Times of Israel REPORT: Israeli Army told to prepare for large-scale military operation in Gaza | Israel practices conquering Gaza, said to have warned Hamas it is prepared to embark on campaign in Strip if flaming kite launches don't cease by Friday

This is exactly what Hamas wants, to provoke Israel to war so it can heap bad press on Israel. Pray for a Divine Strategy to be delivered to Bibi and his war council instead.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries by subscription only donna@israelprayer.com

Thanks to the kindred ministry to "widows and orphans" (or single mothers and at-risk children) of Orna Grinman, I have made contact with Marianna Gol who has a "widows and orphans" ministry in the Negev. Marianna's name has been familiar to me for many years but we never quite made contact. This will be the first time her ministry and prayer letters are featured in this summary. The first is mostly an intro but continue to watch for prayer requests from her ministry called Afikim BaNegev, or Streams in the Desert.

First set of prayer requests from Marianna regards their 10th summer youth camp "We will minister to 56 teens, most of them from believing homes, but some of them don't know the Lord yet. Most of them also come from broken homes. We will teach them how and why to forgive. How forgiveness is one of our God-given secret weapons. We will try to show them how one can persevere through pain and disappointment by being filled with the power of God." Pray for the ministry.

Ron Cantor of Messiah's Mandate catches us up on the latest news from the Middle East and it is quite intense right now, as you may know.  In fact, even as I wrap up this Arrows from Zion, Ron has filed a newer Latest News  report - but his earlier report from the 11th is still full of things that you should know about, including what he found when he went to the Syrian border for a 30-min documentary for GOD TV.  In this report you will hear about the humanitarian efforts of Dalton Thomas' FAI Relief group and to a 29-year-old Peruvian Wonder Woman with a medical degree. She works tirelessly, treating the Syrians caught in the civil war. Tania, has been nicknamed by the Syrians, "The Miracle Doctor". There are also updates on Israel's stance on protecting Syrians at the border, the ongoing issues with Gaza, the critical meetings with Putin and prayer points for all these things.  Read it inside the Weekly Summary subscription, or by subscribing directly to Cantor's ministry.

Eric Benson heads the rehab House of Victory ministry in Haifa that is connected to the Carmel congregation.  As I have been trying to bring attention to, all of the ministries in Israel have experienced a downturn in international donations that is adversely affecting their ministry operations. It is not a summer dip, but an ongoing diverting of giving AWAY from Israeli ministries. It is not just because my own priority is with the Israeli ministries, but literally at this point in prophetic history, those who support the Israeli ministries are sowing into the well being of their own nations. There is a "to the Jew first" application here that must be understood as deeply connected to Ephesians 2:15 and Romans 15:27. Even as the Antioch church sowed contributions into the Messianic ministry in Jerusalem out of all the nations that would be affected by the prophesied coming famine (Acts 11), so also must the Israeli ministries remain our FIRST place of sowing into the kingdom of God, for the sake of the work of the kingdom in our own nation and all the nations. If you don't follow my thinking on this, it will make an excellent bible study.

Benson reports that they have had to let go one of their staff due to financial struggles, but the Arab Israeli brother found a window opening in Germany to minister to Syrian refugees there.  We are glad for this brother, but the fact remains - there should be growth in giving to Israeli ministries, not diversion of contributions to other places. "To the Jew first, then to the Gentile" (Romans 1:16) is not just a historical reference of how the Gospel went out from Israel around the world. This is a NOW message, "For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Isaiah 2:3 "For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?" Romans 11:15

Regardless of limiting flow of donations the work of the ministry goes on at the House of Victory, which ministers to those that society has turned its back on and those that have usually also alienated family members as their addictions increase. Heaven rejoices over every single soul that such ministries are able to pull from the fire and set on the path of life in Messiah. Please learn more about this ministry on the Carmel Congregation website. Read more of their ministry letter in the Weekly Summary subscription or by directly subscribing to their ministry letter.

The Kerem-El congregation is also an affiliate with the Carmel congregation, serving an outlying community near the mother congregation. Among items in their report is about the recent retreat they had at a Golan Heights hostel on the Fruit of the Spirit.  Two days away with different age groups as a congregational family was enjoyed by all and important in building community.  They also held a June clothing exchange Bazaar  - which really reminds me of my own family growing up: We loved trading clothes with each other and for the same reason this congregation enjoys it: "The clothing exchange is especially great for young families with growing children as these are not cheap in Israel, so having the opportunity to receive new and used clothes for free is a real blessing. We love seeing everyone bonding and even finding things for each other, including families that didn't make it that week."

Among their prayer requests (which would work with all the congregations) are these:
1)  Bold hearts to share about Yeshua and the great love of God with those in people's spheres of influence (work, university, friends, family etc).
2)  A great increase of God's Spirit in our people of all ages.
3)  A new passion to walk in a greater degree of holiness and love towards each other.
4)  Protection for the children during the summer vacation and also for patience and long-suffering for the parents

Youval Yanay, who is the director of Revive Israel, along with Revive founder, Asher Intrater share about their growing impact in Israel (they included a powerful breakout in the various areas, which unfortunately I did not have room to include, but you can write them for it!) The write, "Because of your support in 2018 we continue to experience new growth, most notably the dramatic monthly increase in the number of people accessing the teaching of Revive Israel via the Internet."  They are also taking it to the streets with Jewish and Arab evangelism on the streets of Jerusalem.  All this growth has prompted the need and strategic decision to build a new ministry building.

They write, "Our current buildings include Soviet era containers converted into now over-crowded offices and an old warehouse. While we are grateful for these, we also understand that the Lord is prompting us to move from a pioneering phase of ministry to something more developed. A new building is needed that will serve the growth effectively, with sufficient office space, a large enough prayer, praise and prophecy center, and also a facility to enable us to reach into the local community, as well as the nations. God has already provided approximately half the money needed for this new building. Land and the cost of building here are expensive, so please stand with us in faith for the remaining funds to come in quickly, and do talk to us personally if you would like to help with a major contribution."

From the Maoz ministries of Ari & Shira Sorko Ram, Katy writes about the 15+ earthquakes that have shaken Israel from the Galilee - thereby promoting concerns over the big one that comes about once a century. That is now at the 91 year mark for expectations and as Katy puts it: "To say it plainly—Israel is NOT ready for a major earthquake.  In fact, due to these small shakings, many news reports are concentrating on the failure to prepare not only in fortifying existing structures that are not up to standard, but also in emergency response in case "the big one" does occur.  They ask prayers "for God to protect our land from a major earthquake.  Pray for safety for Israelis living in unprepared areas and in unfortified buildings. Pray that as people realize they cannot trust in other people and governments for their safety, they would turn to the ONLY ONE who can save them!  Pray for a wave of revival to come out of this series of earthquakes."

Also in the Maoz prayer requests, prayer for Jacob Damkani; regarding persecution of believers in the realm of citizenship and immigrating to Israel; for Ari in teaching ministry and Shira in writing ministry - also for the Maoz staff in Israel and the nations

From the Global mailing of the Tikkun International are a focus of the writings and videos of the northern Tikkun congregations leadership, Eitan Shishkoff What Are You Worth? and Forever Young.

Also, prayers requested for the upcoming Katzir Youth Summer camp.  From Guy Cohen of the Acco Harvest of Asher, The Test & Temptation of Accomplishments and this video from Leon Mazin at Return to Zion in Haifa Oasis Media Ministry.
Last but not least from Tikkun Global is a recommended book Awakening One New Man edited by Robert Wolf with chapters by Daniel Juster, Ray Ganon, Bill McCartney, Mitch Glaser, Peter Tsukahira, Jonathan Bernis, Criag Keener, Jack Hayford, Sandra Teplinksky, Jane Hansen Hoyt, Michael Brown and Raleigh Washington

"Normally, discussions about One New Man focus on Jew and Gentile needing to reconcile. Usually, this conversation breaks down over the place of Israel in the Kingdom and end times.  People rarely think, much less act, on the purpose behind the Lord calling us to be the One New Man. ... There is a call in this season, as confirmed in Ephesians 2 and 3, for Jew and Gentile to come together as One New Man and to walk as joint heirs in the commonwealth of Israel. When Jew and Gentile come together as One, the Lord has stored up a release of blessing and power that will forever change humanity’s destiny."

We were all prepared with Israel Pochtar's ministry report about things the 13th anniversary of Beit Hallel has brought to mind, when he issued this PRAYER ALERT for the escalation of rocket fire at Israeli cities from Gaza and the ongoing terrorist arson fire balloons which have burnt more that 7,400 acres of land - much of it farmland on the cusp of harvest. The situation is dire, and yesterday in fact, Israel gave notice to Hamas: it stops by Friday or we are at war. Israel writes: "Please pray for this situation as we're facing very uncertain times yet again in Israel, but we know and have seen time and time again the power of prayer of believers who stand together in faith for God's divine protection for His nation." For all of the two reports from Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel in Ashdod, read it in the subscription only Weekly Summary, or contact them directly to be added to their mailing list.

We have an update from Eddie Santoro who continues to need our prayers in the battle against a second rise of brain cancer. He's had a second operation and is now taking twice monthly biological cancer treatment. He writes, "I am happy to report that I am feeling well and my energy has been good. We are so appreciative of all your prayers and for all those who write to encourage us. We are convinced that the prayers of the saints accomplish mighty things in the spirit. Please keep praying!"

Like Beit Hallel and Kerem-el, the Ahavat Yeshua congregation also took a congregational retreat for the summer up in northern Israel for a time for the congregational families to bond within their fellow congregants.  How wonderful to get away all together for a time of refreshing!  Santoro always writes, "Israel is experiencing a record year in tourism and the expectation is that this will continue to increase. And so many of the tourists are sincere believers who want to experience some of the Messianic movement in Israel. We are so grateful to all our friends from the nations of the world who stand with us and pray and support us. So please join us in praying that we would achieve the right balance between these two goals- establishing a family with local believers that will be attractive to other Israelis and welcoming those who come to visit.

The report from Yonit and Arni Klein of Emmaus Way begins with a view from their front yard on a hilltop south of Tberias with an afternoon takedown of a Syrian drone over the lake by an Israeli Patriot missile. Then it is on to the series of earthquakes whose epicenter is in the nearby Sea of Galilee.  Lots happening in their backyard, but the bulk of the report is on the serious health battles that are hitting Israeli ministries, especially those of Eddie Santoro, Jacob Damkani and Esther Ridings Moore.   Arni writes, "These are serious life-threatening high-profile situations, all taking place at the same time in the midst of the week of Israel’s historic 'Dire Straits.'  There are more than these three, but they are the most well-known. The spiritual battle over Israel is like nowhere else. The concern in the kingdom of darkness over the awakening of the Body in Israel is great."

They also have completed the first draft of a 12-week small groups course called "Israel Revealed" to help people gain a deeper understanding of Israel with the guidance of the course and a facilitator. To learn more about this and its upcoming release in English and German, read more in the subscription only Weekly Summary or write the ministry directly to be included in their mailing list.

Lastly we have the latest update from an exhausted by faith-filled Elisheva Damkani on Jacob Damkani's condition. This was released on Elisheva's Facebook page just hours ago where she notes that for the first time she has heard the nurse tell her that Jacob is "stable".  She writes, "We have seen many miracles, He kept Jacob alive through this most dangerous surgery, his heart started beating right after it, Jacob started breathing almost on his own, his blood pressure is quite well. God stopped a severe sepsis Jacob had developed – it was gone from one day to the other, simply gone! The bleeding stopped and they could close his chest. Jacob also had a severe DIC – disseminated intravascular coagulation, a condition in which small blood clots develop throughout the bloodstream, blocking small blood vessels. This is only of the very dangerous things Jacob developed after surgery – it’s gone! God is healing his liver, kidneys, lungs. He doesn't have seizures, the tests they do are better and better… When I said good night to him yesterday he slept like a baby, deep, quiet, it looked like a restful sleep that helps him regain strength and brings him closer to health. We want to praise the Lord for taking such good care of our precious Jacob!" Please keep praying.
