Priority Prayer Focus Jul 27, 2016
In a world that desperately wants to ignore the facts in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, rationalizing some terror attacks against Israel as justified acts of "freedom fighters" and outright ignoring other attacks altogether, the hypocrisy is increasingly reaping for nations what they have sown.
Throughout Ramadan we reported in this prayer summary the anxiety that had gripped Israelis as murderous attacks were made by independent attackers - some only teens, yet no less deadly in their sudden brutal attacks wielding knives or whatever was handy to kill innocent Israeli citizens with. Even strong in faith believers expressed a tension just going about their daily business not knowing where the next attack would pop up.
That was June. This is July. Like the tweet I saw from a deputy editor of
the Times of Israel, "Covering the news at the moment is like flashback to
horrors of second intifada, only on awful, terrifying global scale."
That is the reality that so many do not want
to face: we have entered into an era of worldwide Intifada.
Even faced with a terror attack a day, German authorities seek to cover up the facts that these are Islamic attacks being carried out on innocent Germans. Same in France. The citizens are not as easily fooled but the reality is, in the United States a major attack on the US Army base at Fort Hood, Texas was labeled by foolish authorities as a "workplace violence" incident. It did not fool all Americans, but the truth is even knowing the facts, there was nothing we could do to change the government cover up or policies that continued on. That is exactly what is happening in the European Union now, with the exception that the UK did manage to Brexit to staunch the free flow of Muslim immigrants.
In fact, even as terror attacks have been occurring daily in some European nations, the word from their authorities is that they remain committed to absorbing Muslim refugees; native citizens will just have to "get used to" terrorism. Tell me Israel, does anyone ever really "get used to" terrorism?

The worldwide intifada - terrorist attacks
intruding into the lives of Westerners - is a wake-up call regarding the
hypocrisy of nations in response to terrorism against Israel. Many who are suffering now will come to
realize that 'terror is terror is terror' but many others will continue to contend
that Israel is the exception and deserves the terror attacks it suffers.
It is our belief, this prayer summary having come into existence during the Second Intifada on Israel, that prayer can mightily impact the protection against terror attacks, limit the number of deaths and even completely thwart some of the schemes and terror plots.
As we pray for Israel, it is our admission to God that even if our own national leaders do not get it, we do: terror against Israel is the demonic force seeking to thwart Your plans for the nation of Israel. If we will pray understanding that, we also can pray for our own nations that like God overturns the murderous plans against innocent Israelis, He will also protect our people, as well, from the stalking plague of a demonic religion. This is the war.
Just yesterday, after this priority focus was already written and complete, an Islamic terror attack took place in Normandy, France as knife wielding jihaddis screaming "Alahu Akbar" and "Daesh" (Isis) brust into a Catholic church during mass, slitting the throat of a 84-yr old priest. A parishoner also had their throat slit and was fighting for their life at last report. One of the attackers had already been identified by French authorities, had an ankle bracelet monitoring his movements - but outrageously enough was allowed freedom of movement in the mornings.
Personally, I do not understand why the global threat of Islamic terrorism barely seems to even register on the spiritual radar of most of Christianity and Messianic bodies. We seem to still be living under the illusion that world governments have so carefully cultivated that Islamist jihad is not that pervasive or threatening. Look again and let this sink in: In the last 2 months jihadis have executed a terrorist attack OUTSIDE of Iraq and Syria every 84 hours. This is the war.

warfare we are in today - of the veil over the world today is a result of the

letter this week, we begin with the important developments and Michael Karem
urges us to understand the critical role of Turkey in the Middle East and to
pray over that nation. As we see in news reports this week, there is an ominous
new relationship also developing with Turkey and Russia. Karem writes, "The timing of this latest Coup attempt comes in the
wake of a reconciliation agreement between Israel and Turkey, a Turkish apology
to Russia for Turkey's downing of a Russian fighter jet and rapprochement with

The Maoz Ministries of Ari
& Shira Sorko-Ram notes the 10th anniversary of the Second Lebanon War, and
points out recent incidents that have placed Israeli military on heightened
alert at the northern borders (also incidents on the Syrian borders). Among the prayer requests: "PRAY for protection for all Israel's borders and for
God to keep all our soldiers and civilians safe. PRAISE GOD for His protection
and His miracles, which He continues performing for us."

I literally had goosebumps and
tears in my eyes as I read one of two wonderful praise reports this week in the
Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua) congregational prayer letter from Arad. The one
that really touched me deeply was about a teenager in the youth group who
although extremely gifted artistically began to withdraw to the point that he
barely spoke to anyone. "It was an emotional prison."
"Meanwhile in the youth group Yo-Yakim has been encouraging the young people to be bold in sharing their faith with others. One day the phone rang at N’s house. It was his school teacher. She was so excited and spoke in such rapid-fire Hebrew that N’s mother, who isn’t originally Israeli, could barely understand her. “N spoke!!!!” the teacher exclaimed. “Not just a few words but whole paragraphs!” What did he talk about? "He proclaimed that he is a Messianic Jew, that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah!"

witness! "Please pray that the miraculous transformation will
continue in N’s life and that the Lord will draw this teacher into His

Weekly Summary One last request, that

ministering in the US catches us up with this message recently preached in New

Barry & Batya Segal give a
report of their outreach in Israel to the poor and needy including Holocaust
survivors, at risk children, humanitarian provision from Joseph's Storehouse,
Foster Care babies, Emergency Medic bags for first responders & relief
organizations, their collaboration with the Terror
Victims Association for a scholarship project, and helping the Ashkelon welfare
department provide Bar Mitzvah gifts for boys from financially distressed

Brian Slater of the Abundant
Bread of Salvation ministry in Netanya gives his report fresh off a speaking
tour in England, which Brian says, "It was
absolutely amazing to be there among the British people during such an
uncertain political time of elections and be able to pray for them and share
about the ministry of Abundant Bread of Salvation in Israel." We see a distinct turning of the British
toward leaders who are well known to be strongly supportive of Israel. Please
pray that the British will recover their love of God and the truth, and that
they will be delivered from the trap that previous leaders have led them into
with Islamists gaining major foothold in the nation.
Brian must have hit the ground running and
re-energized as he reports that "Since returning from the U.K., another
four Jewish women and a man have prayed to receive Yeshua as their Messiah. My
friends, the Spirit of God is moving in the most amazing ways. Each one of these Jewish people, asked us to
pray for them and their challenging situations and the Spirit of God fell upon
each of them opening up their eyes and hearts to the power of God.

They also welcomed the Young
Messianic Jewish Alliance from the USA who came for a full day of volunteer
work with the ministry. "We celebrated together a
Royalty Meal, which was an event that will never be forgotten as they presented
songs, dances and sat around over 10 tables filled with over 30 Holocaust
Survivors. We were about 70 people total

Eddie Santoro of Ahavat Yeshua
(Love of Yeshua) congregation has begun "Bio" intravenous chemo
treatments for the cancer in his right tonsil and lymph - five days a
week. It is "grueling" but he
and wife Jackie are making the most of the opportunity to connect with and pray
for other cancer treatment patients. Pray for them and that God will use this
for His own purposes - that all cancer cells in Eddie's body will be
annihilated, cut off and not to rise again. Read more about their ministry at

write that response to their "We Need You" prayer letter was
overwhelming and brought true encouragement... and they say, We still need you!
Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem
writes on the 17th of Tammuz a three-week period
sometimes known as “the Dire Straits” ....The expression comes from
Lamentations 1:3, “All her persecutors overtake her in dire straits”
(NKJV). It alludes to calamities which
have overtaken Jews and Israel herself over the centuries during these three
weeks. The period ends on the 9th of
Av (25 July this year), when the First
Temple was actually destroyed. Although it is certainly true that the events
occurring during this period have given rise to superstitions and fallacies
over the centuries, we see it, nevertheless, as a time for special sobriety and
watchfulness among believers—especially as regards Israel and the seed of

Sarvis also writes about the
intercession for the TomorrowLand concert held in Jerusalem last Saturday and
gives an extensive list of prayer points for the Israeli military forces under
his writing "God of the Armies of Israel". Like him, we believe that
it is the spiritual armies of Heaven that are fighting with the physical
military forces in Israel: "We were so encouraged this week to learn that amongst
those who came into the Israel Defense Forces this summer were at least 64

Again, a prayer request for the their 18-yr olds entering army service: Many of the Tikkun-related ministries are sending their eighteen-yearold children off to start their army service with the Israel Defense Forces. There are several more that are in the midst of their two to three years of service. Pray that these believing young adults will remain strong in their faith, that they will not become disillusioned nor discouraged. Pray for their testimony to have impact within their units. Pray for good friends and lots of support so that they can make it through each day. Finally, pray for direction and acclimation for those who are completing their army service. Pray that they can find employment and that they have wisdom and guidance for where to live and how best to reintegrate within congregational communities.

UPDATE ON RONEN from Maoz: Last week we asked you to pray for Ronen. While there has been a slight improvement, he is still in a lot of pain and cannot be left alone at home. He did an MRI scan, and is now waiting for the official reading of the results, but one of the doctors said that from a first glance there's no apparent pressure on his neck. Continue to PRAY for Ronen's complete healing. Also PRAY for his wife and children, who are providing around-the-clock care for him.

for all believers in Israel who are in need of a healing touch. May the Lord descend from heaven and heal
them.
