Priority Prayer Focus Mar 8, 2017

"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”  Esther 4:14

It was not just a one occasion statement.  Since this event recorded 2,600 years ago in the book of Esther,  we have seen these same circumstances rise up repeatedly in history and in many geographic places where Jews came under threat. 

Not only that but now with the restoration of the modern state of Israel we see a new thing: the threat against Jews has been ongoing non-stop since 1948 in Israel but also increasing and spreading. The unrelenting threat began first to new State of Israel then decade by decade it has increasingly spread throughout the nations of the world.  Now year by year we are seeing the threat become so pronounced in many nations that Jews are emptying in nations across the world to seek safety in numbers in Israel.

Do you see what I'm saying? The attempted Nazi extermination of Jews in Germany ended the 2,000 era of "Haman" attempts against Jews within a single geographic area. With God's restoration of the State of Israel the era of worldwide "Haman" aggression began.  First in the immediate and continuing attempt to wipe Israel out, but now infecting the nations it has continuously spread out to encompass Jews in all the nations too. There is no longer a single geographic location of pogroms, but a worldwide persecution which will ultimately lead up to the prophecy that all nations would come up to war against Israel.

There has never been a greater need for God's Esther's, who are the worldwide church, to come to grips with who they are and to understand fully that they have been called into the kingdom for such a time as this. It is beyond what Esther might have wanted for herself, she finally had to grasp what God's intentions for her were in placing her in that position in the first place. That is what the Church must wrestle with and get too.

Avi Mizrachi of the Adonai Roi congregation in Tel Aviv and the Dugit Outreach writes Israel, A Country in Need. " Yeshua was interested in meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of His people. Often, it was the meeting of a physical need that opened the eyes of Israel to their Messiah. Here at Dugit we believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. "

They write, " According to a report recently published by the NGO, there are about 2,546,000 (31.6%) impoverished people living in the country. This includes 1,613,000 adults (29.8%), and 932,000 children (35.1%), according to the findings. More than a third of these children dropped out of school to help support their families. Almost 70% of the impoverished families earn an average salary of 4,000 shekels a month – about a thousand dollars (1/4 less than the cost of housing alone). When it comes to senior citizens, the statistics are not much better. Most elderly (94%) will say that the government benefits are not enough to live in dignity or to purchase bare necessities. The majority of elderly cannot afford a nursing home or in-home care. The homeless make up 10% of the poor people while the other 90% live in old homes or housing projects."

Please give through those who are ministering to the physical and spiritual need of Israelis. The House of Victory which is led by Eric Benson is a rehab ministry attached to the Carmel Congregation in northern Israel. Due to the high concentration of people with addictions and in the sex trade on the streets of Tel Aviv, many of the Messianic outreaches work cooperatively on the streets of Tel Aviv. When the reach the men and women on the streets of Tel Aviv, they are taken back to the rehabs located in various parts of Israel. This is not a glamorous work and it takes the heart after God's own heart to do this kind of ministry which is heartbreaking, but also glorious when lives are restored by the power of relationship with Yeshua.  Please read the ministry letter from Eric Benson for the past month and be encouraged by their steadfast love to minister in the name of Yeshua to those society does not even want to lay eyes on. We received a short note from Eddie and Jackie Santoro who said they were having a wonderful trip in the USA - their first in two years since Eddie was diagnosed with a brain tumor (which is gone now!) Glad to hear their trip home to New York and also to Florida has gone so well. We look forward to hearing more when they return home to Jerusalem.  Praise God for the testimony of GREAT healing for Eddie.

The Karem-El congregation, also connected to the Carmel congregation, has been placing a major focus on families over the past months. That continued in February with the Israeli "National Family Day" when the congregation met for a celebration together.  Recently one of their home groups volunteered at a youth center for Jewish Ethiopian immigrants, and another team at the congregation pitched in to clean up the beaches with the "Beautiful Land Initiative".  Read more about this congregation's activities inside the Weekly Summary attachment          where you will also see their prayer requests, including praying for their congregants serving in the IDF.

Arni and Yonit Klein of Emmaus Way write this month about an intensely specific prophetic word about their ministry which was received from a European prayer network, from someone they did not know and who did not know them.  What the intercessor saw was so precise and lengthy, that Arni writes, "Why did Father go through all the “trouble” to send this word in such an indirect manner? The bottom line for us is that it confirms our belief that we have been given a specific insight into an aspect of Heaven’s strategic battle plan, which consequently strengthens our resolve to pass on what we have received."   Read about it inside the Weekly Summary attachment . Daniel and Shirya Yahav pastor the Peniel Fellowship in Tiberius, also a family-oriented congregation, it is perhaps the largest congregation in Israel.  Part of the investment they are making in their families is the congregational learning center and kindergarten.  They have even developed a Messianic-oriented curriculum for teaching in their elementary and kindergarten.  Read more inside of the many ways this congregation is ministering to its families on parenting, schooling, youth and children's events. The youth even participate in serving in emergency rescue training and the their pastor, Daniel, serves in the Home Front Command, a reserves that protects their village.  You will find this an interesting read inside the Weekly Summary attachment              

Ron Cantor's March Update shares about the exciting growth at Tiferet Yeshua congregation (TYC) in Tel Aviv. If you are interested to know more about the Purim Feast that Israelis celebrate this week - the one taken from the book of Esther - all you have to do is read Martin Sarvis' weekly report inside the Weekly Summary attachment.  Sarvis writes,  "It is unfortunate that Purim has come to be regarded in Israel primarily as a minor holiday for children (often adorned in Halloween costumes from America). We bless the children, certainly—but for their very sake we believe it important that Israel take seriously all of the message of this season.  We encourage you to join with us in doing so!" He includes prayer points from Rick Ridings of Succat Hallel.

Israel Pochtar of the Beit Hallel congregation in Ashdod also writes about Purim and their many ways to doing outreach to the community celebrating the festival of Purim - like their Youth Conference that will minister to young people throughout southern Israel.  He writes, "This conference is called "Next Level: Step into your calling" and that is exactly what we want to encourage our youth to do, push through until they reach a new level of anointing and power. Our goal is to motivate them to find their place in the kingdom, as well as in the society they live in. Ruth Nessim  According to the blood tests, all is well with the cancer of the lymphatic system,  "But I am blind in one eye, with much reduced sight in the other. Pray for discernment for us all - in Israel and in the international church - as deception becomes an increasing factor in our daily lives from the daily news to the pulpit.  As it says in 1 Timothy 4:1-2, The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Let us keep the faith, speaking the truth in love.

In the first prayer excerpt this week, I have to tell you that I have such an absolute respect and affection for this lady, Ruth Nessim, who is a pioneer of the faith in Yeshua in Israel. Her prayer letters always touch and inspire me, but this one also moved me to tears as Ruth took a look back at her life in the walk of faith. From the Hebrew congregation in Arad, Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua), a report on a former ultra-Orthodox, now follower of Yeshua, who came to encourage the Arad Russian-speaking Messianic congregation who are being harrassment from the local ultra-Orthodox. "... he knew he had to respond, to come and encourage them. You see, he himself had grown up ultra-orthodox. He knew that the excessive anger and fanaticism demonstrated by them are not a cause for despair, but are a reason for hope. The congregation also gives an update on the Bedouin believer they had to take in due to danger and even threat to his life from his family and community after they found out he had come to faith in Yeshua.  The threat became so acute, he has had to flee the city in the middle of the night and is now in a secure place with strong believers. He does have other challenges in his life - the illegal activities he was involved with before he came to faith. Pray for this young man and read his story inside the Weekly Summary attachment            

Also in Arad, we heard from Lura Beckford this week who along with her husband Eddie have been in the crosshairs of religious persecution for longer than this prayer list has existed - and that is 16 years! Now Lura writes, "We just got a letter for Eddie today from our health insurance here in Israel. They have canceled his insurance since he is no longer a citizen of Israel (that's NEWS to us). We have 45 days to appeal it.  We can't appeal it until the Interior Ministry gives us formal notice. They are ignoring us and refusing to stamp Eddie's passport for his citizenship.  It's all quite illegal.  We have a lawyer who is working on it, but they are not responding to him either.  We need some specialized prayers! "

You may have heard this from other sources but a key member of the Beer Sheva Yeshua's Inheritance congregation which Howard Bass leads, was injured in his IDF service guarding Joseph's Tomb. A pipe bomb was thrown at him and it was packed with sharp shrapnel. Howard writes, that he is currently in Sheba Hospital never Tel Aviv : "David told us how the Lord protected him, in that only his hand was struck, and even though the second finger was 'dangling', all of the nerves and tendons remained intact. The doctors suggested an amputation, but he said "No", despite the longer process of recovery, from the doctors' viewpoint. He will need a replacement for the knuckle connecting the finger to the palm, and other cosmetic surgery. David is active on the worship team, and is growing in his personal worship of the Lord, and is a very positive influence on his peers.  He believes that God gave him a gift to play the guitar, and wants to get back to playing." Please pray for a miraculous full recovery.

Also Howard reports on a 3-car accident near Beer Sheva where three people were killed and three believers were badly injured.  Please read the details of these three believers, an Israeli from Texas, a Korean sister and an Israeli believer inside the Weekly Summary attachment.  A family in Yeshua's Inheritance has opened their home to the one woman who has been released from the hospital but wants to remain in Beer Sheva until her friends also recover. Please pray for them.

There is also a report about the young woman from the Ukraine that believers in the Negev and Tel Aviv are helping to raise funds for her treatment in Israel for skin cancer.

Among the good news from Howard Bass are two examples of actively seeking unity with the other believer ministries in Israel. Howard talks about things he and the congregation are doing with Dov Bikas, and also with Avner and David Boskey.  It is always encouraging to see ministries who are not affiliated per se reach out to fellowship together or to share ministry and teaching.  That is where God commanded the blessing - where brethren dwell together in unity.

Orna Grinman whose A Sign & An Example ministry is to orphans, widows and single parents shares a new blog entry, A little bit of Nachat | Waking up this morning I thought I knew the rules of the game. Earlier this week, 154 stones in a Jewish cemetery in Missouri were violated. Anti-Semitism worldwide was on the rise, and maybe it was time for me to bring my angle about this. But then I pulled up the Israeli news site and read that Vice President Mike Pence put on gloves, flew into Missouri and helped clean up the place.

Ron Cantor of Messiah's Mandate also has new blog entries this week, Nikki Haley Blasts Hypocritical U.N. Security Council and Angela Merkel: Islamic Faith not the Cause of Terrorism | Merkel makes the mistake of assuming that all non-Radical Islamists are peaceful. Joel Jelski reports that having finished all his courses and tests, all that remains is to finish writing two research projects before officially graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Education and Communication.  So now he is able to fulfill a promise to his wife of an extended visit with her family in Mexico and later in April he will spend a few weeks in Dallas - hopefully you have a group he can speak to. From Dugit Ministries, Avi Mizrachi gives a praise report on the repair of their water damaged prayer room and thanks for those who sent financial gifts to help meet their deductible.  They also may have a breakthrough in the purchase of a new property for their congregation. Israel Pochtar has a truly "Good Report" upon his return from a Jewish-Arab Reconciliation Conference in Turkey. The Lord is doing seriously wonderful  things among the Syrian refugees "who fled to Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon came in contact with local Christians in those countries, and now these refugees who were once in remote regions and completely unreachable with the gospel, were now reached and heard the message of Christ. God is doing some mighty miracles among these people, that doubtfully we will not hear about in the mainstream media. The Joseph Project in Jerusalem, headed by Jim Schutz, does a superb job as it partners primarily with Messianic distribution centers around Israel to distribute humanitarian aid to the needy in Israel. Jim writes, "We also help many individual families per pastoral recommendations and work with other Messianic ministries which are serving new immigrants and single mothers etc. These include Bead Chaim and ELY. Recently had about 50 reps of Messianic distribution centers for lunch and renewing of agreements."

First of all there is an update on the Special mailing I sent out last week about the call to witches to curse President Trump and all who helped him - there are additional upcoming dates they will be doing this through June, and also some excellent additional information from Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem.

Also multiple news headlines under the general topic of Anti-Semitism Increasing Around the World from Barry and Batya Segal's Jerusalem News Network in Jerusalem.

My Word

On his radio program yesterday, Mark Levin slammed biased media assertions that somehow President Trump was to blame for the rise of anti-Semitic activity in America. Levin said that instead, it was the Democrats sidling up to Islamists.

Without getting into the political weeds on this, it did strike a nerve with me because I keep seeing Israeli news people and newspapers making accusations against Trump being responsible for the rise in American anti-Semitism. That is 100% off-base.  

On Twitter, news emails and Facebook, recently there is reporting in Israeli newspapers who are parroting American Jewish groups accusing the rise in anti-Semitism on Donald Trump who they say has drawn out the hidden American White Supremacists.  The truth is that it is the  Islamist Supremacists that are the cause for the rise in anti-Semitism in America as they have in Europe. Islamist Supremacists have overrun our politically correct college campuses and have aligned themselves with every Leftist protest movement out there from Black Lives Matter to Feminist groups. Islamists do NOT align with these groups because they are really for those issues, but because they are infiltrating to infect those groups with Jew hatred and Israel hated (and Christian hatred will follow).

I want to WARN ALL MY ISRAELI FRIENDS reading those horribly slanted stories in your Israeli newspapers: You are not getting the truth from those American Jewish organizations who are deceived so intensely on this count they cannot see the real cause of rising American anti-Semitism. Let me tell you, they are making themselves odious to people who see the truth and cannot understand why Jews would believe such things. It needs to be pointed out repeatedly that the reason for Leftish Jewish accusations like this is because they are UNSAVED - they need salvation to open the eyes of the blind.

Worldwide the rise in anti-Semitism is not coming from White Nationalist Supremacists, but from the advance of Islamic Supremacists. In Europe they called Geert Wilders essentially the same as they are calling Donald Trump - to take the focus of the true culprits. Doesn't that phrase "Zion Align" grab you? It grabs me and I believe like these first entries this week that the season for the believers of the nations to "Zion Align" is in full swing!  Let's pray that those in the churches who have not believed that Israel was any big deal to the God or to the Church in these days would begin to experience the same awakening we had to the truth, and that they would put the feet on their faith of aligning with the Body of the Yeshua in Israel.

Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem  writes that we are in "A Season for Strengthening Ties" - something we have just seen take place in the United States with a new leader in our nation only one month. What a difference in the countenances of Israeli Prime Minister meeting with President Obama versus that in his meeting with President Trump.  No matter the blah-blah reassures that are given publicly, there is no mistaking the genuine feelings of dealing with those who dislike you versus those who like you a lot. Nevertheless, President Trump faces a truly unprecedented battle, and from my point of view, it is more because of his commitment to be a friend to Israel and an enemy to Islamist supremacy. The devil is stirring up radical opposition to Trump on every front, so please keep praying for this strategically important alliance to be solid and not to be sabotaged. 

But Israel is making outreach to strengthen ties in other nations too as Sarvis discusses inside the subscription only Attached DOCX Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries. We must not forget that even when we "Zion-aligned" believers are in a minority in our nation, that our prayers ascend to God and become multiplied when His answer returns to us on the earth.  Our Zion alignment has great impact our nations Zion alignment!

This prayer list is dedicated to concentrating on the laborers in the Lord's harvest in Israel. We believe that as more and more come to faith in Israel, that we in the nations will also see more salvation come forth. The first shall be last, Yeshua said, but the apostle Paul speaking about the impact of Israel's salvation in the last days said, "For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?"  Personally, I do not see that as meaning just the triggering of the Second Coming, but also that as Israel comes to faith in Yeshua, that it will trigger a wave of spiritual life all over the world among the peoples of the nations. As Paul followed that statement with this one:  "If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; if the root is holy, so are the branches.…" Things to mull in your spirit as you pray through the prayer requests from Israeli ministries featured here each week.

One prayer letter offers an exceptionally good report about being help to help recover a prodigal son they took in from streets of Tel Aviv a few months ago. Dov Bikas writes about a young man from a Messianic Russian family in northern Israel who they have been able to minister to at their Beer Sheva rehab. It is a really encouraging testimony related by the young man himself. You can read it inside the Weekly Summary attachment. Most of us who walk with the Lord know that prodigal sons happen in even the most faithful families. Please pray for all the prodigals in Israel, that God will give them the ability to recover their senses and come home to the genuine faith.

The Tel Aviv part of the ministry that Dov heads is now doing "night shifts" at the Aviv Center. Dov writes this was, "because the rainy season had begun in Israel and the people who live on the streets remain without shelter during cold nights. At first, we opened up once a week, then twice, and now we have night shifts four to five times a week. This became possible because new volunteers from Messianic congregations have joined us, all united by the same goal - to help needy people. We are happy Aviv Center is a place where Israeli believers can actively share their faith and serve the needy in many practical ways. At present nine volunteer teams work together in Aviv Center. This is about 45 people from different Israeli congregations and rehab centers. Please keep praying for this ministry." Israel Pochtar of the Beit Hallel congregation in Ashdod writes this week about a new ministry they have launched for the hearing impaired and it is an outreach that many of the hearing impaired in the city and congregation have been made very glad by. They are also doing outreach with a team from Australia, hosting an Australia Night at the congregation that saw 72 non-believers come to take part in the event. Wow! There is one thing about the Beit Immanuel congregation in Jaffa: the come up with some dynamite ideas for bringing the generations together in greater understanding and appreciation of each other. You will want to read about this great idea of bringing the seniors together with the youth to take part in preparing a favorite family recipe together - something that happens rarely in our modern lifestyles. Avi Mizrachi of the Adonai Roi congregation & Dugit outreach wants to thank you for your prayers for his dad who is doing much better and getting back to his normal routine. New on their prayer list, however, is the flood that wrecked havoc on their VIP Prayer Room - a pipe leak they are encountering resistance in getting insurance & landlord help with. They would appreciate your prayers for quick resolution and repairs.

Richard and Carolyn Hyde are about to depart for London and Wales (Feb 23- Mar 7). They are requesting prayers for "divine appointments on the streets, calling Jewish people to make Aliyah and sharing Messiah with whomever we can.  And we hope to reflect the love of G-d as we minister in churches.  Praise the L-rd for a Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18 double anointing that breaks the yoke and sets the captives free!"

Sally Shiff in Kfar Saba is the liaison and intercessor for the Hamaayan congregation.  She writes that the "prevailing theme" of the past 6 months of intercession "has been 'exposing corruption'. I prayed that in the national election of the US (God directed) and within 24 hours national corruption was exposed. Recently, our mayor here in Kfar Saba was arrested for corruption in our city (and 14 other officers). God is a righteous judge, and the people rejoice where there is a righteous standard coming from our leaders. God consistently impresses on me the responsibility of praying for our leaders, both in the government and congregation."  This is one of the ways God is using the believers in Israel to impact the integrity of their nation. Ruth Nessim "saw the doctor last week. According to the blood tests, all is well! But I am blind in one eye, worth much reduced sight in the other. Creating music to worship the Lord is the core of Kobi and Shani Ferguson's vision in the Israel Worship Initiative. The past year they have on "our shoe-string budget" completed two Hebrew albums and have four more albums in the works.  Most weeks this prayer summary highlights the efforts of the Israeli ministries in developing the next generation of Israel's pastors, evangelists, teachers, preachers and prophets. You may or may not know this but Shani Ferguson is the daughter of Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram of the Maoz Ministries in Tel Aviv. From the Maoz Ministry we also received a music-oriented ministry letter this week: An invitation to sponsor one of the Holocaust survivors who will be invited to the performances of Handel's Messiah in Hebrew by Messianic composer and conductor David Loden.  Read the details of this inside the Weekly Summary attachment

From Revive Israel we have the part 2 of Daniel Juster's teaching, Approaching the Bible's Teaching on Healing:  "So let us all pray for healing.  Let us build our faith for it. When sickness comes, let us first go to God and pray and seek to receive faith for healing. Let's pray for healing as long as the person is living. However, let us recognize the sovereignty of God in these matters and embrace the whole Bible and its teaching in these matters..."

Orna Grinman, A Sign & An Example, has a new blog entry writing, "Tomorrow is the 15th day of the Jewish month Shvat. All over the country people will plant trees, upgrade their yards and gardens, eat fruits and enjoy the fact that we are once again established in our land, able to enjoy it, toil it and reap its fruit. From Avi & Chaya Mizrachi of the Adonai Roi congregation and Dugit, a prayer request for Avi's father, Nessim, who fell from his bed.  He injured his head and face and lost a decent amount of blood.  Fortunately, they were able to get him to the hospital in a timely manner. He has been released from the hospital is doing well. The Mizrachi family would greatly appreciate your prayers for his recovery and a full return of confidence.  Nissim will be celebrating his 89th birthday next week!"

A real testimony of a great healing deliverance, Eddie and Jackie Santoro or the Ahavat Yeshua congregation, have been able to travel to the U.S. for the first time following the discovery a brain tumor in Eddie two years ago.  They will be speaking near Clermont, Florida, as well as in New York (Albany, Kingston and Long Island).  Get information on how to connect with them if you are in those areas inside the Weekly Summary attachment      

Ronit Bender has returned from her month in Perth, Australia with family visits and opportunities to speak in churches, prayer groups, ladies lunches, and Messianic fellowships. Ronit also writes that she shared at " a room in the centre of Perth by the train station where street people, drug addicts and prostitutes have to sit through a service, with worship and a message, before receiving a free dinner. When I got up to speak, a lot were asleep, because of the influence of drugs and alcohol. I clapped my hands and they woke up, and for 10 minutes they listened to a message about the love of the Father, and the power of a hug. Afterwards I offered them a holy hug, and found myself hugging many people. One or two got saved. A report came back that what touched their hearts most, was that we sat down with them and had a cup of tea, and looked them in the eyes. I love things like these.
