I have an intense back log of emails since my last Weekly Summary & Arrows from Zion —clearly will not be able to completely catch up with this one mailing but will continue working toward that in future mailings.Thank you to all our well wishers & for the many prayers as my husband went thru the spinal surgery. Now into his second week of recovery he is showing great signs of bouncing back. We'll see his surgeon on Thursday for follow up & expect all to be well. Please continue to pray for our financial catch up & my husband's efforts to transition his business in a less personally demanding direction.

The national flower of Israel, Kaloniot, are Red Anemones that grow in the Negev in Israel. 

These near Gaza will not bloom next year due to fires set from kites rigged to be firestarters.

Priority Prayer Focus

RED ALERT! 5/29 Sally Shiff with the Kfar Saba HaMaayan congregation sends out this red alert after 166 rockets have been launched at Israel from Gaza in 22 hours Tuesday. We understand from reports since that it is Islamic Jihad that launched the barrages and that the IDF have struck them back hard. It is also said that Iran could be behind the attacks attempted to take eyes off of developments against its positions in Syria. The Israelis also bombed out a terrorist tunnel Hamas built from Egypt to Israel extending some 984 yards into Israel. Sally notes the common Hamas tactic to use the homes of Christian Arabs as launch points, so when the IDF strikes back, homes of Christians are destroyed. This has been a tactic for as long as I can remember and in the intifadas of the past, Jerusalem and many other locations were drained of Christian Arabs who fled to other countries, permanently immigrating to escape be caught in the middle. 

Pray for our Christian Arab family members as well as for all Israel to be under God's protection. The barrage against Israel is coming not just from these rockets, but also from kites rigged to set fires in Israel (photo of area that has now been burnt out & will not bloom again next year with Kaloniot flowers), gunshots, even a flotilla of boats attempting to land on Israeli beaches. The frenzy of Ramadan which started on May 15th and goes through June 14th is on. Sally encourages the Intercessors to rise up and take authority in the spirit. For wisdom  for the Government and the Military as they deal with this current situation. Safety for the cities around Gaza as well as the Kibbutziim (villages). Pray against  the spirit of fear and shock and trauma that can come from this as well as the news. For the TRUTH to come out from the news all over the world.

First up is an earlier prayer alert from Sally Shiff from the HaMaayan (Wellspring) congregation about the potential for war they were seeing on May 18th. The reason I wanted to share this also is because of what they did in advance: "... we took to prayer with our Arab brothers and sisters and asked God for His protection. On Saturday night, I prayed with a national group of Israelis for the upcoming week. We prayed against any terror activities, and not one Israeli to be hurt. A canopy of protection around the whole nation, and God answered. ...What is happening down in Gaza is sad, truly sad. A whole generation wasted listening to the lies of a regime. Mothers and fathers sending their children to be killed when there is truly no need."

Could it be any clearer that what we are praying for is for those God has given eyes to see, to see NOW. There are surely many who will never see, but we are at an intense crossroads for all the nations of the world - even for all those who are called by the name of the LORD - it is time for the scales to fall from their eyes to see that Israel is still firmly in the heart and plans of God.  

In Arad, the Hebrew congregation Hasdey Yeshua is focused on sharing Yeshua's "living water" that  flows from their hearts. They have a great desire to reach the Bedouin nearby - especially the women and children including the teenage boys who are at the age that they become radicalized by Islam. Pray for them as they give a cup of water to these who are so thirsty for a joy in life.  They continue to raise funds for a permanent meeting place, having met in many places for many years including the open air of the nearby forest for many years.  While some ministers in America are making appeals to raise funds for their 4th private jet, many in Israel are making humble appeal for the basic needs of ministry equipping to be met. It should be a no-brainer to figure out where to plant your donation seeds.

Israel Pochtar is among those who is continually raising funds for ministry outreach - and this brother is using those funds with great spiritual wisdom to reach the huge population of Russian Jewish immigrants in Israel. This is such a ripe harvest field and we have marveled continually at how many ways the Beit Hallel congregations under Pochtar press in to reach the unsaved in their community. Howard Bass of the Beer Sheva congregation , Yeshua's Inheritance, writes about two young Israelis who came to faith who could not be more different: one from a religious background and one from a secular background yet both professed their faith in Yeshua as their Messiah.  The congregation rejoiced with them in baptism. Among other news of the congregation, joining in with the annual Shavuot celebration with believers from all over Israel; a work team that gathered to clean up the biblical site of Tamar after the recent floods caused much damage; and a message from Evan Bass at last Friday's Shabbat service on the subject of pornography. Howard calls it a "scourage" on the whole body of believers "including in Israel" which it is. There is really little teaching these days on how to keep one's self pure. It is encouraging to see several ministries in Israel take the initiative of this subject that is so destructive to people and can begin to take hold at a very young age.

Along with an appeal for prayer over the rising anti-Semitism worldwide and the conflicts with Israel's, the Maoz ministries of Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram raise an appeal for prayer for the terrible state of drought in Israel over the past 5 years. "The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) water level is about to drop to the black line—the line of a possible no-return, when its waters may become salty, wiping out Israel's largest drinking water source.  And although Israel has several state-of-the-art desalination plants, right now they only produce about 25% of the water Israelis are using. ... As you boldly come before the Throne of our Lord this week, we ask that you remember us in your prayers:  For the Lord to end this drought.  Pray for the Lord to open up the heavens and give us the much-needed rain. It's not the rain  season, and right now there's not a cloud in the sky, but nothing is too difficult for Him! "    

Eric Benson of the House of Victory in Carmel is pondering the fulfillment of God's promises to Israel, first in the question the prophet Isaiah asked, Can a nation be born in one day? We know that yes, Israel was re-born on May 14, 1948 as a fulfillment of this prophecy, but Eric looks further to the greater promise of God that Israel would be a "light unto the world." As a "start-up nation" Israel is "leading the world in a variety of fields that range from science, technology, medicine, agriculture, military and so many other areas." But Benson knows, this is not the fulness of the Israel that the Lord spoke to Moses: "the destiny of this land was meant to be something greater. It is written in Exodus 19:6, "'And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’"

One might be tempted to think that a ministry that worked with the addicts on the streets, those people in society who have lost everything to their own addictions, might think it would be enough just to see people returned to "normal" but that is not the vision given to the head of this rehab ministry in Haifa. To see addicts given new life in the Messiah, transformed and sharing the Great Light that has come into their lives, this is the vision that Eric Benson is talking about, seeing these Israeli become a "kingdom of priests and a holy nation." Please pray for the House of Victory and for the lives of addicts all over Israel to be transformed by Israel's Messiah.

Avi Tekel of the Tents of Mercy congregation in Kiryat Yam writes, "It is with great thankfulness I can share with you that God is doing amazing things in our midst; things that He said would happen are on the horizon! We have been both blessed and privileged to have had several teams of brothers and sisters from church families around the world come serve with us during the last 4-6 weeks. Each of these teams in some shape or form have served the city and local communities - quite literally giving up half or even a whole day to be available to help in whatever way they were needed. I have seen repeatedly with my own eyes the awe, the gratitude and the wonderment from these staff and indeed the city officials & deputy Mayor himself, as they observed the attitude and humility with which they were served."

This service together - Jew and Gentile in Messiah - is such a great testimony as-yet unsaved Israelis. As Christians we need to reassess our expectations regarding what genuine reaction we are causing in Israelis. We cannot ignore the Jewish believers in Jesus in order to bless Israel and honestly expect the unsaved Israelis to be made "jealous" of our faith. If we care so little about the Israeli Jewish believers, how is that going to appeal to the unsaved Jew to follow our faith? That is just more of what they have always seen from Christianity through the ages. Whereas when we love the Israeli believers, and work with them to help their own people - now we are getting into the area that creates a jealousy for what we and the Israeli Messianic believers have together in Messiah.

Martin and Norma Sarvis in Jerusalem share about "A Season of Decision Regarding Jerusalem" and writing about the official ceremony marking the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem,  "We believe that in this event we have witnessed a sacred “passing through” a gateway in the purposes of God for nations during this season.  With the US taking the initiative, that gateway is clarified for other nations, and the blessings of the redemptive purposes of God within those nations may be activated." Martin notes that in one week nations from all three of the Americas (North, Central and South America) came through the gates by moving their embassies to Jerusalem! Praise the Lord! We are dealing with a significant problem in theology.  Much of the theology is being given to believers by preaching media stars and church leaders who I would call low information preachers.  They may have charisma and can hold a crowd well, but they say outlandish and heretical things.  One of the most glaring examples of this are the statements by some claiming that the “Old Testament” no longer applies to us or is irrelevant for New Covenant Christians.

Arrows from Zion 5/9/2018

Please Note :  Next week there will likely not be a new Arrows from Zion or Weekly Summary of the Prayer Requests from Israel Ministries.  Bad timing, I know. Iran is threatening revenge on Israel out of Syria and the opening ceremonies of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem on May 14th. Then on the 16th, Ramadan begins.

But on Wednesday (5/16) my husband Tony is scheduled for surgery on his neck for severe spinal stenosis. My first priority is to him. You all know to be in prayer for Israel.  If I can file the Arrows & Summary, I will but there is much involved in his surgery. At 75 he is still the head of a cabinet business of laborers who cannot function without lots of supervision.

I am asking for prayers to be made for Tony. This is the second spinal stenosis surgery in the past few years. The first was much more intense in the lumbar, but this is intense for its own reasons:  following after his 2nd heart attack in February, the weekend before he was scheduled for this critical neck/spinal surgery. I trust God will keep His hand on Tony, but do covet your prayers for no complications or post-op issues of any kind. Also that his business will stay on track as we need the income for living.

As soon as I can get back to work on the prayer request list, I surely will. But for instance, I know that the first two weeks of post-op I will have to do all the driving that my husband needs to keep his business up because of the pain medications he will be on. Priority Prayer Focus

Before the Feasting & Fun came the Fasting & Fervent Intercession  | Just because the Purim holiday has past doesn't mean it is not time to call for a Purim-type fast in the same sense of urgency. There are plenty of reasons to call for fervent intercession on behalf of the Israeli ministries and for Israel right now. Whatever is in the arsenal of the powers of hell to come against God's plans for the salvation of Israel are in play right now.

Obviously, the threats of Iran to take revenge against Israel for striking its base in Syria, as well as for exposing the double-dealing of Iran's nuclear ambitions by the bold Israeli intelligence raid that took Iran's secret nuclear ambition files right out from under their noses. Of course they are furious and calling for revenge strikes - but notice they do not want all out direct war because they would lose! What we have to be troubled about is the loss of innocent lives in proxy strikes on Israel for Iran by Syrian militias supported by Iran.  Too many believers say, "God is in control and will protect Israel." Yes, He will, but IN PARTNERSHIP with our petitions to Him. Save lives, pray now over these threats against Israel, especially in the north.

That is not all that the enemy is throwing at Israel right now. There is the ongoing Gaza border conflict. They have promised to keep it up all the way to the US Embassy opening. Israel is thwarting terror attacks. Much prayer should surround this ceremony.

There is also an emergency need among the Israeli ministries for financial donations. As far as I can tell, this is affecting all the ministries. There is no explanation as to why there is lack of donations, but it is real and it affects the ability to do the ministry of the Gospel in Israel.  2 Corinthians 8:12 says, "For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. It is not our intention that others may be relieved while you are burdened, but that there may be equality.…"

Your prayers for Israeli ministries and for God to spare the lives of those in harm's way from the fiery darts & missiles of the enemy are urgently needed now.  Also in this Priority Prayer Focus is request for prayer over the unity of the body of Messiah in Israel.

Salvation is happening now in Israel. In fact a new study just released from One For Israel finds that from the 1948 statistic of 23 Jews living in Israel who believed in Yeshua as Messiah, in 2017 the "conservative estimate is now 30,000."

"The growth has not been linear, but exponential. Similarly, attitudes towards Messianic believers have also come a long way. Israeli Jews used to be mortified at the thought of a Jew who believed in Yeshua, but today almost everyone we talk to have heard of this growing movement of people." 

In fact, "22,000 Israelis search every month for 'Yeshua' or 'Messiah' in Hebrew, and a lot of effort is put into making sure they reach the answers from a Messianic point of view. Testimonies of Jewish believers and answers to common objections to faith can all be easily found as soon as someone starts searching for the Messiah. This has proved wildly successful. There are barely seven million Jewish people in Israel, yet our Hebrew language videos have been viewed more than fourteen million times!"  For more interesting insight into the salvation of Israel, see Findings Of New Research On The Messianic Movement In Israel

Case in point: Ido Receives Healing at Tiferet Yeshua. This is story of how God healed a man in Israel because his friend who had just been baptized by the Tel Aviv congregation Tiferet Yeshua, told them he was searching. First the sign of healing, followed by a revelation that God loved him. Maybe this was the 30,001st person in Israel to believe in Yeshua. The story is told by senior pastor Gil Afriat in the April issue of Maoz Israel Report, Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram's monthly newsletter online.

There was also a weekly prayer letter from Maoz covering the delicate situation surrounding the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. The enemies of God are none too happy about it. These are shared in the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries, if you happen to be subscribed to that list too.  One of the inclusions in the Maoz weekly letter:  "Today most of our office staff in Israel attended a first-of-its-kind conference for Messianic non-profit organizations in the Land.  We had an amazing opportunity to learn from people who know their craft, and Shira was also one of the featured speakers.  Please pray for us to implement what we learned, and continue serving the Lord's purpose with joy and determination.... Pray for the many ministries we are supporting as they continue impacting this nation with the Gospel."

No one can say that Avner Boskey doesn't do his homework, and here are two prime examples: Striking a match in a roomful of fumes "Israel finds itself in the crosshairs of more than a handful of potential blow-ups this week. It is a time for those who love Jerusalem to be praying. Here is the list of significant events happening this week." Also:  Gold, greed and genocide: global industrialists and the murder of the Jews " The Scroll of Esther contains a hidden key which sheds light on how greed influenced Haman’s attempted Persian Holocaust against the Jews."

There is also an appeal for support of the Boskey's ministry. This is echoed throughout the ministries of Israel - and it echoes all the way back from the apostle Paul who first emphasized the need for the Israeli ministries to receive material support from the believers in the nations. He wrote about it in many of his letters, but this is perhaps the clearest and loudest in Romans 15:27 speaking of a contribution to the saints in Jerusalem: "For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings."

Israel Pochtar is also concerned about the poor in Israel - not only the materially poverty, but also the spiritual poverty. That is the dual point  of the many evangelism outreaches that are done under his ministry oversight. Currently he is planning and raising funds for a Shavuot (Pentecost) outreach where they will minister to the spiritual and material needs of 500 non-believers. Going on a biblical tour is a luxury for immigrants in Israel - and this Bible tour visits sites important to the life of Yeshua.  Learn more "and help us spread the gospel in the land by supporting this project, or similar ones. Israel also writes about the incredible sign of God's faithfulness that is apparent in the re-birth of Israel 70 years ago. As he encourages believers in the nations to prophesy to the bones (Ezekiel 37), he says in certainty: "Israel is alive because of God's promises. We celebrate the miraculous rebirth of the nation of Israel 70 years ago, and as believers we fully trust God will bring the rest of the prophecy to fulfillment, which is: ...put my Spirit in you and you will live. That day is quickly approaching as well."

Dani Sayag is the senior pastor of the Carmel Congregation in Haifa that was started by David Davis years ago. It is a dynamic worship and prayer congregation whose weekly messages can be viewed on  Facebook. He also is the senior pastor over the Kerem-El, God's Vineyard congregation and a constellation of outreaches to the poor, the addicted, the hungry, the new immigrants, the Holocaust survivors and those who need healing in their community. "We have begun to see healings break forth in some of our meetings, as well as in encounters with unbelievers on the streets of Haifa."

Yeshua said in Mark 16:17-18, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." We are hearing more and more reports of healings as Israeli believers are taking their faith to the streets.

Also from the Carmel congregation, an appeal for material support: "Please pray with us for the ongoing finances to continue operating all the branches of the Kehilat HaCarmel ministries. We believe we are entering a season of multiplied fruitfulness, and we are trusting Him to enable us to continue all that He has established."

From Dan Juster, The Battle for Language There is something more about "politically correct" language, it is a battle to establish new realities.  Avi Tekle of Tents of Mercy writes in  A Good Predicament to "... send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared" and the Return to Zion congregation give a Passover Report.  Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher congregation writes that "Others should be able to 'read' our lives, as reflecting Yeshua - not because of our abilities but because the Spirit which dwells in us, gives life" in Messages Written by Messiah. And finally Cody Archer of Revive Israel in Jerusalem writes about the  Six Things to do When Under Spiritual Attack: Repent - Stay in Community - Stay in the Word - Speak in Faith - Keep Worshipping - Keep Standing 

 

Ronit Bender lives in the Carmel region and attends the Kerem-El congregation. She is friend who is inventive in reaching out to the people around her ... and some she travels long distances to reach. While recently on a speaking tour in Australia, she received a prophetic word that she mulled in her heart after returning to Tel Aviv. She writes that "I knew the Lord wanted me to go back to south Tel Aviv, to minister to women that are drug addicts, prostitutes and the broken people living on the street. For several weeks, I have been volunteering with “The Red Carpet”, a ministry that serves these women, and showers them with the love of God. Some get saved, some die of illness or drugs, and some choose to reject the gospel." The work on the streets of Tel Aviv to the addicted and the prostitutes is mnistry for people with a special compassion and Yeshua-love for the broken. Ronit is one of those special kinds of people. Another quite excellent list of prayer topics came in last Friday from Intercessors for Israel, Ofer Amitai, Eliyahu Ben-Haim and Churck Cohen.  The start by praising God for helping the Israeli Intelligence Agency, Mossad, to heist the documentation of Iran's hidden nuclear program right out from under their noses! It was a feat of remarkable proportions and likely has had great impact on the announcement today by President Trump to pull out of the Iran Deal and slap tight sanctions back on the country for lying and continuing its quest for nukes.  These are all prayer points that that comprise an intense constellation of major situations in and around Israel this week.  Much more available on the Weekly Summary list.

Carolyn and Richard Hyde's monthly letter is full of "Appointments, both divine and scheduled". One instance: Praise G-d for recent opportunities to share the love of Messiah with groups of Holocaust survivors and pioneers from the early days of the founding of the Modern State of Israel.  These beautiful people responded with great joy and at one point, an elderly lady took my microphone and said, "You have brought light and hope into a place of darkness."  After many other examples, the quote from Psalm 102: You will arise and have mercy on Zion.  For it is time to be gracious to her, for the appointed time has come.

Two videos Cody Archer interviews Gateways Beyond /and with an article Revive Media Building to New Levels.  Revive Israel writes, "You can make a difference in Israel. Help us to continue to reach and disciple Israelis through your generous giving. Donate today."

I love the message Guy Cohen has in the differences in the account of the healing of a young boy in Mark 9:14-29 and Matthew 17. "Yeshua didn't rush in and heal the boy though. He moved into the situation, asked the scribes what they were discussing and got his answer from the father. Then Yeshua tells them to bring Him the boy at which point the demon reacts by throwing him to the ground. Still Yeshua does not respond but continues to inquire about the boy's condition, asking how long he had been this way. Did he really need to know and was it necessary to spend time in gathering information? What are some of the things we learn from this account? First of all that we should be walking in holiness with the intent of our heart to be to see God's hand move in the lives of others. However, there will be those who stand ready to criticize and dispute our intentions based on our success or failure, in their eyes. As was the case here, we tend to put our faith in what we see. In this case their failure to heal the boy brought doubt, in everyone." Pray for Guy to have favor granted in a long running situation tomorrow.

From the Kerem El, God's Vineyard congregation, they have reports on the recent holidays, and also this special event for their congregants - a Finance Seminar. "Finishing the month can be difficult in any country, but Israel happens to be a very expensive place to live.  In order to help our congregation in this very important area of finances, we recently had a financial seminar.  This seminar was open to other congregations, as well. Two members of our congregation, attended training for this, and now they are accompanying families that need help in this area."

Priority Prayer Focus

Dr. Daniel Juster, Asher Intrater and Eitan Shishkoff, Tikkun International in Jerusalem. Tikkun means Restoration.

For several months now I have been watching a situation in Israel that has brought my good friends of Tikkun ministries into a tempest behind the scenes in Israel. What had been held almost sacrosanct in non-public discussions in the Israeli body has now spilled out into the public domain which I why I feel the need to go on the record with where I stand.

I stand with the three humble, accountable and full of integrity servants of God pictured above. Without any hesitation and knowing them well. My Statement on the Defamation

l implore those who are casting suspicions and doubts against these Tikkun ministers to be careful what you say about those who have faithfully served the Lord together for decades — honorably, scripturally and pursuing peace with the greater body of Messiah always in Israel and without.

I believe the Priority Prayer Focus is for the unity of the body of Messiah in Israel & for public attacks to cease.

Continuing the subject raised in the Priority Prayer Focus, the first is an excerpt from Howard Bass' ministry letter (shared in full below) informing about the national leaders meeting held last week in which the discussions of Asher Intrater, Daniel Juster and the Tikkun Ministries spiritual convictions have been discussed.  Bass sent out a letter that outlined for public consumption what these discussion have revolved around.  A link to that letter was shared in the Arrows from Zion email.

I honestly find all of this to be an attack on my brothers in Tikkun. Maybe you have figured that out by now.  We are to live in peace with all men, as much as it is within our power to do so. Personally, I think it is time for this raking Tikkun over the coals over differences in spiritual convictions, guilty-by-association connections, and now progressing to publicly trying to bring them under general suspicion, to end. Please pray that it does. It is making the body of Messiah in Israel look terrible.

On a lighter note, Eddie and Jackie Santoro write that three weeks after his second brain surgery, Eddie is feeling blessed by the outpouring of love that has been sent to them by you all. "God has emphasized that in this season, we are to rest in him as our brothers and sisters take up the battle for us. With all of our hearts we believe that as we stand together, we will see his victory."  A small piece of the tumor remains in his brain. Please bombard it with the authority we have received from Yeshua: that every cancer cell shall die and Eddie shall live to proclaim the glories of the Lord!

Unable to attend their congregation in Jerusalem at this time, the Santoro's are proud as parents with the state of Ahavat Yeshua (Love of Yeshua) which is being led now by the younger elders that have been mentored by and with oversight of the three senior elders, Asher Intrater, Dan Juster and Eddie Santoro.  "There is a new and fresh anointing for evangelism among the members. Next week there is an inter-congregational prayer and worship meeting planned followed by a time of evangelism on the streets of Jerusalem. Please pray for the harvest. God wants all of us to step out and share his life with the lost."

Among the many short topics in the Santoro email is this: "The whole nation is also gearing up with joy in its collective heart as preparations are being made for the historic dedication of the American Embassy in Jerusalem on May 14. This promises to truly be an incredible moment in the spirit as well as in the natural as Jerusalem is finally officially recognized as the capital of Israel by the USA. Pray that many other nations will follow this bold step. These are indeed awesome times and there is an excitement in the spirit as we sense that things are going to burst forth suddenly in the days to come as God's Kingdom advances rapidly."

In the rest of the ministry email that Howard Bass sent he writes about the unusual rains that Israel experiences last week. Rain this late in the season is what made it unusual - it's a blessing but every year of torrential rains we hear of deaths in the flash flooding. This year was really hard as a Bedouin shepherd girl drown with her sheep in a flash flood, then another tragedy as 10 young people from a pre-military prep school were also swept away. The nation was in deep mourning for their losses.

Also Howard recommends an article "Tola'at, written by a prisoner I am in correspondence with in Arizona. . . . It is both revelatory and enlightening."  Lastly, he writes, for those who are coming to Israel this summer, please consider joining them for a service at Yeshua's Inheritance congregation in Beer Sheva. They are just now switching to their summer schedule of meeting on Friday evenings at 5:30 PM and this will be the meeting time until October when their area begins to cool down again.

This was lifted today from Facebook from Revive Israel, a video message with Asher calling for urgent prayers over the next two weeks for the unfolding events in North Korea.  From an earlier Revive Team mailing this was written:  "2018 also marks 70 years of statehood for South Korea. On 26-27 March, Revive Israel held a conference in Seoul to mark this event. Asher Intrater and Ariel Blumenthal spoke, and intercession went up for God’s purposes to be fulfilled in the region and bridges to be built between the two nations. Additionally, 21-23 March saw a large international Global Gathering event in South Korea’s Jeju Island – where the blood of tens of thousands of Koreans was spilled 70 years ago – much prayer went up for North and South Korea’s reunification and for renewed Korean revival.  Both Asher and Ariel contributed.  Asher serves on the Watchmen for the Nations/ Global Gathering core group."

From the elders of the Mercy of Yeshua congregation in Arad many subjects including their fun time with the kids during Passover teaching them in creative ways that the children would better understand the great deliverance. Sounds like it was great fun!  They also have a report about how some of their teens were on the winning Israeli team that got to go to Houston, Texas in an international robotics competition. Congratulations to the members of their youth group who were one of the teams representing Israel. They made it to the semi-finals!

The Hasdey Yeshua congregation also reports of the children's, their Bedouin ministry, and for their youth, including one of the young women who has just become a member of the pre-IDF prep group, Hitzim, or arrows. They ask prayers over all their young people and the ministry outreaches.

The Maoz Israel prayer letter has the violence and threats of their enemies front and center in the requests for prayers:  "Both Hamas in Gaza and Iran's proxy in Syria and Lebanon, the Hezbollah, have continued declaring their intent of wiping Israel off the map. The next few weeks will be tense, as the Nakba—the "Day of the Catastrophe" marked by the Palestinians on May 15—is fast approaching, and Hamas has already declared they are planning something "special" for Israel.  (This is also the day when the U.S. embassy is supposed to begin moving to Jerusalem.)"  

THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS PRAYER REQUEST on the minds of all the Israeli body of Messiah.  Also, please pray for President Trump, who will make a major decision on the Iran Deal on the 12th. Maoz also writes, "... there's a new weapon Gazan terrorists are using now against us—tying lit Molotov cocktail bottles to kites and releasing them into our territory, already causing several fires in the south. The Iranian regime and its proxies are threatening retaliation after two alleged Israeli strikes in Syria. Our leaders and commanders say Israel is ready for any scenario, but if you watch the evening news, you can feel the tension rising among almost every commentator. As we are going through these uncertain times, we appreciate you joining us in prayer " 

The Kfar Saba congregation is led by Tony and Orna Sperandeo, and my friend Sally Shiff acts as their English-speaking liaison and intercessor. I really enjoyed reading the ministry letter from them as it focused on the monumental miracle that took place seventy years ago as Israel was re-born as a nation. "Who has heard of such a thing." This was quite a good article covering not only the history, but the accomplishments, even the blessing God has on the Jewish people to be a blessing to the world — Did you know that in the past 70 years, out of 892 people who have received the Nobel Prize, 201 of them have been Jewish?  They write, "In addition, the Messianic body here in Israel has flourished! Before 1948, only 29 known believers in Yeshua were identified. In 1980, 300, and today over 20,000 are Jewish believers in Yeshua. With Messianic Congregations in every major city, more and more eyes and hearts are being opened."

For the rest of the news from the HaMaayan (Wellspring) congregation, they write about their well project in India which brought clean drinking water to a village serving 1400 families. And also a special event in their town for Holocaust survivors. Among their own prayer needs: For the summer children's program & the youth camps.
