Priority Prayer Focus Sep 27, 2017
We are headed into Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, a most holy day in the Biblical Calendar for the Jewish people. Pray for God to pour out the revealing of Yeshua's atonement upon many in Israel during this high holiday season. Increase the Presence of the Holy Spirit in the land of Israel with His people.

This week we begin with a
request for intercessions to be made from Avi and Chaya Mizrachi of Adonai Roi
congregation and Dugit Ministries in Tel Aviv:
On October 10-13th, a significant first will take place in Jerusalem during the festivities of the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot as it is known from the Biblical Fall Feasts of God. During this season it is quite usual for Israel and especially Jerusalem to be overflowing with Christians who come to celebrate the feasts at many conferences that are conducted by Christian ministries. What makes the "Welcoming the King of Glory" conference different is that this marks the first time that the Israeli ministry leaders were asked to be both the organizer and leaders of the conference that would host ministry leaders and participants from the nations.

With the terrible terror
attacks over the last few days, I want to again quote Eddie Santoro of the Ahavat
Yeshua congregation from last week: "We
live in this reality every day. The battle that is raging around us is mighty
on many fronts. There is every 'natural' reason for fear to raise its ugly
head. But we have chosen not to look to the way of this world but to trust in
God. His way is our way and His victory is our victory. We step out in faith
and the wonder of God surrounds our life. We are committed to stepping out in
faith also in sharing Yeshua with those we meet."
Returning to the prayer
requests and ministry letters we received over the past week, from the Revive
Israel ministry of Asher Intrater, a special
offer on his new book on Global Alignment which is
RECOMENDED READING. A change of identity is
occurring in the international Church and in the Messianic remnant. The change
is a switch from "them" to "us." This change of identity is
to some degree a redefinition of the Ecclesia. It is the Church and Israel
identifying one with another. Read more

Also from Revive, a video commentary
from Asher on a recent recurring question in Israel: Who is a Jew? Also an update on the Gateways Beyond
conference Geneva:
Reviving Hope at the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. "We're on
the cusp of another great move of God in Europe." Dan and
Ben Juster will be teaching in a School of

following the Geneva main conference. Learn more by click links.
Howard Bass of the Yeshua's
Inheritance congregation (Nachalat Yeshua) in Beer Sheva opens his letter
discussing the observance of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, on this coming
Friday and Saturday. I encourage you to open
the Weekly Summary attachment to read his full comments. "For those who know the Lord, God has turned this day
of trepidation to one of joy and thanksgiving, as Yom Kippur is considered the
day of judgment." Howard encourages all to "Please pray, and also
share your faith, for the salvation of more Jewish people, that their eyes and
hearts would be open to the Word of God."
There are many other updates from Bass inside the Weekly Summary attachment and
he also shares a couple of his
messages, one preached in Singapore of Israel's
importance to Singapore and the nations.
They have posted an audio file of the 1hr 9min sermon Scroll down to Aug 27 on
their site . Also one of his teachings
from the book of Mark He "Sold His Soul For The Price of A Killed Slave"
Sally Shiff who is the liaison for the Kehilat HaMaayan congregation in Kfar Saba, as well as a lead intercessor, writes about their congregational doing during the high holy days including a special intercession leading up to Yom Kippur [Find their target prayer list in the 9/13 Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries]
Sally writes, "I cannot tell you how I sense with all my heart the coming harvest. Just last week, a couple in their 50's accepted the Lord. He has stage 3 or 4 cancer, and their son also has epilepsy. Friends since nursery school with Dannie Meyuseff, you can imagine the joy that Tammy and Dannie had to see their dear friends come to the Lord. It is truly His loving kindness that is bringing our people home." [Dannie Meyuseff is among those on our prayer list below in need of healing]
Olga Bikas, the wife and ministry partner of
Dov Bikas of the Aviv Ministry in Tel Aviv, is also on our list for needing
healing. Since her back pain is not responding to treatment and medications,
now doctors are talking about surgery. The Bikas have a Russian-speaking congregation
in Beer Sheva and their main outreach is done in among the drug addicts
and victims of sexual abuse in south Tel Aviv. Read about their work in Tel
Aviv and Beer Sheva inside the Weekly
Summary attachment.
One exciting development for ministry, Dov writes is, "Recently a representative of a small union of
churches in Russia visited us and offered very important help. The union is
willing to start sending ministers who would come for a period of one month at
a time to live in our rehab center and help us care for and disciple our
rehabilitants. We are very happy for this partnership and are praying for its
successful implementation." Praise
be to God for the churches who understand their place of ministry in Israel is
alongside the believer-citizen ministries there.
The
Sept issue of the Maoz Israel Report contains an article by Tamas Afriat, A New Song Arises. Aslo from Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram, from the weekly ministry letter of Maoz: Ari and
Shira have just returned from the Far East. Pray for much fruit to come from
their teaching time there. Also the report of a potential terror attack against
their Maoz office in Brazil - an attack which failed. Read more inside the Weekly Summary attachment and pray over the development with them.
Katy Smith, who writes the weekly letter for Maoz, also senses a shift in the season of harvest in Israel: "I believe with all my heart that very soon, God will move in a mighty way in this nation as He promised. Many speak about signs in heaven, but we here in Israel are witnessing greater signs on earth about which Yeshua spoke, and that will come before He returns. We see Israelis come to know their Messiah. We see God raising up the standard (the level of quality according to one of the definitions) in the body of believers against the flood of the enemy. I know every generation thought they were to be the last one before Yeshua returns, but, if we believe the Word of God, we may actually be the one—because of these signs."

Ronit Bender in Carmel announces a new ministry outreach she has launched among the elderly in Haifa. Did you know that Haifa has the largest population of elderly people in Israel? She notes that there are many outreaches to Holocaust survivors and addicts, but the elderly are often overlooked. As she wrote, "A childhood friend of mine, who is a doctor, oversees the geriatrics in the city. He tells me thousands of them sit either at home, or in nursing homes waiting to die. This is the group, I believe, the Lord wants us to reach." The ministry she has launched is called “Schlepping” (a Yiddish word that means “to carry”) and the volunteers serving with her in it are already being a huge blessing to the elderly. You must read what they are doing inside the Weekly Summary attachment.
It is surely a sign of the
times that there is so much disregard for the elderly in the world today, even
viewing the elderly as a burden to be rid of rather than cherished. Surely this
is an area that our faith should be a shining example of - just the opposite of
the dehumanizing of the elder that we are seeing on many levels in society. Ronit's example in the Schlepping ministry is
one that it would be great to see picked up by many others.
Many of you have traveled by
boat across the Sea of Galilee while visiting Israel, but last week Ron Cantor
of Messiah's Mandate swam across the lake! He did it with 10,000 other Israelis
but Ron did it to raise the $50,000 Matching Funds pledges towards much needed
capacity doubling at Tiferet Yeshua, and installation of live streaming
equipment. WATCH VIDEO here
Ofer Amitai, Eliyahu Ben-Haim and Chuck Cohen are Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem. Last Friday in their
"Friday Prayer Points" they covered the issues currently facing
Israel, along with a goodly list of prayer points and scripture verses to pray
along with them. The salvation of Jews
during the high holy days, Israel's security ("For Israel to be saved,
they need to be alive"), prayers for the government, the IDF, Netanyahu
and Trump, "land-for-peace" deals, aliyah (For all praying believers who think that the Jews will be slaughtered
here – and thus are hesitant to pray for aliyah – turn them to Your Word: Jer. 31:10) and the intercessions of the
Church for Israel's salvation - these are all topics that you will find prayer
points on inside the Weekly Summary
attachment.
Ben Juster who is the
operations director of Tikkun International Ministries sends us their monthly
prayer requests for the Tikkun Network ministries, including Avi Tekle (Tents
of Mercy), Guy Cohen (Harvest of Asher), the several congregations and the
Revive Israel team that have been participating in the 40-day fasting and
prayer that culminates on Yom Kippur, upcoming significant holiday conferences
in Israel, and the participation of Dan and Ben Juster in the Geneva conference
with Bedros Nassanian of Gateways Beyond, Geneva.
Read all these prayer requests inside the Weekly Summary attachment
Ben also has a wonderful and
anointed word about the Day of Atonement when the blood was offered for the
people of Israel, sprinkled on the cover (the mercy seat) of the ark of the
covenant. Ben relates some things about
the ark of the covenant that you will want to read and you can find it inside
the Weekly Summary attachment
