From anti-God Unity to Unity in God | Arrows from Zion 7 21 2021

Thank you for donating to my ministry if it is a blessing to you.
"The Lord is for me among those who help me." Psalm 118:7

This morning I saw a very young and delighted father with the tiniest 1 week old baby girl; God drawing my eyes to the babies fathering babies.  Later in the afternoon while preparing Arrows for this week I saw a video by Joel Jelski who is the director of the Katzir Youth Camps in Israel. Katzir means Harvest.

What a moving testimony as Joel tells of a dream he had when he was only about 20, of finding a baby abandoned in a trash bin, crying its heart out—crying out for a father. The dream was surely spiritual and would lead Joel into the ministries he has labored in - the Israeli pro-life ministry and most recently becoming Katzir's director. The camps, which have been led for around 2 decades by Eitan Shishkoff, an Israeli minister widely known for his fatherly heart.

One thing about the ministries in Israel that Joel chose to labor in is that they go much deeper than their counterparts in the USA. For instance, the pregnant women in Israel's Messianic Pro-Life movement are really taken under deeper spiritual care and not just the financial aid they receive over the first year of the baby's life. It is not just about talking them into no abortion, which is good, but that is just where the ministry of Yeshua begins. They get emotional and financial help they will need to have a baby, not just to decide not to abort.  It’s a huge difference.

I see how this dream that God gave Joel mapped out his life's work from a very young age. Many children are crying out for spiritual fathering. The Katzir Youth Camp begins Friday July 25-29. It's not just keeping kids in activities over the summer. It is a time where spiritual ministers are pouring their fatherly love into young people, expressing Abba’s love and building them up for their own journey in the faith.  Please be praying for the Katzir camp and for all the summer camps going on in Israel.

From anti-God Unity to Unity in God
by Chuck Cohen, Intercessors for Israel Jerusalem

PHOTO: The painting by Hendrick van Cleve, The Building of the Tower of Babel, surely is a reminder that man’s best anti-God plans cannot prevail over God’s own plans to redeem mankind.

Just seeing Chuck Cohen’s statement below reminds me how even the exile of the Jews from Israel —a judgment that opened the Door of salvation to the nations —will become God’s unifying tool as He continues to bring Jews in all the nations back to Israel.
“He used what was at first a judgment – various languages to prevent anti-God unity – into His tool to make of the many one Body." (Genesis 11 to Acts 2)
It is quite an astounding thought when we see all the disunity among us, but knowing that God has seen the end from the beginning, like the tower of Babel, our disunity does not stand a chance against the mighty God and His plan to make of us in reality “one new man.”

An excerpt from Chuck’s Watchmen for Israel monthly personal ministry letter:  Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898) said, "Politics is the art of the possible…A statesman…must wait until he hears the steps of God sounding through events; then leap up and grasp the hem of His garment."

If we substitute a few key words, we get a great definition of intercession: Intercession is the art of the possible. An intercessor waits until he hears the steps of God sounding through events and then leaps up and grasps the hem of His garment – and is then led in those prayers that are in line with God's will (Amos 3:7).

Babel confusion to Shavuot unity | Men built the tower of Babel to avoid being spread out, because they wanted to live in unity, and through unity, to reach God's throne. God forbade this from His fallen creatures; He confounded their language, and scattered them across the earth.

On the first Shavuot [Pentecost] after Yeshua's resurrection, the Holy Spirit fell on 120 Messianic Jews who were worshipping Messiah in God's house in Jerusalem. God used their babel of languages – tongues – to tell of His wonderful works to the Jews from many different nations, adding another 3,000 Jews to the newly created Body of Messiah.

He used what was at first a judgment –
various languages to prevent anti-God unity
 – into His tool to make of the many one Body

(Rom. 12:5).

In Messiah, even with our various opinions, we are one. Outside of Messiah there is no relationship with God, no covenants, no promises, no hope (Eph. 2:12), nothing but final destruction. We have the answer the world's existential question – which is Messiah and Him crucified – yet the world has turned so far from its Creator that it no longer knows how to ask the right question.

Signs of the times | Intercessors for Israel received a question from a brother who was "intrigued" by Chuck's statement in a Friday Prayer Alert that while we may not be sure of what God is doing at this exact time in history, we do see Him setting the stage for the return of His Son. He asked what we saw as "clear signs". Chuck thanked him for mentioning "clear signs" because believers at times look for signs that occur in Scripture only once, or signs that are not clearly described, and then people have to guess whether this or that event is this or that "sign".

Yet here are some clear signs in the world today:

The good news of Messiah Yeshua has gone from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth and today is returning from the ends of the earth to Zion (Matt. 24:14; Acts 1:7-8).

Since 1885, the scattered Jews are being regathered from the ends of the earth in significant numbers (Isa. 43:5-7; Jer. 31:10).

As Ezekiel 37:10 describes, out of the graves of the Holocaust, God is making out of Israel an exceedingly great army – the IDF (Isa. 41:14-16: Mic. 4:11-13).

As seen in the recent Gaza war, Jerusalem is still the main issue for Islam and the West, with no one except Jewish and Christian Zionists wanting Israel to possess it (Zech. 12:2-3; 14:1-4).

Gentile Christians are helping in Israel's restoration (Isa. 40:1-2; 49:22; 60:1-11; Jer. 31:6-7).

Israeli Jews are being saved and the Israeli Body is growing. That is important as Yeshua said that He would not return until He hears from Jerusalem, His chosen city, the proclamation, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of YHWH!" (Matt. 23:39).

Exactly when He will come is anyone's guess, but the greatest sign is that all these signs are happening! Come, Lord Yeshua! (Rev. 22:17-21)

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Israel Pochtar writes about Supporting Aliyah and Bible Prophecy. Also something of great importance to Israeli ministries: they need financial help for Israeli evangelists on their outreach staffs. Israel writes about the Beit Hallel Evangelist Team Chaim & Miriam, “They have literally laid down everything for the upward caling in Jesus.”  Here is a report on the Beit Hallel Women's Secrets Conference – “equipping women should be very high on our priority list.” Enjoy this video and article as  Pastor Israel visits the Druze Communities in the North. Plus their Back-to-School Project, Summer for God Youth Project and a praise report and thank you for all those who helped to “purchase and install a brand-new air-conditioning system in our main auditorium. “ You can partner  with this ministry in a specific project or in the overall ministry they are bringing to their people for the sake of the Gospel of Yeshua.

David and Josie Silver of Out of Zion do a Prayer for Israel Zoom meeting every Tuesday 9 pm Israel time. Go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82351582826 Write them for the PassCode david@outofzion.org  You can listen to David’s Midweek Update Video for  July 13, 2021 and for July 20, 2021 and visit the website for also read our teachings on the new Out of Zion website and watch our VIDEOS.  This ministry has been hampered by this long stretch of Covid restrictions from their usual international travel schedule bringing Christians understanding about their biblical relationship to Israel. So please avail yourself of the Zoom and YouTube meetings and consider becoming a support partner . Your help would make a great difference at this time.

From Sderot Michael and Dina Beener of the City of Life congregation continue helping the needy and traumatized people in the Israeli city closest to Gaza terror rockets. This week they are featuring the walkers they were able to distribute to the elderly, many of them Holocaust survivors, who have difficulties walking due to old age or medical problems: Helping The Elderly To Walk Again. They have a great many humanitarian aid projects for the needy in Sderot, and also a Messianic congregation that is speaking life over the people Hamas calls the city of the dead. Their work would not be possible without the help of partners from the nations.

A super report from Ron Cantor on what all is going on at ShelanuTV – they are bearing fruit by sending the Gospel to Israelis in the Hebrew language.  Watch this VIDEO. Ron notes they are producing 8 different programs for a total of 115 episodes in the last 8 months. Each month they are reaching approximately 250,000 people in Israel online – and reached a quarter of a million people in June alone! Currently ShelanuTV is receiving 30 requests a month for books about the faith, including the New Testament which is not available in stores in Israel.  What an excellent way to seed into the Gospel of the kingdom in the land of Israel.   Ron writes, “We know that the people of Israel have suffered so much at the hands of 'so-called' Christians over the years, turning them off to the idea of Yeshua being the Messiah, but as this God-injected content is being released, we are weakening the walls of disbelief and bias, as cracks are forming, and the light of the truth is seeping through and reaching the hearts of the people. We are going to see a change in Israel as people turn towards the light of the life of Yeshua and are saved!” There is way more in this good report than I can share in Arrows but go learn more at ShelanuTV

From Tikkun Global, Asher Intrater writes that they’re happy to be able to meet again after a whole year in their Jerusalem congregation, Ahavat Yeshua. Asher writes about how they have encountered young and old people around the world disillusioned with their congregations of all forms. He writes, “The Corona year has caused us to rethink how we meet. There is a movement toward smaller groups living in proximity and toward wider groups meeting internationally on line. Different settings have different advantages and disadvantages. As followers of Yeshua, we are called to join ourselves in fellowship (koinonia) as part of a congregation (kehila). God loves His family. Don't just complain about others. God is our Father; we are His children. Sometimes we act dysfunctionally, but we are still family. Yeshua is building His church (ekklesia) – Matthew 16:18. We are part of this great endeavor. If nothing else, find a few other families, and start meeting together. Wherever two or three are assembled (synago) in His name, Yeshua will be present – Matthew 18:20.”  Excellent thoughts in my view.  He also writes, “Yeshua sees us as His "beautiful bride." We are in the process of getting ready. We are not ready yet. But we will be – Revelation 19:7. I don't think He likes people speaking evil all the time about His bride. “
Also from Tikkun, download the PDF for the July edition for the Israel's Restoration magazine and read Return to Zion’s Leon Mazin writing, "I am quite excited..."  . Here is how you can partner with Tikkun Global Messianic Family which is dedicated to the restoration of the Church and Israel.

Enjoy Carolyn Hyde’s Music VIDEO The Latter Rain. She writes in their HeartofG-d.org ministry letter, “Today G-d's Spirit is being poured out in ways we couldn't imagine. Hearts are being softened and scales are coming off their eyes. The great harvest is beginning here in Israel. The rains are coming. We remember how a few years ago we were thrilled to hear that 24,000 Israelis saw our outreach videos over a three month period, but now over 45,000 are viewing our videos daily! Please pray for divine protection, inspiration and more laborers in the harvest field for these young men as they respond to local seekers and make new videos that proclaim Yeshua, the Holy One of Israel!” She and husband Richard also write about exciting things happening on ALTAR OF PRAYER on the streets! They invite “Please join us every Wednesday from 3-6PM Israeli time -Click here to register then enter here.” Carolyn and Richard will soon be touring in the US, here’s their schedule.

From Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv: A Surprising Phone Call | A couple weeks ago, Victoria, our office manager, received an interesting call. She actually wasn't supposed to be in the office when the call came in asking, “Is this a Christian church?” They learned more: “It turns out that M. was working construction in the US when he fell from a building, suffering traumatic brain injury. He was in a coma, declared brain damaged when he woke up, and then put in a nursing home. There in the nursing home, M. had a revelation of Yeshua as the Messiah and says, ‘Yeshua healed me!’ He improved so much that he was able to call his family and ask them to come get him out of the nursing home.” But that is not where the extraordinary events end! Read more online click title.  You can also read about The 9th of Av, a solemn day of mourning and fasting for the Jewish world.

It has been a time of Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s in the Kiryat Yam Tents of Mercy congregation led by Avi and Hannah Tekel —including for their own eldest son. “As a congregation, we are excited to prepare to celebrate two more bar mitzvas. These occasions are so meaningful to us as they encompass in them all the vision and hope we have in God. They are the legacy of our children expressed in the beautiful harmony of our ancient ancestral Jewish faith linked with the faith in Messiah Yeshua and His New Covenant.” But in other news, their Network Camp for children from at least 6-7 congregations has had to be cancelled because of Covid travel restrictions. “The children are heartbroken, as are we. To miss this amazing experience two summers in a row is a big blow…. We cannot make up for the loss of not having the camp, but we are planning a series of fun days to provide some of the same elements - physical recreation and spiritual inspiration - for our children before the school year begins. We are also in the process of revamping aspects of our weekly children’s ministry to accommodate the changing times and seasons.” Otherwise, they are already looking forward in preparation for the Fall outreaches – back to school (supplies for needy families and immigrants) and the Fall Feasts. “This September we will reach 900 families with a generous bag of holiday foods.”

In the US we’ve heard barely a peep on the news about the South Africa in Crisis but thanks to Lauren, Haney, and Irene at Revive Israel, here is a background on what is really happening creating the brutal violence and fear. Also from Revive Israel this video teaching with Asher on how Complaints are like spiritual snakes: Don't Complain. The weekly Praise, Prophecy, Prayer, and Preaching from Revive’s team  Global Broadcast fearures a message from Ariel Blumenthal. Avi and Chaya Mizrach have the Adonai Roi congregation in Tel Aviv and the Dugit Messianic Outreach Center.  They write a sobering thought for many of us, “Israel is a small country by most measurements. But for some, it’s hopelessly large. Every day at our Distribution Center in Tel Aviv we serve many needy families too poverty stricken to afford food and basic household items.  Jerusalem is right in our “backyard”—pending traffic, it is a little over an hour’s drive from us. Despite living in Israel, many of these precious people may never have the financial means to travel to Jerusalem to see and experience the most holy and meaningful city in the world. … for the poorest of the poor in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem might as well be on the other side of the world. This is heartbreaking but is also a beautiful opportunity to share the love of God with them. So, we invite these singles and families to join us on a day trip to Jerusalem. We pick them up in a bus. Their guide is a Jewish believer in Yeshua. They get to see the city and visit the holy sites while hearing the stories of what happened there from both Old and New Testament scriptures. And at the end of the tour we share the gospel with them, and they respond! Then we take them to a nice meal in Jerusalem, and we bring them home.” Do you want to be a part of this beautiful opportunity?

Leon Mazin and the Return to Zion congregation in Haifa are intensely interested in instilling music in the children of the congregation. You may or may not know that most Jews are quite enthusiastic about classical music. Leon writes “about two students who are learning at our Music and Art School called Keshet Tzlilim – Rainbow of Sounds.” It is a wonderful story of two young Israelis whose grandmother recognized their musical talent and made her business to get them in the congregation’s music program. Leon writes “Such aspiration towards creativity and art at an advanced age is admirable and an example for all kids at our Music and Art School. Since these talented children do not have parents who are taking care of their development and future, let us take on this challenge together! Your prayers and a gift of $150 monthly will enable one child to continue to advance with their talents towards a bright future in Israel.”

Howard Bass in the Negev town of Beer Sheva and Yeshua’s Inheritance congregation writes about the 9th of Av: “For me, and I think for other Messianic believers, it is not a day of mourning for the past temples that God Himself saw to it that they were destroyed because of the sins of His people.  He even asks them in Zechariah if they were actually mourning on His behalf, or simply sorry that their worship center was no more.  The faith of Judaism is that there must be another temple, but there is much disagreement about when, and even exactly where, that should be.  The present State of Israel is the first time that a worship center for sacrifices was not constructed in the history of the people in their own land.  The worship that they will [fairly] soon restore may or may not be in a formal structure, but, whether so or not, it is not for born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ/Yeshua the Messiah, to participate in -- unless it is to evangelize the unbelievers there. “  He asks prayer for the salvation of the still partially blinded Jewish people, and for Christians to guard against all deception with respect to our worship of God.”
In other congregational news he asks prayers for those children taking part in camps and high school graduates preparing for the mandatory IDF service. “Our son, Tal, and his wife, Eden, will be among the instructors at this very important preparation 'boot camp' for these young people.  All of these young persons have grown up in households of faith, and in congregations in Israel.  They are strongly tested during this very stressful period of their life whether they are in the faith, and to make critical decisions that reflect the reality.  Sadly, a significant proportion fall away during these 2-3 years of active military duty.” Pray for this to be the years that falling away proportion will drop to zero, and instead see significant outreach of these young believers among their IDF peers. PLUS another grandchild is on the way, as Rotem is expecting a fifth child before the end of the month. Howard’s closing thought: “God is faithful to His promises regarding Israel, even as many Jews and Christians lose their ways.  He is testing our commitment to Him for His holy name's sake.”

We have great photos and a report from Cody and Liat Archer of Fields of Wheat as their fourth child, Eden was recently dedicated. They also asked prayers for the Katzir Camp writing, “When God began speaking to us about leaving the Jerusalem area and moving to the Golan Heights to serve under Eitan Shishkoff in Fields of Wheat, we sensed that we were to continue investing into the next generation as a primary focus. Over twenty years ago Eitan founded a national youth camp called 'Katzir,' which means harvest. This camp happens three times a year and serves about 90-120 youth from all over Israel.  As a teenager Liat was personally touched by God in one of these camps and we both have served as leaders in a past camp.” They also shared the video of Joel Jelski featured at the beginning of this Arrows issue, writing, “Joel is a beloved teammate we work closely with every week in Fields of Wheat.” The camp starts Friday July 25-29 and they write, “We really could use your prayer support during the camp. Pray that each of these young men and women – the future of Israel – will encounter the Living God in a life-changing way. And for us as we are serving them, that we would be filled with strength, wisdom, grace, over-flowing love, and sensitivity to the Spirit. Big hugs and always appreciating you.”

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for Hallel Goldman, daughter of Yariv Goldman, Hallel ministers to young people coming out of an Orthodox life. Hallel appears to have some kind of heart infection. Pray for her healing |  Ronit Bender whose heart arrhythmia sent her to ER! She is home now with new meds but still needs our prayers | Pray for Carolyn Hyde whose left hand is so pained she can no longer play guitar and it is also sometimes painful to play piano | the Silvers: David's knees and Josie's back pain | Rachel Netanel  is still recovering from a broken ankle. She asks for healing & for the pain to subside. Her ankles were weak already, so the process is slow and painful| A prayer request for Naomi, for a dear family that is a part of Israel Pochtar's pastoral team, who was diagnosed with colon cancer. "Despite what this battle entails, we are confident in God’s unfailing Word and promises." Read in her own words| Please continue to pray for Jacob Damkani for the LORD's mercies over Jacob and his dear wife, Elisheva | Dov Bikas – I have been very tired these days: probably as a result of a combination of factors: my age, stress of the days of running to the bomb shelter, work load in the ministry, etc. Olga is getting better slowly, but still has a long way before her, so please keep praying.

Israel Halting Immigration?! | Arrows from Zion | 7 14 2021

Thank you for donating to my ministry if it is a blessing to you.
"The Lord is for me among those who help me." Psalm 118:7

Many immigrants, especially those Jews fleeing places with rising anti-Semitism and violent persecution, as soon as they disembark the plane in Israel, bow to kiss the ground.
It is the ultimate sign of the relief they experience of finally being safe in the Jewish State.
So then,

The question sounds absurd and unthinkable. After all, the whole reason for the existence of Israel was to be a sure and safe refuge, a place where Jews could live without fear of eventually being banished or exiled from their home. It was intended to offer a secure alternative for both religious and non-religious Jews – a welcoming embrace and a better way of life for the world’s millions who belong to the Hebrew race. Conversely, greater numbers of Jews choosing to make Israel their home, would, likewise, yield the fruits of strength, ingenuity and self-determination.

As the end of WW II came to a close, those who managed to survive the ravages of the Nazi Holocaust, which had enveloped most of Europe, flocked to the fledgling State which, above all else, offered them hope and safety despite the many enemies surrounding their very small strip of land. . . .

Since that time, millions more Jews have come to the decision that Israel is their destiny, and, up until the last few years, making that move was a fairly uncomplicated step. It was as easy as hopping on a plane, walking into the Interior Ministry office with documented evidence that you were either born Jewish or at least have one Jewish grandparent. Those were the simple requirements in order to be accepted as a citizen of the Jewish homeland.

So what changed, and why does the welcome mat seem to be turned upside down? If you are a Messianic Jew, you might be aware that over the past 15 years or so, there has been a coordinated effort by orthodox groups who have, by and large, been running the offices of immigration. Their full-scale mission has tried to weed out, in any way they could, Jewish individuals who believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah as spoken of in the Law and the Prophets. It’s not that hard, these days, to discover who is a believer in today’s world of Google, Facebook and other social media. . . . immigration is only something attainable by a long, protracted and costly court battle.  Consequently, such a daunting undertaking has stopped many in their tracks who just gave up ….it has turned out to be a clever and effective plan of keeping out Jewish believers for the time being.

But wait, there’s more….All of a sudden, stories of ordinary, traditional Jewish individuals have begun to emerge.  While expressing a desire to immigrate due to a variety of hardships and frightening circumstances, such as Covid, anti-Semitism, Marxist leanings of their new progressive government, the Jewish homeland has suddenly become a very attractive option. For them, what should have been a simple visit to their local Jewish Agency or a quick phone call to Nefesh b’Nefesh, an organization which was designed to facilitate Aliyah, turned into one long series of headaches and never-ending demands which started to feel like one roadblock after another.  In Steve Rodan’s Times of Israel blog article of May 28, 2021 entitled, “Israel’s White Paper? US Jews Find Locked Doors,” he states: “The Law of Return isn’t working. American Jews aren’t being allowed to move to Israel. What is going on?!”

….Rodan says that, “Over the last year, Israel has essentially suspended the Law of Return and that Aliyah, particularly from the U.S,. has never been lower while American Jewish applications have never been higher.”

Rodan quotes Nefesh b’Nefesh’s vice-president, Mark Rosenberg who says, “Past national or international events sparked inquiries and applications — but never like this.” Rodan continues by saying, “Still, Israel is determined to keep its doors locked to American Jews. In June 2020, the Jewish Agency predicted that 50,000 Jews overall would resettle in Israel. Instead, only 20,000 were reported to have been allowed in the country. Jews who applied under the Law of Return were told to wait and wait for a decision by the Israeli government. Last spring, the drop in Aliyah reached 70 percent, compared to the same period in the previous year.”

This was not an isolated incident. Yet another very perplexing incident occurred just a few days ago as Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef told Jews NOT to make Aliyah, (Israel Today, July 9,2021) In the article, he states that “there’s a problem.”

After being asked at a recent visit to Tunisia whether or not Jews should move to Israel, he told them, “It depends on where they live.” He went on to say, “If they were going to live in an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood, then they should immigrate to Israel, but if they were going to live in a place like Herzliya or another one of the secular locations, they should stay where they are. Yosef went on to argue that sin is worse than death, and that a religious Jew’s spiritual well-being would be harmed by living in a secular environment.” In the end, he recommended that “Jews already living in ultra-Orthodox communities in the diaspora should probably remain there.”

To quote Steve Rodan, “What is going on?”  According to the data of the Jewish Agency, an estimated 250,000 Jews would be eager to immigrate to Israel if such a move would be allowed. Rodan says that once applications were forwarded to Israeli consulates by Nefesh b’Nefesh, “the process virtually stopped.”

Following Rodan’s description of a harsh and overbearing interrogation, he seems to believe that only a select few are getting in on the basis of specific criteria formulated by the Israeli government itself.  Rodan states, “Washington has long indicated that it does not want its Jews to resettle in Israel. The reason is capital flight: once an American Jew settles in Israel, regardless of whether he is a tourist, permanent resident or citizen, he can withdraw his money from his US bank account, sell his home, and essentially transfer his assets.”

In fact, Rodan claims that since 2010, Jews flying to Israel have often been searched to see if they are bringing large amounts of cash with them. So is it really just a matter of money? There has also been speculation that Israel’s infrastructure is not in a position to absorb vast numbers of new immigrants despite many of them coming with significant finances, thereby not being a burden on the State.

While many Jews feel that they are, once again, living in perilous times, it begs the question, “Will Israel return to her original stated vision and aspiration of providing a safe refuge for all Jews regardless of their level of religious observance?” Will Jews be permitted to return to their ancestral homeland for whatever reason they see fit? Will their intended homeland view them as valuable assets who will strengthen and bolster the Zionist dream? And, if not, what will become of Theodor Herzl’s inspiring words, “If you will it, it is no dream”?

Must we repeat the words of the revered prophet, Moses, “Let My People Go” to our own Israeli government so that the dream can become the reality which is spoken of throughout the Jewish prophecies?    Ezekiel 36: 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.”

This article, by one of my most favorite Israeli writers, Chava Stein, was edited slightly for space considerations. To read in full Are Jews being discouraged from immigrating to Israel?

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Israel Pochtar, Beit Hallel sends a devotional video Pastor Israel at Mount Hermon and the tribe of Manasseh, plus and article about their recent MEAT Men's ConferenceRising up to the Challenge of being Godly Men. Plus an invitation to learn more about the humanitarian project they are doing among the needy immigrants in their area. Included in this article are many testimonies from those they have been able to help, like this from one immigrant mother, "The daily struggle is already quite intense for us, and I want to cry when I think about the financial load that you have helped lift off my shoulders.” See the Back-to-School ProjectWhen a small Seed goes the extra Mile

Dov Bikas of the street (Tel) Aviv Ministry, plus a men’s rehab and a women’s shelter in Beer Sheva, writes, “I am 62 years old…an age when we start analyzing our lives and asking ourselves questions…. (like) “Why am I doing this kind of ministry and not something else? Why am I working with such hopeless people for so many years?” Somebody even asked me one day: “Why are you preaching to drug addicts and not, for example, to students?”  Well, first of all, I was led to this ministry by God, and His guidance was very clear. But recently I have also remembered that when I became a believer, I very much enjoyed reading testimonies of drug addicts and all sorts of criminals whose lives were changed by God. What I especially liked about these stories was that in almost every one there was a ‘Good Samaritan’ involved – a person who was able to melt the hearts of these cruel and rebellious people.” I have often written that it takes a special heart to make your ministry focus on addicts and street people, this is a perfect expression of what kind of heart does this. If you would like to learn more about this truly good Samaritan ministry work in Israel, please go to their website and learn more about this beautiful work to bring the broken back to a place of beautiful restoration.

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center was in the USA for the 4th of July Independence Day celebrations and wrote, “…we are so thankful that there are allies that stand with Israel to work together in solidarity. Currently, nations are making their choice to stand with God's prophetic mandate or stand against it, and the United States has been faithful to stand with Israel…. We are so thankful for the friendship of the United States, and all allies "Sheep Nations" that follow the shepherd, and it is wonderful to work together for democracy and freedom. Let’s take a few moments this Shabbat to remember those who have given their life that we may be free.  To hear more about the TIME HONORED relationship between the United States and Israel watch the videos below!  Let's build this bridge stronger together. Revive Israel is also Honoring The South Lebanese Army in an article written by Asher Intrater. He also shares in a 6-min video teaching The Key to Success. For their weekly Praise, Prophecy, Prayer, and Preaching Global Broadcast from our team in Israel, you can also watch this rare treat with “Pastor Bassem Adranly ministered the message. He is a dynamic pastor in Jerusalem who ministers to our Arab brothers and sisters.” Also this month the #IAMWITHISRAEL funding focus is on the Revive Israel Discipleship. They write, “Our passion at Revive Israel is to raise up fiery young Israeli witnesses to share the good news of Yeshua with their fellow Israelis. The Revive Israel Discipleship Training Program has been a breath of fresh air in an otherwise very challenging year. Youval and Valerie Yannay started it in early 2020 when COVID restrictions temporarily shut down Revive Israel’s public gatherings |Here’s how you can get involved . Rania Sayegh is also a Christian Arab minister in Nazareth who is a prophetic intercessor and has the House of Prayer and Exploits. Rania is well known and beloved among the Israeli Messianic Jewish community and they often do ministry together. Chaya Mizrachi and Orna Grinman are two of the MJ women ministers who recently came together with Rania speaking in the June Arab Deborah’s training event to Christian Arab pastor’s wives and minsters.  There is another Deborah’s event coming up on Sep 10-11. Rania also was invited to speak in the global prayer conference on the battle for Jerusalem hosted by Global Prayer Call with Harald Eckert, Clive Urquhart & Julia Warkentin.  Learn more about Rania’s ministry at her hope-nazareth website. If you would like to support Rania’s ministry they are working of renovations in the Prayer House and in the Guest House bathrooms. Also they are searching for a new building and still need another $225,000 for the first down payment for this project. Giving info on the website.

Pastor Najeeb & Elisabeth Atteih at the Haifa Immanuel Church & Outreaches, and Refugee Ministries, have been taking part in Zoom meetings with their Israeli Messianic Jewish brethren also — like the Zoom meeting that the HaMaayan congregation led by Tony and Orna Sperandeo invited them to participate in. The Atteih’s also had the Syrian and Iraqi believers join into the time of fellowship and preaching as Najeeb preached in Hebrew and Elizabeth translated into Arabic. [I don’t know about you but this really thrilled my heart to read about!]. He shared a testimony about his son, Tino and his wife getting caught in some of the violence that was seen on the streets at the outbreak of the recent Gaza conflict, and how they were spared. Tino and his wife have since welcomed their first child into the world naming her Emily, and Tino has left IDF service to work in Internal Security for the Ministry of Interior, which allows him to work close to home.  They were also among the Jews and Arab ministries who met in Acco to pray over the nation “in the places where blood was shed in the recent violent crimes across our country in May. … and raised prayers for each soul that was lost. They sprinkled salt in that place to represent and pray for healing of wounds and poured oil, praying for the coming of the Holy Spirit in the region. Each brother present, whether Jew or Arab, repented and sought forgiveness from the Lord on behalf of his people and the violence, problems, and sins they committed. Even though this group of believers is innocent, they prayed and interceded for their people, just as Nehemiah prayed and interceded for the Israelites. Our country needs healing and restoration of souls. Our prayer is that this group can visit the largest number of these places.”  The Atteih’s continue their humanitarian work – especially to those of faith – in the refugee situations from Syria and also in Armenia. Your giving can help them do more.  Email them.

Messiah’s Mandate and Shelanu TV’s Ron Cantor shares how Learning Hebrew: The Greatest Challenge of My Life. He also share about how Messiah’s Mandate has committed to raise $4,000 to help Israeli Messianic Teens become strong in Yeshua at the upcoming Katzir summer camp. “Being a teenager is tough—But in Israel, being a teenager who believes in Yeshua—well, that's doubly challenging! Katzir summer camps have always been an oasis for Israeli-Messianic teen believers. Adolescence is hard—but when you add to it the hardships of being a small, outcast minority group in Israel—our teens need a break!”  Katzir Donate   Here is a Facebook video featuring Katzir director Joel Jelski and an article in Kehila News Israel by Tuvia Pollack: Planning for the future harvest – equipping Messianic youth in Israel

Marianna Gol also has a youth summer camp for the “widows and orphans” she is working with down in the Negev – it had to be a last minute decision because of all the Covid restrictions (a moving target in Israel). They have 44 children and youth signed up but “We are without the usual months of preparations, fund raising, and of course the wonderful support of the USA Young Life team. “ That is one more reason that Marianna is sending out this call to join them for a Prayer Blitz for Summer Camp. It will be on Zoom on July 22nd, from 14:30 Israel time. Please could you let us know if you're able to make it? Contact Form: at http://streamsinthedesert.co

Guy Cohen talked about how the prophet Amos said of himself, ‘says I am a herdsman, a man in the fields working with cattle and the land whom God told to go prophesy to His people Israel.’ Guy says this is the type of humility that is needed in prophets whose prophecies should “be for the purpose of serving those to whom the message is given.” Great message.

Another great message from Restoration from Zion’s Benjamin Juster who advises taking  time this summer to get with extended family and also with our extended spiritual families.  The Juster have done this over the summer and he says it will leave your heart full to be with our natural extended families and with our spiritual extended families it will “help to restore your joy level and lead to the kind of Re-Creation that prepares you for the next season of planting and harvest in the Kingdom.” Dan Juster writes that his and Patty’s 3-month stint in the US is just about up and has been spent “primarily to strengthen the congregations in the Tikkun America Network and to make connection to church partners for the Israel focus of ministry that Ben and Lorena Juster share with us in Restoration from Zion of Tikkun Global.” Dan returns to the US in Nov for 3 weeks but says their lives are focused primarily on ministry in Israel. He writes about the impact of a book on discipling which has been impacting him by Michael Hendricks and Jim Wilder, The Other Half of the Church.  (This is saying something because Dan wrote the definitive book on discipling of the Messianic body, Growing to Maturity.) If you follow Dan’s official page on Facebook, you will get the benefit of his always seeking to learn more and teachable mind that makes him one of – if not the best – teachers or theologians in the Messianic movement.

Lastly, even though you will find this prophetic word How to Pray for the New Government of Israel counter to the facts presented in my cover story this week, I think it is important to share Succat Hallel’s Rick Ridings’ word about opening the gates for Jewish immigrants to Israel. Even though the word is counter to the current facts in evidence, we know that prayer into these issues can move the mountains of obstacles that currently exist on several levels within Israel.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Priority Prayer Request | Arrows from Zion July 8 2021

Thank you for donating to my ministry if it is a blessing to you.

Pictured: one of the National Leadership Conferences to question Tikkun ministries theology.
This was sent in a report at that time from a non-Tikkun associated Israeli pastor
who attended the meeting in Modi'in on April 27, 2018.

The pastor wrote in his report on the meeting, "The topic was spiritual authority in local congregations/ churches and in the broader sense beyond the autonomous local fellowship.  This topic has become one of serious discussion and debate here in Israel, as some of you are aware. I have attached a letter (see on the last page of this summary) from some of the representative leaders in the Body here with respect to where we stand at present.  Please use this update as a help to better pray with understanding for the situation, that the Head of the Church -- Jesus/Yeshua -- will have His way, since He is our ultimate authority, and the Word and the Spirit of God exalt Him. It is our duty to strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, even as we grapple with controversy and end-times understanding."

Priority Prayer Request
by Ron Cantor for Tikkun Global

Isaiah 62 speaks of watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, who are not to be silent day or night and not to give God any rest until He fulfils His purposes for Jerusalem. I have long believed that those watchmen on the walls are Gentile believers from around the world in the end-times. I want to enlist your intercession for the body of believers in Israel.

We will share more with you in the coming weeks, but many of you know that we have been under intense scrutiny and attack. Gossip has caused great harm to our congregations and great pain to many believers around the country.

We regularly express to God that we bless our accusers and forgive them. We have worked tirelessly to express our views accurately. Some of these discussions have born great fruit. However, a core of critics remain skeptical, completely convinced that we have bad intentions.

I am not asking you to pray for me or for us. We are blessed! But I am deeply concerned for the unity of the body of believers in Israel. We need to see this wound healed, and quickly.

Pray for the young believers in our congregations, that they would not be deceived nor allow gossip to poison them.

Pray that people around the body would think twice before they spread rumors and gossip, and that they would have a deeper understanding of how evil speech can limit the effectiveness of the gospel in our midst (see ancient Israel). This is why Paul fought so aggressively against personality cliques and divisions.

Pray for those who have accused us,  that the Lord would speak graciously to them. We wish no evil upon them, but we do want to walk with them again in unity, truth and the love of Messiah.

Pray for Israeli pastors—particularly those in Tikkun who have had to process the rumors and innuendos with congregants—as we come to discuss this issue and make a final determination in October. We are not asking you to pray that other leaders “agree with us,” but that they will have keen discernment from the Holy Spirit.

And lastly, pray for God’s purposes to not be hindered as we continually look for His great and glorious appearing. Messianic leaders in Israel could not do what we do in the holy land without the powerful and effective prayers of the watchmen on the walls--You! Thank you, dear friends. Until all Israel is saved, Ron Cantor for Tikkun Global

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Continuing the Tikkun Global letter from the Priority Prayer Request cover story above, June edition of Israel's Restoration magazine is available for pdf download and contains many articles including Sons & Daughters of the Covenant | Are These the Birth Pangs? | One Body | Some True Essentials | We Discovered Our Calling as Women!  Daniel Juster has another article elsewhere on How You can Become a Better Bible Defender: I recently got an earful of anti-Bible and anti-Christian vilification from an unbeliever.  It made me realize that the Bible and Christianity were being understood by the narrative of the secular anti-Christian culture. That narrative claims the Bible is anti-women, pro-slavery, and sends people to Hell lightly. This evaluation is unfair. People should seek to understand any religion through the eyes of its strongest proponents. Only then can we fairly disagree.  We have to show that we understand their point of view to their satisfaction.

From the Kfar Saba congregation HaMaayan led by Tony & Orna Sperandeo they are noting that despite Covid and war, “Our first six months of 2021 have seen a restoration of relationships, both to each other and to Yeshua Himself.”  In the past 18 months they have seen “a number of new believers and seekers in the faith.  Each of them strong and excited about the good news. Every day, there is discipleship in one form or another in homes, city parks and at the congregation.” There is also a fire lit in the children and the youth: “we are seeing the children bring their parents to our congregation meetings, Bible studies and outings in the city park. Our children's classes are growing in numbers and excitement in the faith.” Also “Our young adults meet often for breakfast, discipleship and prayer together on the roof. New believers and seekers come …. Twice a week, young and old meet to intercede for our congregation and the nation. We are watching prayers of restoration and revival take place before our eyes almost every day!” Exciting!
In the congregational needs: Since the war of 2014, we have had the vision to purchase the basement of our building for a bomb shelter. After years of dealing with bureaucracy, it looks like the purchase can happen soon. In the meantime, as the congregation is growing, God has expanded our vision and we are looking to purchase the other parts of the building. Our downstairs neighbor is ready to sell his portion. This will save us so much money each month as we still rent 2 big rooms from him. We have started a building fund with our members and partners across the world. As one of our members suggested, "All we need is 1000 donors to pledge $1000 USD, and the building will be ours!” Would you consider joining us?

Michael and Dina Beener continue their good work for the missle-shocked town of Sderot near the Gaza border.  They are doing a Post War Major Food Distribution for the needy population from their City of Life congregation, also they have a need to create a space for the great demand they have on clothing distribution to the needy. See more at PROJECT: Blessing Clothing and review the other compassionate outreach projects they are doing.

Two articles of interest from Kehila News Israel – the first is notable because a secular Jerusalem newspaper wrote an openly praising report about an IDF officer who is Messianic. Tuvia Pollack writes Messianic IDF officer praised in local Jerusalem newspaper. At their sister paper, All Israel News is this: Director of Passages tells ALL ISRAEL NEWS young Evangelicals are neutral – even skeptical – when it comes to Israel: “From Shabbat dinner to the West Bank, Passages takes a different approach than most Evangelical tours enabling students to connect with the people.”

The Kerem-El congregation – offspring of the HaCarmel congregation – is also loving being able to gather together after Covid and the war. “Since we have not met together physically for so long, we are placing a lot of emphasis on creating times of fellowship together.”  They are doing focus groups with the different ages of people and are returning to Worship Nights where they also pray for the needs of the community and nation. Prayer Points | Pray for the new believers we are discipling and for the those who are still yet to make a decision for Yeshua Pray for those of the congregation that are dealing with health issues, for complete healing and strength to persevere with the uncertainty of treatment. | Pray for openness in hearts and a new willingness to hear of Yeshua among the people of Israel, and, with that, boldness for believers to share their faith confidently. | Pray for more laborers to enter our "harvest field" to build God's kingdom in Haifa | Pray for God to provide the financial needs of Kerem-El in 2021, above and beyond what we expect. | Continue to for our leadership, Stefan and Keren Silver and Yonatan Arnold, as they lead the Kerem-El Congregation through this season of crisis and strive to be attentive and obedient to the leading of the Lord.

Revive Israel’s Asher Intrater writes, “When everything looks hopeless, we have an opportunity to share real Hope. The evangel message is more relevant than ever before.” Continuing, “Hearts have been softened by so much shaking. The world looks like a sinking ship. People want to know how to be saved. There is a desire for eternity in the hearts of every person (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Our message is not one of temporary innovations, but of eternal hope. In Yeshua, we have forgiveness, life and the all-embracing love of our heavenly Father.”
He has also written an article called Two Jerusalems talking about the time that the New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven: “....Because of the separation between Israel and the Church over the past 2,000 years, there has not been the right harmony between the earthly and the heavenly Jerusalem. However, our generation is blessed to see the beginning of the reconciling of the two. God's will for earthly and heavenly Jerusalem will be unified as Israel and the Church are reconciled.  Today as there are Messianic Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus) living in Israel, there are angels ascending and descending from heaven to earth and vice versa to bring about that harmony. Yeshua reigns in heavenly Jerusalem by right of being the Son of God; He will reign in earthly Jerusalem when He returns by right of being the Son of David. Thank God Yeshua is both” (Ro 1:4).

Sally Shiff, an intecessor and liaison at HaMaayan for English speakers, writes about how faithful God is to hear our heart’s desire even when we see no way both with timing and finances. God provided her with both so she return to the US for her mother’s 94th birthday. Anyone living far away from a parent of that age, in delicate lucidity, can appreciate how much this meant to be able to travel through a couple of unexpected and unprompted financial donations. She also noted it was healing for other relationships and believes we are in a season of God restoring relationships. May it be so in all of our families! Sally also writes about HaMaayan, “There is a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit in my congregation. …Part of my reluctance to travel to my family was the happenings around my congregation and the people I love. With prayer meetings either face to face or virtually every day, a greater dependence on God and His response is taking place. People are getting saved, healed and strong in Him.  The undercurrent of grace is evident, yet there is a spiritual fight that is clearly seen. I pray that our eyes would see how God wars on our behalf. Honestly, my sense is God is teaching us that our weapons are only through prayer and dependence on Him.” This is my sense in my personal realm too.

Chuck Cohen’s Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem Friday Prayer Points   7-2-2021 features one important security prayer as we continue to see 2-state peace talks pressed in our national news sources: Chuck writes:  “The beating death of a critic of Palestinian Authority President Abbas by PA security forces who were to arrest him has stirred up the Palestinian street in huge protests against Abbas and his cronies. This could lead to a Hamas takeover which, while worse initially for Israel security-wise – would write in bright neon lights, "Dead!" over any further peace deals.” See the prayer points clicking the link above.

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center notes: “Aliyah requests to immigrate to Israel are up and backlogged by 85% from the USA alone.”  As anti-Semitism increases in many nations, the need to help the immigrants once they arrive in Israel is even more pressing. One way Christians can make a deep impact on what may be the hold up on the Israel side of the backup is through the humanitarian aid that Israeli Messianic congregations and ministries are doing to help needy immigrants. Getting people to Israel is only part of the problem; taking care of them afterwards is the other CRITICAL part.  Since the anti-missionaries pressured the Jewish Agency to oust the Aliyah Return Center operations from their facility in the Galilee, ARC has continued to press into developing other ways to help the immigrants who many arrive very needy, to receive free help. Their latest venture is opening a free clothing store “specifically bless those that have recently moved to the promised land, Israel.” To support the work of the Aliyah Return Center, please DONATE.
Canadian Dean Bye and Israeli Chaim Malespin are in the US now trying to raise awareness of this issue. . . and in talking to an Israeli Messianic writer friend this past week, I have learned that the slow down of processing immigrant requests is an article my friend is in the process writing about now. Stay tuned!

I always love hearing from Jackie Santoro, one of the co-founders of the Jerusalem Ahavat Yeshua congregation along with her husband, Eddie who passed away two years ago and the Intrater’s.  One, because Eddie had a particularly astute spiritual assessment ability of current events and since he joined the LORD in eternity, it has become clear to me that he passed that mantle on to Jackie. She writes, “The recent war with Hamas led to very violent demonstrations between extremist groups, both Jewish and Arab. The nation watched in horror and shock as each group set out to destroy businesses and wreak havoc and even kill those on the other side. The spirit of hatred and division was boldly manifest even in areas that had prided themselves on the ability to live in peace with one another. The trauma to the nation was said to have been even greater than all the rocket attacks that fell during the same period.”
I can relate so well to that because in 2020, I believe most Americans suffered the same kind of horror and shock as we saw domestic extremists set fire to so many of our cities. It was unwarranted and demonic.
The after effect has been “violent caused violent demonstrations against Israel throughout the world. There has been a significant rise of anti-Semitic attacks especially in Europe,” Jackie writes, continuing, “May the Jews of the world hear what the Spirit is saying and come home!”
Jackie also writes “June 15th marked two years that I have not had my dear Eddie walking by my side. As I have clung to the Lord through all the difficult moments, He has drawn me to that door and He has called me to ‘Come up.’ I have found myself absorbed in wanting to learn about Heaven and imagining what it is like.” Read her full letter

Mariana Gol has a marvelous report about Rut (Ruth):  Two weeks ago Rut had routine medical tests relating to her cancer condition. Her main concern has been that her death will leave (her daughter) Shirrel without the provision she needs for care. Rut just received her results and the doctors are astonished. The cancer has not metastasized. The doctors say that the treatment Rut's received has worked unexpectedly well!  Rut wants me to express her overwhelming gratitude to you, to share her relief and joy, and to celebrate what she believes the Lord has done. We are all so encouraged, and our faith so empowered. Thank you very much, so very much for your prayers.

Lastly how antimissionary activists still have too much sway with the Interior ministry in getting people kicked out of the country. Caspari Media Review noted on the accusation of one ultra-Orthodox man, a Christian couple who has been in Israel on various visas working as volunteers for around 16 years, has been ordered to leave Israel. They were just about to get permanent visas to stay when a Haredi man accused the woman who drove Haredi midwives on Sundays of missionizing his wife. From there it went to Yad L’Achim activists and then on to the Interior Ministry who told the woman and her husband they had to leave the country. It is only one story, but I wanted to include it because there have been hopes that with the new government, less persecution of believers would be forthcoming. That appears not to be the case. The bureaucracy of the Interior Ministry is systemically opposed to believers in Yeshua, but apparently the new Knesset head of Interior is no less inclined to deal with that. Pray for this couple having to leave Israel, and also for the injustice that is caused by this religious persecution.

Why is it so important to financially support Israeli Messianic Ministries?
by Donna Diorio

I have been exploring what the thinking is behind Christian Zionists and Messianic Jews in the nations failure to see how important it is to not only pray for Israeli Messianic ministries, but also to provide the financial support they so desperately need to carry out the full visions God has given them to reach their countrymen with the Gospel.  I’m talking about the negative, false ideas that are holding back the kind of full-throated support that our SPIRITUAL brothers and sisters in Israel need to do the work of the ministry to their fullest abilities. They have the desire, they lack the funds.
Honestly, I was quite appalled talking with a Christian Zionist this week who pours major funding into the coffers of rabbinic pet projects, including but not limited to preparations for rebuilding of the temple. It is not that he said something new to my ears. I have heard the same cavalier attitude from other Christian Zionists over the years. I was just appalled because he also connects with Israeli Messianic believers, so I could not understand his lack of empathy for the spiritual brethren in Israel. He seems to think all Jews are his spiritual brethren, not recognizing that there is major spiritual difference between the Israeli Jews who are believers and those who aren’t. Many who aren’t are truly gracious to their Christian benefactors, but vehemently hate and persecute the Israeli Messianic believers. A lot of Christian Zionists refuse to believe that reality.
Anyway, I was shocked when he brushed off the financially struggling Israeli ministries (following Covid, no tourism, war) writing, “The struggling of the Jewish believers is being counted to them as righteousness. It is not fun. But we must turn the cheek and love our brothers." He is referring to the rabbis he funds in Israel who are unsaved, not understanding they are still as the apostle Paul said, “enemies of the Gospel.” The simple matter is if Christians – and Messianics are funding anything in Israel and not making the Israeli Messianic ministries who are preaching the Gospel in Israel their priority to finance, then that is a massive failure for whatever reasons are given in hastening the salvation of all Israel.
In the future I will be addressing the thinking patterns that stop Christian Zionists and Diaspora Messianic Jews from prioritizing funding the Messianic congregations and ministries laboring in Yeshua’s harvest fields of Israel.  It is not to condemn, it is “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” and His plan to bring spiritual restoration to Israelis – including many religious Jews who now persecute the believers.
I do believe God is gathering Jews to Israel so they can be restored spiritually as a nation of Israel...not merely salvation of  individual Jews scattered all through the nations but that God has a blessing for the whole world in the salvation of the nation that before our eyes. There are already an estimated 1 million individual Jews who have come to faith in Yeshua around the world, but for the NATION of Israel to come to faith! This is something that really registers to people the world over especially because Jewish disdain for Jesus is so well known. I believe as Israel comes into faith before the eyes of the whole world, many in the nations are going to marvel at how God loves the Jews.  It will release gentiles in the nations to come to faith just witnessing Israel's Jews coming to faith in Jesus/Yeshua!  No wonder the enemy uses every misdirection in the book to keep Christians and Messianics in the Diaspora from seeing that. God did not re-establish the nation of Israel just to show He could do it. He did it to show the world that His unfailing love is TRULY unfailing.
That is the first time I have been able to express so well the WHY of WHAT I believe is going to happen in the coming years of Israel's salvation. It will be like "life from dead" not only for the Jews who get saved in Israel, but for the nations where seekers will see it and explode with the faith it will create in Messiah Yeshua, Jesus the Anointed.
Genesis 22:17-18 "I will surely bless you, and I will multiply your descendants like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Furthermore, through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my Voice."  I do not believe this promise of God to the Jews is only referring to Jesus/Yeshua coming out of the Jewish people, but there remains a blessing on the world as Jews come to faith in Yeshua in Israel - obeying the Voice of God.

“To All Interested Parties” | March 2018 |  We, pastors and elders of the Messianic congregations in Israel, wish to bring to your attention a certain process that has been taking place among us.

Some suspicions arose among us as a result of internet and social media postings:

1.       That the “Tikkun” movement thinks of itself as the (unique) representative of the Israeli Body of Messiah to the worldwide Body of Christ.

2.       That the “Tikkun” movement, and its top leaders—Dan Juster, Asher Intrater, and Eitan Shishkoff—consider themselves as modern-day apostles; and see themselves as a continuation of, and with the same authority as, the New Testament apostles.

3.       A concern was raised about a matter in one of Dan Juster’s books, in relation to the salvation of the non-believer (“Wider Hope”).

After two meetings with many pastors, elders and the “Tikkun” leadership, several things have become clear to us:

1-      The men of “Tikkun” clearly expressed that they understand that their manner of expression in different forums—in recordings of messages and on websites—could possibly cause those who are not part of the “Tikkun” movement to think that they believe themselves to be a continuation of the apostles from the time of the writing of the New Testament, and as a (unique) representative of the Israeli Body.

2-      The men of “Tikkun” clarified, in the strongest terms, that they do not hold these views.

3-      The men of “Tikkun” expressed regret about this misunderstanding, and expressed their apologies and repentance in regardsto their manner of expression which is prone to cause misunderstandings with respect to #1 above; and promised to change their manner of expression concerning the above matters in every forum, on the internet, and in social media.

4-      The men of “Tikkun” began to apply the above changes between our first and second meetings.

5-      An intense discussion was begun concerning the view of Dan Juster and Tikkun about the salvation of the unbeliever without faith in Yeshua the Messiah; Dan began to explain his position as the “Narrow Wider Hope.”

The Israeli Body of Messiah views the men of “Tikkun” as brothers in the Messiah. There is an expectation to continue the discussion in order to bring clarification to this issue, and other issues, which at the present time we do not agree on.

6-      It should be mentioned that within the Israeli Body of Messiah there are a variety of opinions in relation to ecclesiology and eschatology.  We discussed these issues both in the context of Tikkun’s views, as well as in the wider context of the whole Body of Messiah in Israel.

7-      We discussed whether the Scriptures allow for apostles to exist and function in our day.  To a group of the participants it is clear that Ephesians 4:11-13 does allow for the existence of apostles in the Body of Messiah today, but that they are not on the same level as the apostles of the New Testament.  Along with this, we discussed the question of whether or not the Tikkun leaders are in fact apostles, and there was no agreement about this. It was agreed that there could be another meeting at which this would be one of the matters to be discussed.

8-      These meetings cultivated a desire for leaders to continue to hold discussions on these issues of soteriology (doctrine of salvation), ecclesiology (doctrine of the church), and eschatology (doctrine of the end times), and other issues.  It is our intention to continue in this way.

Signed, Marcel Ribai | Erez Zoref | Daniel Yahav | Meno Kalisher | Asher Intrater | Oded Shoshani
