Unity in Yeshua . . . & Beaver Dams | Arrows from Zion | 7 28 2021

We continue to hear about how the Israeli Messianic Jews and Arab Christians are coming together "for strategic prayer and prophetic acts of unity and repentance in areas of the city where ethnic violence occurred during the 10-day war with Hamas in May."
Read more from the report from Tel Aviv congregation, Tiferet Yeshua. Last week we shared about the group that prayed together in Acco.
This is how Yeshua is bringing peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.

"The Lord is for me among those who help me." Psalm 118:7

Beaver Dams
by Donna Diorio

At the time I started my weekly Israelprayer letter (20 year ago mid-August), I was utterly dismayed by what I saw as the majority of Christian ministries and WAY too many Messianic Jewish ministries too, creating a logjam that stopped funding the Israeli Messianic ministries. Instead of even being able to see the need or the significance of the body of Messiah in Israel, they were all diverting the natural spiritual flow into the secular and rabbinic causes of Israel.  Why?

Beavers build dams in the flow of a river for their own sakes: they build dams to create their own homes in the midst of the dam. There are some benefits that can happen because of beaver dams, but there are also catastrophic results too. The log-jamming of financial assistance and GENEROSITY being diverted from the Israeli Messianic ministries is holding back spiritual benefits for Israel and for the whole world!

I see a cloud the size of a man's hand on the horizon, because I know that GOD is going to have to override this deception Himself, and break up that beaver dam. He will have to break up all the multitude of deceptions that Christians and Messianic Jews have to excuse themselves from helping the Gospel carriers of Israel to reach the Israeli people.  There are little breaks of light on the horizon, but the financial stress in Israel is INTENSE on the Israeli ministries right now! This DAM has to be broken through on every deceptive level that is holding the logjam together!

ABBA, break open the dams of Christian generosity that spiritual beavers - both the well-meaning kind and the antichrist kind - have built that logjam the flow of funding from Christians in the nations to the Gospel-carrying Messianic Jews of Israel.

How long, O Lord? How long before you break off the deceptions that keep Christians AND Messianic Jews from planting their spiritual financial seed into eternity-producing ministries in Israel?

LORD, It is a disgrace, a disgrace, a disgrace to Christianity to ignore the believing community of Israel like they are insignificant to YOUR purposes in bringing "all Israel" to salvation in Messiah Yeshua. It is a disgrace for Messianic congregations in the Diaspora to try to gain favor in Israel with their donations while the Gospel-carrying Messianic ministries are so financially distressed.

Please, Abba, I am crying earnestly with the Israeli ministries for breakthrough;  for Your breaking through the dams that re-route the funding flow from those You have anointed - Israeli believers - "to proclaim peace, bring good tidings, proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices, together they shout for joy. For every eye will see when the LORD returns to Zion." Amen.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Tiferet Yeshua brings out the Arab and Jewish believers unity that is actively sought and nurtured in the spiritual leadership in Israel and it is because they realize this is a true miracle of reconciliation that is possible only in Yeshua. No one expects the divide between Jews and Arabs to be healed in Israel so this is a powerful testimony to all the Israeli citizens – no matter what religious or ethnic background. Like those who gathered to pray together in Acco last week, the Tel Aviv pastors and ministry leaders also gathered together in unity. Tiferet Yeshua pastors Pastors Gil and Moti were part of the group that met for for strategic prayer and prophetic acts of unity and repentance in areas of the city where ethnic violence occurred during the 10-day war with Hamas in May. On their Facebook page they also wrote: “Jew and Arab - One new man in Messiah!❤️ We were so blessed to have our dear Arab brother Moroon share his testimony with us last week! We pull down strongholds when we take a stand together in love, humility and unity." Pray God strengths these relationships all across Israel.  They also write about the dangerous financial crisis going on in Lebanon. Pray that God would pour out His Spirit on the Lebanese Christian community and use them as bright and shining witnesses during this dark time in Lebanon. The Tiferet Yeshua congregation are rejoicing that every week God brings them new seekers and also that they are able to report the financial commitments came in to meet the budget for 2021.  This is an enormous weight now lifted from the leadership. They thank all who responded and if you too would like to donate to the work of Tiferet Yeshua, click here.

Claude and Michelle Ezagouri in the Tiberias Morning Star Fellowship  are also rejoicing that they have received the needed provision to buy a supplementary room big enough to be used as a place of fellowship with newcomers but not only. It will also serve for midweek meetings like discipleship, seminars and other activities. And they are also thanking God for new people the Lord has been leading to them. “Some of them come from difficult background and are much in need of help but especially of God’s love, fellowship and care through us. Please pray that we would be able to be present in their lives in case of need but also that we might help them to look to Yeshua and trust Him in all things.”
The teenagers are taking an active role in the children’s summer activities at the fellowship and “have already shown a great deal of responsibility in this.” They believe it will help the teeds also to grow in their own faith by guiding the younger kids.  (Amen!)
Claude is added to the Urgent Healing Needs closing out this Arrows email. He will be having treatment for the next six months for an unnamed medical issue. They also ask prayers for Lebanon’s economic and social upheaval which will surely impact Israel; for growing corruption in Israel; and the hard ball government politics that are being played everywhere in the world against unvaccinated people.

From the ministry team at the HaCarmel congregation, a notice that their next two Tuesday Worship Watches (7/27 and 8/3) will not be live-streamed, but will return on August 10. You can watch the beautiful worship watch on YouTube Kehilat HaCarmel Worship Watch for July 20, 2021

Truly joyful news from Joel and Teresa Jelski with the announcement she is 13 weeks pregnant. This comes after heartbreaking miscarriages and even failed fertility treatments. Joel writes they had mostly given up on her becoming pregnant again but God had a great surprise in for them. Their son was so excited that even before they were telling anyone the news, Boaz had ““pretty much told all the kids and teachers in his kindergarten!” Please pray for protection and health over Teresa and the baby during this season.  Also for Joel who will be traveling and speaking in Texas August 7-30th. If you are interested in hosting a small group meeting, it is one of the best ways to help them raise support as a ministry family.  Also Watch the VIDEO as Joel serves as the camp director for the Katzir youth camp starting 7/31.

From Out of Zion Ministries, watch David Silver’s Midweek Update Videoon YouTube for  July 23, 2021 and Jul 27 Plus the Out of Zion Prayer for Israel Zoom meeting every Tuesday 9 pm Israel time - 7 pm UK - 2 pm EST - 6 am NZ | Go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82351582826  (Passcode: 146188). Josie Silver included a writing on “The Dew of Heaven” which God promised in Genesis 27:28.  She writes about how in Israel there is no rain between April and October, but He does send the night dew that comes between midnight and morning.  She writes, “In Song of Songs 5 it says, The voice of You, the beloved, comes in the night - for when I sleep my heart is awake and you come with the dew on your head. As the Lord allows the natural dew to fall on the soil of the land of Israel during the night, let us pray that the heavenly dew will come and drop on the soil of the hearts of the people of Israel in the night season, to spiritually refresh and awaken their hearts to their Beloved Messiah. The Lord said we would be a land that would drink from the rain of heaven.”

Asher Intrater of Revive Israel writes The Silent MessageOn the cross, Yeshua suffered in silence to show us how much God loves us, when we weren't willing to listen. This is the ultimate act of love.”
There is also an important short VIDEO from Asher :
1980 Vision at the Wall. It is where God gave him understanding that the salvation of Israel is something that the Messianic Jews in Israel cannot do without the Church and something the Church cannot do without the Messianic Jews in Israel . SELAH.
Also the weekly Global Broadcast where “Asher Intrater delivered a mighty teaching titled A Great Mystery. ( I only put it in quotes because I have not had a chance to listen to it YET, but I have no doubt that it is a “mighty” teaching…I don’t know any others that understand these portions of scripture better)

The Aliyah Return Center writes: “What is Aliyah? It is the return of the Jewish people to the promised land. What is God's heart for Aliyah?  We can find this answer in 64 scriptures. Also WATCH:  Chaim talk about ten aspects of God's heart for Israel! And  Why stand with Israel and the Galilee?

Chuck Cohen of the Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem is recovering from a successful hernia repair, but that means someone took over for this week in writing the  Friday Prayer Points  7/23/2021. You can read in full – please pay heed to the section on Salvation/Aliyah: “Open the doors for Aliyah to all who desire to come (Job 31:32). | Provide for the agencies that help new immigrants. | Have mercy on the new immigrants. Plant their roots deep and provide all they need to be able to stay (Jeremiah 32:41). |  Wake up Your church to their responsibility within Your plans (Jeremiah 31:7). | Water all the seeds of the gospel that have been planted over the years in Your people and bring forth a mighty harvest (Matthew 13:8).

Beit Hallel’s Israel Pochtar sends this from his wife Vicky What Do We Expect From Our Faith In God? “You can never know what goes on in someone’s heart or life, the battles he has to face in order to come out on the other side; we only see the outcomes, the results.”  | Also Summer For God Youth Discipleship Update - God is moving among them powerfully | Supporting our Back-to-School project | God’s kindness is as profound as it is multifaceted. There is always a reason behind specific humanitarian projects He calls us to do — that reason is always love. | This week we had the privilege to host a group of amazing people from the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem that come from all over the world, that wanted to be helping hands of God and serve families in need :    ICEJ Visit: Being God's Helping Hands from the Nations | Avraham’s Healing Testimony | The biggest problem with a long-standing chronic illness is that it chips away at the faith one might have that he can be healed. The longer it takes, the weaker our faith might become.

Evan Thomas writes some good news from the Beit Asaph congregation which because of the intensity of the financial stress the Israeli ministries have been experiencing, wrote last time about how they were having to leave their facility but planned to set up smaller home group meetings to care for the flock.  There were many who were unhappy with not being able to meet together as one, but in the meantime the body of Messiah has stepped up to help by way of the Israel  College of the Bible opening their facility to them and Evan writes, “
this week we will be sitting with their leadership to negotiate the terms for a regular arrangement. Our hope is to conduct a celebration service at the College once a month.” He also writes “Meanwhile our youth enjoy their weekly meetings at the local Ethiopian congregational facility and our Children’s Bible Club is now well established at the facility of a Russian-speaking congregation in Caesarea. We sense that God is well-pleased at this cooperation between local ministries. Our training/ prayer center and administration office at Beit Itzak are serving us well and several of the new Life-groups are conducting weekly meetings there. We are delighted to report that we now have 15 Life-groups established, the newest being a group made up of serving soldiers and those who have been recently released from the I.D.F. Please pray for Michael, Asher and Hodiyya as they help the group establish roles and responsibilities.”
We get by with a little help from our friends: it is so true. We need each other.

Leon Mazin, writing “from a Hot Kitchen” says, “Since January 2021 after receiving a request from several elderly homes we started a distribution of 150 hot meals a week, now we distribute over 200 with more and more requests. These people are not deeply in need, but they are elderly. They have difficulties shopping and cooking, in which they are incredibly grateful for the support given. We did a Holocaust Survivors event that took place on July 13th. For us it is big blessing to serve them with hospitality, sharing Yeshua's love, and having some instruments played by our students from "Keshet Tzlilim" (Rainbow of Sounds) one of many projects of Return to Zion Ministry. Thank you for being a faithful supporter of Return to Zion and for your love for the Jewish people in Israel and around the world. I'm grateful for your partnership.”

The City of Life congregation in Sderot is led by Michael and Dina Beener whose heart is to minister to this poor and battered population. They had a great pool party for the children to be able to have some fun after the great trauma of rockets and bomb shelters they went through. Now they are planning a second
Children Recovery Day. There is a lot of PTSD in the city, and the children really need to have days like this for recovery. You can learn more about the City of Life outreaches like Supporting the Ethiopian Jewish Immigrant Community and other Compassionate Outreach Projects. They need your help to do any of it! Ron Cantor had an excellent opening to the Tikkun Global email this week about the “Parousia—the arrival of Yeshua to set up his Millennial Kingdom.” I want to quote a small passage (my bold emphasis added):

I recently read a scholarly article on Jerusalem. The author said that Church fathers had little affection for present-day Jerusalem—as they were looking to the New Jerusalem (plus they had become theologically anti-Semitic). “The only Jerusalem relevant to that faith was the ‘new Jerusalem, coming down from heaven, adorned as a bride’”

The author points out that this changed, as the fourth-century Bishop of Jerusalem, Cyril, found that “The ‘Jerusalem mystique’ was present and powerful.” Pilgrims could find great meaning in Jerusalem’s Messiah-centered past.

Yet he misses the real reason for Jerusalem’s mystic draw and fails to appreciate the fact that she will yet play a major role in the story of Yeshua. He doesn’t recognize that once again Jewish believers in Yeshua live in Jerusalem, with over 20 Messianic congregations there; but focuses solely on the dwindling Arab Orthodox Christian presence.
He rightly states that place without people is empty—meaning Jerusalem without a New Testament human witness is meaningless. But he sees no great fulfillment in the return of Jesus-following Jews to Zion, and treats Zionism as a “nineteenth-century socialist utopian movement.

In the same email was an article by Asher on the moving of the artk to Jerusalem in II Samuel 6 that was accompanied by two unusual events with two severe punishments.  This is a MUST READ: Covenantal Order or Gifts of the Spirit?

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for Hallel Goldman, daughter of Yariv Goldman, Hallel ministers to young people coming out of an Orthodox life. Hallel appears to have some kind of heart infection. She is home now with new meds but still needs our prayers | Pray for Carolyn Hyde whose left hand is so pained she can no longer play guitar and it is also sometimes painful to play piano | the Silvers: David's knees and Josie's back pain | Rachel Netanel  is still recovering from a broken ankle. She asks for healing & for the pain to subside. Her ankles were weak already, so the process is slow and painful| A prayer request for Naomi, for a dear family that is a part of Israel Pochtar's pastoral team, who was diagnosed with colon cancer. "Despite what this battle entails, we are confident in God’s unfailing Word and promises." Read in her own words| Please continue to pray for Jacob Damkani for the LORD's mercies over Jacob and his dear wife, Elisheva |
Dov Bikas – I have been very tired these days: probably as a result of a combination of factors: my age, stress of the days of running to the bomb shelter, work load in the ministry, etc. Olga is getting better slowly, but still has a long way before her, so please keep praying.
