Trending: Awakening to Israel’s Significance
by Donna Diorio

For 20 years I have tried to keep an exclusive focus in this prayer summary on the Israeli Messianic congregations and ministries —not every ministry that operates with offices in Israel, but specifically Israeli citizen-Messianic Jewish congregational and ministry leaders. Also Israeli Christian Arab ministries, however due to the need for so many of them to remain anonymous to avoid the terrorists who would try to kill them, I have very much few of those over the years I can feature openly.  I have worn blinders to keep my focus on the Israeli ministries for the large part. Here is why:
Too many Christians, when donating to Israel, feel more comfortable just identifying a large Christian ministry that connects in some way with Israel and donate their funds through them. I am not opposed to Christian ministries connected to Israel, but this is something I know for certain, it is ONLY the citizen- Body of Messiah in Israel who are bringing the Gospel to Israelis. The Christian organizations in Israel, in order to remain in the good graces of Israeli authorities have to promise not to engage in sharing the faith.
For the most part I haven’t known what is going on in American Christian circles or in American Messianic circles either. Many high profile ministers, I have never even heard of because I have only been tuned into Israeli ministries. This determination is based on not losing my single focus of advocating for the Israeli ministries. Why? Because they are the group who have been most ignored by others in our world of the faith. Sure, there is lots of focus from Christians on Israel, but I am speaking about the lack of focus on the household of faith in Israel —the Living Stones, the Temple that is made without hands, the body of Messiah in Israel.
There is only one explanation for the lack of attention to the believers of Israel and that is that the Adversary has worked hard to make them either completely misunderstood or unknown to their Christian spiritual family. The good news is that God will not allow that to continue forever.
Time is running out of the devil’s schemes to keep Christians from seeing the significance of the body of Messiah in the Land of Israel. We are beginning to see the signs of awakening emerging now. We saw it in the explosion of fasting and prayer that Christians entered into on Israel’s behalf in the weeks between Passover and Pentecost. That is one sign, but our prayers must be that this movement does not get sidetracked by those who can only see God’s love for Israel and have rejected God’s puruposes for the Israeli Messianic believers bringing His spiritual restoration of Israel by faith in Yeshua/Jesus.
Some Christian pastors and ministers have been ahead of the curve in awakening to how key the Israeli body of Messiah is. That means they not only understand God intends the salvation of all Israel, but also they understand why the Israeli Messianic believers are so important to the final worldwide harvest of souls.  Mike Bickle at KC-IHop is one of the first that springs to mind. Chuck Pierce at Glory of Zion. Robert Morris at Gateway Church and pre-Gateway, Morris’ pastor, Olen Griffing at Shady Grove Church.  My friend Jim Melnick with Friends of Russian Jewry and LCEJ-N America.  David McQueen at Beltway Park Church in Abilene, Tx Troy Brewer at Open Door Church in Burleson, Tx, and in California, Myles Weiss has been a forerunner of integrating Messianic services within churches to open Christians to Israel, the Jews and Israeli Messianics.  These are all forerunners in establishing connections not only with Israel and Jewish believers in Jesus, but also the Messianic ministries of Israel.
I’m sure I’ve missed many others, but in the larger picture of Christianity, these forerunners are a rare minority. I do think most of them will agree that right now there is a new awakening occurring among Christian pastors. In the case of Gateway Church, it is an awakening that they are actively nurturing. Case in point, the pastors Zoom meeting I hope you will all listen to (1 hour long) and also encourage your own pastors to listen to. It is from Gateways Center for Israel led by Nic Lesmeister.
Lesmeister first became the head of the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute when the baton was handed off by Wayne and Bonnie Saul Wilks a few years back. In January 2020 MJBI was dissolved in order to combine their efforts and Lesmeister’s leadership into the Gateway Center for Israel. I applaud the work and leadership Pastor Robert Morris, Bonnie and Wayne Wilks, Nic Lesmeister and their team are demonstrating in educating Christians about God’s love and intentions toward Israel like the excellent pastors roundtable video above. If you will follow the link you will find other valuable resource videos like,
Beginner’s Guide to Loving Israel. If you want to learn more about “Gateway’s Priority for Israel” you can watch Pastor Robert Morris explain it in 5 videos.
Truly, these are not just nice things for you to look at, but are great for passing on important information to your own pastor.  In fact, one of the points the pastors talked with Nic Lesmeister about in the featured video above was how to approach your pastor about the importance of Israel, and Israeli ministries. They all brought up ways how NOT to do that! One gracious way to share with your pastor might be just to share this video discussion between Nic and 4 senior pastors about their own paths to awakening to Israel. They also discuss some of the real obstacles pastors consider in opening their churches to an Israel focus
—things like the “weird” stuff like people suddenly start doing, like blowing shofars randomly during the service.  That’s the Israel lover equivalent of the out of control tambourine player.
One of my favorite sections was 36 minutes in when Nic brought up to how to figure out what Messianic Jewish ministries to support. Nic said that the usual metrics pastors use to be good stewards of where they sow financial seed into other ministries has to be tossed out when it comes to Messianic Jewish ministries. It is so true! And I liked hearing what the 4 pastors spoke about as their own metrics for choosing where to plant financial seed.
One of the pastors participating, Preston Morrison, said, that he would encourage all pastors not to consider giving into Messianic Jewish ministries as an investment, but to consider it as a gift. “When I make a gift, I’m not making calls asking, ‘How many are you guys running in your congregation this weekend? If it’s an investment, we check in, get annual reports. But the way we see sowing into Messianic Jewish ministries that it’s a gift to family. That doesn’t mean we are just throwing money around, it just means we see it differently. Because if we just look at metrics, the biggest Messianic congregations in the country are 4-500….When we align and give gifts to the ones He loves, special things happen.”
One thing I noticed was that they all seemed to lean toward investing their financial seed in Messianic Jewish congregations or ministries in their own city or region. As soon as I noticed that, I believe God reminded me of the metric that supersedes all others. It is a prophetic truth that EVEN a great many US Messianic Jewish Congregations and Ministries have yet to grasp:
My metric is this: It is counter-intuitive to what people expect, but honestly just because there is greater freedom for Messianic Jews in the United States, nevertheless, the greatest explosion of Jews coming to faith will originate in Israel first, then ripple out to Jews (and Christians) in the nations. That is a major SPIRITUAL reason to support Israeli Messianic ministries. They are the ones who need our financial support the most and whose ground will be the most fruitful to sow into because as Israeli Jews come to faith, it will trigger spiritual restoration of Jews and Christians throughout the nations."

Too many Christians, when donating to Israel, feel more comfortable just identifying a large Christian ministry that connects in some way with Israel and donate their funds through them. I am not opposed to Christian ministries connected to Israel, but this is something I know for certain, it is ONLY the citizen Body of Messiah in Israel who are bringing the Gospel to Israelis. The Christian organizations, in order to remain in the good graces of Israeli authorities have to promise not to engage in sharing the faith.
If you want to plant seed in the best ministry soil in Israel, it is going to HAVE TO BE in the congregations and Messianic Jewish ministries of Israeli CITIZENS - not just Christian organizations doing good deeds toward Israelis, which is fine, it's just not God's highest desire for Israel because that highest desire is that "ALL Israel shall be saved."
For subscribers to the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries and Arrows from Zion, you have an extra layer of information about good Israeli ministries your pastor and congregation can sow into. Each week you are exposed to what is happening in so many of the congregations, ministries and outreaches. Don’t be shy about passing along the information if your pastor is one of those who is just beginning to learn of the significance of Israel and the salvation of the Jewish people. As salvation continues to increase in Israel, it SHALL send out a ripple effect throughout all the nations of the world.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries
For now the battle with Hamas in Israel has ceased, but everyone knows it is not the last battle. Heaven’s war is still focused on “all Israel shall be saved” and so I am skipping over many prayer letters that came while the battle was still in progress, to share the many that came in afterwards.

From Asher Intrater of Revive Israel an excellent Gaza Conflict Analysis in an age of media flooding anti-Israel propaganda. Be informed so you can set the record straight. Asher writes, “Let me end by saying that in the midst of all these challenges, communities of Arab Christians and Messianic Jews have been praying together in love, unity and peace.  The Arab Christians stand in a place of heroism and faith.  We hold together the hope for a better future.   Please stand with us.” ALSO Peter, Pentecost, and the Prophet Joel (DD: I came to the same conclusions in my article We are in a “Let My People Go” moment only from the prophet Isaiah: Acts 2:16 was the initial fulfillment of the outpouring prophecies. ALSO WATCH the REPLAY of the Shavuot Zoom Prayer meeting

Shani Ferguson writes for Maoz Ministries “Prayer Concerning the Day After” –“While we all breathed a sigh of relief when the ceasefire was called (and we are thrilled to have our whole team back at work), most Israelis are livid that the operation was cut short before a decisive victory could be established. Sure, we took out 60 miles of underground tunnels and 1500 terror targets—and it will take them years to rebuild their terror network—but they are still able to rebuild. Also, the random attacks on the streets haven’t stopped.” She continues, “There’s lots of speculation as to why a ceasefire was called so soon and part of that is that Israel had done about all it could from the air. If they didn’t plan on sending in ground troops, they had pretty much completed their mission. Another factor is that both Israel and Gaza respectively felt a little more of a pinch in their corner when it came to “things to lose” in this conflict.  With the recent approval that allows Palestinians to submit “war crime” cases to the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Israel understood this round would come under heavier—and more ridiculous scrutiny—than previous engagements. Gaza, on the other hand, stood to lose the support of the UAE who threatened that if Hamas didn’t stop firing rockets into Israel it would stop its investment of billions into Gaza’s infrastructure.” Keeping praying. Everyone knows this is not the last battle.

Israel Pochtar continues focus: Restoring What Was Broken - CALL TO ACTION! | Article | Your help and support is stirred and led by God's promise to His people. Did you know that the small Israeli town of Sderot, less than 1 mile from Gaza with around 30 thousand inhabitants, is the city with the largest number of bomb shelters in the world?! And they need them being that close to the terrorists in Gaza! Hamas calls it “the city of the dead” and that’s why when Michael and Dina Beener opened their congregation in Sderot to minister to the PTSD traumatized Sderot citizens, they called the congregation the City of Life. The terrorists – fueled by the demonic hatred baked into the false religion of Islam —speak death over the Israeliis in Sderot, but the Beeners have dedicated themselves to speak God’s life over them. It is just like what God spoke through the prophet Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise to curse you, you shall declare wrong and wicked. This is the inheritance of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD."  See what City of Life is doing in War Trauma Recovery Day also in May 9th Victory Day. Consider becoming a partner

Howard Bass from the Beer Sheva Yeshua’s Inheritance congregation writes about the picture of the 2 loaves waved before God during after the first Sabbath during Passover/Unleavened bread. The biblical holidays are full of God’s prophetic message, and this is no exception, as the new grain offering to God of the 2 loaves represent Jews and Gentiles who have been called out by God “to be saved, and totally "baked together" into the one loaf of the Body of Messiah/Christ,” as Howard puts it citing Lev 23:15-17; 1Cor 10:14-17. He also writes, “God will fill us with the Holy Spirit in a measure needed to overcome in these last days the onslaught of evil that we have yet to experience, and to be up to the commandment and task of striving to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace within the redeemed family of God our Father.”  He writes on current events, “As usual, the latest war between Israel and Hamas has led to an increase in anti-Israel, anti-Jewish irrational rhetoric and policies and acts.  In other words, an escalation in blatant antisemitism, the likes of which have not been so publicly open and allowed in the West -- and the US, in particular -- since WW2 in Europe. This antisemitism is not going to abate, but only intensify.”

Howard also wrote some things that especially touched me, because it is not a general warning to Jews to make aliyah, but a very personal one. If you love someone, you will risk rejection to tell them what will save them. Howard wrote, “I have written my extended family, and to my Jewish friends to seriously consider getting their documentation prepared, should the time come that they might need to immigrate to Israel, which now is not at all in their thinking.” Pray for many to hear the call to “Come back, come back, O Israel.”

Ron Cantor writes that they have received a matching donation of $30,000 for mobile bomb shelters for Ashkelon from Troy Brewer’s Open Door Church in Burleson, Texas.  With $60,000 they can purchase 12 portable bomb shelters for this city that is only 8 miles from the border with Gaza, and also vulnerable to rockets from terrorists. This is not the last time terrorists will target Israeli citizens with rockets, because the devil would love to kill as many Israelis as possible BEFORE the good seed of the Gospel being planted in their hearts by the Israeli Messianic Jewish believers can take hold. This is like Pharaoh trying to kill all the babies so Moses can’t be born, or like Herod killing all the babies so Yeshua couldn’t be born. Spiritually this is exactly what is going on against the whole nation of Israeli Jews and we can make a difference in purchasing these bomb shelters and also in financially supporting the Gospel preaching Messianic Jewish and Christian Arab ministries of Israel.

Avner Boskey clears up some matter in his article In every generation the rise up to destroy us. Like me you have probably heard many mentions of rioting on the streets of many Israeli cities that has been a jarring surprise to Israelis during the battle these past weeks from Hamas. That is a generic reference that in this article, Avner gives a deeper look into the details of exactly why it has been such a jarring and dismaying surprise to Israelis.

Emmaus Way, Arni Klein writes about the many intense pressures we, and they especially in Israel, have gone through for the past year and half. Even in relatively stable region of Israel, Arnie writes that the challenges have been more on an emotional and spiritual level: “I recently realized that living through the last year and a half brought me to a state of communication burnout….This last year was perhaps the second most trying period of my believing life.”  He writes about “Thirty years ago, the only ones in the Church to receive salary were pastors and administrative personnel. The fact that the reality in the Church conflicted with eternal truth plunged me into a depth of struggle.” Why? Because he saw from Hebrews 11:3 that “The spiritual nature of a work or act is determined by the motivation of the heart. We see this understanding manifest in King David, who raised up and supported a company of Levites whose full-time occupation was to minister to the Lord in the Tabernacle.”  I (Donna) didn’t get it at first, but again he is talking about the metrics we use to not only judge the fruitfulness of other ministries, but from my own experience I know we judge our own ministries to a degree by those same metrics – which really are not the Heavenly metric.  I get exactly what Arni is saying, because when the Levite ministries are not respected and honored for the work of the LORD that they do, it shows up in lack of donations that God commanded for the support of the Levites. When the support is lacking, who does not question their own validity?  He wrote much more, but you will need to email Arni and Yonit to get the full letter.  Also Arni teaching on the subject of Shavuot. And Mazal tov to you guys for the return of you son and his family to Israel after 15 years in Australia.
From the leadership team in the HaCarmel congregation, despite the horrible outbreak of violence from Israeli Arab Muslims and extremist Jewish gangs, they are highlighting that “the great majority of Israeli Arabs and Jews are standing together, with many expressions of love, reaching out to each other in various practical ways as well. Peaceful demonstrations are taking place all over the nation, with Jews and Arabs proclaiming unity and standing against the division, hatred, and violence. There are also believers (and non-believers) who have been miraculously saved out of very dangerous circumstances, as Jews and Arabs are rescuing one another during this time. Powerful prayer meetings have been taking place as well, with Messianic Jews and Arab Christians joining together in intercession, launching “arrows of love” (as one Arab sister described our prayers) into the atmosphere of violence in our land.”

Christian Arab pastors  of Immanuel Church in Haifa, Pastor Najeeb & Elisabeth Atteih, have a much longer email about the various outreaches and work, not only there but in other nations. I have to focus this on their courageous stand as Israeli Christian Arabs who are committed to serving all, not based on racial divides, but based on the love of God through Yeshua. Their son, Tino, serves in the IDF with other Israeli Arabs. They operate an outreach – which is in desperate need of financial supporters –called the Christian Soldier’s Center. It is a refuge to all IDF soldiers regardless of race or religion. They write, “Please pray for our country as it is facing very difficult days....It is difficult for our minds to understand and process the seriousness of the violence and hatred that has accumulated on both sides over the years. Now we are reaping its result....This hatred and enmity is caused by a lack of forgiveness for past grievances. We know that the only solution and hope for healing is found in Jesus Christ....There are innocent people who are being killed on both sides.” They also write, “...there is deep fear of our neighboring countries as rumors and myths are circulating of a coming war in the Middle East. We are praying for divine intervention for our country Israel. Please join us in prayer.  Meanwhile they are doing ZOM outreach meetings “with believers from all over including Germany, Armenia, Holland, Iraq, local Israelis, and refugees from Jordan.”

Eric Benson runs the men’s rehab “House of Victory” connected to the HaCarmel congregation. It too – really like ALL the ministries of Israel — really need financial supporters to come alongside them. Eric recently encouraged their students and graduates from House of Victory with Psalm 119:63 that says, “I am a companion of all who fear you.” Eric writes, “We need to be a community that sets itself apart through this wisdom and the way we live and move and have our being in the Messiah.” This was during a “special meeting with the graduates of our program was a time of mutual encouragement for all who were gathered. The presence of the former students imparted strength and hope to the men currently in our home. Their testimony of victory was an inspiration. As we exchanged our struggles and challenges, there was a release of comfort and joy.”  And, “Through the miracle of a changed life, one can boldly declare the words of the apostle Paul, “Follow me, as I follow the Messiah” (1 Cor. 11:1). It was a beautiful night of fellowship. “ To learn more of this fruitful rehab ministry for men, email Eric Benson

Rania Sayegh, a Christian Arab prophetic intercessor in the Nazareth House of Prayer & Exploits shares a vision she had on May 3: “I saw a bride standing in the middle of a field of wheat. She was wearing a bridal white gown and walking in the field. She was charmed by the field and looking around with joy at the harvest. She had a veil over her face and was looking at this vast field of wheat. The bride looked towards the furthest horizon and began to lift her veil.  As she lifted her veil, the wind started to blow over the fields. At first, this wind blew gently but then it formed a whirlwind over the field. I noticed that the whirlwind got stronger and stronger then began to move and carry the wheat almost as though it was harvesting the wheat. The whirlwind was carrying this wheat into the threshing floor. The whirlwind was not only formed of wind but also angelic beings - the Holy Spirit and angels working together!” Pray that their June 11 Arab Deborahs gathering will be possible – the first in person gathering in 18 months. She also wrote about speaking at the northern regional Bat Zion women’s gathering that is put on by Chaya Miarachi and Norma Sarvis to bring the Israeli women together for refreshing and teaching.

Last but not least I was happy to run across this featuring David and Leah Ortiz in Ariel, in allisrael.com Reconstructing Bridges: The uphill battle to restore Arab-Jewish relations in Israel as Pastors – both Jewish and Arab – are scrambling to counter hate sweeping the nation. It als featured Christian Arab pastor Saleem Shalash, pastor of Home of Jesus the King Church in Nazareth. Watch him in this 12-minute video

My final thought 5/27 Ever since I listened to the Gateway conference with Nic Lesmeister & the 4 pastors discussing supporting Israeli ministries - specifically the part about what metrics do pastors use to judge what is a fruitful ministry in Israel, I have been thinking about what metrics I judge my own ministry in advocacy of Israeli ministries by. Now, in their discussion, Lesmeister said that the usual metrics for determining what is good soil to plant into another ministry has to be tossed out when it comes to Messianic Jewish ministries.
As someone who has dealt with the Israeli Messianic Jewish ministries for the past 20 years I get it completely why he said that. Because the way pastors might judge fruitfulness in Christian ministries would rely on things that just do not translate to ANY Messianic Jewish ministry - big numbers of congregational members, or salvation per month - whatever those metrics are, including how self-supporting they are.
For one thing, it is much easier to be self-supporting as a Messianic congregation in the USA than in Israel, but in the USA 80 to 90% of a congregation might be made up of Christians drawn by God to support Messianic ministries. In Israel that is not the case. The ministries are smaller, and not self-supporting, nor can they be self-supporting in reality.
The revelation God started giving me back in 1992 or so is that Paul knew they couldn't be and that's why GOD SENT Paul on a mission to establish a financial support structure among the churches, then to carry them to Jerusalem even though it was clearly going to end in Paul being arrested.
So I have always known that if I wanted to be Israel-oriented in ministry, where many, many Christians have made a darned good living for themselves, that specializing in advocacy of the Israeli Messianic Ministries sure would NOT be the place to bring in the big bucks of support for my ministry.
It is a good thing that the metrics I set for myself in doing this weekly prayer summary for the past 20 years on behalf of those who are laboring in God's vineyard in Israel is not based on my own ministry supporting me. I would never have made it to my 20th year if that was my metric for deciding if what I had committed myself to was fruitful.

May 17, 2021 Joint Statement by the Israeli National Pastors and Elders of Israel

May 17, 2021 Joint Statement by the Israeli National Pastors and Elders of Israel

Released in five languages, Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, and Amharic.

In light of the current situation in which it is expressed in polarization and hatred between Arab and Jewish citizens, we Israeli Jews and Arabs, who share the same faith in Jesus as Messiah and Lord: declare that we are united in brotherly love that is rooted in our faith and based on the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament, as written John 13: 34-35: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.”
Our hearts agonize at the expressions of violence and hatred in our country, where we all live together and we have no other country. Therefore, we call upon all our brothers and sisters who believe in Jesus our Lord, to practically express our unity in Christ Jesus, in love, in mutual help, and steadfastness, confronting the forces of Satan that are full of hatred. All of these since we have been called to be ambassadors of the Lord, and so that the name of God would receive glory and his son Jesus Christ our Lord would be magnified glorified both in our country and in the world.
Our prayers are that the fighting and hostility would cease and that the peace of God prevails in our land and among our neighbors:
For He himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility. (Ephesians 2:14)
That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:21)

With blessings and hope for quieter and better days,

We are in a “Let My People Go” moment | Arrows from Zion 5 18 2021

For the fasting and prayers that have been going on probably worldwide by Christian and Messianic Jewish believers in Yeshua, those who understand God's purposes in restoration of Israel in the end of this season, WE HAVE BEEN SEEKING GOD FOR AN OUTPOURING OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT LIKE WAS GIVEN AT THE TIME OF THE FEAST OF WEEKS IN ACTS 2.

As always, there is a demonic manifestation coming at the same time: an outpouring of rockets upon the Israeli people in their towns.

We are praying for an outpouring of power like Yeshua promised in Luke 24:49 that would be poured out on the disciples He sent to Jerusalem to pray in the Upper Room, in order to witness with power about His salvation. "And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

This outpouring is not a one-time thing - not in the personal sense of our lives and not in a historical-prophetic season. We must have fresh anointing in the seasons of our personal lives, and we also need a fresh anointing in prophetic seasons. We are in the midst of a dawning of a new season beginning, and a prophetic outpouring that again will be poured out in Israel first, then flow throughout the nations.

Yeshua's promise to the disciples in Luke about the outpouring that would take place in Acts 2 Jerusalem, was PART of the Isaiah 32:15-17 prophecy.
There is more to the Isaiah prophecy that was not fulfilled at that time of Acts 2, but I believe refers to the time we are in at this exact moment — the moment of this Shavuot/Pentecost, of the outpouring again on Jerusalem and upon those who are crying out for Israel's salvation today. As it is written fully in Isaiah 32:15:17:
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
And My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Why would the enemy stir up such warfare against Israel at this time? Isn't it obvious? Because the outpouring of power is coming and the only way the enemy can stop it is to try to steal, kill and destroy those who will come into the Kingdom in Israel after this outpouring from God (which will trigger salvation around the world). And the only way we can stop the enemy's fury is with a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in power to stand.
We are in a "Let My people go moment." As Pharaoh's false prophets came out to duplicate the miracles God was performing through Moses as he sought the release of the children of Israel from bondage in Egypt, so now we are all standing in unity with the believers in Israel seeking the outpouring like Acts 2 for the salvation of ALL Israel. This is such a major move of God coming, no wonder the enemies of God are pouring out rockets and inner city violence all of the Land to break the faith of believers that God's miracle is coming, and to try to kill as many Jews as they can before it comes. Keep up your prayers for we are in a truly holy war that we are going to be ultimately victorious in.

I have far more ministry emails in this week than I can possibly include in this Weekly Summary —that is one reason I am trying to get it out early this week. Will try to catch up next week, but I will go with the more pertinent as the situation is so rapidly developing.

Battle with Hamas continues in Israel, but Heaven’s war is still focused on “all Israel shall be saved”
This is like Yeshua sleeping the boat during the midst of a violent storm. Everyone feared for his life, but He knew there is no way He is going to perish because God sent Him to accomplish something on earth. Israel also has a destiny that cannot be thwarted no matter how much Hamas rages.

From Israel Pochtar, Beit Hallel in Ashdod & Voice of Judah Ministries: “we are in the process of evacuating many families from Ashdod with little children to the north of Israel, the Galilee, where they will be kept sheltered and out of harm’s way. Through the help of our partners we've already been able to evacuate 47 individuals to a retreat center in the Galilee, and are hoping to get more people out there. The housing that we're renting in the Galilee (×’ָלִיל) for the evacuees from Ashdod amounts to $126 per person for this entire week. For those who have to stay in Ashdod, we are delivering  Shavuot food hampers for the needy of Ashdod amounting to $25 each.” Help them: HERE. | Also VIDEO teaching Part 5 of Shavuot: Understanding the Power of PentecostPrepare for the Ingathering!  PLUS The Fields are White for Harvest | Chaim and Miriam are an Israeli evangelist couple who stand ready to enter the field full time. Asher Intrater teaches on Shavuot and Pentecost:  “As Paul desired ‘urgently’ to be in Jerusalem on Shavuot-Pentecost (Acts 20:16), so we also dedicate this holy day every year to pray ‘urgently’ for that global, end times’ outpouring.” Dan Juster writes an important piece on Resourcing Israeli Congregations on donating to help Israel “…my conviction is still that the lion’s share of giving is best given to the Messianic Jewish Congregations. Here are some practical reasons.” Also the May addition of the Israel's Restoration magazine with many great articles from Tikkun Ministries in downloadable PDF form.

Recently in the US, my friend Sally Shiff who is an intercessor and a liaison to English-speakers for the HaMaayan congregation in Kfar Saba, wrote about many on her US tour giving her extra money “for those in need” in Israel. Believe me: there are SO many of those. Along with her pastors, the Sperandeo’s, they compiled a list of ways the congregation is helping those in their own congregation and in their community too. If you want to learn more, please contact Sally directly by email.  She writes, “Each penny is accounted for and prayed over.”

Evan Levine, besides being one of Israel’s anointed psalmist/worship leaders, is the head of an innovative humanitarian organization. I believe innovative because it gives a primary focus to the needs of the body of Messiah in Israel, and also to help unbelievers in the communities too. They do this through innovative ways, sometimes directly meeting desperate financial needs, but also by owning and operating low cost dental clinics to help believers and others that dental needs would be beyond their reach. They have also established adoption and foster care offices to help children. This is a proven, high integrity, greatly effective ministry that operates in various cities in Israel. The HaTikva Project. Your donation could really help at this time.

Last week featured what LuAnne Sayag of the HaCarmel congregation wrote about her 5-year old granddaughter startling them with by breaking out singing Israel’s National anthem in Hebrew, and later drawing an Israeli flag, with squares meant to be buildings, then writing “Jerusalem” in Hebrew at the top of the page. This startled them all because she can barely write her own name, much less Jerusalem. So, LuAnne writes about an email response she received from “a dear sister in Germany who wrote that her 4-year-old son had recently told her that he wanted to “build up the city of Jerusalem.“ He spent the rest of the day building "Jerusalem" with all the things he could find. I believe that God is speaking to us through our children about what is on His mind.   The Israeli defensive response to the attacks by Hamas is called "Operation Guardian of the Walls.” What a confirmation! [Some have translated it Watchman of the Walls—same difference!]

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center in the Jordan River area writes that they are opening their doors to families who have been under the worst barrage in the south at the request of the southern emergency command. We as a charity opened our doors to help those families under the heaviest rocket barrages. Let’s comfort them in warm Galilean hospitality. Help us help them:  DONATE

Kerem-El, daughter congregation to the HaCarmel congregation write, “we are in an unprecedented situation here in Israel, and we feel that as a congregation we must rise up in urgent prayer, for the sake of our country, and for the sake of people on both sides, and for the Lord's will to be done in the midst of this troublesome time.  We deeply appreciate your standing with us in prayer at such a critical moment.”

The monthly ministry letter of the Justers: Dan & Patty, Ben & Lorena, Restoration from Zion, details
The US tour Dan & Patty have just begun starting with ministering in Kansas City last weekend at Mike Bickle’s HouseOfPrayer . Dan comments on how Covid has put much strain on life, but it has also opened new doors like the astounding numbers of believers who are being connected via the Tikkun linkup ZOOM meetings with Egyptian David Damian’s Watchmen for the Nations.  Last Passover there were a million people who connected into that Zoom meeting! Unprecidented connection of Christians to the Israeli Messianic believers! He writes, “Toward Jerusalem Council II also is making gains in ways we did not anticipate. Toward Jerusalem Council II seeks the official declaration by all Biblical confession churches on support for a unity with the Messianic Jewish community.”  If you want to hear more of the truly astounding things that are happening mailto:news@restorationfromzion.org

Jackie Santoro’s husband Eddie, who has gone on to be with the Lord, had a special gift of seeing spiritually into current news events. For years he was one of my top 2 favorite sources of news analysis from Israel. Now Jackie has stepped into that place and it appears she is just as anointed as Eddie was to relay the news from Israel with spiritual eyes and great compassion in heart. She continues Zion’s Glory Ministry in Jerusalem, is connected to the Ahavat Yeshua congregation and wrote this penetrating article, Israel Under Fire, you can read online. Avner Boskey has written two more important articles about the current conflicts against Israel and the spiritual reasons behind them. The latest is Watchman on the Walls – War in the Middle East and two days earlier Avner wrote about Islamist Jihad: Thorns, hippies and bones

This year the Netanya congregation headed by Evan and Maala Thomas with the help of colleagues Lev and Ora Guler, has gone through a radical restructuring that has seen them close the facility they had for 21 years. They have set up in a new small center for a central admin office and dedicated prayer room and a 20 sq foot seminar room for training and group meetings. They have established 12 Life-groups are based on location of their members around the central Sharon Valley, and upon language preference. “The Life-groups learn to operate by common agreement under the supervision of the pastors. They choose when to meet and in what homes. They manage the rotation of responsibilities for their meetings that are based on the four elements of Acts 2:42; “the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.” When I wrote to Evan to learn if these steps were undertaken due to finances he wrote back, "The paradigm shift we have enacted in the Beit Asaph community has primarily been philosophical." Evan says Covid restrictions were a catalyst, and "financial considerations are of course considerable and are as a direct result of Covid. We would not have been able to sustain and were given an out just in time." An opportunity arose AFTER Evan had already completed a "blueprint for the reform on paper." Their goal is to be self-sustaining with a year. Not everyone in the congregation is happy with the radical changes, so they ask prayer over their flock and with these changes. As I read Evan’s letter, it struck me that even though the pruning of the congregation was severe, that it multiplied the number of meeting places and also the number of people who are being trained to led. Pray that the sting of pruning be quickly replaced by the joy of multiplication in their harvest.

Dov Bikas, in Beer Sheva where he has a rehab ministry and womens’ refuge for people off the streets of Tel Aviv, men and women who are addicted to drugs and also abused women, writes that the streets of Beer Sheva are empty because of the rockets and riots taking place even in nearby cities. There are “violent clashes inside the country - between Jews and Arabs, including the Bedouins from the villages next to Beersheva. In some cities the police have practically started losing control and people are afraid to go outside.” But, Dov writes that their ministry, “including the outreach in Tel Aviv, continues. We have teams from different parts of Israel coming to serve in Aviv Center, and each team decides whether it is safe enough for them to come on any given day. Please pray for the safety of the street people we minister to and for all our volunteers. Many of them live in Ashkelon which is bombed heavily these days. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless you!”

Gil the lead pastor at the Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv writes about the deadly war they are in the midst of, but he also writes about “A Different Crisis” —that is how they have been informed that their largest donor can no longer afford to support them. “Their $100,000 dollars a year covers our rent. Without this support, Tiferet Yeshua will no longer have a building in which to meet—to worship, pray and bring our Israeli friends who need Yeshua. Some of our other donors have already stepped up. But it is not enough. We are trusting God for $5,000 a month in new support.” It is precisely at such times when human beings are able to see their great need for our Father in Heaven to be in their lives. This is a congregation committed to bringing the Good News of Messiah Yeshua to their people, but they need our help to do it. They write, “The fact of the matter is, if we don’t see a miracle, we will lose our building—the one we just renovated with your help—in just four months.” Who will step up to help?

The HaMaayan congregation has sent out their monthly prayer letter, much about the current war conditions (“The impact of this uprising may have long-lasting affect on all Israel citizens. Fear, shock and trauma and bitterness are quickly trying to cover the Land. This is especially hard on the children who experience from early age this painful reality. We are trusting in the Lord! “  These are their prayer points: “Pray for wisdom and protection for our government. As of this writing, the government is making final decisions as to the next steps in order to protect our citizens | Pray for the soldiers who are waiting near Gaza and those reservists called up for safety, wisdom, and protection. (Psalm 91) | Pray against shock and trauma for the citizens of Israel (from all cultures) as well as protection from the rockets and riots | Pray for the civilians' residents of Gaza, that are also being oppressed by the Hamas regime. Pray for the remnant believers in Gaza for strength & protection. Pray for the salvation of the Arab people | Pray for the spirit of hatred and anger to cease, and the Peace of God (Shalom) to return to Israel | Pray against the negative clamor of the Nations thus further instigating terror | Pray for the body of Yeshua to unite together to be one voice glorifying God, entering our calling of reconciliation | Pray for the congregations in the Land, not be led by fear, but discern the needs of the people.”

Lastly from Avi and Chaya Mizrachi in Tel Aviv at the Adonai Roi congregation  and Dugit Messianic Outreach Center, they are asking for prayers “for our friends who have been hit the hardest in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot and south of Tel Aviv. Young children are especially confused and upset about the situation.” They also write, “Your faithful prayers are a treasure to us in such a time as this. Please watch this quick video update from Avi for more details about how we are responding through prayer in Israel.”

Miracle Report from Israel Today | May 16: Home of Messianic Pastor Suffers Direct Rocket Hit | David Lazarus for Israel Today speaks to Beersheba pastor’s wife after family “miraculously” saved from Hamas rocket strike | At 3 AM Kyla, mother of 4 children and wife of Pastor Javier Montenegro, told her husband after hearing rocket fire that they should go sleep in the bomb shelter. Kyla had stomach surgery last week and it was too hard on her to be running to the shelter. Three hours later their house took a direct hit from a rocket that crashed into the solar water heater on the roof. The explosion did not cause a fire due to hitting the water heater, releasing water on the roof and the room below. Kyla said, "Thank God we were asleep in the shelter when the rocket hit.”
Israel Today writes:   "Police and emergency services arrived within minutes and were surprised to see that the rocket was a direct hit on the home and yet no one was injured. Even the house only sustained minimal damage."
The Montenegro family immigrated in 2003 from Argentina and lead a Spanish-speaking congregation in Beer Sheva. Kyla said, "Since the COVID pandemic we had to close down our meeting hall and moved all the equipment to our porch. Now we have no home to live in and no meeting place for our congregation.” But God certainly arranged a lot of "coincidences" to spare their lives and most of their home and belongings! Praise the LORD! This is what happens when people are praying.

A Different Kind of Crisis
by Donna Diorio

There is an explosion of intercessory prayer being made for Israel right now. We are hearing about it from many different corners of Christianity. The rockets and riots from the terrorists in Gaza and those who have been indoctrinated by their hate inside Israel have put a sharp point on the prayers of the saints for Israel. This intersection of prayers and violence is awakening the Church to pray for Israel.
But there is a different kind of crisis going on that a great many of those who know to pray against the physical warfare do not yet understand is the urgent need of the body in Israel for financial relief so its ministries can minister the light of Yeshua to their communities.

Covid restrictions in Israel have already put many of the congregations and ministries, including the Messianic run humanitarian outreaches into extreme financial stress. With the launch of war falling on the heels of Israel lifting Covid restrictions, there are many who are facing losing their facilities and other ministers are going with any income to support their families. There are things every ministry needs to continue ministering to the people. Israel is a special case and the apostle Paul knew that the body of Messiah would not be able to raise their own full ministry finances without the help of the churches.

That is why Paul wrote to the church in Rome, “Romans 15:26-27 “For it has pleased them of the Macedonia and Achaia churches to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. It has pleased them truly; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in material things.”

As the Church is learning to pray for Israel, we must also learn of our duty to come alongside the Messianic Israelis with financial aid. One of the most powerful things Paul did, in complete surrender of his life to God's purposes, was his last trip to Jerusalem to carry the financial contributions he had the churches under his oversight collect over at least a 3-year period. As he made the trip, with a representative from each church accompanying him to witness what was done, prophets came out all along the journey to tell Paul he was going to be chained and imprisoned if he continued his mission. He believed them and was emotional about it, but he said he was prepared to take it all the way regardless. Even to this day there are second guessers who believe "he blew it" not heeding the prophetic word, but that is because they don't know that the prophetic words given were not meant by God to stop Paul, they were only meant to make sure Paul understood the full cost to himself to carry his mission to the full. This is the apostle that said,

Romans 9:1-5 I speak the truth in Christ; I am not lying, as confirmed by my conscience in the Holy Spirit. I have deep sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my own flesh and blood, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory and the covenants; theirs the giving of the law, the temple worship, and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise!

Paul willingly laid down his life to establish the fund of financial relief from the churches to the use of the Messianic leaders in Israel. He did not carry those funds to the Israeli government, the Sanhedrin, the Temple upkeep. No! Paul established the churches in giving towards the ministry needs of the body of Messiah in Israel. It went on for an unknown number of years but had ceased before 318 AD.

I believe that precedent Paul established is what was so important to God not only for then but for NOW. God did not let Paul make himself accursed from the faith, but He did allow Paul to fully sacrifice freedom and ultimately his life, to model for the Gentile churches what the Israeli Messianic believers needed to flourish under harsh circumstances - in the first century and in THIS season.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

She is home now with new meds but still needs our prayers | Pray for Carolyn Hyde whose left hand is so pained she can no longer play guitar and it is also sometimes painful to play piano | the Silvers: David's knees and Josie's back pain | Rachel Netanel  is still recovering from a broken ankle. She asks for healing & for the pain to subside. Her ankles were weak already, so the process is slow and painful| A prayer request for Naomi, for a dear family that is a part of Israel Pochtar's pastoral team, who was diagnosed with colon cancer. "Despite what this battle entails, we are confident in God’s unfailing Word and promises." Read in her own words| Please continue to pray for Jacob Damkani for the LORD's mercies over Jacob and his dear wife, Elisheva | Olga Bikas is slowly recovering from a broken ankle (after her back surgery!) The recovery process is slow, but, praise the Lord, she is getting better and stronger, can already walk for 20 minutes and do some physical The recovery process is slow, but, praise the Lord, she is getting better and stronger, can already walk for 20 minutes and do some physical exercises. Please keep praying for Olga

Uzza: A Cautionary Tale | Arrows from Zion | 5 7 2021

Levites Carrying the Ark, a bas relief at the Auch Cathedral in France
God struck Uzza dead when he reached out to steady the Ark. It is something that has puzzled many over the years: Why would God do such a thing to someone so well intentioned?

There is a Right Way & a Wrong Way
to Restore the Ark to Jerusalem

Uzza: A Cautionary Tale
by Donna Diorio

Let Uzza be a cautionary tale for our good intentions, because God has His own way to restore the Ark to Jerusalem in order to restore true worship back to Jerusalem, and we must not assume we can do it without following His way.
The Ark is symbolic of Yeshua, our covering of blood over the Mercy Seat, so we are talking about our attempts to restore the true worship to Jerusalem, meaning restoring faith in Yeshua to Jerusalem. God has a way to do that and we should not act in presumption we Christians are His "sent ones" to do that.

1 Chronicles 13 and 2 Samuel 6 tells the story of how Uzza was struck - he had good intentions to steady the cart that was carrying the Ark, but he reached out and touched what God said could only be touched by Levites.
Can you hear me: I tell you the Levites are symbolic for the Israeli Messianic Jews of our day. Restoring the faith of Yeshua to Israel is already prescribed by God for them, not for the non-Jewish from the nations. God has put the mandate for restoring faith in Yeshua on the shoulders of Levites, the Jewish believers in Israel who are carrying the true worship in the Land.
Christians can share their faith with Jews anywhere in the world, but to hold the idea that restoring the faith of Yeshua in Israel is a Christian call, this is not who God has given that mandate. We Christians SHOULD be helpers, but we cannot be like UZZA reaching out to touch the restoration in a way that God has not sanctioned, because it could lead to death of the good intentioned, even as it led to death in Uzza's case.
The Hebrew scriptures were written for our example and we should heed what happened to Uzza when he did not follow God's instructions that only the Levites could touch the Ark - restoring Yeshua to Jerusalem. We can help them, but we cannot tell them to stand aside, as we try to do it instead of them.

You need to know how many Israeli congregations and ministries are severely struggling financially right now after all the Covid restrictions in Israel over the past year, the inability to travel to raise donations in the nations and generally the lack of material support from the Christians who love Israel. PLEASE if you can bless an Israeli ministry at this time, especially the smaller ones who are really struggling, please donate what you can to their relief. It is our duty, the apostle to the Gentiles said in

Romans 15:26-27  “For (the churches in) Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Christians in the nations have shared in the Israeli Messianic Jews’ spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings.”

Christians are not sharing in the spiritual blessings of unsaved Jews in Israel,
we are sharing spiritual blessings with the SAVED remnant in Israel.

One of the callings of the Levites was leading the worship,
see the timely announcement in the first ministry letter about the restoration of the Israeli Levites

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

With the premier of a special concert on Shavuot/Pentecost, Kobi and Shani Ferguson of Maoz are launching a new vision in the Friends of the Fellowship of Artists.  What is the Fellowship of Artists? It is their vision for  the restoration of Israel’s Levitical worshippers and the direct connection this would have with Israel’s salvation. As Kobi and Shani point out, “Everything the world knows about worshiping the one true God originated in Israel. With that kind of heritage, Israel is surely a place believers around the world should yearn to explore the depths of worship we all are longing for.”  To be a friend of the Fellowship of Artists would mean your donations could help, for “The Levites of old had a call to worship; but only when the community around them fulfilled their role in supporting the call, were the Levites able to carry out their lifework.” Watch for details to come on how to access the concert.
Before I even read this ministry letter this week, God also spoke to my heart about how the Israeli ministries, from the worshippers to the pastors, the outreach ministers, the media ministers – print and broadcast – they are all operating in the role of God’s Levites of Israel today.  And the need of the international Christians to support them is exactly like the in the ancient times when the other 11 tribes of Israel supported the Levities who were dedicated to the ministry.  This is happening today, my friends, if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Guy Cohen in Acco writes about his expectancy since he became a believer years ago in his birthplace and where he now pastors the Harvest of Asher congregation, of a community like the first century we read about in Acts 2. “A community where the tie is spiritual and not soulish; there is a lifestyle of giving and investing in or building one another. A lifestyle of being in partnership one with the other.” He writes, “We are the pioneers that God wants to use to build His community on earth as it is in heaven.” As in Yeshua’s prayer of Matthew 6:10 (Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven) he envisions this as “when each member of the congregation stops looking at himself and instead looks to Yeshua and to the father heart of God, we will achieve a unity that tears down all worldly systems and builds a community of breakthrough.” He asks, “How is this possible? The desire to invest in the lives of others will come from within.”

Israel Pochtar sends video messages on Shavuot: the Power of Pentecost Part 1| Part 2 | Part 3. Also two devotional articles from Vicky Pochtar: Who Am I? Finding Your Identity | and Wisdom that Comes from Accountability and one from husband Israel The Desert’s Silence. Also two videos:  Preparing for Israel's Harvest | Shavuot: The Harvest Awaits: Learn how you can partner with us in bringing the Gospel to the people of Israel and share in the harvest and blessing of God

Tree of Life ministries’ Ariel Hyde is reporting a miracle breakthrough they had with Big Tech censorship severely limiting their Israeli Pro-Life and Gospel Campaign. Despite experts saying it was “impossible” the suppression of their video on two social media platforms were removed and “the video has reached over 1.6 million views in just one month! (There are only around 5 million YouTube users per month in Israel in general.) We've had a massive increase of visits to our evangelistic websites and social media pages. Thousands of Israelis have contacted us. Of course, many are aggressively against us and our message. But we were surprised to see how many positive responses there have been.” They sent some beautiful individual testimonies of those who were touched by God viewing the video, and the Tree of Life team is praising God for answers to our prayer.  “Please watch or read the story and help spread this news of God’s incredible work by sharing this video from our Youtube, and on all the new social media outlets!”  This is such an important spiritual breakthrough because abortion is completely acceptable in Israeli society. These ministers of Yeshua are making a mighty difference proclaiming the truth in a compassionate way.

Rachel Netanel is still mending from a broken ankle, saying the process is so slow and painful. She writes of being in physiotherapy and says, “I have very small bones and therefore, my ankles were weak even before the fall. I am forcing myself to walk with a walker and sometimes with crutches but the progress does seem slow. God is teaching me many things through this ordeal and I am grateful that I am on the mend.” Along with husband Gilad they are still rolling out wonderful hospitality to people in Ein Kerem at their home, and a home in Zukim in the south where they were also led to minister their hospitality and testimony of Yeshua to friends and neighbors there. Many, many come and are blessed. BUT they were hit with another major challenge to overcome when someone took a hacksaw to the exhaust system and catalytic converter of their car. “Now the car is repaired but it is completely unreliable and the damage seems severe. We will need to buy a new car so please pray for God’s provision for this.” Theft of catalytic converters is rampant in Texas too because it is a quick steal that brings big bucks. Rachel has been known as one of the most anointed evangelists in Israel. It is important that her ankle be healed and fortified, and that they are able to replace their vehicle to minister in all the places God has sent them. Please consider making a donation toward this ministry (directly at PayPal to beitnetanel@gmail.com or thru Tikkun).

From the Glory of Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv (Tiferet Yeshua) Gil Afriat sends an article by Moti Cohen, director of their Feed Tel Aviv outreach ministry Feed Tel Aviv: Surprising Encounters that Keep us Going and an article Israel's Green Passport - Crossing a Red Line.
[DD: They did not include this in their email but I learned this week, that like many congregations in Israel, the Tiferet Yeshua congregation is currently under an extremely tight financial stress. This is the thing, dear subscribers:  Most of the congregations and ministries barely ever mention this stuff, or when their pastors have to work secular jobs to keep the ministries afloat.
That is the sacrificial level of commitment and reality of ministry life in Israel that I discovered 20 years ago when I started this mailing list. It improved somewhat over the years, but now the post-Covid world has brought the lack of resources back into a number one priority prayer request for all of the Israeli ministries.  It is not the way of Messianic Jews to continually be ‘begging for donations’ like we are used to seeing in the US from Christians ministries in far better financial situations. This is just the reality of ministry life in Israel and it is no dishonor to the Israeli ministries because WE in the churches are supposed to be helping them materially, financially! The apostle Paul called it our duty, our obligation to them.  Please, if you can give a donation today, please do.  Help this Hebrew-speaking congregation in Tel Aviv taking some of the financial burden off their back.]

From Revive Israel’s Asher Intrater, some honest words about the terrible disaster last week at Meron that left 44 ultraOrthodox dead and dozens wounded. This may shock some, but Asher writes, “On a spiritual level, the event was promoting a false Messiah, with a promise of false salvation, both temporally and eternally.  Those involved in the disaster were part of an extremist cult.. . . So, yes, the disaster demands deep-felt, heart-wrenching prayer, both in compassion for the victims, but also in abhorrence of the cultic deception surrounding the event.” Revive also sends his article The Second Coming Battle, last week’s worship & message by Asher in the Global Broadcast, and an appeal to Partner With Us from this ministry which is preparing not only for a spiritual harvest in Israel, but for the unifying “one new man” connections among international Christians.

City of Life in Sderot has come under a new barrage of rocket fire from Gaza, but they continue to reach out with much need practical and emotional help to the citizens there. Reaching Families in Difficulties with the Love of Messiah. These are needy, poor families and Michael and Dina Beener are dedicated to ministering to them. They send a”new video you can learn more about our calling

From Chuck Cohen at Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem, Friday Prayer Points 4/30/2021   and Friday Prayer Points 5/7/2021 and Watchmen from Jerusalem teaching: God Challenges the Church Part 2. The goal of the teaching is to challenge believers in that they cannot really say they believe in the New Testament if they do not also believe in what the New Testament says about the Old Testament - which is that it is still the Word of God today. May your trust in God's complete Word grow even more as you read this.

Messiah’s Mandate’s Ron Cantor writes about his week of taping for Shelanu and GOD TV before headed back to Israel which he sends news on Hamas and their surrogates have stepped up the rocket attacks against Israel. The government is bordering on crazyland! ). And now we learn that John Kerry has been sharing secrets about Israel with Iran!  But the good news is “Shelanu TV is now getting 20,000 and 30,000 views, with 50% coming from inside of Israel!... These are Hebrew testimonies, music videos and our new travel show. You are doing this through your support. Thank you! Israelis are hearing the gospel!” To donate

Chaim Malespin who is the director of the Aliyah Return Center, ARC for short, sends a testimony of a family with young kids. “Watch as they tell their story of how your generosity in these times, helped them get settled in Israel and make it through the great struggles which have intensified, during this pandemic.” Chaim also writes, Don't forget to mark your calendars for the next upcoming "VIRTUAL" event: Shavuot (Pentecost)! We invite you to Join Us for this exclusive online event as we enter into worship and prayer on the sea of Galilee. The event will take place May 16th, 2021 at 7pm Israel time on Facebook Live

Gilad Rosinger of Radiant Israel invites you to join along in the Yeshua Fast leading up to Shavuot / Pentecost, and for their our weekly fellowship, Global Shabbat, as we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and provide peace for us all together.
Join us this Saturday, May 1 at 10:30am PST / 12:30pm CST / 1:30pm EST / 8:30pm Israel time. It will be streamed LIVE on both our Facebook and Youtube pages. More details to follow. Click Here to hear Gilad share about this special event and how you can become involved.

My friend in the Carmel area, Ronit Bender, is an Israeli who spreads Sonshine whever she goes and this is how she looks at the commission of her life: to spread the love of Yeshua to each one she meets and let them see what having him in your life can look like. It is a way of being towards strangers and even people she has known since her youth in Israel that attract them to her even if they say they are not interested in hearing about Yeshua. There is no separating the Yeshua out of Ronit, little do they know! This month Ronit sent several stories of people she has ministered to as she went about her daily affairs. This is not like in the US where you just invite someone to your church, the believers in Israel are taking their own lives to the streets and it is producing fruit. To learn more, write me for Ronit’s email address. You can also listen to this interview done in 2009 in the UK with Ronit’s husband who went on to the Lord a few years ago.  She writes that a friend sent her the link and “My heart rejoiced to hear Tom’s voice again. I pray it will minister to you. “

Rania Sayegh, the Christian Arab prophetic intercessor who heads the Nazareth House of Prayer and Exploits is also doing a 21-days Days of Prayer & Fasting for the release of an outpouring on the Holy Spirit during Pentecost  (May4-24). One the eve of Passover she had a vision of many angels over the nations including a huge Angel of Awakening over Israel. “I saw a huge angel over Israel who was holding a big trumpet. As he began to blow the trumpet, the sound of the trumpet began to release the winds of the spirit from the 4 corners of the land and a thick layer of dust was removed from the land and the nations. The Lord explained to me that this angel is an angel of awakening. The dust was to remove the spirit of death that is trying to cover the nations and set His people free in this Passover season. It is God’s decree over His people, “Let my people go!”
She writes: Please pray with us | Pray for the salvation of all of Israel! There is a lot of great news from the Kerem-El, God’s Vineyard congregation, a plant of the HaCarmel congregation (also where Ronit Bender also attends), from being able to get to meet together again In person, to a special Zoom call they just did with people interested in their ministry. This was an innovative way to connect with supporters since travel has been off the table for so long. The Israeli ministries really depend on the donations of believers around the world – they sure cannot possibly raise enough to do all the ministry that God has put in their hearts in Israel. Come on! Think about it!
But my favorite thing is the truly innovative thing they are doing to provide the kind of fathering that every boy needs in their Fatherless Boys Bar Mitzva Trip. “Fathers play a central role in such initiation (as a Bar Mitzva), yet there are three young men In Kerem-El who do not have fathers in their lives to exemplify and teach them what it means to be a man, and specifically a Godly man. Pastor Jonathan took these three young men under his wing to be a father figure to them. As part of this vision, he planned special initiation assignments that the young men needed to accomplish, each led by men from Kerem-El. The assignments included changing a wheel on a car, changing lightbulbs, handling and firing a gun (airsoft), making a bbq and cooking meat, giving CPR and first aid and more. Upon completion of these assignments they all went for a Bar Mitzva trip to Israel's most southern resort city, Eilat, where they snorkeled, did water sports, hiked and much more.
Out of this need and initiative the Lord is birthing a national vision for fatherless children who come of age. We've begun dialoguing with several other ministries in Israel to provide an initiation program for fatherless children and we hope to see this develop further in the coming months. Please keep this initiative in your prayer.” For more news from Kerem-El, you can get monthly prayer letters from the direct by emailing.

Fatherless boys is a crisis issue in the US too. What would happen if this vision for stepping up took off in a big way?
