. . . and violent uprising against Israelis
Michael Beener of the City of Life congregation in Sderot, on the border with Gaza, , writes on 4/25: Last night, terrorists fired more than 36 rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip overnight and the rockets damaged several communities. The bombings were the Strip's worst assault in many months. The rocket attack followed days of tensions and clashes in Jerusalem and the West Bank that involved Palestinian and Israeli civilians as well as Israeli security forces [ongoing clashes & rockets] We ask that you join us in prayer, especially for the mental health of the people of the region. We know that the Lord is in control of all things and will keep us standing, our ministry will continue as always bringing help to the needy and hope to the heartbroken. It is really a devils uprising which the Iran proxies in Syria also got in on the action last week firing a missile that landed near Israel’s main nuclear weapons facility in Dimona in the Negev. Shani Ferguson writes about hearing what sounded like fireworks, but instead was a missile from Syria that reached into Israel farther than ever before. The devils of Ramadan are stirred up as Israel comes closer and closer to her day of salvation in the name of Yeshua. They cannot stop what God is going to do, but they can rob some of life through lethal missiles before they can come to faith. Please pray.
Prayer
for Israel regarding the latest uprisings,
missile strike against Dimona nuclear facility
by Shani
Ferguson, Maoz Israel
Our
family used to live next to a wedding hall in Jerusalem, and would get to enjoy
some fireworks on an almost weekly basis. So, on the occasional evening when I
hear popping sounds, my first assumption is usually that it’s fireworks. When I
look out the window and don’t see fireworks, my next guess tends towards stun
grenades—often used to break up riots. However, this past week, as I was
getting ready for bed, I heard an explosion and the thought crossed my mind
that it actually sounded like a missile explosion.
Turns out it was. In the morning the
news reported many others in Jerusalem also heard the explosion that actually
occurred in Israel’s southern desert. Syria had fired a missile on our nuclear
site in Dimona where Israel’s nuclear arsenal is rumored to be. It is the
farthest a Syrian missile has ever reached. Israel’s defense Patriot missiles
were activated but failed to intercept it. Thankfully Syria’s aim was just as
bad and it fell in an open field. Still, the event raised concerns such a
missile could go so far into Israel and get so close to such a sensitive
Israeli military target.
Concerning the latest uprisings: In case you weren’t aware, we’re in the month of
Ramadan. It is a month in which Muslims essentially fast and pray all day and
eat only after sunset. Even during a good year, you can feel the tension in the
air during Ramadan, but several factors are playing into this month and making
it be particularly volatile.
The most obvious factor is that this
year Ramadan falls during the hot months—and hot and “hangry” (a slang term for
the agitated nature of a hungry person) never go well together. Another factor
is a recent TikTok trend that consists of young Muslims filming themselves
attacking religious Jews. TikTok has done little to ban these videos and they
have gone viral—which of course inspires more videos.
Then, of course there are the COVID
restrictions that easily frustrate everyone. Just outside one of Jerusalem’s
old city gates there is a traditional place where Muslims like to come after
their evening prayer. There they sit, chat, drink tea or coffee and smoke
nargila (water pipe). Though Israel has been taking steps to reduce
restrictions, large gatherings are still not permitted. So this area has been
blocked off. This move, of course, is seen through the filter of the “infidel
occupiers” who are messing with the Muslim way of life. The mass disturbances
began on Thursday, and already by Sunday Israeli authorities removed the
barriers from the steps. To Israel, sparking another intifada could easily
become more deadly than a fresh COVID outbreak. Most significantly, all this
chaos does only good for Hamas as Palestinian elections are less than a month
away. And thus, we have had fresh rockets from Gaza.
Father, it is You who allows enemies but
also bring times of peace, according to Your will. For years, young
Palestinians have not had role models inspiring them to blossom as a people and
reject the cause of annihilating Israel. Such role models exist, but they are
often afraid to go public—bring them out into the public eye and protect them.
Give wisdom and favor to the
authorities, who are protecting both the Jewish and Arab population in Israel.
Protect Israeli soldiers and police from ambushes and setups that are designed
to force injuries on innocent civilians.
Riots and uprisings are often about
small sparks that spread—we ask that You would soothe the tensions—like water
on kindling. There is a peace that only You can give. We ask for it to come in
our time. Help Israel form a government that will lead it into Your will.

Concerning the Fellowship of Artists | When we first had the vision to see the restoration of
modern-day Levites, we thought of all the practical things we needed to bring
the vision to pass. Everything the world
knows about worshipping the one true God originated in Israel—and Israel had
much more to offer in that arena.
We needed a place where
musicians could create, discover, and record fresh worship music. We wanted a
place where many projects could be produced simultaneously. We wanted to train
kids from a young age in their craft so that when the time came to record the
music or lead worship before a congregation, it would be done in the most
excellent manner. We wanted musicians to see other musicians as their
partners—not their rivals—and thus the “fellowship” part of the vision was just
as important as the “artists” part.
We also knew we were taking on a
sect of society that is inherently delicate and moody. What we didn’t expect
was that in the process of working on worship projects, musicians would experience
deep emotional healing. It’s happening so much now, we’ve affectionately dubbed
the FoA studio the Rehabilitation Center for Emotionally Damaged
Worshippers. It makes sense since we
know how sensitive creative people can be and we know how hard a place Israel
is, and still it caught us by surprise that God is taking an active role in
healing His people so that they can truly be a light to the nations from a
place of strength.

Israel Pochtar has an important video message: Harvest Time is Upon Us! It is spiritually true and we need to realize the time is now. That’s one reason for his second video: Gearing up for our Shavuot/Pentecost Youth Discipleship Camp where they are nurturing and developing young people for the spiritual harvest because there is much more to come! Read Israel’s excellent devotional The Light of God where he speaks of how their city of Ashdod, a coastal city “served as the first line of defense against raiders and invaders.” Join in with the 4/16 VIDEO Beit Hallel Worship – Shabbat Service and let your heart be touched by how they are ministering to the elderly Dignifying a Passing Generation.
From Jerusalem, Norma Sarvis sends two blog posts about the three Bat Zion Women’s regional gatherings that she and Chaya Mizrachi have organized to do a Covid restriction work-around from their usual one meeting for the believer women to gather together for refreshing. The first is “Take possession”. The second, “Shakings” —“After a year of almost no rockets falling from Gaza, the barrage began again last Friday with over 40 landing in the south. Hours before in the same area, 70 women gathered to worship, felllowship and encourage one another in Messiah.”
Joel Jelski, who is one of the leaders in the Fields of Wheat ministry with founder Eitan Shishkoff and their co-laborers Cody and Liat Archer sends a personal family update that speaks of “the valley of tears” he and wife Teresa have recently gone through...Pray for them, that God will answer the cries of the heart with healing, peace and blessings. Joel gives a good report on the Katzir Youth Camps as they have finally been able to gather again with the teens…and they are still pressing in to complete the vision of the Fields of Wheat. Since the Jelski’s haven’t been able to travel, they are planning a ZOOM meeting to connect with those interested in their ministry in northern Israel It will be Sat, May 8, 9am Central Time for an update and Q&A time together. Just Sign up HERE and they will send the link a few days before the Zoom meeting.
Jackie Santoro in Jerusalem writes an update Israel Lives! Writing
how “Each year, the country attempts to come to terms with and understand an
evil that is incomprehensible…. The traumatic horror of the Holocaust is part
of the foundation of this nation, part of the culture and personality of its
people. Israel must never forget.” But as they move through Memorial Day in
honor of their fallen soldiers, into Independence Day, Jackie writes, “Israel
is a miraculous testimony of the truth of God as He fulfilled his word for all
to see and redeemed the tragic history of his people.”
This article is so full of wisdom, because
Jackie also acknowledges, "And yet the determination to stand against
anti-Semitism, the perseverance, the will to survive against all odds, in some
way also gives strength to the resistance to the Gospel. Yeshua is blamed for
the anti-Semitism, it is deep within the culture, deep within the hearts of the
people. They can believe anything and it is tolerated- just not
"Jesus". Even citizenship is denied to those who are believers in
Yeshua. And yet Yeshua IS their Messiah and the Word says that 'all Israel will
be saved'…. we believe that with the same passion that the majority
exhibits now against Yeshua, one day we will be a nation who believes with that
same intensity that He is their God and Messiah!"
Chuck Cohen of Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem writes about the Torah
portion last Shabbat Leviticus 16 giving the instructions for the high priest on Yom Kippur – the
Day of Atonement in Friday Prayer Points 4/23/2021.
Also his prayer point for the “Salvation for Muslims over Ramadan” is a
critical prayer to make for Israel. God wants to redeem their enemies too.

#IAMWITHISRAEL is an outreach arm of the Revive Israel and Tikkun Ministries.
This month it is featuring a new outreach that Leon and Nina Mazin of Return to
Zion congregation are doing in Haifa. They have long been involved in providing
humanitarian aid in Haifa and Nazereth, but they have a new and specific
request to help with hot meals for the elderly who are in assisted living
facilities, many of them are Holocaust survivors. To provide what was requested
– every Tuesday to provide 140 hot meals for these elderly people — would only
cost $3,000 a month, so please consider making a commitment and GIVE TODAY
Our friends at Awake Israel Ministries in Rishon le Zion, Shlomy and
Miriam Abramov, send a report of a recent day trip they made to bring some of
the elderly they minister to each week for a visit to the Wall in Jerusalem. I
happened to see them comment on it on Facebook and with all the clashes going
on during Ramadan was worried about them. Miriam wrote, “It did cross my
mind however that due to the riots all week there was a clamp down on the area.
Many others would not come there. We went in faith. Our little bus went around
Shiloh and the neighborhoods of Silwan and David’s city. It was as I
have not seen it before. The streets were silent and peaceful.” They were met
at the Wall by the young IDF soldiers posted there to keep the peace, and
Miriam writes, “They were so kind to our
elderly” as they posed for photos with them. Miriam writes, “Thank you for
your prayers for our ministry of giving to the needy and of evangelism —we do not
do both at the same time or place, because that is against Israeli law. Our
ministry is vast and does several things. If you are in the Holy Land please
come and join us for a day sharing the good news to Israel.”
Happy news report from LuAnne
Sayag at HaCarmel congregation about their newest granddaughter, Ori Anne. Their daughter related to them how the name
came: she went to pick up the baby and cooed, just like any mother would,
"Kumi (“get up”), Ori (“shine”)!” Of course, these same words are found in
the beginning of Isaiah 60. LuAnne writes, “It is as if God is saying,
"Kumi, ori!" "Arise, shine!" It's time for us to shake off
this slumber and shine with the glory of God.” A wonderful message after being
held back the past year with worldwide Covid restrictions. The ministry also
sends prayer requests for the govt leadership, the uprisings & missile
& rocket fire against Israel during Ramadan “It is God’s mercy that no one
has been killed or seriously hurt. Please continue to pray for the peace of
Jerusalem and God’s mercy on the inhabitants of this Land.” And they send this
blessing, please watch and listen to Karen Davis has just released a new lyric
video of her song “Be Still” based on Psalm 46.
The elders at Hasdey Yeshua congregation in Arad send a video testimony
of Holocaust survivor Rose
Price that will inspire you. They also report good news on being able to
meet again as a congregation in person in the park (please pray for them to
find a facility to house their congregation). A young Bedouin couple who were
having trouble conceiving was prayed for each time by Sara, the minister to the
Bedouin’s —they finally became pregnant and attribute it to Sara’s prayers.
Pray God continue to draw them to faith. They have a praise report in that they
were able to negotiate a reasonable contract to be able to resume their
humanitarian distribution from the warehouse they were using. They ask prayers
for their Mayor who is friendly toward them, and for the salvation of the
ultra-orthodox who “lead a very sad life, thinking they’re righteous but in
reality living far from the God”
Tikkun Global reports on the
“police battle angry Arabs over access to the Temple Mount and Jewish
extremists (a tiny percentage of Israelis) attacking the Arabs.” Plus the
rocket fire from Gaza. “May God take away the anger and reveal Yeshua to the
Muslim masses. May He touch these extremist Israeli youth. We need a
visitation!” To dates to make note of for ONLINE CONFERENCES: first, is
starting Friday April 30-May 1 with an International Prayer Conference with Asher
Intrater (he will minister Sat at 6:45pm Israel time), Tom Hess, Heidi
Baker, Ana Paula Valadão, Sid Roth, and Boris Grisenko. Register online for free. THEN the
