WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 12/7/2016

CORRECTION: Last week in referring to the Fall rains of Israel as the "latter rains" I made a common mistake of Western thinkers - that latter equals later. Not so. It is the "former rains" that come in the Fall-Winter season while the "latter rains come in the Spring.

Priority Prayer Focus Dec 7, 2016

This year Hanukkah begins on Christmas Day.  Here is what I make of that:

The season for us to come together, Jew and Gentile in Messiah, is now. This is not the time to let arguments put distance between us, we are different by design - like a husband and wife - but destined by God to be made one in Yeshua.  Let Christmas and Hanukkah mark a new beginning of understanding that our destiny  bigger than both of us and is bound together for God's purposes in the King Yeshua.

Revive Israel sends reports from Evan Levin on the November Messianic Leadership Roundtable conference by Jewish Voice ministries see inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. Also Dan Juster's Strategic USA Trip Recap including the Int'l Coalition of Apostolic Leaders he attended with Akko congregational leader Guy Cohen.  There are video teachings by Ariel Blumenthal  The Chinese are Coming, Gil Agriat, pastor at Tiferet Yeshua New Wave of Outreach in Tel Aviv with Signs Following and Salvation Gospel or Kingdom Gospel? by Youval Yanay.

Also this excellent video: Overcoming Cancer | Eddie Santoro (Senior Pastor at Ahavat Yeshua) shares about his experiences from the last year of being diagnosed with cancer twice and then his victorious battle to overcome. This journey has increased his faith for healing and he is now seeing an increase of healings in those he ministers to!  Watch in English.

From Hasdey Yeshua, the Hebrew congregation in Arad, there was a great show of solidarity from the Arab pastors regarding the fires that were expressed to one of the elders of the congregation, Yo-Yakim. See inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary - there is a picture that will really bless you. The congregation updates us on both the challenges and advances they have been making in ministering to the Bedouin - children, women and men.

Pulling just one of the prayer requests: Please pray for these young people, especially the girls, who seem to be so carefree and smiling now but in a few short years they will be married off, perhaps to an older man, and be more or less imprisoned in their husbands’ homes, forced to cover themselves completely and bear many children, as Islamic tradition dictates. Islam is a religion that enslaves women. Pray that the light and truth of Yeshua will penetrate the darkness now, before it becomes much more difficult for them.

Speaking of exploitation of women, Jerusalem Institute of Justice founder, Calev Myers honors JIJ's CEO Flavia Sevald for receiving the Freedom Foundation Award for 2016 for her consistent and fruitful efforts at fighting the objectification and sex slavery of women, men and children in Israel. See her many activities that won her this honor inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Calev also added a post script regarding the Arson Terror Attacks Israel just sufferred: "I would like to thank all of those who prayed for Israel as we have faced over 550 forest fires in the last week, most of which were ignited by arson. I personally volunteered for a local initiative to patrol the forests around my neighborhood and help put out fires. It was encouraging to see the voluntary team-work and camaraderie within our communities, and to know that thousands of friends around the world were praying for us. With each new creative form of intifada, the resolve and unity within the Israeli society is deepened and strengthened."

Evan Levin who heads the HaTikva Project looks back over their 7th year of ministry and to "give honor to Promise Keepers for the critical role they have played and continue to fulfill. Seven years ago PK agreed to send me to Israel to establish the vision of HaTikva Project – a vision which was conceived at Promise Keepers to see the Body of Messiah in Israel built up and real needs met in the name of Yeshua. PK has been faithfully covering and supporting the ministry from abroad as it has developed here. It is PK’s direct involvement, and willingness to send me out, that has been the bedrock of HaTikva Project’s success. I want to simply honor, Coach Mac, Dr. Washington and the entire PK board for their support, encouragement and facilitation of the vision. Thank you Promise Keepers!  See their 2016 accomplishments and 2017 vision inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Ron Cantor sent a report on the Tiferet Yeshua "wonderful outpouring of healing power" that is going on as their people have been taking to the streets of Tel Aviv to pray for people. He writes that "many who have never had the boldness to share the gospel, have been taking the "Book of Acts' to the streets of Tel Aviv. Instead of preaching to people, they are merely asking if the Israelis they encounter have a need for prayer. They have seen dozens of healing! We have several testimonies, some on video, of people being instantly healed of severe back pain, disk problems in the neck and more, as well as chronic pains disappearing after prayer. This opens the door to share the good news. One fellow who came to faith, went out with a team the very next day to share with others!"

The Tikkun Int'l Ministries added this prayer request: "The Lord is moving in Tiferet Yeshua congregation and is awakening many to prayer, fasting and street evangelism. Please pray for this fire to continue so that God will work through us even more to reach many with the love and truth of Yeshua. Please pray for the Lord's protection over this move of the Spirit and that we will walk in love, humility and unity to defeat the enemy and advance God's purposes."

See more from Ron Cantor inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary including his article on Jerusalem: The most controversial city in the world.

There is something happening in northern Israel too as believers there have taken to the streets praying for people to be healed. We get a wonderful report of a recent encounter from Carolyn and Richard Hyde of the Heart of God ministry near the Sea of Galilee.  You can read it inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. It is another demonstration of how Israelis hearts are being opened to respond to the goodness of the LORD in the name of Yeshua. Pray for more Divine encounters as the believers go forth with signs and wonders.

Eddie and Jackie Santoro are also expressing deep appreciation for all who are participating with their Zion's Glory ministry. They look back to 27 years ago when "our destiny was transformed when God placed a passionate desire in our Jewish hearts to carry the Gospel to Israel. In those early days I prayed and sought God as to how we could possibly leave our home and all those we loved, leave the congregation we had birthed, our language and our financial base for the unknown in Israel. The challenge in front of us was like a giant mountain. I knew that in the natural we could never make it, but by his grace, we did not set our eyes on the natural but on Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith."

As Eddie, who has been healed of one impossible brain cancer and a tonsil cancer in the last 18 months, writes, "Our story is still unfolding. There is no retirement in God! As we live out our partnership with you, His wonders are being seen in an ever greater way. The sick are being healed. The congregation is flourishing and growing. The young are moving into their giftings. The lost are hearing and seeing the Good News of Yeshua as they spend time with us." Read more from the Santoros inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

The Kerem-El (God's Vineyard) congregation which is a part of the HaCarmel Congregation network went into helps mode as the fires in Haifa sent many into evacuation and also homelessness just a little over a week ago.  Their news contains new groups being formed within the congregation for both young adults and seniors for fellowship and friendship and the opportunity to grow in faith together.  They are also giving a 3-month discipleship program for their members which you can read about inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary along with their prayer requests.

Sally Shiff with the HaMaayan congregation in Kfar Saba sends a report of the arrival of the rains to Israel which all are welcoming.  She writes that prior to the fire outbreak she was at a training event which turned into a prayer event for rain, "Little did we know that we were only a few miles away from ground zero of the fires." God knew.  Read Sally's thoughts on all this inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Rachel and Gilad Netanel in Ein Karim catches us up after a 2-month absence on how they have been ministering during Succot to Jews and even Arabs.  Over 150 people came and ate with them at their garden succot booth - including 50 yeshiva students.  They really have the gift of hospitality that draws people to draw near to them as they openly share what Yeshua has done for them. I do not want to share too many details in public forum, but urge you to open and read inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Evan and Maala Thomas in Netanya, Beit Asaph congregation, write, "We wish you all a very blessed Hanukkah/ Christmas season! This year the first day of Hanukkah coincides with Christmas day. How fun is that for the Messianic community…it is either going to get very confusing or simply be a lot of fun…Christmas crackers and dreidels, or a Christmas turkey surrounded by potato latkes!!"

They are also taking a look back at a year of challenges and advances, with Evan's nasty bike injuries, surgeries and now 100% function restored to his left arm. Also their emerging generation of youth and young adults, as well as a large number of young people currently serving in the IDF. (All the Messianic families of Israel appreciate your prayers for their children serving in the military). Read the details of how to pray for their soldiers and also for their ministry to both Jews and Arabs in Israel inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

They write something important for Christians to lay hold of:  "Thanks for prayer offered during our times of national strife: for the continuous security challenges caused by young Palestinians radicalized by Jihadists operating throughout the Middle East, both within our borders and outside. The ‘lone wolf’ attacks that have begun to proliferate in Europe against vulnerable civilians have been almost continuous during this past year in Israel. Sadly, radicalism is not one-sided within the Land and our Arab populations suffer too from violence and injustices, particularly from some of our settler movements. It is so hard to live without tension and fear when a radical few from both sides are all-too-willing to ‘push the buttons of violence’ and politicians and newsmakers fuel the flames with inflammatory rhetoric. Please pray for us to be pro-active in raising-up the next generation of Yeshua-followers from both sides of the conflict – people who would be strong in faith and bridge-builders of peace – just as Yeshua is our peace and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us. "

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please see inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary to keep in prayer the Israeli ministry leaders and believers with urgent health needs including the fight for their very lives:   [Prayer list is unchanged this week, see inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary]

Praying the Headlines

Israeli Ministries on Tours  |  Avner and Rachel Boskey in Italy

NOTICE  There is a video circulating on Facebook and even among believer-news

sources that purports to be a case of a Divine intervention in a "Pillar of Cloud" on the Golan Heights and Syrian border which protected IDF soldiers from an attack by ISIS. The video shows many IDF soldiers taking cell phone pictures of a dark, massive cloud in the distance.  Many Christians believe the story that was started by religious news sources in Israel and it is spreading like wildfire.

The truth of the matter is that the IDF soldiers were taking cell phone pictures on Dec 1 as the snow and rain clouds began to enter Israel. Isis had nothing to do with the action that was first uploaded on an Israeli Facebook page Scoops.Rotter.Net and which was reported by Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Dec 1 with attibution of video to Scoops.Rotter.Net.  From there the religious sensationalized "an act of God" on Israel's defense.

It is a huge problem among the body of Christ that so many are willing to believe and spread false stories like this one. God DOES move miraculously, and the truth is, that huge cloud that brought in rain and snow to Israel is a divine intervention in the week following tragic arson attacks all over Israel. We praise God for the REAL acts of His mercy not made up stories like this "Pillar of Cloud" story.  It is so serious that there is such a low standard of proof accepted by so many believers.  We should not be duped so easily!

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 11/30/2016

Priority Prayer Focus Nov 30, 2016

As we were in preparations for our Thanksgiving dinners in the USA, terror-arsonists set fires across an extremely dry land of Israel. I have read that it will take 30 years to repair the damage done in less than a week of purposely set fires that spawned other fires. There is an opportunity here for the international Church to step up to help Israel with all the displaced people, re-forestation and re-building. Please consider doing that through donations to the Messianic ministries, allowing them to contribute in the name of Yeshua.  See valuable practical information on where to give in the Hasdey Yeshua report below, from Karen Davis at the Carmel Congregation,  and The Harvest of Asher note from Guy Cohen.

I do not want to over-spiritualize this, but I cannot shake the impression that the dry conditions in Israel due to lack of latter rains, is parabolic. That so much was burnt up because the latter rains were held back.  It is the praying Church, embracing what God is doing among the body of Messiah in Israel, who call for the latter rains to fall - in the natural and spiritually. Let's take up this call for the latter rains to begin to fall upon the dry ground of Israel. And thank God that the fires set by the enemies of God's plans for Israel, did not take lives.

Most of this prayer letter will focus primarily on updates from the ministries about the fires - some 2,000 - that burned across Israel over the past week. (Other emphasis letters will be carried over to next week). The fires are out now, let us pray for rain as even Tuesday morning the skies over Tiberias were showing indications rain was coming. Some of these prayer letters were during the fires, some afterwards. Some we are just passing along their own personal reassurances they are okay. It is important, and I know you desire to hear those reassurances as much as I have. It is hard to understate the impact of these fires - probably half of which were terrorist arson - on the people of Israel.  Note the date highlighted in yellow as some came in as early as Thanksgiving morning:

Early Thanksgiving day I received a special secondary email from Moaz ministries as the fires that began in the Carmel mountains and Judean hills began to spread in many places through Israel.  Their report from a Lebanese pastor in Haifa, Joseph Haddad, that a fire was started near the firehouse, began to create the suspicion that some of the fires were not natural causes, but instead arson-terror.  That has been later shown to be the case. You can read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Hasdey Yeshua, the Hebrew congregation in Arad assures everyone they are fine and appreciative of the response for their safety.  They have given great tips on how to give, such as "Please do not send any offerings for fire victims to Kehilat Hasdey Yeshua. Thankfully we are located far from the fires and at the moment don’t have a warehouse or other facility for distribution of goods. The Israeli government makes it difficult if not impossible for one non-profit organization to donate to another because they fear groups funneling money to terrorists. Very understandable!"

The congregation has supplied suggestions for giving in the relief effort including Kehilat HaCarmel, The Hadadit Fund An arm of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of IsraelThe Joshua Fund and The Joseph Project Outreach of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America  Get more details of the focus of each of these operations inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Eddie Santoro of Ahavat Yeshua asked prayer for rain as the fires began on the 24th. Today we hear from them that no one from their congregation was affected by the fire, but as they are surrounded by national forest land, the fires close by the Yad Hashmona village were threatening at one point.  Eddie reports there is a 3-day rain in the forecast and that ask for prayers that it will come mightily.

Also  inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary is the Santoro's report from a ministry trip to Italy last week , "This was our first trip out of Israel in nearly two years as we have spent the past 16 months in a battle against the demonic attack on my body. Our ability to pack our suitcases and travel to Italy for a week of both ministry and rest was another page in the ongoing and wonderful testimony of our victory over the powers of darkness. Praise God the cancer is gone and we are going out in a new power and authority that God has awakened within us as a result of this life and death battle we have fought!" Prayer Needs for the congregation are also included.

One of the first messages we received was from Ronit Bender's son with an urgent request as his mom was being evacuated from her home. She was able to get a few things from the house but was unable to take the time to send out the prayer request message from her computer.  Today Ronit updates, "The fire was very close to my home. I was evacuated with 80,000 other people. I slept at friend's home in Isfiya, and returned the next day home. Even until now the air is thick, and it is hard to breathe. The city of Haifa is full of grief, as so many homes were either burned of effected by the fire. Our Hebrew congregation gave out food to the fire fighters who risked their lives so many times, and offered blankets and clothes to those needing them. We are praying for salvation to our heartbroken people. Only the comfort of the Lord."

Orna Greeman of A Sign & An Example ministry wrote her update online, Israel on fire.  This is where Orna is posting her ministry communications these days. You can sign up for her excellent news and insights.

Brian Slater offered a prayer just days before the breakout of the fires:  "Lord God, You came to give honour to the least, those forgotten, overlooked and misjudged. You came to give first place to the last, those left behind, misunderstood and undervalued. You came to give a warm welcome to the lost, those who are orphaned, abandoned and destitute. Help us to be your ears to listen to their cries. Help us to be your voice speaking out love and acceptance. Help us to be your feet walking beside those in need. Help us to be your hands to clothe, feed and shelter them. You came for the least, the lost and last of this world. Lord, hear our prayers. Amen!" Brian does humanitarian outreach in the Netanya area via his ministry, Abundant Bread of Salvation.  He asks simply, "Please give the gift of love with a donation of any amount showing how much you care and are thankful for the ministry that we do."

From the Dugit ministry of Avi and Chaya Mizrachi, "Our fire fighters have been working for 3 days around the clock. Our prime minister, Bibi Nethanyahu, asked Russia, the USA, and other countries to send their airplanes to help us to put out these wild destroying fires.  We are so thankful that they have responded!... JOIN US IN PRAYER | We are asking you all, our beloved prayer partners, to pray with us. Please pray that God will send the rain clouds from the west to stop all these destructive fires and bring restoration to our people Israel! We believe that the harvest in Israel is ready.  As always, please continue to pray with us that the Lord of the harvest will send the laborers and the power of the refreshing waters to bring the harvest into our barn!

Carolyn Hyde of Heart of God Ministries took a prayer journey through Haifa after the fires to survey the damage and pray over it. She writes, "Thank G-d for no loss of life and that we've rounded up 23 arson suspects. Please pray for those who lost their homes. Some say it's judgment but what would you say to the Haifa firemen who responded to the first fires and while preparing to send out more firetrucks, had to put out fires that were lit all around the fire department?! That's called terror - plain and simple!

On the way home I stopped by the side of the road twice to write, and both times armed guards approached my car to see what I was doing there. I was impressed! Our shomrim are on the lookout so join me in praying that we'll supernaturally catch terrorists before they can act!

The City of Haifa called upon a local Arab pastor to help gather people to volunteer for renovations and cleaning up damaged homes and apartments.

Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem gives a wrap-up of the fires that began last Tuesday writing in the aftermath, "By Sunday, as the fires came under control, the scope of the devastation began to emerge.  In Haifa, according to some reports, over 500 homes were completely destroyed, and at least 1,700 residents were not able to return home Saturday night, because their homes were too damaged. Other communities heavily damaged were the Jewish village of Halamish in the West Bank, and Nataf in the Jerusalem hills. It is estimated that as many as 32,000 acres of natural forests and brush were destroyed.  Already, the week’s fires are expected to be among the costliest in Israel’s history. Now things are quieter. The winds have died down.  Rain is finally predicted for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Miraculously—in the turmoil and destruction caused by the firestorms, no one has died! " See also Martin's prayer request for the aftermath of fires inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

From Sally Shiff of the HaMaayan congregation in Kfar Saba, "We are good in Kfar Saba. I was in Haifa last Thursday and had to evacuate back to Kfar Saba so that where I was staying could take in those whose homes were lost. On the way home saw the fires. Instead of just one day of expected rain, the forecast is for 3 days."

Guy Cohen of the Akko Harvest of Asher congregation lets us know that the need for individuals and families whose homes were destroyed in the fires in Haifa is expected to increase over the next week. Some evacuated to temporary safety, now will come the effort to place them in longer term living spaces.  He also sent us an appeal from the Haifa Foundation who are concentrating their efforts on the schools: "60,000 residents were evacuated from their homes; 1,600 remained homeless and are being taken care of by the municipality. More than 500 apartments are still found to be uninhabitable. Schools are unusable, leaving students to be bused to other facilities far away from their homes. Kindergartens and schools are gone, meaning these youngest residents of the city will be moved to unfamiliar surroundings in temporary arrangements. More specifically, 11 educational institutions were damaged by the fire, among which 9 were kindergartens. Three (3) of these institutions were badly damaged and are in dire need of assistance. " See inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary for more specific information on how you can help.

Youval Yanay is the CEO of Revive Israel. Here he gives a short video tour of the damage done near
the Yad Hasmona Messianic village
where many Revive Team members live and work. He tells of the civilian patrols they set up to protect against arson attacks on their village.

The Carmel Congregation has already jumped in with all hands on deck to help out in serving the community needs of those burn out in Haifa. They write, "Several of our Kehilat HaCarmel and Kerem El families were among those evacuated, and we were able to house many of them at our Beit Yedidia community center in central Haifa where the fires had not reached, as well as at the top of Mount Carmel at our Or HaCarmel Ministry Center. . . .

On Thursday, many Haifa families were evacuated to the Haifa Auditorium very close to Beit Yedidia and we were able to immediately bring them mattresses and blankets. The next day at Beit Yedidia, our staff and a team from Kerem El packed water and food bags and took them to the auditorium to comfort the evacuees.

That same day, Yousef Dakwar’s Haifa Arab congregation packed 350 sandwiches and took them to the Haifa firefighters who were working unceasingly.  Other Messianic congregations in Haifa were also reaching out in various ways with humanitarian aid.

We are now in the process of gathering information from the Haifa Municipality and others, regarding possible ways that we can continue to bring relief to the families who have suffered property loss during these recent fires. For those of you who have inquired about sending donations for fire relief, these can be sent by bank transfer directly to our main congregational account {See inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary}

Israel Pochtar sent us this dramatic photo on the 25th. A fiery inferno that is a miracle no lives were lost in anywhere in Israel.  Israel also sends news of their ongoing fundraising for renovations of their new congregational building which begins in Jan 2017 and special outreach projects they have for Hanukkah and Christmas. Please read all about these opportunities to reach out to the huge Russian Jewish community they minister to in Ashdod and surrounding areas. It is inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.

WEEKLY Arrows from Zion 11/23/2016

Priority Prayer Focus Nov 23, 2016

It is the day before Thanksgiving in the United States - a day where women across the nation are busy making special dishes for their family get-togethers.  That is also how I will spend the rest of this day and remembering the wonderful Thanksgiving family gatherings of my youth filled with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and family friends.  It is a blessing to be an American. My dad's family arrived here in 1638 when our forefather Edward arrived in Virginia from England in 1638. We have generations here in this land and I am thankful for that heritage.

How much more is the emotional investment of heritage by the People of the Book in the Promised Land?  Today I am thankful to God who has restored the Jewish people from exile to the Land of Israel. From reading Isaiah thirty five years ago, I understood that if God's promises to the Jewish people were faithful, then His promises to me would be faithful too. I give my thanks to the faithfulness of God for His promises which I witness every week in this prayer summary. God bless the United States of America, and God bless the people of Israel whom He has set apart for great blessings and a joyful destiny. Through it all, God is faithful.

Joel Jelski gives an exciting report of his time in a Middle Eastern nation meeting with former Muslim, now Christians and hearing about what God has been up to - like the 8000 Sunni Muslim and Yazidi refugees from Iraq and Syria who had given their life to Yeshua and had been baptized in the last 5 years alone.  Joel writes, "It's easy to think that tens of thousands, if not more, have come to know Yeshua in the last 5 years. This is unprecedented growth of the kingdom of God in a region once so closed to it. I'm filled with hope today more than ever that the Middle East is rapidly changing, in ways you will not hear in the media." That is call for great rejoicing! To know more, please read inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary  There is also a report on their trip to Cypus for a conference with the Teens.

It seems like it has been a major year of transition for many, including the Carmel congregation of David Davis, with Dani Sayeg now Senior pastor.  They write, "... we are seeing the fruit of many years of labor as the Lord continues to bring in His harvest. Many have been coming to faith in Yeshua (Jesus), both native-born Israelis, as well as Russian-speaking immigrants, and even Holocaust survivors, through our various evangelistic outreaches. These include our humanitarian food and clothing programs, dinner outreaches, evangelistic teams going to homeless drug addicts and prostitutes, bus tour outreaches, internet video projects, and our weekly Shabbat meetings where the presence of the Lord can be experienced powerfully by unbelievers who visit the congregation."  Read more specifics and get contact information inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.

You will especially love the report from the HaCarmel Video Outreaches, their last one reaching over 3.5 million people including some 700,000 Hebrew-speaking Israelis. The next video described inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary sounds like it was met with great response from Israelis on the street. It is now in editing and will hopefully be released in a matter of weeks - please be praying for it and read more about it inside the Weekly Summary where you can also find specific prayer points requests by the congregation for all of their outreaches.

From Revive Israel is a teaching article from  Asher Intrater Timing of the Rapture  and Dan Juster  End Time General Consensus.  Also a video teaching The Holy Spirit Anointing by Asher that you do not want to miss on how the same anointing that was on the prophets to write the scriptures is on us to read and understand the scriptures.  Also worship leader Tal Haroni of the Revive Israel Team shares her experience at the Global Gathering Jerusalem .

From our friend in the Haifa region, Ronit Bender, "My time on the streets of Tel Aviv is over, at least for now. It has been an intense season, heart breaking at times.... Israel needs to get saved and there is much work. Please pray for me, as I seek the Lord for the new direction in this new season for my life. There are many needs, and many options, but only  His direction I will follow.  I want to express my appreciate for your prayers -- not only now, but for the past 11 years since Tom and I returned. Without them I doubt I would be here to continue. Also, for those that support me financially - THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

While in Jerusalem for the ICEJ conference, Ronit had a "chance" encounter with a rather famous religious Jewish advocate for  the Temple Mount. It was an unexpected encountered that was very encouraging and if you want to know more, then you must open  the attached DOCX Weekly Summary to  read about it and see the picture. I know this, it doesn't take a prophet of God to see when the Lord's anointing is resting upon someone - anyone God shows can see it - and clearly He was showing it on Ronit that day at the Wall.

Howard and Randi Bass prepare for a stateside visit with family, something they have not done for a decade. Pray for a blessed trip filled with good things for all. Also when they return, Howard is going for a delicate hand surgery. Please pray for that as well.  In his report inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary Howard catches us up on the ministry to their young people entering IDF service, the teens, a Rawandan refugee who has been among them about to go to bible school in Texas, and many other things going on in this busy Negev congregation.  Howard wrote a post following the U.S. Presidential election.   I was also asked to do a short video about the one new man.

Guy Cohen of the Akko congregation writes a sort encouragement on our Father's Love and gives the congregational prayer requests regarding their children's after school program - the good, the challenging and the needs. See it inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Brian Slater of the Abundant Bread of Salvation in Netanya is really excited about an outreach they were able to do for the elderly recently and they have a new video clip, of a special Orthopedic Shoe Outreach, featuring the world renowned music of Lev Shelo, a group with a heart for the G-d of Israel.  They have also extended their outreach efforts helping a local Bible-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation center every month with $250 U.S. dollars worth of food products to the dozens of addicted and homeless that they take in off the streets.  Brian writes, "Please continue to pray for the refreshing of souls and give like you've never given before, so that we can continue to practically and spiritually provide for the growing needs of our community here in Israel.  The time is now and the time is short!   Please lift our team up in your daily prayers."

Shlomy Abramov reports that his wife Miriam's hernia surgery went well but had to be readmitted after unusual swelling occurred. She was released again later that day but asks prayers for pain management and the recovery period which is about 6 weeks at least. It is key because any lifting or strains during the healing period could lead to new hernias in the future. If any in the area could help out during the recovery period, they would love to hear from you.

Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem takes a deep dive into the uproar over the recent push to end the noise pollution of electronically amplified Muslim daily calls to prayer in Israel. While this issue is being addressed without an uproar in countries all over the world, the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to try to put Israel in a bad light.  Sarvis has the scoop on it, plus prayer points inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Priority Prayer Focus Nov 16, 2016

Do you think you are done? That the generation upcoming will not listen to you anymore? Some won't but some will. Keep running the race.

"Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me,  my God, till I declare Your power to the next generation, Your mighty acts to all who are to come." Psalm 71:18 NIV

In the United States we are thankful for the prayers of the international body of Christ for the presidential elections last week. Thank God it is over! We so appreciate the impact on Israel of who we elect as President of the United States, and the big plus of voting for Donald Trump is the fact that he is kinder hearted toward Israel than any Democratic president or presidential candidate in many decades. We are thankful to all the Israeli ministry leaders with the US as their homeland who urged prayer for the nation. Now, we ask that prayers continue to Trump as he moves into choosing his cabinet, counselors and into governing in 2017.

Ari and Shira Soko-Ram have some prayer requests on Trump: "... may the Lord bring him wise, godly advisors, and lead him in every decision he makes as the leader of the free world. PRAY that Trump keeps his campaign promises to Israel, and not succumb to pressure that is sure to come. PRAY for the relationship between Israel and the U.S. to get back on track, and for the U.S. to continue being our greatest ally."

Maoz also asks for prayer for a UK man being persecuted for converting from Islam to Christianity, quoting from the British Pakistani Christian association, ‘This part of Bradford has become a no go area for apostates (converts from Islam) and will soon become a place exclusive to Muslims if measures are not taken to correct the growing social malaise of fundamentalism.   The threat on "N" in the apparent safety of Britain has become so intense that 5 police armed response units with officers holding semi-automatic weapons were required to block roads, shield him and escort him to his new safe home when he went to collect some items remaining in his home.’  See further prayer requests for this man inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary Likewise, Maoz also has prayer requests for a minister in the West Bank they have been supporting who shares the Gospel in an area where it is punishable by death.

There is quite a glorious Recap of the Jerusalem Global Gathering last week shared inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary or at these links ARTICLE & LINK to VIDEOS of the sessions. We especially liked reading Asher's spiritual take on many of the things that took place as the Christians in the nations came up to Jerusalem to align themselves with the Body of Messiah in Israel. We saw numerous reports last week on Facebook as the conference was in progress at how powerfully charged the atmosphere was.

Also on Facebook, the Intl Dir of Revive Israel In a video tour of the Yad HaShmona Messianic village which we want to pass along underlining two points:  One is about two businesses that operate in the village - wine and bread - and a third business proposal they are very excited about - producing an anointing oil. Yes, you got that right: the wine, the bread and the oil from Israel's first entirely Messianic township. :-D

Now the second Point I want to draw your attention to is their request for prayers over a proposed re-location of East Jerusalem Arabs of the anti-Israel variety, into the valley next door to Yad HaShmona. There is a proposal to build an apartment settlement in that valley to re-locate Arabs in East Jerusalem. Now obviously the Arabs who are re-located are not going to be happy about that, so this becomes an intense threat to the Messianic village and the other villages surrounding. Revive Israel is requesting prayers of the saints regarding this government proposal.  For other news and information from Revive Israel inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Ron Cantor files this report on the activities of Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv and how they are stirring up the congregation to become bolder about sharing their faith, including sharing about some new initiatives they having coming up in the next month.  Read all about it inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. Also, here is every episode of Ron's new GOD TV Television Show, Out of Zion

The first time I went to Israel we stayed at the Beit Immanuel Guest House in Jaffa and really fell in love with it and the area. This is also the congregation that David and Michaella Lazarus lead. It is a historical site in Israel nestled into an area filled with the artistic crowd.  David is writing about the Tel Aviv municipal authorities demand that the upgrade their safety standards, specifically installing a fire extinguish system in the basement where the children meet. They must meet this Dec 1 deadline, and have already raised half of the $7000 cost to do this upgrade - or be shut down! You can read more including how to donate inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Dov Bikas writes about how much they have been able to help the homeless and addicted people who have come to their outreach center in Tel Aviv through the year 2016. It is really powerful to read that 70% of those who finish their rehab programs become sincere Christians. This speaks to ministry in Yeshua's name that rescues people everyone else has given up on. Dov shares many things in this report but we want to encourage you especially read what I have tagged as A MUST READ TESTIMONY. God is at work among them and you will understand how wonderfully reading this inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Here is a link to A Word from the Director of Dugit, Avi Mizrachi from the heart of downtown Tel Aviv we are filled with immense joy, because of the amazing things God is continuing to do here in the Land.  They also share this word Why Still Tel Aviv? and an article from Israel Insider | Avi's father, Nissim was just fifteen when the Nazis signed a peace agreement with Bulgaria taking full control of the country without firing a single shot.  For more, including the lastest on the congregational building project inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

From the Kehilat HaMaayan congregation that Tony and Orna Sperandeo in Kfar Saba lead, we get several excellent insights from their report including this one on the Feast of Trumpets service that I have sat through many time in Messianic services, but never realized this: "During this time, in synagogues throughout the world, the shofar is blown a hundred times to “awaken” man’s soul to seek God and evaluate his relationship with God and his fellow man."  I never knew all those blasts of the trumpets - the short and the long blasts - totally up to 100 trumpet calls. If you believe as I do, this is significant because the Feasts of the Lord that are in the fall season are the prophetic foreshadowings of what lies ahead as God begins to wrap up His Divine plan of salvation. Those 100 trumpet blasts speaks to the multitude of calls for the Body of the Lord to assemble themselves together and also to assemble themselves to the spiritual battle that is coming.

Also, " As the climate is changing from summer to winter, we notice changes in the spirit realm. As the days are shorter, and the nights grow longer, so too we notice that darkness is increasing throughout the world. This past summer, there were two 'concert events' that took place here in Israel. These events represented world religions. The goal was to unite the world into a false 'peace' through the works of man. One was through music and “energy”, and the other using a metaphor of the marriage vows between man and wife. All religions, they declared, are becoming united as one couple. These events happened in the very city that God calls His own, Jerusalem.  In Tel Aviv, earlier in the summer, one of the largest alternative lifestyle (LGBT) parades took place. Both the Prime Minister and Mayor of Tel Aviv heartily endorsed this parade. Soon after this parade, the streets of Jerusalem were filled with the same LGBT 'celebrators.' Darkness is covering our land."  Please read more from this excellent and spiritually insightful ministry letter inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Avner and Rachel Boskey of David's Tent sent out their personal ministry letter just befor leaving for Australia (see their full Austrailia, New Zealand and Italy itinerary in the Tours section).  Big news is the release of Avner's new book, “How to be Messianic without becoming Meshuggeh* (*crazy)” which you can read more about inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary and which is available on their website.

The Boskey's also share their parental pride in their son and daughter-in-love who are walking in the footsteps of the parents in teaching the Word and ministering in worship music.  Here’s a short clip of David teaching on Jewish Roots at the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles and Here are 2 clips of Jamie singing Psalm 100 and Come Alive  .  The Boskey's share more about recent ministry trips and their ongoing focus to establish a training center inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

From KehilaNews.com is a story about how a well-known Christian business, Chick-fil-A is teaming up with the Israel Firstfruits Center for Economic Advancement (IFC), to offer young Israeli believers an internship with Chick-fil-A. Christians in the US know there is a lot to love about this chicken franchise because of the Christian values and moral stands they take. This is really cool news:  Chick-fil-A investing in young Israeli believers, creates new internship program

Praying the Headlines

Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem has a great short article and prayer requests speaking to the need not only for Jews in the nations to make aliyah but also when they return to the Jewish homeland, that Israel would have place for them and be able to absorb them into society - including jobs. This is key and you can read it inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary
