister of Finance, will do to the massive budgets that have been sent to fund the ultra-religious community for decades.”

The Tikkun Global ministry also issued a statement regarding Mike Evan’s letter to the incoming Israeli Prime Minister in which they state Evan’s letter can only be described as “crude, rude and arrogant. This has been in most major newspapers here in Israel, Hebrew and English.” They also write, “As Messianic Jews, citizens of the state of Israel and Zionists, we have to reject not only Mr. Evan’s words, but his tone. It was one of the poorest representations of Christian love to Israel that we have ever seen; and yet, from someone who has given his life to serve Israel. Such meddling in Israel politics is not appropriate for evangelical clergy. Furthermore, Mr. Evans' claim to represent all evangelicals is simply false.” They also share that “Mr. Evans issued an apology yesterday, just before he gave a rambling speech and press conference that only raised more questions and red flags, and continued to attack Naftali Bennett…. He treated the Israeli reporters quite rudely. He allowed them to ask questions, but didn't answer many. It was a spectacle. watch here.

Asher Intrater gave a detailed look at the issues involved in a government with Netanyahu, which I cannot find online anywhere, but here are some comments, after spelling out the various leaders in this new unity government and some of the issues posed: “These are not just political issues, but spiritual ones, about the future of the nation, and the heart of the inner dialogue among the people; Jew and Arab, religious and secular, right and left.  Throughout the Bible there is an interaction between the Prophets, the Priests and the Kings.  It strikes me that today there is a spiritual connection between what we see going on in the Israeli government, and what is going on in the unseen world of angels and demons. There is also a symbolic connection between the Israeli government and the Church ecclesia…. recently we have been going through a particularly turbulent time in the Middle East. And many of these conflicts are reflections of a greater spiritual battle with significant prophetic implications. Therefore, I do want you to be better informed. Perhaps some of these "shakings" are actually the results of all the increased prayers for Israel, the Church and the kingdom of God.
Plus July 2021 Out of Zion USA

David and Josie Silver, Out of Zion Ministries 6/4 and 6/8 David's Latest Video Update on YouTube and Prayer for Israel Zoom meeting every Tuesday 9 pm Israel time - 7 pm UK - 2 pm EST -  6 am NZ -  4 am OZ  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82351582826 (Passcode: 146188). David also shares a commentary on What is Behind the Dramatic Rise of Anti-Semitism? He writes, “hatred of the Jewish people is most accurately Anti-Messiah or Anti-Christ….The truth is you cannot separate the nation of Israel, Zionism or the Jewish people - they are all deeply inter-connected…. What so called 'Anti-Semitism' is really all about - it is about destroying Israel and the Jewish people, to prevent the return of Yeshua to rule over the Kingdom … on Mt. Zion.”

Avner Boskey weaves together these three strands Elisha's arrows, Sauron's eye, and Ahithophel's counsel  in addressing the fast breaking, never boring, news from the Middle East.

Rania Sayag of the House of Prayer & Exploits writes about praying for the people appoint to the new unity govt coalition to be people of integrity.  Also, she was “reminded Rania of the Love Revolution of 2018 when Arab and Jewish women handed out roses in the streets of Jerusalem. We are currently talking with Messianic and Arabic congregations in the land to repeat the Love Revolution but this time in every town and city! Please pray for wisdom, timing and unity.” Their upcoming Arab Deborahs gathering is currently is session: please pray over them. Messianic Orna Grinman will also be sharing at their gathering. Also for the work on their guest house and search for a new building. WATCH as Rania joined Paul Wilbur, David Damian, Asher Intrater and Sarah Singerman in a roundtable discussion.  See the newly redesigned website.

Ron Cantor is pretty excited about all they are getting done at Shelanu-TV reaching thousands and thousands of Israelis with original programming including testimonies fro sabras (native Israelis) like Reuven Doron, Sarah Lieberman and Guy Cohen. Cantor writes, “The Jewish people brought you the gospel, through Jesus the Jew, and of course, the Jewish apostles who spread the message from Israel to Antioch to Rome. But now it's the Jewish people who need to be reached. And this is a great way to say thank you to Israel for giving you the gospel. Again, the data tells us, that every dollar we spend on social media reaches 100 Israelis…. Who's going to watch the video you sponsor? It could be a rabbi in Jerusalem, it could be a homosexual in Tel Aviv, it could be a settler on the West Bank or it could be an Israeli Arab in Haifa. Let's reach them all together!” Donate here

Gil Afrait who leads the Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv writes they are adjusting to new routines now that Israel has lifted all its covid restrictions and they are able to all meet again in the building at one time. Pray for all to re-connect with their local fellowships and congregations. There was a baptism last month of a young man who has been in discipleship, and a meeting with a new seeker, also a young man, who accepted Yeshua as Messiah and Lord. Pray for them and for the awakening of Israelis to seek the truth of His Messiah. Pray also for the continued financial breakthrough: they have been able to raise $75000 of the 100,000 commitment they need for the congregational rent. That leaves $25,000 in commitments they still need to raise for 2021. Can you help?

Norma is someone I have tracked for many years in Israel—someone who have been deeply involved, most often behind the scenes of so many important ministry works, not the least of which is the first 24/7 prayer house in Jerusalem, the youth ministry camps of Katzir and lately providing refreshing to the women in ministry in Israel. I was very touched reading one of her latest blog articles, incline your heart because it really communicates her tender heart toward people who need God’s touch so desperately. Have your tissue at the ready when she speaks about the 5-year old she came into contact with during her days as a speech therapist decades ago in Texas.  It is a good message on how to keep yourself in the love of God.

Guy Cohen, who leads the Harvest of Asher congregation in Acco, also wrote an excellent article for his monthly letter called “The Friend I Trusted.” It is about the surprising riots on the streets of Acco and other cities throughout Israel where Jews and Arabs had before lived in harmony. Guy writes that in the aftermath, “ Unfortunately, a lack of trust surfaced between Jewish and Arab neighbors after these riots. We, the leadership of the believing community are the priests that stand before God representing the people. I believe we have failed in this area. Especially when the leadership of the believing community here in the land were more focused on our differences, causing division and lack of attention to God’s heart, His people.  I see that the period of instability in the land, beginning with multiple elections and disunity and now leading to riots in the streets is connected to and began with the division in the leadership of the Messianic Body in Israel. Only when we will put our differences aside; coming in humility to wash one another’s feet will we see change.  As for the mixed cities, those spiritual leaders who serve Yeshua; both Arab and Jew must come together standing in the gap for our cities. We must stand in a place where the blood and body of our Lord is ever before us. A place where His blood continually cleanses all iniquity. For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 1 Corinthians 10:17

Lastly, and I think this is so important that I am including everything that I included in the Weekly Summary.

Ron Cantor
The "scandalous" story of Euodia and Syntyche | If you have been following me for any amount of time, you know that we've gone through a great trial here in Israel. No, I'm not speaking about Hamas, nor am I speaking about the persecution that we experienced when we birthed Shelanu TV. I'm speaking about an attack from within.

About five years ago, some brothers brought some concerns about our doctrine within Tikkun (network of leaders with whom I serve). This led to accusations of dishonesty, that we preach two different messages, one in Hebrew and one in English (never entered our minds)—and even suggestions that we might be heretics. When the entire eldership of the Messianic body came together to discuss these issues, a certain individual was invited to give a message—our main accuser (we were not invited to give a message ??). One of his points was that truth trumps unity. He accused us of wanting unity at all costs—even at the expense of truth. Of course, this is nonsense.

Most people obsessed with heresy hunting have little patience for unity, reconciliation, or anything that can be interpreted as ecumenical. So, because we place a high value on Scripture's admonition to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit," we were accused of not placing the correct value on truth.  Let me be clear, without the truth of God's word, we are utterly lost. It is the truth of God's word and Yeshua's work on the cross that has brought us from darkness to light. Yes, the truth has set us free! (John 8:32) One of my greatest pleasures in life is to spend hours in deep study of God's word—truth. It seemed as if we were being accused of not loving truth sufficiently because of our love for unity and peace.

So, what does the Bible say about unity? The "scandalous" story of Euodia and Syntyche.

Footnote: Please continue to pray for unity in. the Israeli body, as this issue is still not resolved and probably won't be until October. I can honestly say that I am glad for it. While we were not guilty of the accusations against us, it did help us see where we communicated recklessly. We did have things we needed to correct. So, whatever the outcome, I am grateful for the process, even if it was flawed.
