WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 6/7/2017

Priority Prayer Focus Jun 7, 2017

KehilaNews.com  Kehila (K’hee-lah) is a Hebrew word that means community or congregation.Kehila News is an online community news and information portal by the community (kehila) in Israel, about the community (kehila) in Israel, and for the community (kehila), both in Israel and around the world. Our vision is to connect the millions of Christians around the world who love Israel with the Messianic community in Israel. I believe this is such an important thing for Christians to know and understand about the believers in Israel that I am reprinting this article written by the Kehila News Staff at the front of Arrows from Zion this week. I am 100% FOR Israel, but even Israel has lots of areas that need improvement and the exclusion and attempted exclusion of Jewish believers in Jesus is one area that we must draw a line in sand about. In prayer and in voicing our concerns to the Israeli government without hesitation or apology.

When Israel’s prime minister boasted last month that the Jewish state is “committed to the freedom of all faiths and to the rights of all,” many Messianic Jews trying to make aliyah were left wondering how exactly their faith fits into this picture of democracy and tolerance.

“Throughout the Middle East, Christian communities are decimated, minorities persecuted. But here in Israel, we’re proud to have a growing and thriving Christian community, and we guarantee the rights of all,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said upon welcoming U.S. President Donald Trump to Israel.

Yet several Jews who believe that Yeshua is the Messiah are systematically being denied the right to immigrate to Israel because of their faith, several Messianic Jews contend. As one of them noted when he heard Netanyahu’s speech, “We could only think, ‘unfortunately the rights of all are not yet guaranteed, Mr. Prime Minister.’”

The Ministry of Interior is notorious for barring Jews who believe in Yeshua the right to immigrate. With strict laws for making aliyah, Israel nevertheless actively encourages Jews from around the world to consider making the Jewish state their home. Jews who immigrate receive a benefits package to help them start off here including discounts on major purchases such as homes and cars, tax reductions on their income for a few years and free Hebrew classes.

A person must be able to prove with certain documents that they are Jewish or that they are descended from at least one Jewish grandparent. Then, under the Right of Return, they may move to Israel and receive citizenship. However, Jews who believe in Yeshua are deemed “Christian” and are no longer eligible for citizenship — even if they have proven their Jewish lineage.

While there are a few cases of persecution against believers in Beersheba and recent protests in Dimona, several Messianic Jews trying to make aliyah are still fighting for their status to live here in long, drawn out appeals processes and court cases.

This kind of blatant discrimination must not be allowed to continue … the rights of an entire segment of Jews ARE being trampled. A few whose immigration applications have been rejected by Israel’s Ministry of Interior shared their stories with KNI on condition of anonymity because their cases are ongoing.

“I am sure that Prime Minister Netanyahu is unaware that a handful of people who work for the Interior Ministry are not living up to that statement – at least where it concerns the rights of Messianic Jews who were born of Jewish parents,” C., who is an Israeli Jewish citizen, told us. “These corrupt officials are purposely withholding the right of my son, whose late father was also an Israeli citizen, to live here, in the land of his forefathers.”

“It would be right and proper for our prime minister to be informed of this and to make sure that the rights of all Jews — irrespective of their personal faith beliefs — are legally and morally granted. My son is a Jew by birth, and, as such, he must be allowed to immigrate to his homeland simply because the law says that Jews, the children of Jews and even the grandchildren of Jews are eligible for citizenship,” she continued. “Political and religious views of such individuals is neither the business of the State nor something which makes them ineligible for the Law of Return.”

Jews in all democratic nations of the world are free to believe whatever they want or nothing at all. Not in Israel!
J. and his wife had all of their papers in order to make aliyah and waited on an answer for months. They purchased a home in Israel and set out to serve their community, living off their savings and not intending to burden the state. Finally the response came from the Interior Ministry.

“’You were denied citizenship because you belong to Messianic Judaism, which is an exception to the Law of Return,’ This in spite of the fact that we are 100 percent Jewish,” J. said. “It was not what we had expected.”

J. noted that Jews, in all democratic nations of the world, are free to believe whatever they want or nothing at all. Even in Israel a Jewish person can be involved in New Age, Buddhism, atheism, etc.

“But believe in Yeshua? You’re labeled a ‘dangerous missionary’ and various anti-missionary organizations will work hard to find you out and then keep you out,” J. said. “This, Mr. Prime Minister, is not our idea of guaranteeing the rights of all. Perhaps, now is the time to uphold the words that you proclaimed to the president of the United States of America.”

J.’s lawyers are pessimistic about them receiving citizenship despite a years-long appeals process.

We felt as if we had been violated and that we were criminals
In another case, A., who is an Israeli Jew, and her husband who isn’t Jewish, were called in by the Interior Ministry. They were split up and their phones taken from them and then interrogated separately as to which congregation they belong and whether A. shares a “foreign faith” with her husband.

“We obviously felt as if we had been violated and that we were criminals,” she said.

The questions included what they do on the weekends and names of their friends.

“Everything that we said was being written down, and then we were requested to sign what they wrote,” she said.

The people interviewed here, and others not mentioned in this article but encountering the same treatment, are understandably drained and discouraged.

“We committed ourselves to give and not to take – of our time, our talents and our finances,” J. told us. “We’re not here to try to change the laws of the land. We are just requesting some form of status so that we can remain here and continue to serve individuals and families in our city.”

C. concurred and said it’s about time the Ministry of Interior live up to Netanyahu’s words.

“This kind of blatant discrimination must not be allowed to continue,” she said, “because it means that the rights of an entire segment of Jews are being trampled upon.”

Please keep this as a Priority Prayer focus. One reason to do so is because the blessing that the LORD has for Israel is deposited in the believers of Israel. Out of the BODY of Messiah in Israel will flow the blessing out to the whole nation.

If we could point to one core scripture motivating the Israeli ministries, I think it would be the one shared by the Hasdey, or Mercy of Yeshua congregation in Arad this week: “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”...And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Yeshua said to him, Feed My Sheep."  John 21:17

As they write, "Feeding Yeshua’s sheep involves much more than just proclaiming the Good News. ... during Yeshua’s ministry on earth, He fed the multitudes, healed the sick, raised the dead and proclaimed Good News to the poor. If we are truly His disciples, we are called to live our lives in the same way, showing the love of God through meeting people’s physical needs and their spiritual needs through helping them come into a relationship with Yeshua."

The congregation writes about their several year outreach to a Bedouin tribe near to Arad with care in various forms - after school programs for the children, food, clothing and other practical help. They also write that they have to go to the tribe because "The needy won’t come here; they would become targets for the ultra-orthodox." Do you see what they are up against?  Read their full report and critical prayer requests inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Maoz weekly ministry letter for Ari & Shira Sorko-Ram starts with the disappointing news that President Trump did not move the US Embassy to Jerusalem as promised and hoped for, but instead signed the 6-month waiver. They note that the Israeli Prime Minister also has some critical decisions in front of him, like whether or not to build new neighborhoods in Judea and Samaria. Read about these inside the Weekly Summary attachment along with suggested prayer points.

From the Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem, Ofer Amitai, Eliyahu Ben-Haim and Chuck Cohen, we have pulled four key prayer points from their Friday Prayer Points: Salvation of Moslems during the month of Ramadan, Salvation of Israel (in light of the death of an Israeli evangelist in Iraq), and for the Aliyah of Jews to Israel: "Ezekiel 36 suggests that Aliyah is a precondition for the fullness of salvation which is to come among the Jews.  "For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean."  Ezekiel 36:24-25" Lastly for the Scottish Israel Prayer conference several of them are participating in before the UK elections.

Asher Intrater of Revive Israel has been overflowing with the theme of Alignment for a couple of years now. If you follow his video teachings, you've probably caught that. Here is a video on the subject from the recent Baruch HaBa tour of Revive Israel and Tents of Mercy. (An excellent tour which I took in 2005). Asher also has an article, Aggressive Fruit of the Spirit.

Also featured in the Revive Israel ministry letter this past Friday is Moti Cohen's short piece about Far Mitzvah, Son of the Commandment. Read it inside the Weekly Summary attachment. Also Cody Archer shares in this video what the Revive tem have been up to all over the world in the past year - and what's coming next: International Outreach Report

Fresh of their 21st Galilee Worship Gathering, Arni and Yonit Klein are really excited about what God has been doing among them and inside the Weekly Summary attachment, Arni shares a couple of prophetic intercession experiences they've have had in these gatherings - in the most recent a worship trip to the Dead Sea. You can read about upcoming gatherings in their prayer letter inside the Summary, also about upcoming ministry trips from Hong Kong to Vietnam.

We loved the panoramic photo of the entire congregation that Peniel Fellowship in Tiberias sent us (and you can view inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries). Wow! What a thriving community of believers of Yeshua! Daniel and Shirya Yahav lead the Face of God Fellowship and they share some of the recent testimonies within their congregation, also asking prayers for one of their newborns, a baby girl who has already undergone heart surgery at only a few days old. Shirya also asks prayer over Daniel and their family as he goes out into the nations to minister. Also, they are continuing to need prayer and support for a larger congregational facility.

Shirya also writes, "We continue to desire your prayers for the salvation of Israel. Many are hungry and seeking but unfortunately the New Testament is still considered much of a Taboo, and a forbidden book. Amazingly, there is a lot of eastern religions becoming more and more popular among our people, but believing in Yeshua, from the line of David, whom the Bible speaks about, is considered a false religion…  We need God to pour out His spirit and open the eyes of people to the truth!"

Ronit Bender in Carmel has just returned from a 3-week ministry trip in the US putting Israel in the spotlight in Colorado and Rhode Island. Ronit writes, "When I go out to the nations it is a great honour to have the opportunity to share first-hand about what is happening among the Messianic congregations in Israel. You probably realize that mainstream news concerning Israel is often adverse and distorted. The media is rarely supportive of us. So, when Christians hear what’s happening on the ground, their eyes and hearts are opened. Messianic congregations in Israel are very grateful to you, our Christian friends around the world, as you are our only friends. Thank you for standing with us. God sees you’re your steadfastness and I believe He will lift you up." Read about her trip and for plans already underway to return later in 2017 inside the Weekly Summary attachment

On Jerusalem Day, Israel Pochtar reports that they were able to baptize 30 new believers in the Jordan River. He writes about the experience inside the Weekly Summary attachment. "....It is also crucially important to recognize the times in which we're living and understand that the Gospel has to be preached to the nation of Israel. We see with our own eyes the massive harvest that is ready to be reaped. The time is now! We shall pray and preach the Kingdom of God in this nation, until we have prepared this land for the glorious return of the King of Israel, the eternal hope of our nation - Yeshua."

They also share a new way to give with a vehicle donation program to assist those in need. See details inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

Also, if you are in Israel and need an intensive course in Hebrew, the Yuval Messianic Worship Center is going to have just such a program beginning in July. Watch this VIDEO LINK and get contact information inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Teaching Articles

Refusing to Love the Truth
by Dan Juster, Restoration from Zion www.tikkunministries.org

Our young adults are brought up in a culture that does not pursue truth. We are in great danger because this orientation prepares the way for the Anti-Christ: "They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved" (II Thessalonians 2:10, NIV). Over the decades I have found that if a person can be brought to the place of asking God to reveal the truth, and then orient to study and seek the truth, the person usually becomes a believer in Yeshua.  Read more online

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 5/31/2017

Priority Prayer Focus SHAVUOT

SHAVUOT, the Feast of Pentecost. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this day in Acts 2 came an outpouring of revelatory power, the power to understand the words of God beyond previous ability. We need this power to  understand God's Word more than ever before in this hour, so let's pray that the Body of the LORD worldwide would have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us.

In that vein, I want to offer this short teaching article by Avner Bosky of David's Tent in the Negev. Holy Spirit, ‘fake news’ and the heart of Ruth. "Religious Jews are taught that Shavuot is the date of Matan Torah (the giving of the Sinai Covenant), and they remember Ruth the famous Moabite woman who ‘converted to Judaism.’ It may come as a surprise for some of us to find out that the Bible’s take on these events is somewhat different. Let’s dig in and take a look."

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Starting off this week with the monthly ministry report and prayer letter from the Tikkun aligned ministries in Israel whose operations director is Benjamin Juster. Ben leads with the just completed 2017 Baruch HaBa tour of Israel hosted by the affiliated ministries within Tikkun, Revive Israel and Tents of Mercy. If you are going to tour Israel, you really should make a point of doing it with one of the many tours that are offered by the Messianic ministries of Israel. It is a leap beyond the regular tours and you will make an important connection with Yeshua's body in Israel.

Ben also shares that the many of their leaders have traveled to the US for the Tikkun America leadership and RESTORE conferences. Please pray for them as the minister (and also for Asher during the month of June as he is finishing a new book).

Also: Revive Israel / Tikkun - exciting changes are on the horizon and resulting from the intense prayer and leadership meetings over the past year. Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer as we craft the communications for these changes to go out to all of our various partners and friends. Many items of transition are still in discussion. Would you pray with us for continued wisdom, clarity, and practical strategy?

AND: The Tents of Mercy leadership team is also praying for practical wisdom for the coming season. Please pray for Eitan, Avishalom, Leon, Guy, Eric, and the elders within the affiliated congregations. Pray for a new surplus of abundant provision for the humanitarian projects, congregational development, and outreach. More inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

Katy Smith for the Maoz Ministries of Ari & Shira Sorko-Ram, gives a follow up on President Trump's visit to Israel, writing, " As far as our government is concerned (and the majority of Israelis), this is a fantastic achievement, as each of Donald J. Trump's predecessors in the last few decades have tried to push Israel into this bad deal." Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment   where Katy touches on the persecution of believers by the ultra-Orthodox Yad L'Achim; the Manchester terror attack, and transitions within the Maoz organization.

One article we noted on Twitter from the Times of Israel gives a glimmer of hope that one of the figures that spearheads much persecution of the believers of Yeshua in Israel - keeping out believers and also trying to kick out the believers who are citizens, Aryeh Deri, may be banned from heading the Interior Ministry. Amid graft probe, police may request house arrest for minister Deri.  He has already served time in prison for the same kind of corruption and police are seeking a revokation of his parliamentary immunity.

Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment for how this article impacts the believers in Israel, and how we might pray into Aryeh Deri's Interior Ministry control being removed - granting a relief for believers. This happened once before and the Interior Ministry went into secular oversight. There is still bureaucratic (systemic) persecution baked into the cake at the Interior Ministry, but without a head like Deri, it is somewhat more suppressed. Let's pray on this.

Ron Cantor of Messiah's Mandate and the GOD TV program Out of Zion also gives his thoughts on the Trump Israel visit.  Ron also shares this exciting testimony from a Former Muslim woman shares at Tiferet Yeshua how she found salvation

Peter Tsukahira, one of the leaders at the Carmel Congregation in Haifa share about their celebration of Israel Independence day, an article written just two days before the passing of their "much loved Founding Pastor, David Davis." Most of us have suffered the loss of a close loved one - a patriarch or matriarch of the family. As it is with individuals, so it is with a congregational family, there is a sustained grieving process as we consider our loss. Please pray for the family of the Carmel Congregation, for David's wife Karen and his natural family, but also his spiritual family now that David has taken up residence in Heaven...there are still tears being shed here on earth.  Read the rest of the Carmel ministry report inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Asher Intrater's Revive Israel sends us two short posts that you can read inside the Weekly Summary attachment: The testimony of a man who was in the squad that blew up the Zion's Gate in the 1967 recapture of Jerusalem. "Seeing the supernatural protection on his life with bullets flying, fellow-soldiers dying and bombs exploding, was part of what brought him to faith." Also, a summary of a Clarion Project article of four powerful statements made by Donald Trump in his Saudia Arabia speech. (Don't miss this because it will deepen your understanding.) Finally, VIDEO Thailand Outreach Recap from Tal HaRoni

Hearing from Avner and Rachel Boskey after several months as "The pace of our days has accelerated significantly in the past five months" with their ministry school E37 in full swing. Hear more about the school inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries. The Boskey's suggest connecting with them on Facebook, Avner and Rachel, a platform that makes it much easier for keeping in touch.

Avner's new book  Jews, Arabs & the Middle East . They write, "This book will help you to make sense of these convulsions and birth pangs – to recover an ancient key guaranteed to open the Fertile Crescent’s rusted padlock.” There is also a Boskey family update with where & what their children are up to these days - much ministry-oriented. inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel shares a word on the meaning of Shavuot and so the exciting special baptism event at First Fruits. He writes, "We have always been very passionate and focused on gospel outreach and evangelism. It has been the driving force behind most of the work we do, to bring the Good News of Yeshua to the people of Israel. Which is why it is so exciting when we see the harvest of everything that has been sown, and in this case we have 70 newly saved believers whom we will take on this Feast of Pentecost up to Jordan river to receive water baptism."

They are also celebrating the 1 year anniversary of their congregation in Rishon Le-Zion, led by Igor and Natalie. Israel writes, "Continue praying with us for this congregation, as well as all the others we have planted. For God to give us wisdom, anointing and guidance in continuing to grow and establish the Kingdom of God in the land of Israel."  (You can learn about the progress on their building renovations in Ashdod too inside the Weekly Summary attachment)

Evan and Maala Thomas in Netanya - long time no see, from this ministry too! - are catching up after a busy season the last few months. "As written in the March report, Maala and Evan rendezvoused in Hong Kong on Maala’s way back to Israel from NZ. We spent 6 days together with Swiss colleagues from "BeYachad" (A Swiss/ Israeli Christian organization, which helps raise support for salaries of both Messianic and Palestinian/Arab Christian ministers)." Read more about this significant paradigm shift for BeYachad inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Also, "Marcel Rebiai and Evan were asked by a broad group of Messianic and Palestinian pastors to provide 'eldership' for a combined team of worship leaders from our respective communities. Our mandate was to produce a worship event in central Jerusalem in Hebrew and Arabic, as a testimony of unity from within our communities. Approximately 500 local Believers attended from Jerusalem and beyond, with a number of leaders cancelling their Shabbat services to encourage their flocks to attend." Read more about this exciting event which we have been hearing great praise from many in Israeli ministry, inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Hopefully all Arrows from Zion subscribers realize that each week the attached Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries, contains lengthier excerpts from the prayer letters we have received over the past week, as well as contact information for those ministries. We encourage you to use that information to make direct connection with any and all ministries that speak to your heart.

For much more from the Beit Ashap congregation led by Evan Thomas, plus prayer points, please open and read inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Joel and Teresa Jelski make a clarification about their recent ectopic pregnancy that ended a few weeks ago.  "We did not feel at any point the enemy had stolen something from us, but that God had taken over the situation for us. We trust him and his leadership in what has taken place." It is a beautiful expression of trust and I hope you will read their full statement.

Also, since Joel has graduated from his studies, they are making changes, including joining the new leadership team of the Katzir, or Harvest conferences that are national youth retreats for the Messianic families in Israel. Katzir has been overseen by Eitan Shishkoff since its inception and is an important ministry to teens in each of its three annual retreat events. Learn more about the Jelski's future plans inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Howard Bass of the Yeshua's Inheritance congregation in Beer Sheva writes about Shavuot and brings a clarification about the Jubilee: "this year marks the END of the 50th year/Jubilee of the liberation of Jerusalem -- being the end of the 50th year, rather than marking the Jubilee year, since we are now going into the 51st year. Be that as it may, let us strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the Body of Messiah in hope of the fulfillment of the promise which the giving of the Holy Spirit and YHVH's law anticipates."

Howard shares news of lots of congregational-related gatherings in the last - losing some of their university students who make Nachalat Yeshua their congregational home during studies, for one. There is also an update on their wounded soldier/worship leader on Kehila News Israel (KNI) with David Bronshtein; and their soldier among the recipents of the Presidential Award for excellence, KNI with an interview with Mark Lampert.

Randi and Howard are off to the UK to speak at a conference on "Waiting For The Blessed Hope"

Lastly we report the sad news just heard a couple of hours ago from friends in Johannesburg, South Africa of the death of Antony Simon, Voice in the Wilderness Jerusalem. They messaged me on Facebook that Antony Simon was accidentally struck by a car in Erbil, Iraq and has died from his injuries. The British man was an evangelist and had just apparently shared the gospel with a group of nominal Christians in Erbil before the accident. We await more news on this sad event. My friends were supporters of Antony's ministry.

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 5/24/2017

Priority Prayer Focus Jerusalem Day

In Martin Sarvis' May 8th Update he wrote about the severe drought in Israel - the fourth in a row for northern Israel - and after hardly any rains in Israel this Spring.  Martin remembered that, "Ten years ago—on Israel’s 40th “Jerusalem Day”, long after rain was considered to have halted for the summer, a sudden violent storm erupted over Jerusalem.  Pavilions were blown down, parades and other festivities were halted.  And there was flooding—unusual for this city—serious flooding with water up to the middle of cars!  Then it was gone.  In just over two weeks, Israel will celebrate her 50th birthday as a united city."

Israelprayer:  Last night at the start of 50th Anniversary of  Jerusalem Day and the end of the US Presidential visit to Israel, on Twitter the spokesman for the Jewish Agency for Israel tweeted:  "It's drizzling. In Jerusalem. In the middle of May. Bizarre."

It appears that God is speaking to us on this 50th anniversary of the taking of Jerusalem by Israeli forces during the Six Day War, that He remains committed to His promise of Isaiah 44:2-4, Thus says the LORD who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you, ‘Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; and you Israel whom I have chosen. For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants; And they will spring up among the grass like poplars by streams of water.’

We are living in prophetic times - times of great darkness but also the rising light of the LORD upon us.

Starting off this week with a short video from Asher Intrater, Jerusalem Day,  which he discusses US President Trump's visit to Israel during Jerusalem Day and what the significance of Jerusalem is. Does this year's 50th anniversary (jubilee) of the capturing of Jerusalem have any significance? Is there yet more to be accomplished concerning the reunification of Jerusalem in God's plan? In this video, Asher discusses these questions and more!

In the Maoz ministries report of Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram last week, prior to the Trump visit to Israel, Katy Smith asked a question that has been swirling in the news media: Does the Western Wall belong to Israel? She also posted at critical prayer request that we urge especially our American subscribers to keep on their prayer list throughout the Trump presidency: "PRAY that God will remove ungodly counsel from the President and surround him with people who know His Word and the importance of standing with Israel."

Maoz also wrote about the new "Jesus Storybook Bible" in Hebrew that just went into print and another that will be out later this year. It has been almost a year since we heard from David and Leah Ortiz in Ariel, as they have sought to go quietly about the Father's business. You may or may not know that they were targeted in a religious bombing in their home where they came very close to losing their youngest son, Ami who opened the package bomb and took the full brunt of the blast. It is only God's intervention that pulled the 15-year old through after the Purim bombing of 2008.

Leah writes that Ami's wounds continue to be an issue although he is doing well having graduated with a BA in Psychology, working as a caseworker for abused children, and with a goal of pursuing his Masters in Clinical Psychology. Soon Ami will have to undergo yet another operation, this one for one of his ear drums. Please keep Ami in prayer, as well as the whole family. To catch up more with the rest of Ortiz family and their ministry, please read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment

It has also been a few months since we heard from Pastor Najeeb and Elisabeth Atteih, the Lebanese Christian pastors of the Immanuel Church and Bookshop in Haifa. Elisabeth explains that a much busy schedule and some health problems of Najeeb have prohibited their ministry reporting. The critical issue they bring to the fore for us is their need to restock their bookshop shelves, especially with Arabic Bibles for all age ranges. If you have read the prayer letters of the past you will know that their Bible bookshop gets all kinds of people from Muslims to religious Jews, to international visitors.  They welcome all with open arms and the message of the gospel. You will also know that they are quite instrumental in nurturing the Arab IDF soldiers, of which their son is one. Please read more about the ministry which in my view is a major testimony of the power of Yeshua to bring reconciliation. Read it inside the Weekly Summary attachment.  They need about $10,000 to restock their bookshop shelves, and write: "We are not simply book-sellers, but an evangelistic enterprise, but we ourselves do not have the funds." Contact information is supplied in the Weekly Summary attachment.

Even though the Trump visit to Israel has past, Ron Cantor's call to pray over this issue and the information shared in this article are still valid. Please read A call to pray for President Trump before Israel visit - as he Backtracks on Promise to Move Embassy

Howard Bass in the Yeshua's Inheritance congregation in Beer Sheva also writes about the Trump visit to Israel and the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem coming back into Israeli control. But, Howard writes, "It has been 50 years (on the Hebrew calendar) since Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six-Day War in June, 1967.  It is clear now for many years already that this did not bring the "times of the Gentiles" to fulfillment.  Jerusalem is still being trampled underfoot by the Gentile powers, and East Jerusalem -- the Biblical Jerusalem, where the Old City and Temple Mount are located -- is still being offered as the capital of some potential Palestinian state.  Jerusalem's peace will only come with the return of the rightful Heir to the throne of David. Until then, there is still much unrest and trouble.  Keep Jerusalem in your hearts and prayers, for the sake of the name of the Lord, who has chosen that city as His -- the city of the great King!  For now, she has the spirit of Sodom and Egypt (Rev 11:8), and awaits her full redemption."

Read more from the ministry inside the Weekly Summary attachment including the news that one of the congregations soldiers, "Mark Lampert, was a recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence on Independence Day!  I have heard that there was also another believer who received the same honor.  This is award is given to 120 Israelis serving in the military, and they come from every stream of the society, from all parts of the country, from across the religious sectors of those serving the country in this way."

Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher congregation in Akko sends a word that will encourage you to rehearse who Yeshua says you are more than any other source of input in your life. Get his scriptures of "Who I Am" inside the Weekly Summary attachment along with multiple prayer requests from their Katzir Asher congregation.

Eddie and Jackie Santoro are also participating the "incredible season here in Israel - so much is happening!"  Eddie notes that on the "incredibly significant prophetic event [of Jerusalem Day], not only for Israel but for the whole world, President Trump has come to Jerusalem." He also prays, "May God fill him with boldness and courage as he considers Jerusalem. It is and will be the undivided capital of Israel forever. God promised it. May the United States walk in this truth and support God's promises and may His blessings be poured out upon America as she stands as a friend of Israel."

Truly the failure to consider what significance God continues to place on Israel and Jerusalem as the point of Jesus' return to earth, we see not only the leaders of the world go far astray from the solutions to the horrific problems they face, but we also see a great swath of the Church completely missing what God is doing in the hour at hand. No one that fails to see that Jerusalem, Israel and the Jewish people are in the center of what God is doing in this hour can lead others into safety and security. Keep praying for our spiritual and political leaders to receive from God "eyes to see and ears to hear" what the Spirit is saying.

"What can I say in your honor, Jerusalem, that hasn’t already been said? Everyone wants to crown you and say “she’s mine”, or “I was here first.” Is there a place left on your head for me to set some crowns of my own? A head stand or a nod?"  Orna Grinman of A Sign & An Example writes in a new blog post Who will stand on his head for her?

From the Jerusalem Institute of Justice another short word on the history of the city of Jerusalem and how the nations have restricted religious freedom in Jerusalem with "Israel's victory in the Six Day War resulted in the reunification of Jerusalem and freedom of worship was restored to members of all faiths."  This, of course, relates to the work of the JIJ, "dedicated to confronting discrimination and exploitation by promoting human dignity to ethnic, religious and cultural minorities in Israel and throughout the Middle East."  Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Kobi and Shani (Sorko-Ram) Ferguson, Yeshua Israel Ministries & Israel Prayer Tower in Jerusalem, write about the Trump visit and Jerusalem Day. " President Donald Trump just completed his first visit to Israel. Despite the huge levels of security it required, his trip was said to be largely personal in nature. He explained he wanted to come pray at the Western Wall to ask God for wisdom." Hallelujah! May God grant this prayer of the President of the United States beyond his wildest expectations!

They also note this extremely important fact, in that Trump is the FIRST SITTING PRESIDENT to ever visit and pray at the Western Wall, which is in the eastern side of the city claimed by the Palestinians. No sitting president ever wanted to wade into the dung storm of to whom that piece of property belonged.

As stated earlier - no one that considers what God has stated in the Bible about it fails to understand that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel. But nations discounting this information fool themselves into believing they can make the rules according to what is convenient to them. Not so. Ecclesiastes 8:11 says, "Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil." False worship on the Temple Mount - God's HOLY MOUNTAIN - is coming, not by the hand of men, but by the hand of God. At that point no doubt will be left in anyone's mind but that the City of The Great King, Yeshua, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, is Jerusalem, Israel.

Also noted by the Ferguson's "Ivanka Trump, known locally by her Jewish name, Yael, also visited the Wall and was seen crying as she prayed." Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Sally Shiff, who is the Liaison and intercessor for the Kfar Saba Congregation of the Wellspring writes, "As I watched the ceremonies at the Western wall, I was struck with the new chapter that God is turning with this historic event. Fifty years is significant in the Jewish Religion. It’s the year of Jubilee. And all this month, there is much jubilation going on in Jerusalem as well as Israel. But how does this impact you??? I hope it’s a reminder that God is STILL in the business of promises fulfilled in each of our lives. In today’s real life, it might be hard to see God’s hand working. With terrorist activities throughout the world, maybe some of your families going through hard times of enduring death, divorce, and lost relationships. But, in spite of these troubled times, we still need to hold on to the Hope of the Nations, the Lover of our souls. " Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment

Jewish Giftedness & World Redemption: The Calling of Israel
by Jim Melnick

Jim Melnick is a good friend and a great lover of Israel and the Jewish people. You will be greatly blessed by his book on this overdue subject. -Donna Diorio, Arrows from Zion

Published by Messianic Jewish Publishers. This book looks at the undisputed fact that Jewish people excel in so many fields, and relates that to the fact that, as the Chosen People, they were called to be a “nation of priests” and “a light to the nations.”

Jim writes, "I’m very excited about the book’s potential impact. I think it will bless Messianic believers greatly, but I also wrote it evangelistically, with secular Jews in mind as potential readers."
