Kamala & the Iranian student:
When My Truth contains NO Truth at
all

In his ground-breaking 1989 book on
spiritual warfare, Francis Frangipane noted that not only is the spiritual
battleground taking place in our minds, but "the essence of spiritual
warfare is in who shall define reality: the Word of God or the illusions of
this present age."
Israel has been in a spiritual battle against the illusions of the
enemies of God's Word from the moment the nation was birthed again in a day.
"Can a country be born in a day or a nation be delivered in an instant?
Yet as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children." Isaiah
66:8
From that point of the re-birthing of the Israeli nation in 1948 to this
present worldwide darkness of 2021, Israel has been in a continual spiritual
warfare with those who are in agreement with hell against God's Word about
Israel's restoration. But how did we in the rest of the world get here to this
place where reality is just a matter of subjective feelings and where no place
is found for facts?
As Frangipane put it in The Three Battlegrounds, "whatever a
society agrees upon and established through consent, compromise and constant
use will ultimately define reality to them....All spiritual warfare is waged
over one essential question: Who will control reality on earth; heaven or hell?"
To gain any ground on the spiritual frontlines
of the battle, we have to become fervent in our agreement with the Word of God
—including His Word about Israel.
My Truth | Almost as soon as
I heard the trendy "my truth" and "your truth" I hated it
and began to speak out against it. Why? Because there aren't different versions
of truth, but the truth stands
alone. The truth is what the facts are, not bendable to suit a diversity of
subjective feelings, but immutable —unable to be changed without exception.
The popularized ploy today is that if someone just FEELS something is
so, even in opposition to the FACTS, the TRUTH, the REALITY, that is enough disregard
the facts, the truth and the reality of any situation. It is a ruse that allows
injustices to prevail in our society. One could call it "lies from the pit
of hell" but so many in our society are quite willing to acquiesce to the
skullduggery. Even believers seeking the path of least resistance are willing
to compromise to accommodate more comfortable lies.
“My truth” is in reality the pathway to institutionalizing INJUSTICE. If
all I have to say is, 'My truth is that you are mean to me and should treated
badly for it,' then accusation is elevated to the same level as facts. Facts
then can be disregarded and even banned from the debate because it
"cruelly" ignores someone's feelings. All that matters now is what someone FEELS to
true, regardless of trivial things like facts or reality. That's the world in
which we live and it is deeply absorbed into our society already.
This battle for reality is not just on a political level, it permeates
everything today like the invasive Kudzu vine that overwhelms everything in its
path. It is a killer, starving every other living vegetation out including
trees. That is the same with this “My Truth” ploy. All sorts of seemingly
normal people have accepted subjective feelings trumping objective facts. It is
no longer necessary to judge matters from the position of fact-finding because
reality - the facts - just does not matter anymore. Only the emotions of
accusers matter.
Kamala’s
truth | This week an email arrived that is a perfect example of how
subjective "my truth" is devoid of all truth. It contained an article out of Israel titled,
"Here's My Truth, Kamala,"
and detailed an encounter at George Mason University last week as the US Vice
President spoke to students there. It is important when VP Harris makes
statements about her thinking on Israel because few Americans believe Joe Biden
is mentally well enough to make it through his whole term as president.
An Iranian-Yemeni student addressed
Kamala saying "just a few days ago there were funds allocated to continue
backing Israel, which hurts my heart because it's an ethnic genocide and a
displacement of people, the same that happened in America, and I'm sure you're
aware of this."
Kamala Harris said "she was 'glad' she had raised the subject,
before adding, 'this is about the fact that your voice, your perspective, your
experience, your truth, should not be suppressed and it must be heard,
right?"
The accusation that Israel is guilty of ETHNIC GENOCIDE is a FALSE
ACCUSATION but instead of calling that out, the Vice President of the United
States raised the student’s feelings to an equal standing level of the FACTS, the
TRUTH, and REALITY. Instead of dismissing false accusation, Kamala Harris gave
those "feelings" —nothing but a narrative — a platform of relevance.
Now the Iranian-Yemeni student may well believe with all her heart in the lies
she has been indoctrinated to believe all her life about Israelis, but her
feelings do not make the lies factual. This is the problem. Our societies are
now operating on competing narratives and as Isaiah 59:14 puts it, "So justice is driven back, and
righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty
cannot enter."
When the authorities over us
cannot separate the reality from mere accusations, injustice will prevail.
It is important that those of us who follow Jesus to never consent or comply
passively without protest to the "my truth" movement. If you do, you
will completely lose your discernment in all matters and injustice will most
certainly follow.
Israel is not a side issue to all
the chaos and injustice we see going on in a world overtaken by falsehoods and
perverse thinking. In fact, it is my
belief that if those who call on the name of the LORD would get their thinking
in agreement with God about Israel, that other areas in disagreement with God’s
Word that have become strongholds in our thinking, would also begin to be transformed.
I believe this because the closer we
get to God's redemption of all Israel,
the more central Israel becomes in all of the spiritual warfare we face on
every level. This is because Israel is not only the world’s “canary in a coal
mine” but Israel is also a measurement for God. He says He will judge the nations by how they have treated Israel. What is happening in the nations today could very well be the nations being
plunged into the valley of decision on
Israel and the validity of God’s Word as the final word on every issue of
life. Are not ultimate decisions being made now for the ultimate Divine
judgment that is coming?

3:1-2 | 1“Yes, in those days and at that
time, when I restore Judah and Jerusalem
from captivity, 2 I will gather
all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat (a
symbolic name of a valley that is a place of God’s judgment). There
I will enter into judgment against them concerning My people, My inheritance,
Israel, whom they have scattered
among the nations as they divided up My land.…
Deep darkness is
covering the earth, but this is also the time of Israel’s redemption through
the Messiah. It is the time
when the LORD says to those in Messiah Yeshua, “Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the LORD is
risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1) This
is the time to stand up for the excellent truth and reality of the Word of God.
It is the time that God intends for captives of deceived thinking to be set
free and delivered into the kingdom of God in the nations and in Israel.

that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow
unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house
of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his
paths: for out of Zion shall go forth
the law (Torah/the Bible), and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

A beautiful report from Dov and Olga Bikas on the Aviv Ministry which ministers
to the street people of Tel Aviv – outcasts of society, broken in sins of
addictions, but souls they are there to reach out with food, clothing, first
aid and the Gospel. They ask prayers for one transgender who has often been
violent on the streets…but who is softening towards the volunteers at Aviv and
is listening to the Gospel. Pray for “Tom” to awaken to salvation. The ministry
letter also tracks several men who have been in the Beer Sheva rehab – some to
success, some not…also victims of sexual abuse in their Women’s shelter, also
in Beer Sheva. It is difficult ministry work, but the lost are being saved.

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center
writes about two events. One how “Israel
was almost completely destroyed …. attacked from all sides 48 years ago in Yom
Kippur (the "Day of Atonement war") 6th of October 1973. Chaim shares
some thoughts in this VIDEO. Also Chaim shares about the heart of their
ministry during the “national Aliyah Day (Yom HaAliyah), an official holiday
celebrated annually to commemorate the first documented "Mass
Aliyah", when Joshua led the Israelites across the miraculously stopped
Jordan River into the Promised Land with the Ark of the Covenant (Joshua 3

Sally Shiff of the HaMaayan congregation writes to encourage us not to
let our love grow cold – which we are seeing so much of in the face of covid
and all that has gone with that in dividing people from people, families from
families, even congregations splitting over the difference in beliefs about the
best way to respond. “Daily, I watch the videos of
the violence around the world, rights being taken away and lawlessness
prevailing. I am sure we all watched sadly Afghanistan falling into the hands
of the Taliban, and now seeing videos of bombing killing hundreds in that
nation…. in my heart, I think we need to look at reality. And the reality that
I am talking about is what is our role as believers. . . . in a world where the
love of many is already growing cold, we have an opportunity as followers,
disciples, believers in Yeshua to show love where there is none. Give love when
it is hard to do. And be in love with the One who made us…. Israel is going
through the same thing as the rest of the world. There are arguments and
“discussions” (on a higher decibel level), and broken relationships. One
faction does not like the other, and there seems to be no impasse. But, God is
STILL in charge, and He is here if we call upon His Name.”

Deliverance of a young man who was in need because of demonic oppression.
This lady originally from Argentina made aliyah as a teen. Over the years she “was deeply touched by the message of the gospel and
the worship of these passionate, sincere followers of Yeshua. Eventually
Deborah overcame her resistence to Yeshua and came to faith. She has pastoral
and teaching gifts, evident in her balanced teachings in Spanish on the biblical times and seasons on her Facebook page Fundacion HALEL.

Evan and Maala Thomas of the Beit Asaph congregation in Netanya are drawn to
Joel this week (as was I!) They also see the Corona-struck world as being in
the “valley of decision” and how it has become a major dividing point in
families, nations and even congregations. They urge prayers for especially the
divisions between believers over covid-related issues: Corona
and government policy has split the Body terribly. The vax/anti-vax issue is
dividing families, congregations and the nation. We are bombarded with so much
confusing information and fear-mongering and of course the inevitable
governmental policy of pushing vaccination as hard as possible while employers
increase pressure on employees to comply. All these things and more are making
congregational life and pastoral work very challenging. We are witnessing a
‘falling away’ from fellowship life in many parts of the Believing community
and some congregations showing significant signs of disintegrating…even those
that have previously been very stable and impactful in their regions. Please
make this a major priority in prayer.
Also they are asking prayers over their deep concern about the Iranian race to produce weapons-grade uranium and “support of extremist groups hell-bent on making the world unsafe.” They also ask for prayers for rain in Israel. In good reports, their life groups are working well, their monthly Shabbat meeting together is blessed, children’s youth activities flourishing.

tired these days: probably as a result of a combination of factors: my age,
stress of the days of running to the bomb shelter, work load in the ministry,
etc. Olga Bikas: We are
grateful that Olga is feeling better these days! Though the doctors never found
the cause of the dizziness that put her in hospital a month ago, they did rule
out major issues like brain tumors, heart problems, etc., so this is already
comforting. Olga’s back also keeps improving and she is able to walk more outside
now than she did before.
