Priority Prayer Focus Yom Kippur Oct 12, 2016

Pray for the Jewish people in Israel and worldwide as Yom Kippur is one of the appointed Feasts of the LORD that Israel is appointed to keep before God.  During these prophetic feasts God is showing Israel their way to Yeshua.

We begin with a report from the senior pastor of the Ahavat Yeshua (Love of Yeshua) congregation in Jerusalem on the Rosh Hashana (Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets) event where 500 Jews, Arabs and Gentile believers came together in unity to blow the trumpet in Zion.  Eddie writes that "...the shofar was blown amid great shouts, as we all declared the Kingship of Yeshua over the city of Jerusalem and of the world. There was a deep sense that as Jews and Arabs come together in Jerusalem and worship Yeshua something profound is being released which impacts not only the congregations in the Land but the nation as well."  He writes that there are plans already for another meeting with Jews, Arabs & Christians from the nations to gather in unity in Jerusalem.

From the northern Karem-El (God's Vineyard) congregation a report on the annual gathering of believers for a picnic in the Lavi Forest. This annual even brings together Jewish, Arab and Gentile believers in Israel for a day of fellowship, food and worship together. It has been going on for many years not and when we attended in the year 2003, it gave us goose bumps to realize the historical-prophetic unity that we were see there.

The Karem-El Congregation belongs to the Mt Carmel Congregation network and is developing a place where young believer families can thrive - not that the focus is only to the young, it is a healthy mix of generations with lots of activities to include all. Another ministry that is attached to the Mt Carmel  congregation is the House of Victory, a rehab ministry for men trying to break the chains of addictions. This is run by Eric Benson and housed on the property where the Carmel Assembly got its start 25 years ago.  Now, it will become the site of a new weekly meeting on Thursday nights for instruction in the Word of God by the Carmel Congregational leadership team.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

This is an intense work that is done among people that everyone else has pretty much written off as a lost cause - families, society, people who try to avoid contact with them on the street. But this House of Victory outreach team are regulars on the streets of Tel Aviv where addicts, prostitution and sex trafficking are the main people on the street.  Please pray for this ministry and all the ministries who pull these human beings out of self-destruction and lead them to repentance through the goodness and mercy of God.  Pray for their financial support to increase - that God would stir up hearts to snatch these rejects of world from the demonic fires their lives have become.

Jacob Damkani writes an encouraging word not to ever give up our expectation of the LORD's careful watching over us because even when it seems the answer is taking too long, God is perfecting our character for Himself.  Please continue to pray for Jacob's battle with health - that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.  And read his reflections on the recent art installation called  “The meal that cannot be reached" which was a banquet table set but suspended chairs and high above the street.  As you might imagine, the evangelist's thoughts when to the spiritual banquet table that is set for Israel, that most of Israel has not reached yet. Ronit Bender is one of the women from the Mt Carmel and Karem-El Congregations who is part of the outreach team for the House of Victory when they travel weekly to minister on the streets of Tel Aviv.  She has deep heart for people of all types, and also for the addicts and prostitutes they go to show the kindness of Yeshua to. This week there are several items that will give you insight into the work they are doing, as well as Ronit's own heart commitment to it. It is enough that while sitting in a Tel Aviv coffeeshop, Ronit was called out by name by Israel's Finance Minister who was passing by. Himself a person who really tries to help people, he apparently had seen her in the area before and found out her name and the work she was doing there among  the desperate Israelis on the street.  She was greatly shocked that he called her by name... when you are ministering in the love of Yeshua you may be unaware of all who are watching. Arni Klein of Emmaus Way brings a greatly encouraging report from the trip he made with Claude Ezagouri  and Andrei of the Morning Star Fellowship in Tiberias to Mainland China.  Arni writes, "The church in China is awakening to Israel. These are humble, teachable, childlike people with a deep desire to worship."  They see a powerful interchange between the body in Israel and the body in China about to explode - please read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary  Arni also gives information on a special weekend gathering in central Germany that is in the works for Feb 2-5.  This is another strategic alliance between the Remnant in Israel and Christians in the nations.

Ruth Nessim, fresh from a trip to the UK comes back with an incredible story about relatives she has never known who reached out to her due to connections made on the internet. This reconnection with Jewish relatives in Europe stems from Ruth's great grandmother and grandfather, who came from the Polish Russian border in the 1880's. Among the relatives are brothers who did not know they were Jewish after their mother married an orthodox man and they became Quakers! Also an Aunt who was a secret Christian  and a now demolished enclave in London called Harod's Place where Ruth's father had lived. Howard Bass of the Nachalat Yeshua (Inheritance of Yeshua) congregation in Beer Sheva gives a very interesting view that even though the real Jewish New Year is not in the 7th month as the exiled rabbis redefined it, Howard believes their decision to do so has spiritual significance because it is not until the latter fall Feasts of the Lord that the harvest of Israel will come into salvation. Avi and Chaya Mizrachi, along with all the Dugit staff, ask for your prays for Israel during Yom Kippur: "We believe that this is a powerful time in which many will encounter Yeshua, the Lamb of God! We humbly ask that you would join us in prayer today and tomorrow.  We are praying that the Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts of Israelis to receive a revelation of the true lamb of God who has taken upon him the sins of us all....Yeshua the lamb of God! Please feel free to fast on this day as well."
