Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs: 

Speak death to every cancer cell which has been attacking God's servants even multiple times in order to cut off the gospel from their mouths! God is greater than even cancer arising twice!
 

PLEASE Pray for ANOTHER MIRACLE:  Shelly M, Israeli pastor Eitan's wife whom doctors have sent home to die as cancer has returned to a new place in her body;  Eddie Santoro - a new form of cancer unrelated to the brain cancer;  We also received prayer requests for Jacob Damkani who was to have surgery today (after life-threatening medical incident 1 year ago). Doctors have re-assessed & will try to treat it for a week without surgery. Please pray issue will be resolved without more surgery. This is a fight of faith - press in with them!

Rick Ridings daughter, Esther Moore just had second surgery for cancer; Ruth Nessim has received a clean bill of health from cancer treatment: pray it does not rise up a 2nd time; same prayers for David Davis recovering from cancer treatment; David O., Ami (unhealed wounds), Long term disease battles:  Leah; an unnamed forefather of Messianic Judaism; Moshe M. Ghazi, the son of an Arab pastor, who is suffering from Leukemia. Judy, wife of pastor Yaakov K;  Evan Thomas in still painful occupational therapy phase after serious arm fractures; Richard Hyde, Eddie Beckford, Claude Ezagouri; Rachel Slater; Patti, wife of Dan Juster; Baruch and Karen Maayan; Michael E and unnamed Israel-related ministers.  Pray also for Tal Bass. Miriam Abramov, incisional hernia, Ronen a congregant & faithful volunteer in the Tiferet Yeshua Tel Aviv congregation. Kati at Maoz who was hurt in a fall on the street.

We kicked off the prayer summary this week by Prioritizing the Urgent Healing Needs with the Israeli body and specifically the life threatening attacks against so many ministry leaders. Please be like a laser beam focus on these urgent prayer needs.

Guy Cohen, the pastor of the Acco congregation, Harvest of Asher in the Tents of Mercy network in northern Israel. Guy writes:  "I witnessed a conversation between a soldier who came to console the mother of a fellow soldier who had been killed in battle. He told her that he was with her son when the rocket hit. Her son was instantly killed and he was injured. I looked into the eyes of that 19 year old boy and saw confusion, guilt, suffering and questions. I could see the self-blame as he said,  'It should have been me and not him'.  The mother, who loved her child, was comforting the soldier. She had lost her son and yet was encouraging his friend who was suffering to the depth of his soul. 

"In a way this is a parallel for us" he writes, "when we stand before Yeshua in a time that we see the world change from a safe planet into a planet engulfed in war and chaos.... Believers need to stay in a deep relationship with Yeshua, listening to His voice and He will guide us to the fountains of living waters in the times of chaos."

Also from northern Israel, Eric Benson who runs the House of Victory for the Carmel congregation, writes that he has enjoyed a refreshing summer holiday in the US along with his two daughters - a chance to rest and visit with family members in the USA. He reports that he is delighted with how the HOV ministry has continued in all its ministry efforts in his absence and reports on their activities and prayer requests which you can read inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.

Eric writes his prayer over the House of Victory: "In the intense heat of an Israeli Summer, may the leadership of the house continue to stand in the gap. It is a gap between life and death. May the Lord strengthen the inner most being of our staff. The only way this can happen is that the power of His love fills us afresh. It is our prayer together that we ask the Lord for His touch upon our lives."

Howard Bass of the Yeshua's Inheritance congregation in the Negev city of Beer Sheva, being a dual Israeli-American citizen, has been watching the election process in the USA and has the same assessment many of us hold (not encouraged!). He writes, "May God have mercy and shake up His people!"  Howard goes on to write about a recent evening as he and four other fathers met one night to encourage a sixth young man about to become a first time father. I don't think I've ever heard of this before, but what a great idea to call the fears of one about to embark on one of the most major responsibilities a man ever faces. This should really become a thing!  

Howard writes that this month three of their young congregational leaders (Evan, Tal & Victor) are off to Frances with a group of Israeli for training and discipleship. He asks prayers for them, and also for Yakov, who is a deacon and treasurer for Yeshua's Inheritance. Yakov's "tent-making" job is as a "tour bus evangelism" driver (tours that we have written about in the past that are so effective).  Because donations are down, many of the planned tours over the next 3-4 months have been cancelled. The outside Israel funding of outreaches like this are so important, and you see the trickle-down effect. Pray for these evangelistic outreaches to be fully funded, and those connected with operating them to also be blessed.   

Bass has a couple of writings of interest that he shares in this ministry letter: "Many of you may have heard that the Palestinian leadership and Arab League want to sue Britain for issuing the Balfour Declaration in 1917, blaming them for all of the present troubles here since the Jewish people have been legally returning to their homeland. Also, after hearing once again about Daniel's 70 weeks being explained in connection with its starting point and the timing of Yeshua's death, I wrote something here.   And, I just finished reading a very interesting book by a professor at Ben-Gurion Univ of the Negev, called Coincidences in the Bible and in the Hebrew Language.  A recent movie was done to illustrate and highlight some of the fascinating findings of Prof. Haim Shore.  I have written a bit of a critique on it here, and given a link to the movie."

The God's Vineyard (Karem-El) congregation in northern Israel  are excited to report the baptism of two new believers and about their once a month home groups that meet on places like the beach for worship, prayer and fellowship. The idea is to take it out into the light of day so their gatherings can be a witness to others.  The congregation has a Meet Our Families spotlight which we will not share in a public forum, but you can read about along with some of their other activities an specific prayer requests this month inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary . 

One request I will share with you because it is such a widespread need within the community of faith in Israel:  "Please pray for families who are struggling to make ends meet - for God to open doors to good jobs and for blessing and financial provision."

Arni and Yonit Klein from Emmaus Way in the Galilee have so much to share about the Galilee Worship Gatherings they have been hosting in their village so near where much of gospels took place on the Sea of Galilee, or Kinneret as it is known in Hebrew. Arni shares a words that came out of the June group that they hosted, which were words about the Jordan River and Gethesmane - the places where Jesus' ministry began, and also where if ended in His earthly walk.  Please read the full understanding they drew out of it, and also the prophetic element that they experienced in their July gathering as well, inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.

Kobi and Shani (Sorko-Ram) Ferguson are headed to the US with their ever increasing family of adorable children, to minister on, among other things, the generational vision for family message that God has given them.  It is quite something to see their young children so eager to interact with people and pray from them in the services where their parents have been ministering. They write, "During our last ministry trip as a family in the summer of 2015, we heard amazing testimonies of how blessed people were when our kids prayed for them and how penetrating their words were. But the best part was seeing the light go on in the hearts of parents - especially the fathers - who said in watching our family in action (not just hearing our message), they became excited about discipling their own families." From the sound of Rachel Boskey's personal ministry letter this month, Avner and the Boskey's have been really busy with speaking engagements in Norway, France, the Negev and Jerusalem. Avner has a basic message that he likes to teach outside of Israel with three points he considers critical. Those are listed in the Weekly Summary, but here is also a short video of Avner speaking about these points.  They give us an update on the ministry activities of all their children, the continued plans for the Ezekiel 37 Training Institute, and Avner found time to write a new book called, How to be Messianic without being Meshuggeh* (*crazy), is a practical, bottom-line encouragement to believers who choose to identify with Israel and the Jewish people and who by faith have joined the ‘commonwealth of Israel.’

Rachel Netanel writes from Ein Karim, outside of Jerusalem about the ministry God has given her husband Gilad and herself. They have a house that is quite a draw itself, but there is also a powerful anointing that God has placed on this native Israeli to be able to share the good news of Messiah with anyone God puts in her pathway.  I am always encouraged reading Rachel's ministry letters - which I will not share in a public forum to protect the work of God that is going on in so many of the lives - but you can read about them inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.

Maybe you are interested, but you don't think you have the time to read the Weekly Summary. Let me encourage you to print a copy out every once in a while and put it in a place where you have quiet time, or maybe where you could read while soaking in a warm bath.  You will learn things that will truly bless you.

I hope you have been noticing the Tikkun network in Israel which is such a great model of how an apostolic ministry network operates.  This is something that has been grown up from an infancy level to current level for over 30 years and it is just emerging as something that I for one believe is a model to keep our eyes on.  Asher Intrater, the director of Tikkun and head of his personal Revive Israel ministry writes, "The idea of the restoration of apostolic ministry teams around the world raises a certain degree of controversy; and even more so Messianic apostolic ministry here in Israel. Also from the  Revive Team, Cody Archer explains how their media team has grown up from nothing since 2011, as Revive team members began to get the education and training they needed to take hold of the various aspects of social media that Revive Israel is now blessed to see growing and increasing their reach to the four corners of the earth. As always at the first of the month, I have received more ministry letters than will fit into the 15-pg limit that I have to stick to for the Prayer Summary.
Will catch up with all the overflow next week.
I so greatly appreciate those who responded to my appeal last week for donations.

Next week this prayer summary will enter into its 16th year of publishing a weekly summary
of Israeli ministry prayer requests. .. and Sunday I mark my 65th birthday.
August is always a red-letter month for me.

Priority Prayer Focus Aug 3, 2016

The lion's share of prayer letters this week were primarily focused on world events.  Anyone who has been spiritually drawn toward Israel begins to realize that Israel  is where spiritual reality connects to what is manifesting in the natural world.  As the threat posed by radical Islam continues to rise in the Western nations, the Church will be challenged to shake itself awake as to how the spirit of violence behind radical Islam that has targeted Israel for decades, is now targeting us.

The spiritual warfare going on in the heavenlies is impacted by prayer - prayer for our own nations, but also prayer for the main target of demonic opposition to God's plan and purposes in Jerusalem.  Our desire in this Weekly Summary/Arrows from Zion is to give subscribers insight into the things that are in the news but also to point the way for how to stand in the spiritual battle as prayer warriors - and in the natural battle. We are in a battle for the truth, and the truth is it takes prayer soldiers and natural soldiers to contend in this war. We are called to be both. We are writing the vision on this wall so that those who read it may run with it.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

What a great report from David and Michaella Lazarus of Beit Immanuel in Jaffa this week - and it's all about a release of faith among the children of the congregation to pray for healing. These children are praying in simple, childlike faith and God is answering them with healing to those submitting to a child for prayer. "This is what we have been waiting for!' was the reaction of a young mother this week, watching with tears in her eyes, as her son laid hands on an elderly woman, calling on the name of Yeshua for healing. And He came, and He healed!"

David writes, "The innocent, pure and simple way they trust God is startling, and it hits us -- we do not always minister to others like that. They didn't shout, there was no hype. They closed their eyes, lifted their faces, and extending their hands touched the needy, believing that God is here, with us. As we watched, we saw faith in their hopeful expressions, heard the trust in their straightforward prayers, and as they asked, as only a child can ask, for healing, renewal and strength for needy, sick and broken lives, we saw people moved, deeply."

The congregation is also experiencing a spiritual touch among their teenagers, too. The Knesset bestowed the honor of recognition to the Messianic Pro-Life Organization, Be'ad Chaim at the beginning of July as part of the International Women's Health Day.  Sandy Shoshani the National Director of Be’ad Chaim and founder, Tony Sperandeo accepted the certificate of appreciation. The pro-life organization, Be'ad Chaim  was founded in 1980, has five counseling centers in various regions of Israel and a hotline for women to receive information and help. About one in every five pregnancies in Israel ends in abortion.

KehilaNews writes, "Be’ad Chaim is not the only organization that works in the field of protecting mothers and their unborn babies. The reason that this particular association receives awareness from the Knesset and positive recognition from the Ministry of Social Welfare is thanks to their acceptance and inclusion of others. Be’ad Chaim does not distinguish between religion and nationality, as opposed to other organizations that work solely with Jews." Katy, who writes the weekly prayer requests from the Sorko-Ram's Maoz ministries asks for prayers regarding the many projects of Maoz - those underway and those still in the creation stage. One of the main thrusts of Maoz is to provide resources for the rest of the ministries in Israel - whether leadership conferences or translating study and inspirational materials into Hebrew. You have heard of someone being a pastor's pastor? Well Maoz very much presses in to be a ministry's ministry to the Messianic leaders in Israel. Praying the Headlines

Eliyahu Ben-Haim of Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem reviews the highlights of international crisis in his Sound the Shofar prayer letter. Excerpts we picked out are the terror attacks in Western Europe; presidential elections in the USA, Russia making moves to re-capture super power influence (China too); what Brexit means & the rapidly vanishing freedom of speech in the EU & US. Plus, of course Islamic terrorism. "While Israel is far from being a perfect nation (there is no perfect nation) the vicious hatred of Israel is not at its heart, anti-Semitic but anti-God...." Barry & Batya Segal whose Jerusalem News Network highlights news related to Israel or the Jews from various sources, files several key news stories that are in the news: "Isis Priest-Killer Asked Nun, 'Are you afraid to die?' | Attack Inside French Church Shocks West, but Not Christians in Africa  |  'One Isis Attack Every 84 hours' Spurs Dread and Anger in Europe.  Highlights in these news items and scripture to apply inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Israelprayer adds this news item: The online recruiting publication of ISIS in English aims would-be jihadists to attack Christians and Churches. The focus is clearly spelled out on the cover: "Break the Cross" and calls for the bloodthirsty knights of the Caliphate continue to wage their war of just terror against you. They argue that Jesus himself was “a slave of Allah” who will “wage jihad” upon returning to earth. The main thrust: "hidden soldiers of the Caliphate...ordered to attack without delay."  ...and still many Christians believe this manifestation of Islam is a mere aberration of the real "religion of peace." We must pray that the eyes of the Church understanding be opened to the true nature of this spiritual darkness.

Jane Hanson-Hoyt of AGLOW International is not an Israeli ministry, but this lady has certainly aligned with Israeli believers and galvanized her international prayer warriors on behalf of Israel. To pray for Israel and the Israeli believers, we are necessarily joined into the spiritual warfare regarding Islamic Jihad.  Jane Hanson Hoyt has called for urgent prayer to thwart the Islamic terror plans that are targeting the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (Aug 5-21).  This is a serious threat and as the AGLOW leader says: intercession for this threatened event is our calling and equipping to stand in the gates with our delegated authority.  See the full call shared on Facebook inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

We must fight the spiritual warfare in two ways: prayer and action. We pray for the eyes of the understanding of the Church to be opened, for the schemes of the enemy to be overturned - but also we take our stand in the natural world, sometimes as soldiers fighting physically in the wars to turn back the enemy and sometimes as soldiers in the information wars. The latter is what the Jerusalem Institute of Justice is about. Not only does this organization of Messianic attorneys in Israel fight for the rights of believers in Israel, but it also leads in the information/education warfare on behalf of Israel in international arenas.  Inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary read the personal message from JIJ CEO Flavia Sevald on their battle against Anti-Semitism and learn how you can join the battle with them.

Teaching Articles

Over the weekend the weekend I sat down to re-listen to a teaching of Asher Intrater's from the 2009 Israel Mandate conference that I have returned to several times a year for several years. Pretty soon I decided to starting typing certain excerpts to save but about halfway through it, I said forget this! I need  a full transcript!

One reason is that no one has ever explained why liberal, secular humanists in the West are so dead set intent on protecting Islam to the point that they actually cover the grievous crimes and attacks of radical Islam.  Asher does in how the deception that comes with the Harlot spirit blinds those it controls from clearly perceiving the spirit of violence that marks the Beast of Islamic Jihad.  The Harlot and the Beast of Revelation connects with the battle of the spirits of Greece and Persia that Daniel was praying over, and as Asher shows, has a direct connection to the spirits we are fighting today - Jezebel and Jihad. 

I want to challenge all of you on this prayer list to do a deep dive study into Asher's audio teaching, "The Harlot and the Beast, or Jezebel and Jihad."  I believe it will clarify what we have already entered into and  we live in critical times! Get understanding and a clear prayer strategy for participating in the battle now being waged in the Heavenlies over the whole earth.  The time is now to enter into that company of Daniel's who are in the fight.
