WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 5/10/2017

Priority Prayer Focus May 10, 2017

When I was a young girl I have memories of my grandmother telling me wistfully that she had reached the age that she was receiving more and more notifications of the passing of her friends. At one point she even told me that she had outlived just about all of her old friends. She knew, of course, that her time was nearing.

This week we are noting the passing of one of senior leaders in Messianic Israel.  I never had the pleasure of meeting David Davis personally, but I am well aware of deep and wide impact he had in service to Yeshua in the land of Israel.  David was a greatly respected and beloved ministry leader among the pioneers of Messianic faith in the Land.  I will leave the tributes to those who knew David Davis personally - who can speak better than them to honor this man of God? But I would like us all to pray for the elder ministry leadership in Israel - that God would bless them with long lives, giving them grace to live out the fulness of their days serving Him with all their hearts, soul and strength.

"A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth....for death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart." Eccl 7:1-2b

It is with deep sadness that we announce that David Davis, Founding Pastor of Kehilat HaCarmel, has passed away after his long period of illness.

Karen is deeply grateful for your overwhelming expressions of love and support that she and David have experienced throughout this lengthy trial.

For the past few days he was surrounded at his bedside at home by brothers and sisters, worshipping and praying.  He is now in the presence of the Lord and so our great loss is tempered with joy and the assurance we shall see him again. The funeral is planned for 16:00 on Tuesday, May 9 at the Haifa Messianic cemetery.

Our Shabbat service on May 13 will be a celebration of David’s life and legacy.  If any of you are in Israel at this time, we welcome you to join us for this special time at 11:00 at our worship center in Isfiya.

With shalom and gratitude, Dani Sayag, Peter Tsukahira, Vladimir Tsapar, The Carmel Congregation

Please read this wonderful profile of the life of David Davis Israeli believers remember pastor, bridge builder – David Davis which appears in KehilaNews.com

I was struck by two reports that came in from ministries in Israel - one from a worship arts ministry who attends the Carmel Congregation, and another from a Galilee psalmist, Carolyn Hyde. The worship arts person was ministering in a European city on the day David Davis passed into eternity. During her preparation to speak, her thoughts began to dwell on David Davis entering eternity and "I found myself honoring the work David Davis had done in his life in Israel, and the blessings he had brought into the Kingdom of God in Israel." When the time came to teach - the very time of David's passing - the Lord spoke to her heart to lay aside the planned teaching and instead "to talk about the gifts the Founding Fathers of modern Messianic Judaism had brought to Israel, and to focus on David Davis."  In Israel, Carolyn Hyde also had a vision the same morning of the angels rejoicing at David's entry into heaven.

These things are meant to comfort us that death is not the robbery of a life that is spent devoted to the Lord. I believe the Father did not want David's passing to dishearten us, and also that He wanted to draw our attention to the need of prayer support for all the elders of the Israeli ministries - those younger and older than David. Those well and those with health issues. I believe the Lord was reminding us that these are the "national treasures" of Israel, to be honored and spiritually uplifted.

We began also to bring notice to the uptick of opposition to the faith in Israel by religious activists last week in reporting on an article targeting the many Messianic ministries that are housed in the Jerusalem Clal Building. Just days later there was an outbreak of violence at a new ministry work Protestors rampage outside of Messianics' homes in Dimona. This religious opposition must remain a high priority for all who intercede for Israel.

Pastor Howard Bass in Beer Sheva gives us a great perspective on the situation: "Praise the Lord! He is stirring up attention again -- this time in Dimona".  Howard would certainly know about what happens when the religious opposition stir up persecution as the Beer Sheva congregation has been in the crosshairs several times over the years, and in fact, it is elders from their congregation who began the work that is now being protested in Dimona. I hope you will all read Howard's informative and enlightening post inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

It is critical for those in the crosshairs of religious opposition to have the Heavenly viewpoint about it, and it is also critical for those praying in the nations to realize what that Heavenly viewpoint is while balancing that with the understanding that these outbreaks are often violent and can lead to such intense violence that it is life threatening. We only have to remember the firebombing of the Ortiz family in Ariel, and intentional fires set where people could easily have burned to death in several instances.  We need to understand that the religious are like Saul who in murderous pursuit of believers was struck blind on the road to Damascus - they can be said by a revelation of the Messiah - but also we must balance that with prayers of safety for the believers being threatened.

From the Revive Israel ministry - one of those in the Clal Bldg in Jerusalem - Asher Intrater's article on spiritual tests Dream: Affections of this World, a short piece inside the Weekly Summary attachment by Tal Robin on "True Heroism", two videos: Asher on the Hong Kong outreach recap and Dan Juster teaches in Korea #3. There is also an invitation to their livestreaming Shavuot 2017 prayer and worship night on Tues May 30th See more inside the Weekly Summary attachment

From the Dugit Ministry of Avi & Chaya Mizrachi, Avi writes in Sitting Together at Yeshua's Feet, "Over the past years, God has given me the opportunity to travel to different churches around the world and share about what God is doing in Israel.  One of the things that I find encourages believers is the reality of both Jew and Arab believers walking in unity in the land of Israel." See also Dugit Distribution: Distributing God's Love to Women in Need and a report on ministry in Poland: A New Day by Devorah Mizrachi

Carolyn and Richard Hyde share a Luke 10 prayer strategy and their lives of personal evangelism in the land. Also inside the Weekly Summary attachment you will find links to the wonderful Worship Music of Carolyn and the Outreach Booklets they developed for ministering to Israelis.  If you are planning a trip to Israel, please look into their Living Stones Experience where groups can join them for dinner and worship in their home with a view of the Sea of Galillee.

The Maoz Report is a monthly publication by Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram in Tel Aviv. This month Shira writes on How to Destroy the Struggling Arab Christian Community: Create a Palestinian State. Not what we want to do, in case you didn't know!  Also there is a report on the "Arab evangelists with whom we partner are constantly working in Judea and Samaria to reach Palestinians with the Truth which will set them free" in Outreach in the West Bank and Gaza. Liz Goldstein writes, God's Promises Are For Muslims Too!

Arni and Yonit Klein of Emmaus Way write about their monthly worship gatherings with our brethren from the nations in the Galilee. It is a fairly recent launch and already 20 times groups have come to pray, worship and seek God's purposes. Arni writes that the last group was a mix of believers from the UK, Australia and Germany, writing, "Remarkably, these three nations share milestone anniversaries this coming October 31, all of which have a significant connection to the people and the land of Israel." Read more about the history and the prophetic future for these nations inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Arni also writes about a passing of the Baton on a certain work in their ministry in Germany and other European nations, as well as the new bonds they are forging with believers in the Far East. Read this and more - including their tribute to David Davis - inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

Barry and Batya Segal, in addition to the vision for Israel and Joseph's Storehouse ministries, operate a news network bringing forward secular news reports from around the world with significance to Israel. One such article is ‘YOU’RE A LIAR,’ Israeli Soldiers Tell 'Breaking the Silence' Activist in Hard Hitting New Video.  A report on Israeli military veterans who are challenging an organization called "Breaking the Silence" that claims to report "the anonymous testimonies of Israeli soldiers who participated in abuses against Palestinians." Obviously this group is used by many anti-Israel and BDS  groups.

One interesting fact many American Christians will take note of is "Billionaire George Soros is one of the big financial supporters of Breaking the Silence. Soros has been a magnet for criticism for his funding of Palestinian and Israeli NGOs which criticize Israel or attack its legitimacy."  Pray that Breaking the Silence will continue to be exposed for what it is and its lies silenced."

Finally, a few news stories from recent editions of KehilaNews.com -

Evangelism and envisioning revival | Daniel Juster | Daniel writes, "I wonder if some of what I see as imbalance in the Messianic Jewish movement is due to our need for an outpouring of the Spirit of evangelism. There is a concern about authenticity..."

LISTEN: Interview with Shira Sorko-Ram | The Olive Tree with Julia Fisher | Recently I met Shira Sorko-Ram in Tel Aviv. She and her husband Ari were two of the early Messianic believers in the land of Israel when they arrived over 40 years ago from America. They founded Maoz Israel, which is an umbrella for a great deal of support to other congregations and ministries across the land.

Meeting Moussa | Eitan Shishkoff | Eitan writes, "We thought it would be cool to film in an old olive grove in the Galilee. The gnarled trunks and endless rows of trees took us back in time. It was only when we met Moussa that we realized just how far back in time the olives had taken us."

Israel at 69: Economy growth of 62% since 2000 with 8,680,000 citizens | Amir Tsarfati | Out of 34 OECD states, Israel experienced the most growth out of the 2008 economic crisis- a startling cumulative growth of 35% in comparison to 14% growth from other states.

New Zealand announces it plans to restore diplomatic relations with Israel | Amir Tsarfati | New Zealand’s recently appointed Foreign Affairs Minister Gerry Brownlee announced that he had sent a formal letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu in which he expresses New Zealand’s commitment to “get back on track” in its relationship with Israel.

Hamas calls for Israel's annihilation as Abbas meets Trump | Tzippe Barrow | Hamas, the Palestinian faction ruling the Gaza Strip, has released a policy statement that demands Jerusalem for a Palestinian capital and alludes to the total destruction of Israel.

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 5/3/2017

Priority Prayer Focus Israel Independence Day 2017

I do not know of any greater sign from God of His faithfulness than the sign of the modern state of Israel on its 69th anniversary of declaring itself a state.

Against overwhelming odds and international resistance to God's return of the Jewish people to their homeland, Israel is about to complete a biblical generation as the revived state of Israel. I use that word "revived" purposefully because I don't believe God just wanted to return the Jews to their ancient homeland, the Promised Land, but because I believe it is in that place that God intends one of His most unexpected miracles yet, that miracle which the prophet Ezekiel prophesied of, the revival of the dry bones.

I thank God that He has allowed me to peer into His purposes in the scripture for Israel because there are many in the Church who still cannot see even an inkling of what God is doing through Israel. I believe we are on the precipice of these great things unfolding, a mighty salvation. Happy birthday, Israel. God is with you for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Israel Pochtar of the Ashdod Beit Hallel congregation also brought Ezekiel's vision of the dry bones to remembrance as Israel celebrated its 69th birthday yesterday. He writes, "Israel is alive because of God's promises. We celebrate the miraculous rebirth of the nation of Israel 69 years ago, and as believers we fully trust God will bring the rest of the prophecy to fulfillment, which is: "...put my Spirit in you and you will live." This is what Pochtar's vision obviously revolves around because his reports are always full of the diversity of outreaches they do in their city and among the surrounding Negev believer community.

Read more about their upcoming major evangelism outreach inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries as well as a progress report on the renovations underway at their congregational facility. As Pochtar notes, "... there are too many sources in our city that do not want to see us prosper in building a gathering place for believers, and they actively oppose it. We've had threats and criticisms in the local press calling to stop us and our work. Which is why we need your prayers for protection over this project, God's favor and grace, as well as His provision."

From Avishalom who now leads the Tents of Mercy (Ohalai Rachamim) congregation in Kiryat Yam, a report on their congregation in the midst of the high activity Spring holiday season. Read about it inside the Weekly Summary attachment. Now on the countdown from Passover to First Fruits and Shavuot, they are asking for our prayers, "It feels like a very fast track of growth as a community. . . . Growth also brings some pain because change and accommodation for expansion needs to happen. Honestly, we are new to this stage. We feel a strange combination of stamina and uncertainty. . . . Our role as we see it now is to move forward with vision and inspire many to join in. We are very grateful for the many young couples and gifted Millennials whose hearts beat with this sense of being on the cusp of revival days. So we are moving strong and fast!!! Lord Have Mercy ;-). We truly covet your prayers and support at this critical season in our ministry.

Maoz, the ministry of Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram in Tel Aviv, send a super report on their evening to honor Dr. David H. Stern at the launch of his Hebrew translation of the Hebrew New Testament Commentary. What a blessing for the Israeli believers and also for outreach! But this night was to honor Dr. Stern for his deep impact on the whole international body of Messianic Jewish believers. Read Katy Smith's report inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Asking prayer for the nation at its 69th birthday, Maoz also writes, "The body of Messiah is growing, and a revival is coming to the cities of this land.  The Spirit of God is moving, stirring up hearts, preparing more harvesters and setting up events that will put this part of His plan in motion for the salvation of ALL Israel." Please pray for them along these lines.

Dov Bikas of the Aviv Ministry among drug addicts and sexual abuse in Tel Aviv (as well as a Russian-speaking congregation in Beer Sheva) sends the testimonies of a couple of the men they are currently working with in rehab. He writes also, "Recently the police closed the central gathering location of the addicts which resulted in them scattering around the city. Nevertheless, the attendance of our center did not drop, and many addicts keep coming – even from afar – especially at night. (Recently we bought more mattresses and the addicts can sleep on the second floor of the center). At present, each month the soup kitchen of Aviv Center serves about 1,000 meals and six to eight street people decide to start a rehab program at one of Israeli Christian rehabilitation centers."

From Revive Israel and invitation to the Shavuot 2017 Livestream; an article by Mati Shoshani, Our Part in the Kingdom of God; VIDEO Dan Juster teaches in Korea #2 during a Passover conference. [English teaching with Korean translation]; and VIDEO Revive Israel in Czech Republic: Recap | Tal and Roni share about their recent trip to the Czech Republic.

Sally Shiff, prayer coordinator and as a native English-speaker, the 'Liaison to the western world' for the Kfar Saba congregation HaMaayan (Wellspring), answers the question, "Just what do you do in Israel?"   Sally tells us what she does ministry-wise - at least those things that are not too-sensitive to share.

Too sensitive to share is something that anyone who is interceding for the Israeli Messianic and Arab Christian ministries needs to be comfortable with. #1 we cannot have exact information on everything because there are safety issues involved that are life and death. Sometimes we cannot even know the names because the safety issues are too critical. That is why it is good to get comfortable with not knowing every detail, and praying in faith especially for these people and situations that must remain under the radar. God knows the details.

You turned my mourning into dancing | New Blog Post by Orna Grinman of A Sign and an Example ministry on the current holiday season

From the Kerem-El (God's Vineyard) congregation also catch us up with their holiday gatherings. During Passover, they write, "We had several immigrant families from the former Soviet Union, who had never celebrated the Passover Seder before, so it was a very special time, indeed.  There was also the blessing of an unbelieving family member who remarked, "There is something special here...it's the Spirit of God."

The congregation in northern Israel also reports on their young adults 'Passover Hike' to the Golan; the Holocaust Memorial Day among them; and a seminar they held recently for married couples. See the congregational prayer requests inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Ron Cantor of Messiah's Mandate and Congregation Tiferet Yeshua sends us this article by Moti Cohen who is the associate pastor of Tiferet Yeshua. Read it online Israel Turns 69, and She’s Looking Good!

Howard Bass of the Nachalat Yeshua (Yeshua's Inheritance) congregation in Beer Sheva notes that, " "Many Jewish people, many Christians, and most of the nations, still do not know whether this is of God or not." Read his article, Israel - Of God, or Not of God?

Howard shares great news of the return to the worship team of thier IDF soldier who has been on our prayer list for a while after having his hand blown up when a pipe bomb was thrown at him while serving his military duty guarding Joseph's Tomb. His second finger was dangling but all the nerves and tendons remained intact.  Doctors wanted to amputate - David said 'no', and they said he would need knuckle replacement. The most important thing to David was being able to return to his guitar to lead worship. He did this last week and now the doctors say he may not need to have the knuckle replaced that he lost. Please continue to pray over David's complete recovery and for the other prayer requests shared by Beer Sheva congregation.

For those in the Tamworth, England area, Howard and Randi will be part of the Prayer for Israel conference upcoming June 3-11.

Ruth Nessim of the Light of Galilee congregation in Nahariya sends us a catch-up ministry letter detailing her busy life - "We have been run off our feet" - at the ripe old age of 80! What an inspiration Ruth is.  She writes about her contacts with both unbeliever Muslims and Jews who cannot help but fall in love with the spirit of this dear lady. She is still pressing in to run the race well, and studying Arabic in order to better communicate with those she has been given a heart to reach out to.  Listen, if you want to be encouraged to run your race full blast to the finish line, just read Ruth's ministry letters. This one inside the Weekly Summary attachment

CLARIFICATION from the Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua) congregation: When they spoke of the vision for the youth village, they want to clarify that it is not a separate entity to the congregation, but part of the long term vision for the use of the property they hope to buy. Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment - also there is clarification on the warehouse mentioned in an earlier newsletter.

Avi and Chaya Mizrachi send greetings and a short update about Israel at 69. Read their statics inside the Weekly Summary attachment

The Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem, Ofer Amitai, Eliyahu Ben-Haim and Chuck Cohen, include notice of the report that US President Trump will come for a 1-day visit to Jerusalem "in May very close to Jerusalem Day, when Israel will celebrate 50 years of the reunification of this city. Also, there are hints that he will announce the moving of the US Embassy to Jerusalem during that time."  Read their suggestions on how to pray for this inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Our eyes caught notice of a report in the Caspari Media review of an article about the anti-missionary group Yad L'Achim - and I am glad God brought our attention to this because at the end of the translated summary the newspaper noted claims that, "there are seventeen 'active missionary centers' in Jerusalem’s Clal Building, including what appears to be a neutral events hall. The article included a call to the owners of the building '…to consult with the department for combating missionary work regarding the ones to whom they are giving their ancestors’ inheritance.”

Since we know many if not most of the Messianic ministries that occupy the Jerusalem Clal Building, please pray that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and every tongue that rises to condemn them, we bring a verdict against now according to our inheritance in Yeshua!

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 4/26/2017

Priority Prayer Focus

“‘O you afflicted one, tossed with tempest, and not comforted…All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.  In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.  Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me, Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake…No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,’ says the LORD” (Isaiah 54:11-17).

Also from Avi & Chaya Mizrachi of Dugit Messianic Outreach Centre in Tel Aviv  www.dugit.org
This video was taken from the Dugit office as Monday was Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel. At 10:00 in the morning there was a siren that went off for two minutes. During the two minutes, everybody stopped what they were doing to remember the Holocaust and all of the innocent lives that were taken. Remember.

Arrows from Zion

Our major focus this week, is of course, the Holocaust Memorial Day that took place in Israel two days ago.  We start with a short piece from David Lazarus of Beit Immanuel in Jaffa who writes, "I have often wondered why we spend so much time reliving these heartbreaking events? Surely the people who lived through these traumas do not need a day to remember, they live everyday with memories." Then he shares a poignant memory of his own of past memorials spent with his grandfather.

Martin Sarvis wades into the profound significance on the Jewish nation, a large percentage of whom suffered loss in either the Holocaust, or in the Israeli Independence Day that will be observed May 2nd. He notes that a euphemism for a Jewish survivor is taken straight from Zechariah 3:2, Ude Mutzal me’Esh—“A Brand Plucked from the Fire".

Martin writes, "Of the estimated 300,000 of those plucked from Hitler’s fires still alive today, an estimated 160,000 reside in Israel.  Ten years ago, one might occasionally notice in the check-out line of a grocery a man or woman with a tattooed number on their forearm, the identification number used in Nazi concentration camps. It is a much-rarer occurrence today.  It is estimated that 14,500 of these dear people pass away each year--around 50 a day, and of course, as the years pass the rate is accelerating."

The birth of Israel was to be a haven for the survivors of the Holocaust and their descendants. The term 'Never again!' a vow to educated the generations to follow so such a thing could not happen again. But, as Martin writes, "... we feel compelled to point out that those nations most at the heart of the ideology which spawned the Holocaust in the 1930’s, had for over 400 years been considered the center of Western civilized education, culture (and for much of that time, the Christian religion). One thing we should have learned from this is that secular Education will never, in and of itself, stem a rising tide of evil. "  Please read more of this enlightening article with prayer points inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

From Barry and Batya Segals' Jerusalem News Network a summary of the UK Independent article revealing that Allied Forces knew about the Holocaust two years before the discovery of concentration camps.

It is a horrible revelation also noted by the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, who go on to speak about the genocides since that time, including those going on today against civilians in Darfur, Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, and the Yazidis in Iraq and Syria. JIJ pleads, "Politicization and a general lack of political will should never be used to enable atrocity crimes such as genocide. International human rights advocacy, such as your generous support of JIJ, is a crucial tool in preventing atrocities in the future." inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Their much-anticipated celebration of Dr. David Stern took place last night - we picked up one of the photos Martha Stern shared on Facebook so you all could see what a great evening of honoring Dr. Stern took place as his newly translated into Hebrew version of the Hebrew New Testament Commentary is now also available in Israel.  Dr. Stern's work has touched the Messianic community the world over and is now set to bless Israeli, as well. Thanks to Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram for this wonderful honoring of David Stern.  Read more from Maoz inside the Weekly Summary attachment

After 22 years in Israel (16 years for Eddie), Lura and Eddie Beckford have announced that in one3 years time they will be moving back the U.S. Lura writes that at their ages - 70 & 73 - this is a huge move back to central Pennsylvania where they will do outreach. From the HaMaayan congregation a prayer request for one of their families experiencing ill health and also impending stressful court proceedings with (as yet) unsaved family members. Read inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Almost two decades ago (just a few years less than) I first became aware of religious persecution against believers when the brother-in-law of young believer family emailed me about his sister's family being threatened by a religious mob that surrounded their home. They were protesting false rumors that the young man had been trying to convert children which is illegal in Israel. Soon the young man was out of a job. Years later I became aware that the young man and his family were still being persecuted, this time in Arad where they were leading a congregation. This man was Yo-Yakim and the Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua) is led by a plurality of elders as Yo-Yakim has for several years devoted himself to the ministry of their young people.

Telling you all this because I was so delighted to read the congregational monthly prayer letter today where the vision that Yo-Yakim has for their young people and the congregation as a whole. He clarifies a point I never knew, and that is that the job he was run out of that I described above was as the manager of welfare shelter for children. He describes "the shortcomings of government-run boarding schools. Although these institutions offer some advantages, especially for troubled young people, ultimately the only real solution is spiritual, and that’s exactly what’s lacking."

Also he says, "I saw a significant number of kids from believing families whose difficult circumstances led the welfare authorities to take them from their homes and place them in large welfare boarding schools like the one pictured here. Life in a place like this is a struggle for survival, and most drift into the world during their teenage years."

Most of us cannot fathom the economic struggle in Israel, and the Messianic believers are not immune to it. Whenever there is economic struggle, there are many other struggles that compound the issues of life. That is a fact everywhere, and it is a fact even among the believers of Israel. Which is why the apostle Paul said in Romans that the Gentile believers were indebted to "the poor among the saints in Jerusalem." Romans 15:26-27, "For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings."

Indeed, it is on the basis of understanding this indebtedness that is the very foundation of the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries that I have published for the past 16 years.  I do hope that among the hundreds of these weekly summaries that have been sent to the four corners of the earth, that many have also received the understanding of our calling to come alongside with material support of the believers in Israel, who are strategic to purposes of God for not only Israel's salvation, but for the greatest worldwide harvest ever seen.

Please read about the vision laid out by Yo-Yakim and the Hasdey Yeshua congregation in Arad inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Eddie Santoro writes from Jerusalem about the Spring Feasts, and add this important word about the Holocaust Remembrance Day, " ...yet as we look back at the horror of this history, we also see how God has redeemed this evil and raised up the nation of Israel. We remember the loss but rejoice in the eight million that are a part of this living nation today."  Eddie also writes about the "busy time" they are having in Jerusalem, read it inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Orna Grinman's new blog post Hidden children is about "The fate of children who survived the holocaust as a result of being hidden in the homes of Christian families or in monasteries is a gloomy issue in Jewish history."
