Corona Closes Israel

Making news today is Israel asking all non-citizen visitors to leave
Israel in the next few days and announcing that Israeli citizens re-entering
Israel will be under a self-quarantine for 14-days. These extraordinary steps
to protect Israel from the spread of Coronavirus is unprecedented but in light
of the damage that could be done with tourists from all over the world pouring
into Israel over Passover and Easter, it is not surprising.
It is difficult to know exactly why such alarm has risen over the Coronavirus,
probably because of the dramatic steps China was seen taking to disinfect even
the concrete streets of Wuhan in the early stages. That certainly did not look
like steps in a run of the mill flu-like virus, but you can never really know
what is truly going on with China whose government is a Revelation-level
"Beast" government. They do not care about their own people and they
do not care about the people of the nations.
We see now that the Coronavirus outbreak has impacted the seats of power
in Iran, which seems a little crazy. How did the virus leap from Wuhan, China
to Tehran's Islamic leadership? Why did it come on so strong in Italy? The
world has more questions than answers, but what we have in the faith of Yeshua
is Divine perspective.
For example, Ron Cantor wrote in the latest Tikkun Global Weekly
email, "I want to encourage you as we face this pandemic together. Panic
is not from God. Elana and I were watching the news the other day, and we could
both feel this sense of fear and dread coming on us. The next morning we prayed
to break the spirit of panic. The word “Panic” means, “pertaining to Pan.”
"Who is Pan? A mythical
god who would let out a demonic scream each afternoon that would produce fear
in all who heard it. When you panic, it is giving in to irrational fear.
Instead, let’s obey God’s wisdom. Yeshua said when we see these things happening,
'see to it that you are not alarmed.'
(Matt. 24:6) Be of good courage—your name is written in heaven!"
Chaim
Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center wrote this, "This morning
the command by God to his General, Joshua, is ringing in my ears, “Be strong and courageous”. As Joshua
stood there, many things were behind him: the Exodus from Egypt, the Wilderness
wanderings, the giving of the Ten Commandments.
Before him was the task of leading the children of Israel into Aliyah to the Promised Land. He had to exercise big faith to topple big bad guys and execute precision operations with what could only be supernatural strategy. Three times in this passage Joshua is commanded by the Lord to be strong and courageous. (Joshua 1:6, 7, & 9). And even that wasn’t the first time.

This call for Joshua to be strong, I think is the call for all of us now.
There are a string of events unfolding: Fear is counter-Aliyah. The way God works is that when we have our
backs against the sea, we can stand and see the salvation of the Lord. The Red
Sea and then the Jordan River gave an “Aliyah standing ovation” and the enemies
of Israel trembled as miracles continued to happen.
1 Cor. 16:13 Be on
your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Eph. 6:10 Finally,
be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
2 Tim. 2:1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace
that is in Messiah Yeshua.
I continue to remember the short video Asher Intrater of Revive Israel
issued a couple of weeks ago, The Corona Virus | GOD IS MOVING – How can we understand it and
PRAY. How Yeshua
had compassion on the sick and healed them, and we should use our God-given power
and authority to pray for those who are sick. Also, relating this outbreak to
the plagues of Egypt, we remember that the people of God were protected from
the plagues in the land of Goshen. We exercise our own faith now for
protection. And also that in the plagues of Egypt, Moses went to the Egyptian
leader and said, Let My people go. Let them go worship me. All you have to do
to be blessed of God is let the people of God have the freedom to worship.

So the Lord is saying, “Do not
be afraid of the chaos in the times of the shakings. But know that through
these shakings, I will bring forth My kingdom which cannot be shaken.”
Finally, I want to share a bit from an article by Ron Cantor
called, Why We
Need New Testament Prophets ...The Coronavirus. Ron
writes, "Today we find ourselves in great need of the voice of true New
Testament prophets the same way that Agabus (Acts 11:27-28) predicted the
famine and the disciples were able to help to their brothers in Israel. We are
in the midst of, what some are calling, a worldwide pandemic. Where is the word
of the Lord? Not surprisingly, many of the more famous “prophets” have been
silent. I have to say, it’s much easier to prophesy over an individual than it
is to prophesy during a worldwide catastrophe; the stakes are higher. You (the
prophet) will be (or should be) held accountable. Also, the Bible says that we
should prophesy according to our faith. Before you open up your mouth with a
potential word from the Lord, you should make sure that you truly believe it is
that—and not just a path to popularity. . . . I do not consider myself a
prophet, and that’s not just me being humble. I really do not, and most
certainly not on a worldwide level. But, like all of us who love the Lord, I
seek to hear his voice.

And lastly, as I thought
about Israel shutting down their doors to tourists even though tourism is the
lifeblood of the Israeli economy, I couldn't help wondering what that closure
would mean to the Christian world supporting Israel. Not
that I believe this closure will last forever, but how would it affect your
motivation to support Israel if you suddenly could no longer freely go visit
Israel? Do
you support Israel for the feel-good it gives you, or are you supporting the
Gospel of Kingdom of Yeshua going forth in Israel.
I am asking that because the difference is, if you are supporting the body of Messiah in Israel, those who are carrying the glory of the LORD and the Gospel of Yeshua's kingdom to the people of Israel, then it will not put even a dent in your motivation if you learned tomorrow that you would never again be allowed to visit Israel. I don't think that can be said for those who are deriving their motivation from being treasured by unsaved Israelis for your support of Israel. I do not think Christian tourists will be banned from Israel after the Coronavirus scare passes, but if we were banned, would you still be as motivated to help the Israeli believers spread the Gospel in Israel? Honestly, it should make us even more motivated. Just a little straight talk from the most unusual circumstances we now find ourselves in.

At Adullam house in Jerusalem, it has been mostly quiet since the
stabbing incidents occurred - an indication that the police have taken
seriously the level of violence that was going on. There really is no telling
how long the quiet will last. There is major financial need as the ministry is rapidly
running out of funds. Without a breakthrough they will be forced to drastically
cut down their operations.
This is a FINANCIAL SUPPORT DROUGHT that is hurting all the ministries in
Israel and has been going on for a few years now. Please pray for God to break
the financial drought like He broke the H2o drought in 2020!

In the Times of Israel 'Australian Jewish News' a profile on two Jewish leaders
had one claiming that "Jews for Jesus" advocate "the
destruction of the Jewish people" like Hamas and Holocaust deniers. We
must begin to push back on blatant lies about the Messianic Jews, whether in
Israel or anywhere else in the world. Call them out for lies or people will
believe it.

is the Caspari Media Review so valuable? Because you get the type of news
articles that are only meant for Hebrew readers . In one of the articles

Daniel and Shirya Yahav write about the mindboggling amount of crisis

was found dead in her home while in prayer on her knees by her bed. What a
great position to go to heaven! They
have had several more immersions (baptisms), youth group protected from what
might have been a tragic car accident, unexpected opportunity to share their
testimony with a tour group of Jews pensioners, opportunity for one of their
IDF soldiers to be a good witness among his platoon. They also are offering a
gift in a downloadable Messiah-based
Messianic Haggadah in several languages.
From Maoz Report, Shani Ferguson writes about the Trump plan Deal or No Deal. This
ancient and modern, social and political, physical and spiritual conflict is
far more complex than we are led to believe. In order to really understand and
pray for the historic events that are happening right now, we need to
understand the true history of the battle that rages in the heart of the Holy
Land.
Israel Pochtar, the Ashdod Beit Hallel congregation and Voice of Judah
ministries is in continuing persecution a battle that Israel writes can become
wearisome even knowing, "we can stand in confidence that He is fighting
our battles on our behalf and victory is assured." They are asking for your
prayers. In 2020 "the attacks, harassment and cursing have reached new
levels. The Orthodox community has started an aggressive campaign against the
ministry and regularly convenes outside of our worship services and during the
distribution of humanitarian aid. They are in violation of Israeli law, yet the
police have ceased to come to our aid." Pochtar writes, "Practically,
we must raise $5,000 to purchase security cameras to protect our property from
vandalism and gain evidence for legal protection. We pray you will partner
with us today both in prayer and financially.

Cohen Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem sends these Friday Prayer Points 3/6/2020 | One focus is the disappointing election
chaos in Israel as for the 3rd time a vote has not brought about a clear
winner. Chuck writes, "While finding this very frustrating and at times being

drama takes place and which we get a prophetic picture of threat against the
people of God and how God reverses it to rescue His people. (Coronavirus is

Najeeb
and Elizabeth Atteih of the Immanuel Church in Hafia are rejoicing over the
marriage of their son Tino at the end of January. They also comment on the fears over the
Coronavirus, "God calls us to fight anxiety, fear and being dragged into
the mindset of nations that do not know God as a loving heavenly Father." The
time of pandemics and epidemics is the time for repentance. Let us ask God to
have mercy on us and on our countries and the world. Let us declare that God is
our refuge in every generation (Psalm 90:1).
In the ministry they recently saw a wonderful answer when they were called to pray for a young boy about to undergo surgery from cancer in his jaw. That was followed by the father coming to faith soon afterwards. They also got to minister to some teens who were preparing to join the IDF when a training officer brought them to visit the center and learn about their facility and ministry. The new roof project has started at the Soldiers Center, but they are still raising funds for walls, painting, electrity, windows Y doors. If you can help, please contact them.

special happened to me last weekend, during a women’s retreat in Israel"
Also from Eli Ben-Moshe (Chopinsky) the merging of households with his
family and his mom is now complete and a blessing to all of them. Another
blessing is that Our
Tikkun Emissaries page is now active meaning there is a place to donate to
his ongoing work producing music for Israeli Messianic worship artists at the Ashira Project (I
Will Sing).
One final note though after seeing an email
from an Israel-based Messianic news website, I MUST caution you: PLEASE STOP listening
to unsaved rabbis in Israel declaring things prophetically because they cannot
prophesy by the spirit of God, for they do not yet have the indwelling
Spirit of God which only comes through the door of faith in Yeshua Israel's
Messiah.
Even
if you read about their "prophecy" in a Messianic publication, it
is NOT TO BE BELIEVED because they cannot prophesy from God's heart, but only
what is in their own human hearts. THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL, dear Christians and
Messianic Jews: prophecy from God ONLY comes through those who have entered
through the Door of Yeshua. It is not all Jews, even all rabbis, who can
prophesy by the Spirit of the LORD, but only those who are indwelt by the
Spirit of the LORD.
As Ron Cantor also pointed out: God can prophesy through anyone but there is a difference between God as a sign speaking through someone like Saul (1 Sam 9-10), a donkey, or an unsaved rabbi, and what we see on certain websites every day about this rabbi and that rabbi prophesying about the end-times. These are the same rabbis who reject Yeshua as the fulfiller of Messianic prophecies and suddenly they are experts on the end times? What is surprising about this article, is that it is a believing publication and it would seem that they are endorsing the rabbi. BTW, most prophecy experts see the 3rd temple as the one the antichrist takes over and declares himself to be God. (1 thes. 2:4).

At one point we got around to the fact that he was the grandfather of
"baby Netaley" a baby we prayed for a long time in Israelprayer because of her brain tumor.
She miraculously survived her tumor.
I can't get into the details, but you should know the same incident that
killed Bob also greatly wounded his wife, Fruma, who is in the hospital and
could sure use the prayers of the saints. Also for the whole family Klaas and
Caren Bakker and their children, including Netaley who are all members of the
Messianic Jewish community in Israel.
In this family picture, Bob is the grandfather on the right, with Fruma
beside him, and her reaching down to granddaughter "baby Netaley". My
deepest condolences to the family and the Israeli Messianic community for the
loss of Bob Knight, who is now a Knight for the King of Kings in his eternal
reward.
I just found the last Facebook private chat I had with Bob last month and
it is so appropriate to share:

Bob Knight: I can
understand that. For some time I went to painting classes over here and I still
have a vision for my masterpiece, which would be of a warrior dressed in the
whole armour of God, but instead of the person shining and being perfect as
most such painting are, he would have a battle scared shield, a nicked blade on
his sword, etc. a bit more like real life!!!
Bob was laid to rest on Sunday with about 200 of the Israeli Messianic
leadership and his many friends gathering to mourn his loss and his own gain of
entrance into the Divine Presence. His wife, Fruma, is still in the hospital
and could not attend, but sent her heart farewell in written words which were
read at the funeral. Please continue to pray for Fruma's complete healing (the
bleeding on her brain has stopped!) and the strengthening of the hearts of the
whole family by the LORD Most High.
