Uzza: A Cautionary Tale | Arrows from Zion | 5 7 2021

Levites Carrying the Ark, a bas relief at the Auch Cathedral in France
God struck Uzza dead when he reached out to steady the Ark. It is something that has puzzled many over the years: Why would God do such a thing to someone so well intentioned?

There is a Right Way & a Wrong Way
to Restore the Ark to Jerusalem

Uzza: A Cautionary Tale
by Donna Diorio

Let Uzza be a cautionary tale for our good intentions, because God has His own way to restore the Ark to Jerusalem in order to restore true worship back to Jerusalem, and we must not assume we can do it without following His way.
The Ark is symbolic of Yeshua, our covering of blood over the Mercy Seat, so we are talking about our attempts to restore the true worship to Jerusalem, meaning restoring faith in Yeshua to Jerusalem. God has a way to do that and we should not act in presumption we Christians are His "sent ones" to do that.

1 Chronicles 13 and 2 Samuel 6 tells the story of how Uzza was struck - he had good intentions to steady the cart that was carrying the Ark, but he reached out and touched what God said could only be touched by Levites.
Can you hear me: I tell you the Levites are symbolic for the Israeli Messianic Jews of our day. Restoring the faith of Yeshua to Israel is already prescribed by God for them, not for the non-Jewish from the nations. God has put the mandate for restoring faith in Yeshua on the shoulders of Levites, the Jewish believers in Israel who are carrying the true worship in the Land.
Christians can share their faith with Jews anywhere in the world, but to hold the idea that restoring the faith of Yeshua in Israel is a Christian call, this is not who God has given that mandate. We Christians SHOULD be helpers, but we cannot be like UZZA reaching out to touch the restoration in a way that God has not sanctioned, because it could lead to death of the good intentioned, even as it led to death in Uzza's case.
The Hebrew scriptures were written for our example and we should heed what happened to Uzza when he did not follow God's instructions that only the Levites could touch the Ark - restoring Yeshua to Jerusalem. We can help them, but we cannot tell them to stand aside, as we try to do it instead of them.

You need to know how many Israeli congregations and ministries are severely struggling financially right now after all the Covid restrictions in Israel over the past year, the inability to travel to raise donations in the nations and generally the lack of material support from the Christians who love Israel. PLEASE if you can bless an Israeli ministry at this time, especially the smaller ones who are really struggling, please donate what you can to their relief. It is our duty, the apostle to the Gentiles said in

Romans 15:26-27  “For (the churches in) Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Christians in the nations have shared in the Israeli Messianic Jews’ spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings.”

Christians are not sharing in the spiritual blessings of unsaved Jews in Israel,
we are sharing spiritual blessings with the SAVED remnant in Israel.

One of the callings of the Levites was leading the worship,

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

With the premier of a special concert on Shavuot/Pentecost, Kobi and Shani Ferguson of Maoz are launching a new vision in the Friends of the Fellowship of Artists.  What is the Fellowship of Artists? It is their vision for  the restoration of Israel’s Levitical worshippers and the direct connection this would have with Israel’s salvation. As Kobi and Shani point out, “Everything the world knows about worshiping the one true God originated in Israel. With that kind of heritage, Israel is surely a place believers around the world should yearn to explore the depths of worship we all are longing for.”  To be a friend of the Fellowship of Artists would mean your donations could help, for “The Levites of old had a call to worship; but only when the community around them fulfilled their role in supporting the call, were the Levites able to carry out their lifework.” Watch for details to come on how to access the concert.
Before I even read this ministry letter this week, God also spoke to my heart about how the Israeli ministries, from the worshippers to the pastors, the outreach ministers, the media ministers – print and broadcast – they are all operating in the role of God’s Levites of Israel today.  And the need of the international Christians to support them is exactly like the in the ancient times when the other 11 tribes of Israel supported the Levities who were dedicated to the ministry.  This is happening today, my friends, if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Guy Cohen in Acco writes about his expectancy since he became a believer years ago in his birthplace and where he now pastors the Harvest of Asher congregation, of a community like the first century we read about in Acts 2. “A community where the tie is spiritual and not soulish; there is a lifestyle of giving and investing in or building one another. A lifestyle of being in partnership one with the other.” He writes, “We are the pioneers that God wants to use to build His community on earth as it is in heaven.” As in Yeshua’s prayer of Matthew 6:10 (Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven) he envisions this as “when each member of the congregation stops looking at himself and instead looks to Yeshua and to the father heart of God, we will achieve a unity that tears down all worldly systems and builds a community of breakthrough.” He asks, “How is this possible? The desire to invest in the lives of others will come from within.”

Israel Pochtar sends video messages on Shavuot: the Power of Pentecost Part 1| Part 2 | Part 3. Also two devotional articles from Vicky Pochtar: Who Am I? Finding Your Identity | and Wisdom that Comes from Accountability and one from husband Israel The Desert’s Silence. Also two videos:  Preparing for Israel's Harvest | Shavuot: The Harvest Awaits: Learn how you can partner with us in bringing the Gospel to the people of Israel and share in the harvest and blessing of God

Tree of Life ministries’ Ariel Hyde is reporting a miracle breakthrough they had with Big Tech censorship severely limiting their Israeli Pro-Life and Gospel Campaign. Despite experts saying it was “impossible” the suppression of their video on two social media platforms were removed and “the video has reached over 1.6 million views in just one month! (There are only around 5 million YouTube users per month in Israel in general.) We've had a massive increase of visits to our evangelistic websites and social media pages. Thousands of Israelis have contacted us. Of course, many are aggressively against us and our message. But we were surprised to see how many positive responses there have been.” They sent some beautiful individual testimonies of those who were touched by God viewing the video, and the Tree of Life team is praising God for answers to our prayer.  “Please watch or read the story and help spread this news of God’s incredible work by sharing this video from our Youtube, and on all the new social media outlets!”  This is such an important spiritual breakthrough because abortion is completely acceptable in Israeli society. These ministers of Yeshua are making a mighty difference proclaiming the truth in a compassionate way.

Rachel Netanel is still mending from a broken ankle, saying the process is so slow and painful. She writes of being in physiotherapy and says, “I have very small bones and therefore, my ankles were weak even before the fall. I am forcing myself to walk with a walker and sometimes with crutches but the progress does seem slow. God is teaching me many things through this ordeal and I am grateful that I am on the mend.” Along with husband Gilad they are still rolling out wonderful hospitality to people in Ein Kerem at their home, and a home in Zukim in the south where they were also led to minister their hospitality and testimony of Yeshua to friends and neighbors there. Many, many come and are blessed. BUT they were hit with another major challenge to overcome when someone took a hacksaw to the exhaust system and catalytic converter of their car. “Now the car is repaired but it is completely unreliable and the damage seems severe. We will need to buy a new car so please pray for God’s provision for this.” Theft of catalytic converters is rampant in Texas too because it is a quick steal that brings big bucks. Rachel has been known as one of the most anointed evangelists in Israel. It is important that her ankle be healed and fortified, and that they are able to replace their vehicle to minister in all the places God has sent them. Please consider making a donation toward this ministry (directly at PayPal to beitnetanel@gmail.com or thru Tikkun).

From the Glory of Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv (Tiferet Yeshua) Gil Afriat sends an article by Moti Cohen, director of their Feed Tel Aviv outreach ministry Feed Tel Aviv: Surprising Encounters that Keep us Going and an article Israel's Green Passport - Crossing a Red Line.
[DD: They did not include this in their email but I learned this week, that like many congregations in Israel, the Tiferet Yeshua congregation is currently under an extremely tight financial stress. This is the thing, dear subscribers:  Most of the congregations and ministries barely ever mention this stuff, or when their pastors have to work secular jobs to keep the ministries afloat.
That is the sacrificial level of commitment and reality of ministry life in Israel that I discovered 20 years ago when I started this mailing list. It improved somewhat over the years, but now the post-Covid world has brought the lack of resources back into a number one priority prayer request for all of the Israeli ministries.  It is not the way of Messianic Jews to continually be ‘begging for donations’ like we are used to seeing in the US from Christians ministries in far better financial situations. This is just the reality of ministry life in Israel and it is no dishonor to the Israeli ministries because WE in the churches are supposed to be helping them materially, financially! The apostle Paul called it our duty, our obligation to them.  Please, if you can give a donation today, please do.  Help this Hebrew-speaking congregation in Tel Aviv taking some of the financial burden off their back.]

From Revive Israel’s Asher Intrater, some honest words about the terrible disaster last week at Meron that left 44 ultraOrthodox dead and dozens wounded. This may shock some, but Asher writes, “On a spiritual level, the event was promoting a false Messiah, with a promise of false salvation, both temporally and eternally.  Those involved in the disaster were part of an extremist cult.. . . So, yes, the disaster demands deep-felt, heart-wrenching prayer, both in compassion for the victims, but also in abhorrence of the cultic deception surrounding the event.” Revive also sends his article The Second Coming Battle, last week’s worship & message by Asher in the Global Broadcast, and an appeal to Partner With Us from this ministry which is preparing not only for a spiritual harvest in Israel, but for the unifying “one new man” connections among international Christians.

City of Life in Sderot has come under a new barrage of rocket fire from Gaza, but they continue to reach out with much need practical and emotional help to the citizens there. Reaching Families in Difficulties with the Love of Messiah. These are needy, poor families and Michael and Dina Beener are dedicated to ministering to them. They send a”new video you can learn more about our calling

From Chuck Cohen at Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem, Friday Prayer Points 4/30/2021   and Friday Prayer Points 5/7/2021 and Watchmen from Jerusalem teaching: God Challenges the Church Part 2. The goal of the teaching is to challenge believers in that they cannot really say they believe in the New Testament if they do not also believe in what the New Testament says about the Old Testament - which is that it is still the Word of God today. May your trust in God's complete Word grow even more as you read this.

Messiah’s Mandate’s Ron Cantor writes about his week of taping for Shelanu and GOD TV before headed back to Israel which he sends news on Hamas and their surrogates have stepped up the rocket attacks against Israel. The government is bordering on crazyland! ). And now we learn that John Kerry has been sharing secrets about Israel with Iran!  But the good news is “Shelanu TV is now getting 20,000 and 30,000 views, with 50% coming from inside of Israel!... These are Hebrew testimonies, music videos and our new travel show. You are doing this through your support. Thank you! Israelis are hearing the gospel!” To donate

Chaim Malespin who is the director of the Aliyah Return Center, ARC for short, sends a testimony of a family with young kids. “Watch as they tell their story of how your generosity in these times, helped them get settled in Israel and make it through the great struggles which have intensified, during this pandemic.” Chaim also writes, Don't forget to mark your calendars for the next upcoming "VIRTUAL" event: Shavuot (Pentecost)! We invite you to Join Us for this exclusive online event as we enter into worship and prayer on the sea of Galilee. The event will take place May 16th, 2021 at 7pm Israel time on Facebook Live

Gilad Rosinger of Radiant Israel invites you to join along in the Yeshua Fast leading up to Shavuot / Pentecost, and for their our weekly fellowship, Global Shabbat, as we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and provide peace for us all together.
Join us this Saturday, May 1 at 10:30am PST / 12:30pm CST / 1:30pm EST / 8:30pm Israel time. It will be streamed LIVE on both our Facebook and Youtube pages. We will also be sharing more information about the newly announced, Galilee Awakening V : Come to the Table - The Invitation Broadcast that will be taking place on May 16 at 19:19 (7:19pm Israel Time). More details to follow. Click Here to hear Gilad share about this special event and how you can become involved.

My friend in the Carmel area, Ronit Bender, is an Israeli who spreads Sonshine whever she goes and this is how she looks at the commission of her life: to spread the love of Yeshua to each one she meets and let them see what having him in your life can look like. It is a way of being towards strangers and even people she has known since her youth in Israel that attract them to her even if they say they are not interested in hearing about Yeshua. There is no separating the Yeshua out of Ronit, little do they know! This month Ronit sent several stories of people she has ministered to as she went about her daily affairs. This is not like in the US where you just invite someone to your church, the believers in Israel are taking their own lives to the streets and it is producing fruit. To learn more, write me for Ronit’s email address. You can also listen to this interview done in 2009 in the UK with Ronit’s husband who went on to the Lord a few years ago.  She writes that a friend sent her the link and “My heart rejoiced to hear Tom’s voice again. I pray it will minister to you. “

Rania Sayegh, the Christian Arab prophetic intercessor who heads the Nazareth House of Prayer and Exploits is also doing a 21-days Days of Prayer & Fasting for the release of an outpouring on the Holy Spirit during Pentecost  (May4-24). One the eve of Passover she had a vision of many angels over the nations including a huge Angel of Awakening over Israel. “I saw a huge angel over Israel who was holding a big trumpet. As he began to blow the trumpet, the sound of the trumpet began to release the winds of the spirit from the 4 corners of the land and a thick layer of dust was removed from the land and the nations. The Lord explained to me that this angel is an angel of awakening. The dust was to remove the spirit of death that is trying to cover the nations and set His people free in this Passover season. It is God’s decree over His people, “Let my people go!”
She writes: Please pray with us | Pray for the salvation of all of Israel! For the Holy Spirit to be poured out on all the people groups of Israel: Jews, Arabs, Druze, Internationals. | For the Angel of Awakening to be sent throughout the four corners of the land and for the covering of the dust  of death to be removed | Pray for the release of the sounds of Arabic worship from the mountains of Israel | Pray for the Arab Deborahs to anchor their hearts and stay secure in God throughout these troubled times.
We give thanks for the gifts that have come in for the new building project and the regular monthly support for HOPE's activities. Continue to pray with us for the finances to cover the final stage of renovation of HOPE's guest and prayer houses.” To donate at PayPal

There is a lot of great news from the Kerem-El, God’s Vineyard congregation, a plant of the HaCarmel congregation (also where Ronit Bender also attends), from being able to get to meet together again In person, to a special Zoom call they just did with people interested in their ministry. This was an innovative way to connect with supporters since travel has been off the table for so long. The Israeli ministries really depend on the donations of believers around the world – they sure cannot possibly raise enough to do all the ministry that God has put in their hearts in Israel. Come on! Think about it!
But my favorite thing is the truly innovative thing they are doing to provide the kind of fathering that every boy needs in their Fatherless Boys Bar Mitzva Trip. “Fathers play a central role in such initiation (as a Bar Mitzva), yet there are three young men In Kerem-El who do not have fathers in their lives to exemplify and teach them what it means to be a man, and specifically a Godly man. Pastor Jonathan took these three young men under his wing to be a father figure to them. As part of this vision, he planned special initiation assignments that the young men needed to accomplish, each led by men from Kerem-El. The assignments included changing a wheel on a car, changing lightbulbs, handling and firing a gun (airsoft), making a bbq and cooking meat, giving CPR and first aid and more. Upon completion of these assignments they all went for a Bar Mitzva trip to Israel's most southern resort city, Eilat, where they snorkeled, did water sports, hiked and much more.
Out of this need and initiative the Lord is birthing a national vision for fatherless children who come of age. We've begun dialoguing with several other ministries in Israel to provide an initiation program for fatherless children and we hope to see this develop further in the coming months. Please keep this initiative in your prayer.” For more news from Kerem-El, you can get monthly prayer letters from the direct by emailing.

Fatherless boys is a crisis issue in the US too. What would happen if this vision for stepping up took off in a big way?

Devils Uprising | Arrows from Zion | 4 29 2021

Ramadan: April 12-May 12 “a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community”
. . . and violent uprising against Israelis

Michael Beener of the City of Life congregation in Sderot, on the border with Gaza, , writes on 4/25: Last night, terrorists fired more than 36 rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip overnight and the rockets damaged several communities. The bombings were the Strip's worst assault in many months. The rocket attack followed days of tensions and clashes in Jerusalem and the West Bank that involved Palestinian and Israeli civilians as well as Israeli security forces [ongoing clashes & rockets] We ask that you join us in prayer, especially for the mental health of the people of the region. We know that the Lord is in control of all things and will keep us standing, our ministry will continue as always bringing help to the needy and hope to the heartbroken. Watch this VIDEO by Michael & see more from the ministry below

It is really a devils uprising which the Iran proxies in Syria also got in on the action last week firing a missile that landed near Israel’s main nuclear weapons facility in Dimona in the Negev. Shani Ferguson writes about hearing what sounded like fireworks, but instead was a missile from Syria that reached into Israel farther than ever before. The devils of Ramadan are stirred up as Israel comes closer and closer to her day of salvation in the name of Yeshua. They cannot stop what God is going to do, but they can rob some of life through lethal missiles before they can come to faith. Please pray.

Prayer for Israel regarding the latest uprisings,
missile strike against Dimona nuclear facility

by Shani Ferguson, Maoz Israel

Our family used to live next to a wedding hall in Jerusalem, and would get to enjoy some fireworks on an almost weekly basis. So, on the occasional evening when I hear popping sounds, my first assumption is usually that it’s fireworks. When I look out the window and don’t see fireworks, my next guess tends towards stun grenades—often used to break up riots. However, this past week, as I was getting ready for bed, I heard an explosion and the thought crossed my mind that it actually sounded like a missile explosion.
Turns out it was. In the morning the news reported many others in Jerusalem also heard the explosion that actually occurred in Israel’s southern desert. Syria had fired a missile on our nuclear site in Dimona where Israel’s nuclear arsenal is rumored to be. It is the farthest a Syrian missile has ever reached. Israel’s defense Patriot missiles were activated but failed to intercept it. Thankfully Syria’s aim was just as bad and it fell in an open field. Still, the event raised concerns such a missile could go so far into Israel and get so close to such a sensitive Israeli military target.

Concerning the latest uprisings: In case you weren’t aware, we’re in the month of Ramadan. It is a month in which Muslims essentially fast and pray all day and eat only after sunset. Even during a good year, you can feel the tension in the air during Ramadan, but several factors are playing into this month and making it be particularly volatile.
The most obvious factor is that this year Ramadan falls during the hot months—and hot and “hangry” (a slang term for the agitated nature of a hungry person) never go well together. Another factor is a recent TikTok trend that consists of young Muslims filming themselves attacking religious Jews. TikTok has done little to ban these videos and they have gone viral—which of course inspires more videos.
Then, of course there are the COVID restrictions that easily frustrate everyone. Just outside one of Jerusalem’s old city gates there is a traditional place where Muslims like to come after their evening prayer. There they sit, chat, drink tea or coffee and smoke nargila (water pipe). Though Israel has been taking steps to reduce restrictions, large gatherings are still not permitted. So this area has been blocked off. This move, of course, is seen through the filter of the “infidel occupiers” who are messing with the Muslim way of life. The mass disturbances began on Thursday, and already by Sunday Israeli authorities removed the barriers from the steps. To Israel, sparking another intifada could easily become more deadly than a fresh COVID outbreak. Most significantly, all this chaos does only good for Hamas as Palestinian elections are less than a month away. And thus, we have had fresh rockets from Gaza.
Father, it is You who allows enemies but  also bring times of peace, according to Your will. For years, young Palestinians have not had role models inspiring them to blossom as a people and reject the cause of annihilating Israel. Such role models exist, but they are often afraid to go public—bring them out into the public eye and protect them.
Give wisdom and favor to the authorities, who are protecting both the Jewish and Arab population in Israel. Protect Israeli soldiers and police from ambushes and setups that are designed to force injuries on innocent civilians.
Riots and uprisings are often about small sparks that spread—we ask that You would soothe the tensions—like water on kindling. There is a peace that only You can give. We ask for it to come in our time. Help Israel form a government that will lead it into Your will.

Concerning the Fellowship of Artists | When we first had the vision to see the restoration of modern-day Levites, we thought of all the practical things we needed to bring the vision to pass. Everything the world knows about worshipping the one true God originated in Israel—and Israel had much more to offer in that arena.
We needed a place where musicians could create, discover, and record fresh worship music. We wanted a place where many projects could be produced simultaneously. We wanted to train kids from a young age in their craft so that when the time came to record the music or lead worship before a congregation, it would be done in the most excellent manner. We wanted musicians to see other musicians as their partners—not their rivals—and thus the “fellowship” part of the vision was just as important as the “artists” part.
We also knew we were taking on a sect of society that is inherently delicate and moody. What we didn’t expect was that in the process of working on worship projects, musicians would experience deep emotional healing. It’s happening so much now, we’ve affectionately dubbed the FoA studio the Rehabilitation Center for Emotionally Damaged Worshippers.  It makes sense since we know how sensitive creative people can be and we know how hard a place Israel is, and still it caught us by surprise that God is taking an active role in healing His people so that they can truly be a light to the nations from a place of strength.

From Jerusalem, Norma Sarvis sends two blog posts about the three Bat Zion Women’s regional gatherings that she and Chaya Mizrachi have organized to do a Covid restriction work-around from their usual one meeting for the believer women to gather together for refreshing. The first is “Take possession”. The second, “Shakings” —“After a year of almost no rockets falling from Gaza, the barrage began again last Friday with over 40 landing in the south. Hours before in the same area, 70 women gathered to worship, felllowship and encourage one another in Messiah.”

Joel Jelski, who is one of the leaders in the Fields of Wheat ministry with founder Eitan Shishkoff and their co-laborers Cody and Liat Archer sends a personal family update that speaks of “the valley of tears” he and wife Teresa have recently gone through...Pray for them, that God will answer the cries of the heart with healing, peace and blessings.  Joel gives a good report on the Katzir Youth Camps as they have finally been able to gather again with the teens…and they are still pressing in to complete the vision of the Fields of Wheat. Since the Jelski’s haven’t been able to travel, they are planning a ZOOM meeting to connect with those interested in their ministry in northern Israel It will be Sat, May 8, 9am Central Time for an update and Q&A time together. Just Sign up HERE and they will send the link a few days before the Zoom meeting.

Jackie Santoro in Jerusalem writes an update Israel Lives! Writing how “Each year, the country attempts to come to terms with and understand an evil that is incomprehensible…. The traumatic horror of the Holocaust is part of the foundation of this nation, part of the culture and personality of its people. Israel must never forget.” But as they move through Memorial Day in honor of their fallen soldiers, into Independence Day, Jackie writes, “Israel is a miraculous testimony of the truth of God as He fulfilled his word for all to see and redeemed the tragic history of his people.”
This article is so full of wisdom, because Jackie also acknowledges, "And yet the determination to stand against anti-Semitism, the perseverance, the will to survive against all odds, in some way also gives strength to the resistance to the Gospel. Yeshua is blamed for the anti-Semitism, it is deep within the culture, deep within the hearts of the people. They can believe anything and it is tolerated- just not "Jesus". Even citizenship is denied to those who are believers in Yeshua. And yet Yeshua IS their Messiah and the Word says that 'all Israel will be saved'…. we believe that with the same passion that the majority exhibits now against Yeshua, one day we will be a nation who believes with that same intensity that He is their God and Messiah!"

Chuck Cohen of Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem writes about the Torah portion last Shabbat Leviticus 16 giving the
instructions for the high priest on Yom Kippur – the Day of Atonement in Friday Prayer Points  4/23/2021. Also his prayer point for the “Salvation for Muslims over Ramadan” is a critical prayer to make for Israel. God wants to redeem their enemies too.

Our friends at Awake Israel Ministries in Rishon le Zion, Shlomy and Miriam Abramov, send a report of a recent day trip they made to bring some of the elderly they minister to each week for a visit to the Wall in Jerusalem. I happened to see them comment on it on Facebook and with all the clashes going on during Ramadan was worried about them. Miriam wrote, “It did cross my mind however that due to the riots all week there was a clamp down on the area. Many others would not come there. We went in faith. Our little bus went around Shiloh and the neighborhoods of Silwan and David’s city. It was as I have not seen it before. The streets were silent and peaceful.” They were met at the Wall by the young IDF soldiers posted there to keep the peace, and Miriam writes, “They were so kind to our elderly” as they posed for photos with them. Miriam writes, “Thank you for your prayers for our ministry of giving to the needy and of evangelism —we do not do both at the same time or place, because that is against Israeli law. Our ministry is vast and does several things. If you are in the Holy Land please come and join us for a day sharing the good news to Israel.”

Happy news report from LuAnne Sayag at HaCarmel congregation about their newest granddaughter, Ori Anne.  Their daughter related to them how the name came: she went to pick up the baby and cooed, just like any mother would, "Kumi (“get up”), Ori (“shine”)!” Of course, these same words are found in the beginning of Isaiah 60. LuAnne writes, “It is as if God is saying, "Kumi, ori!" "Arise, shine!" It's time for us to shake off this slumber and shine with the glory of God.” A wonderful message after being held back the past year with worldwide Covid restrictions. The ministry also sends prayer requests for the govt leadership, the uprisings & missile & rocket fire against Israel during Ramadan “It is God’s mercy that no one has been killed or seriously hurt. Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and God’s mercy on the inhabitants of this Land.” And they send this blessing, please watch and listen to Karen Davis has just released a new lyric video of her song “Be Still” based on Psalm 46.

The elders at Hasdey Yeshua congregation in Arad send a video testimony of Holocaust survivor Rose Price that will inspire you. They also report good news on being able to meet again as a congregation in person in the park (please pray for them to find a facility to house their congregation). A young Bedouin couple who were having trouble conceiving was prayed for each time by Sara, the minister to the Bedouin’s —they finally became pregnant and attribute it to Sara’s prayers. Pray God continue to draw them to faith. They have a praise report in that they were able to negotiate a reasonable contract to be able to resume their humanitarian distribution from the warehouse they were using. They ask prayers for their Mayor who is friendly toward them, and for the salvation of the ultra-orthodox who “lead a very sad life, thinking they’re righteous but in reality living far from the God”

Tikkun Global reports on the “police battle angry Arabs over access to the Temple Mount and Jewish extremists (a tiny percentage of Israelis) attacking the Arabs.” Plus the rocket fire from Gaza. “May God take away the anger and reveal Yeshua to the Muslim masses. May He touch these extremist Israeli youth. We need a visitation!” To dates to make note of for ONLINE CONFERENCES: first, is starting Friday April 30-May 1 with an International Prayer Conference with Asher Intrater (he will minister Sat at 6:45pm Israel time), Tom Hess, Heidi Baker, Ana Paula Valadão, Sid Roth, and Boris Grisenko. Register online for free. THEN the Shavuot/Pentecost May 17 event with David Demian & Asher Interater 3pm Israel time/8am EST on Revive Israel’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

40 Days to Pentecost to Pray for Israel’s Salvation | Arrows from Zion 4 22 2021

A Christian-called 40-day Fast & Prayer for the Salvation of Israel
We are stepping into the
Restoration of the fallen pillars of relationship
between the churches in the nations and
the body of believers in Israel
which the apostle
Paul established in the first century.

40 Days to Shavuot/Pentecost
to Fast & Pray for Israel’s Salvation

by Donna Diorio

I am very excited about what Lou Engle is doing, and I think it is going to have a huge impact on especially younger Christians (which there really is a dearth of younger Christians supporting Israel). Not to damper what Lou Engle is doing - it is God-inspired – but as significant as I believe this is, Engle is standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before him, like Mike Bickle who has been a lone ranger in the prophetic circles for 20+ years speaking for and supporting the Israeli ministries, as has been Chuck Pierce, or ‘Papa’ Don Finto (as the Israeli ministry leaders call him) — Derek Prince, Francis and Edith Schaffer, David Wilkerson, Jane Hansen Hoyt—there are so many that have brought us to this point.
That is not even touching the courageous Israeli believer ministries who have soldiered on in the Israeli harvest suffering lack and resources but still going from 20-something believers in 1948 in Israel to 15-20,000 today…or the foundation that has been laid in Israel over many years by prayer and fasting for this very thing to break open.  I remember for many years of joining in with the Revive Israel online broadcasts of prayer and fasting vigils on Shavuot/Pentecost. The Revive vision was always to establish a place of prayer in Jerusalem where the nations could join in with Israelis in Jerusalem to pray for another Acts 2 outpouring of the Holy Spirit — an outpouring that would spill out from Jerusalem into all the nations.
The beginning years online participation was relatively small, there were Pentecost events taking place in Jerusalem at the same time that were much bigger, but not really connecting with the body of believers in Israel. Each year the online participation increased, then Revive Israel was joined by intercessory network of Egyptian Christian David Demian of Watchmen for the Nations. This brought a significant number of new international Christians praying together on Pentecost.
These are foundations that were laid, the groundwork for what we see now, as we see Lou Engle also joining in rallying American spiritual leadership to awaken to God's plan for restoration of Israel spiritually. That will lead to a new depth of comprehending the one new man relationship between the Church and the Body of Messiah in Israel. When this thing breaks open - and I'm sure Lou Engle is playing an integral part in that happening - it is going to rock the harvest in Israel and in the nations.

Here are some of Lou Engle's remarks from his Day 6 Yeshua Fast video, picking up at the 2:10 mark: “Could we be moving into an Upper Room reality? So amazing to me! Asher Intrater, my friend in Israel, an apostolic Messianic leader, called me about this fast, and with kindness and humility entreated me. 'Lou, what if we hold this fast not just March 1st through April 9th like we've done historically, but let's do it from the 14th of April to May 23rd which is actually Pentecost Sunday.' He said, 'I just have this sense this year if we do it on the Jewish holidays, the times that Yeshua has actually set, where He says, "I will visit you,' I think something may happen beyond what we can think or imagine.'
I just felt like, ‘Yes, I am going to listen to my brother Asher.’ So we've said this, What if these 40 days is to this Upper Room that Nava and I were together with the wind blowing? In the dream we were sitting across from one another at a table talking about what God is saying and in the dream she realizes she is about ready to wake up out of the dream but she has a word to deliver me. Urgently she thinks, I've got to get it to him before I wake up.
Three times she says this: 'You cannot see revival in America unless you first of all pray for the salvation of the Jews.' Again she said, 'You cannot see revival in America unless you first of all pray for the salvation of Israel.' The third time she says the same thing and then she wakes up out of the dream.
What's stunning to me about Nava's dream is she represents the Jewish people. She knows she is about ready to awaken but before she can awaken she needs to deliver this message for the Ruth gentile church to pray for the salvation of Israel. I am convinced in my heart when the church begins to pray for the salvation of Israel, the awakening of the Jewish people to Yeshua, their bridegroom God, it will take place.
This dream has shocked me. It just keeps pursuing me and I began to ponder, Is God shifting our heartbeats so that when we turn our prayers to Israel, those who bless Israel are blessed, those that pray for the peace of Jerusalem find their own peace, those who pray for the harvest of the Jewish peoples will receive their own harvest?
Recently while I was flying to speak with The Send leaders in that same meeting of Christie Brent's prophetic word, the Lord spoke to me out of the book of Ruth . . . . ‘If you will glean in Boaz's field, you'll reap the full blessing of the harvest in the nations of the earth. I'm just saying brothers and sister, just test this. It's not like I believe that there's not going to be revival in other places of the earth but I'm wondering, is God giving us a mega shift for the fullness of that blessing? Like in Romans chapter 11:12-15 when the Jewish people come in it will be like life from the dead to the gentile — global outpourings, global harvests. This … dream gave me a paradigm shift in my own heart. Literally for these 40 days I am praying for the salvation of the Jews. I am believing it will a tipping point. You see one thought from God — if obeyed — could literally shift everything.
Maybe you are thinking, Oh, I don't know about all this. What if we simply opened our heart, 'God, I want to feel your heart for the Jewish people. I want to feel your heart like Jesus felt when He was first with His disciples, those apostles, and going to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. His heart was moved with compassion when he saw the Jewish people broken to pieces, harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd.

On Day 7 Engle tells how he didn't 'get it' in 2009 when he had a lot of exposure to the message of the restoration of Israel spiritually before the mass international revivals. He said, "It is a journey....I go back to another key point in my awakening concerning Israel and I didn't get it back there in 2009. In 2009 I was living in Kansas City with my family, with Mike Bickel and the House of Prayer. Mike was teaching eschatology; Mike was teaching about Israel — I'm sorry, Mike, but it seems like a lot of this I just didn't get because my eyes and all my focus was revival in America awakening, the end of abortion and those things are still very, very real to me. But I feel that I am now in a season of awakening, and I think actually the Lord waited for this moment to awaken me. Because it is time, I believe for a worldwide prayer movement to take place for Israel. “

Donna: Below are links to theYeshua Fast Engle’s daily encouraging talk on YouTube so far. Probably most of my subscribers are farther along in the learning curve of understanding our relationship of supporters of the Israeli ministries in their mandate to bring the Good News to their fellow countrymen, but I think these videos are valuable for us to hear anyway. One for the sake of hearing what Lou Engle’s journey has been coming to this place, and also to see where he is in the learning curve of what God is doing here. These videos have been a great encouragement to me to listen to, and I think they will be for you. You might also want to share them with your friends who hold Lou Engle in high esteem.  I am also listening to these daily now and have officially joined their fast and prayer because I do believe it is an important tipping point to bring so many more Christians into right alignment with the Body of Messiah in Israel.
I believe this is going to have a truly significant spiritual impact and is truly a restoration of the fallen pillars of relationship between the churches in the nations and the body of believers in Israel from that which the apostle Paul established in the first century.

Lou Engle YESHUA FAST

| Join US. We start the 40-day Fast next week! April 14th – May 23rd
The Yeshua Fast was birthed out of a threefold cord revelation:
1 - A global spiritual Aliyah where the gentile Ruth church turns her heart affections and covenant love to Yeshua, Israel, and the Jewish people. Ruth 1:16,17
2 - A global call for prayer for the salvation of Israel as a tipping point for worldwide harvest. Romans 11:12-15
3 - A growing expectation for an unveiling of the Messiah to the Jewish peoples and a new Pentecost from Jerusalem to the nations. Isaiah 44:1-5, Ez 36:26

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

I begin this week with Asher Intrater’s article on Second Pentecost because it is foundational to the article above in the prayer and fasting before Pentecost that Lou Engle is leading. As I wrote above, I have been participating in the Shavuot prayer online events that Asher has been holding for many years.
I also believe that prophetic things that happen once in the Bible, are likely to happen again – like a second outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem, that will come as the believers from nations join in “Upper Room” prayer seeking God for what Yeshua promised His disciples in the first century. See Asher’s point of the 2-part prophecy from Joel 2:32-3:2: the first part was cited by Peter in Acts, “This is that….” But the second part was not citied and describes the conditions for the fulfillment of the second half of the prophecy—a “second Pentecost” that will affect Jerusalem and the whole world.  Joel 2:32 – 3:2 …because in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be a remnant.

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center sent a Holocaust memorial link to the testimonies of Holocaust survivors. He writes truly that the Holocaust was “One of the greatest atrocities scarring the face of human history.” Chaim wrote, “Join us as we hear some heart wrenching stories of heroes that fought to defend the defenseless, and against all odds, survive to see prophecies in the Bible fulfilled.” Please consider a gift to help the work of the Aliyah Return Center, please click here. Funds are incredibly tight within the ministries of Israel. They need our help.

The personal Restoration from Zion ministry newsletter of Daniel & Patty Juster and Ben & Lorena Juster  features an article by Patty, “What is Wisdom.” She writes about how each “seed” we plant had a DNA that will cause us to reap what we sow. “Wisdom is knowing what kind of plant or fruit our seed will produce.”  She also notes that “We were never intended to bear the weight of making our decisions independently” from God.  They also write about the upcoming US tour for Dan & Patty that begins in May, asking prayers over all the travels and details; and for Ben’s work in Tikkun America as he has been seeing major churches awakening to the connection between international Christians and the body of Messiah in Israel. There are signs of an awakening Church popping up all over – and these are surely seeds that the Tikkun ministries have been planting for decades.

Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher congregation in Acco writes about “Our Mothers” and relates the testimony of a young mother with 2 daughters in Israel “divorced after a decade of marriage in the shadow of severe economic, mental and physical violence.” She relates her journey recovery of “trust in human beings” of her and her daughters, and how she started to dream of a better future for them pursuing academic studies—and all the help she received along the way to achieving her degree and her subsequent career in “an important urban project that helps families in the cycle of poverty.”  Inspired by this woman’s testimony and an ask for help by the Acco Social Services for their congregation to get involved with a new program to help 10 women to afford 3-year bachelor’s  programs, Guy is asking for prayers and financial commitments to help them, help out in this program. When Israeli municipalities know they can turn to Messianic congregations for help in all manner of humanitarian projects, this is trust that is being built for those Israeli Jews who call upon the Name of Yeshua. That is 10 times better than Christian funds coming from people who they will never lay eyes on, never see walking out the faith in Yeshua that the Messianic Jews of Israel are walking out daily. Do you want to plant seed in Israel toward humanitarian funds? Contact Harvest of Asher

Israel has evangelists, what they need is the support funding for the evangelists that they have. That is what Israel Pochtar of the Beit Hallel congregation in Ashdod is pointing out in this article about Chaim and Miriam's Story—Fishers of Men as he says also, The Revival has Begun!  "Both Miriam and Chaim are so incredibly passionate about people and reaching the lost, that it’s just amazing to see people get healed and saved through them everywhere they go,” Israel writes.” These are the type of workers we need in the fields of Israel." Also watch Israel’s devotionalThe desert and the parched land will be glad. PLUS Youth Discipleship Camp during Shavuot | Equipping the Pastors, Evangelists and Leaders of tomorrow. God sees potential where man sees inexperience. Youth are an investment worth making.

More on the purposeful equipping youth towards spiritual leadership in Israel’s present and future, this Fields of Wheat post on Facebook wrote about how great it was to have a post-covid Katzir youth gathering after so long, and how they are rejoicing that the govt has now expanded the number of people who can meet in one place from 50 to 100. “We are hoping to get back to full activity - hopefully in the form of camps - in the coming months.” This is a decades old youth camps ministry headed by Eitan Shishkoff, and where kids from the camp have returned as young adults to be ministers and counselors in the camps – including Joel Jelski, who along with Eitan, Cody and Liat Archer are the leaders in the Fields of Wheat ministry. The motto of the ministry is “Equipping for the Harvest.” Ever on the minds of Israeli ministries.

From two editions of the Tikkun Global prayer and newsletter, Asher Intrater writes about the latest round of govt elections, Corona closures ending and: “At the same time, we are seeing an openness in local evangelism and discipleship, as well as global alignment. It's like a rocket ship beginning to take off. It seems we are moving quickly into an end times' scenario, affecting both Israel and the nations.” Also advising to be discerning and not be deceived because the spirit of deception is so great in these days: “This is a time to stay close to the Lord and to one another. Those are His two great commandments to us: to love God and to love one another. Let's do it. “ In the second edition, Ron Cantor writes Because You Asked...My Opinion on the Vaccine–It's Romans 14, Not 13. They share the Israel’s Restoration April Edition and Dan Juster’s article Near Death Experiences: Resurrections

Messiah’s Mandate and Shelanu TV, Ron Cantor sends two exciting medical breakthroughs from Israel in his news email, one breakthrough in Brain Cancer that also might have application to alleviate pain of Sickle Cell Anemia, the other a readily available Kefir Yougurt Smoothie that could calm the “cytokine storm” that has killed many Covid patients through its impressive antibacterial and anti-inflammatory attributes. (It will be a long time in the process of being verified, but if Covid comes around our house, I’m going to Walmart to stock up on Kefir smoothies!)

Also from Cantor, on Shelanu TV, they are back in the studio working on new program content for Shelanu TV in Hebrew, a program similar to TED talks on controversial topics, another with a couple who will host experts as they present Yeshua as a positive figure in the past, present, and future: a Bible-based program by an Ethiopian, native born Israeli evangelist; a program to "clean" the name of Yeshua in Israel-showing His true name Yeshua means Salvation!, and a re-presentation in Hebrew of Dr. Michael Brown’s answering Jewish objections to Jesus. And more. Consider a gift to Shelanu TV. It cannot be understated that online resources are MUCH more effective at reaching people with the Gospel than you are used to in America and other nations. Probably a lot has to do with the privacy that online resources afford the seeker in initial stages.

Michael and Dina Beener are also working with the Ethiopian Jewish immigrant community in Sderot on the border with Gaza.  There is a new arrival of Ethiopian Jews to Sderot and the City of Life ministry team has begun working with them “alleviating the suffering of these new immigrants as they take their first steps in the dreamed land of their ancestors, Israel.”  You are invited to take a role in this, as they write, “Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you.”  They also write about the “first deaf-mute meeting took place in our congregation, where a group of happy deaf mute people, some of them non-believers, enjoyed a special meeting full of teaching, encouragement, understanding and above all the Holy Spirit, all in sign language and a integrated environment.” See more about their ministry at the City of Life website.

Avner Boskey of Final Frontier Ministries and David’s Tent in Beer Sheva has a new article Biblical foundations and Iran. “A deadly serious cat-and-mouse game has been going on in the Middle East for some time now between Iran and its proxies on the one hand, and Israel and the U.S.A. on the other”

From Kobi & Shani Ferguson of Maoz Ministries, the weekly prayer points include the topics of the mandate that was given to Netanyahu to form a government, and a terrible story about an IDF soldier suffering PTSD, who set himself on fire recently unable to get over survivor guilt after his commander had been brutally killed in front of him in the 2014 Gaza War. We must pray for these young people who protect Israel – many only 19 and 20 years old up against murderous terrorist mindsets. The young man, Itzik is in a critical condition burn unit —pray for his restoration.  ALSO the Feruguson family will be traveling and ministering in the US from June 16 to Aug 16. Pray for all aspects of the travel, ministry, Divine connections as they bring the word of Lord forth from Zion.
