IDF and govt are talking about war. Make sure we have plenty of water,
matches, candles, toilet paper, toothpaste or anything else you need. Maybe an
extra can of petrol. Try to keep cars as full as possible with gas. Love ♥
Yes, there is much more talk than usual
about another serious war here in Israel. Iran is shouting louder and more
often - if that were possible. So prayer is critical. And all this is happening while
we have no real government in office. The opportunity to form a coalition of 61
Knesset members (out of 120) is now in the hands of General Benny Gantz of Blue
&White party since Netanyahu was unable to form a coalition.This week Gantz pledged to promote religious pluralism in Israel if he is elected. He said, ‘Our fight for survival and freedom has been empowered by a secret weapon - our unity.’
He added, ‘Over the past decade the secret weapon of ours started to crumble. The divide within Israel [Orthodox vs Seculars] has deepened, but also the divide with the Diaspora [Israeli Orthodox vs Diaspora Reform and Conservative streams].
He continued, ‘When I will be the Prime Minister of Israel, I will embrace all streams of Judaism. I will nurture this pluralism.’
That doesn’t necessarily mean he
would quickly recognize Messianic Jewish fundamental rights as we are
considered beyond the pale by most politicians.
However, it would definitely
lessen the heavy hand of ultra-Orthodox on believing Israeli Jews, and
especially for Jews trying to make Aliya.
Yes we are at a critical place
with our government. A third election over a stalled government would almost
assuredly give the same results as the last two - deadlocked.
Actually, if Netanyahu would stop
demanding to drag the ultra Orthodox into a coalition with him, there would be
a government tomorrow morning. It would be as mainly Likud, Blue and White and
Liberman. But somehow Netanyahu wants the Religious parties with him as he
feels that would somehow protect him from being indicted for corruption.
And that is my last point. Nobody
knows if Israel’s Attorney General will indict Netanyahu or not. So God is able
to rule and overrule at any one or more of these issues/events as they
progress.
Dear Heavenly Father,
The return of Your Son is getting closer and closer. With our spiritual eyes we see the end is upon us. We pray right now for the armies of heaven to fight for us.

There is an enemy with violent long-distant weapons bent on using these
weapons on our people. We are surrounded by enemies who dream of our
destruction.
But Lord, You said that You are laughing at them from Your Throne!
Protect us with Your weaponry from on high. Confuse Your enemies. Blind them.
Cause them to make many mistakes. Raise up spies among them to defeat their
plots.
And Lord we will not forget the burgeoning crowds of new Christians being
raised up in Iran - against all odds. And the born-again Christians among the
Kurds and Syria, and yes Lord, Lebanon which is now in turmoil.
You have plans, Lord. Plans before the world was created. We pray in
partnership with You, put those plans into action, in Yeshua’s Name!
Save Your people Israel! Lord, there is such hunger here for Truth and
Spiritual Fulfillment! Lord please supply the ways and means for Your Body here
to get the Greatest News in all the World out to our people. In Yeshua’s Name!

Their latest ministry letter came in theis week and it is great to hear
from Carolyn and Richard Hyde that Richard is doing well after having to be rushed
to ER with heart pains. He is going to have another angiogram and doctors adjusted his medication but bless
the Lord, Richard was well enough to be released. Continue to pray for health
and healing. And please read Carolyn's excellent blog article on needing dental
work during this same time, called Intercessory Dentistry.
They also share about the fruitful ministry they are having on street outreaches as Israelis are open to hear about Yeshua. Carolyn writes about one woman about her age approaching her because of their "G-d Loves You" tshirts: "The hunger to know and the openness of heart were beyond beautiful to behold - we are certainly in the midst of the harvest!" From the elderly who feel forgotten to the young who are being discipled,
the Voice of Judah ministries under Israel Pochtar are ministering to all age
groups with great effectiveness. During Sukkot they took 30 of the young people
up to the Galilee for a camping trip/discipleship training focused on
overcoming challenges and obstacles. This is leadership training for the young
and was so well received. " Please continue to pray for the young
believers of Israel!"

challenges, but is well worth cranking up the volume and listening carefully. This
is also a follow up report on the Feast of Tabernacles BBQ event that they put
on when a mighty rushing wind swept through Israel collapsing sukkahs across
the country. . . .but Chaim tells how their succah remained standing and the
team held it together to do the event. Interestingly enough, the same thing
happened in the US from New Jersey to Boston this year where winds flattened
all the sukkahs! I strongly suspect there is a huge message here for the Jewish
people wherever they are.

Hasdey Yeshua in Arad had their family camp out during Sukkot as school
is out & they are able to enjoy the experience together as a congregation.
The heavy rainstorm blew on them as well, but they all enjoyed the week of
camping anyway. In other news, they report that "Hussain" a Negev
Bedouin who found the LORD and had been suffering opposition to his faith from
family, is now doing better as their stance has softened. (Prayers!) Pray for
the ongoing ministry among the Bedouin. This is quite an amazing work that is
going on, which you can learn more making direct contact with the congregation.
They also write that there is a shakeup going on in the leadership of the
Hasidic Gur and they don't know yet how it will affect them there in Arad. They
write, "They’re deceived by the real enemy of our souls. Having said that,
a serious split and outright rebellion has occurred in their ranks. It came to
a head at the end of Sukkot. You can read about it here"
Dov Bikas whose Beer Sheva congregation and the rehab (they reaching the
addicts mostly in Tel Aviv, but are rehabbing them in Beer Sheva) sends the
testimony of one of the men they have had great results with, and who is now going
to be joining them as part of the ministry outreach to help others. Please pray
for Oleg and for the ministry. Dov writes, "The park in Beersheva where we
had been doing our outreach to the local addicts ceased to be their meeting
place. Two gangs of dealers quarreled over the dominance in this location, and
one of them arrived with guns one day and forbid the addicts to come to the
place. Now we are looking for their new meeting location but have not found it
yet. Pease pray." Also pray for Dov's wife Olga who has chronic severe
back pain for several years now which is not getting better. Pray for a
miraculous healing for Olga in the Name of Yeshua: by His stripes Olga was
healed!
Maoz Ministries in Tel Aviv (Ari & Shira Sorko-Ram
and Kobi & Shani
Ferguson) write to update us and give prayer points on 5 major points, first one
being the Arabic Worship project by the Sakhnini Brother’s from Nazareth which
was funded by donations to Maoz Israel. The album is complete and a debut
concert in Nazareth was well attended by Muslim and Christian Arabs alike as
well as some Messianic Jews. This January will be recording a second album as
well as planning a tour to share the beauty of worship from Israel – both in
Hebrew and Arabic. Keep it all in prayer.
They also send prayer points
for the war drums that are beating, for the Israeli govt in limbo, for Netanyahu
who nevertheless is the current PM and must continuing acting as such, so
please pray for him. Also "October is commonly known to
be a month of spiritual aggression by those who pursue darkness. Whether, it be
teens experimenting with things they don’t understand, or lifelong devotees
determined to pray evil into the lives of people. It should come as no surprise
that there are those who practice witchcraft who prefer to do so in Israel. As
such, we add prayers this month for blessing and protection on God’s people and
mercy to those who are in bondage to the enemy."

Abramov of Awake Israel, because of a condition where blood does not flow
to his legs as it should, was advised by a specialist in case of injuries, he
could lose his leg because of the blood flow issues. Please pray.
We are sorry to report that South African performer Andile Gumbi succumbed to his illness and died in Jerusalem on October 25th. His pregnant wife came to his side as he was in a coma, and also - by unconfirmed sources - had to be hospitalized after arriving with fears of losing her baby. Please continue to pray for Andile's wife and unborn child.

I have heard this for decades, that "Israel can only depend on
Israel" and honestly used to be quite insulted hearing or reading Israeli
believers repeating the popular Jewish adage.
Don't get me wrong: I understand why the Jewish people came to think like that, but as for spiritually alive in Yeshua Israeli Jews to think that way was really discouraging to me. It is like Israel-supporting Christians were being dismissed as non-essential. That Jews could only count on Jews in the final analysis.
This was always greatly troubling to me even knowing how many times the Jews have been deserted when push came to shove, I thought that Israeli Messianic Jews should know that in the end the "one new man" in Messiah was in part for the purpose of producing an alliance that would make us "a friend who stays closer than a brother."
Now I also understand that there are a lot of Christians who support Israel, but like so many before them, when persecution comes too close to them personally, the zeal wears thin. That is exactly what happened in the days of Nazi Germany when the Nazis started coming to the Church for Jews who became Christians. The Church comforted themselves in not acting by saying, the took them away because of their Jewishness, not because of their Christianity. It is incredible what people are willing to tell themselves to justify not acting to defend against evil.
It looks like to me that in our day there is no justification like that which God is going to allow. This time around Christians are being targeted too, and in fact, although you couldn't tell it from most news sources, Christians are officially the most persecuted group of people on the planet. I believe God is driving us into alliance with the Jewish people. There's nothing like standing in someone's shoes for real to open our eyes to their plight.

Israel — but there will be God's Remnant in all the nations who will not
be numbered among them.
It is becoming clearer that there is a dichotomy at work in this scripture. While all the nations will be stirred up to wipe out Israel, there will be a Remnant in all nations praying for God to intervene. You see where this is going? Those of truth faith in all the nations are under increasing duress themselves, like righteous Lot whose soul was vexed by the depraved conduct of the lawless. Hell is after Christians and Jews already. Surely we see that is true.
We know the Bible says that Yeshua Himself is going to return and destroy all the nations that come up against Israel, but what about the Remnant that is in all the nations who are praying fervently for God to save Israel? What will happen to them? God knows how to preserve the righteous. Even while reducing Sodom and Gomorrah to rubble, God rescued righteous Lot.
God knows how to preserve our lives too, so we can stand with our friend Israel, no matter what it may look like it will cost us — and even so, it may cost some of us our lives but not all of us. Great is His faithfulness, as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said, "He is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace ...But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods."
