decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you keep on biting and
devouring each other, watch out, or you will be consumed by each other. So I
say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For
the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit
are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from
doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not
under the law.

Israel Pochtar speaking of building the House of the LORD in Ashdod As he writes this week, "It's obvious how fiercely the enemy
objects us building the house of the Lord in Ashdod, which makes us even more
determined to build it for the glory of God! It has been much like in Nehemiah
4:16-19, when they were building the city walls and had to hold the building
materials in one hand, while holding weapons in the other to defend against
attacks. That's what it has been like, trying to build and advance the kingdom
of God, while fighting off attacks of the enemy. "
This is not over-spiritualizing the battles that the believer ministries in Israel face as part of their everyday life - this is reality! Even as fiercely as the nation of Israel is opposed by the nations of the earth who have been drawn into the opposition against Israel by the ancient jealousies of Ishmael, so also the spiritual warfare over the raising up of the body of Messiah in Israel comes with an intense opposition from all sides...sadly sometimes even from within the body of Christ worldwide and also in Israel from various sources. That is why YOUR PRAYERS for the Body of Messiah in Israel are so critical. Yes we love the Messianic Jews throughout the world, but none of them are facing quite the oppositional force as the believers in Israel. We must bear this in mind always and pray - lifting their arms up like Aaron and Hur lifted up Moses arms when he was beyond his own strength to do the lifting.

Requests from Israeli Ministries. They have hit a bureaucratic snag in their
new congregational building. This is a ministry that is working powerfully in
proclaiming Yeshua in Israel.
From the Beer Sheva congregation led by Howard
Bass in the Negev, they are up to their ears in preparations for the Oct 30-31
events in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the victorious Beer Sheva
Charge, which God used to change the course of history, enabling the proclamation
of the historic Balfour Declaration.
There have been many historic commemorations
in Israel over the 2017 Feasts of the Lord and some of them, like this one,
have not only a historic tie between Israel and several international nations,
but also because of the historic tie, there are great prophetically significant
spiritual ties that the Israeli ministries are well aware of. These are nations
that are spiritually ripe not only to have many Christians that are aware of
God's intentions regarding Israel's salvation in the "last days" but
also who will again step into a historic tie with Israel. This time, the warfare will be more acutely
spiritual intercession on Israel's behalf.
What I am saying is, that look to the nations with historic ties to
significant events in the re-establishment of the nation of Israel, because
these nations will also have an abundance of Christians who will step up in
defense of Israel increasingly as we are approaching that time when "all
nations" will rise up against Jerusalem. All nations will, but not all
people within those nations.

in the Haaretz Israeli newspaper, touching on the subject of the 'forbidden
verses' from the OT which are directly applied in the NT to Jesus: The issue of Jesus is spiritual, not logical, in its
essence."
The Harvest of Asher (so named because it is
in the biblical region that fell to Asher from Jacob's twelve sons)
congregation is led by Guy Cohen, a sabra or native Israel who is actually from
the town of Acco where the congregation is located. This is a special mailing for the
congregation because it is their annual report on how things have been going
among them and what their primary activities have been in their community.

congregation has had plenty of opposition from the religious and cooperation

From the Sorko-Ram's Maoz Ministries in Tel
Aviv, today we received a heart cry for the "heart-wrenching pictures of
the tiny, malnourished babies in
Syria? I literally broke down and cried
watching and hearing them on the news.
In this day and age, that kind of suffering should not exist—anywhere!"
Yet such is the hypocrisy of nations that will ignore the enormous suffering
and death going on in Syria while obsessing over trumped up accusations against
Israel. Maoz' Katy Smith writes about
"accidental" missiles from Syria landing in Israel and other concerns
in this combination of their last two prayer letters - also with great prayer
points for Israel and for the ministry inside the Weekly Summary attachment
Katy also writes from last week, "During
the Feast of Tabernacles, believers from over 100 nations came to Israel to
show their love and support. Now, people who do not know God and His promises
to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants, are launching another attack
against us. In today's statement, the
European Union's Foreign Service demanded that Israel halt building plans in
the West Bank, warning that these actions are a threat to any future peace deal
with the Palestinians."
Evan and Maala Thomas, along with Lev Guler of
the Beit Asaph congregation in Netanya, describe the past High Holiday month as
"phenomenal" also writing, "We are blessed to serve such a
healthy and active community, here in the land of the Patriarchs, during this
season of the Feasts of Israel. It is a privilege that we do not take for
granted!" As for personal, Maala's
91-yr old father sufferred a severe stroke and she has flown out to New Zealand
to be with him...reporting that he is now regaining clear speech and
recognition. Evan requests prayers for Maala and her dad. Also for daughter Sara and her husband who are
returning to Israel after studying abroad for 5 years in medical fields. Prayer
is needed for successful reestablishment in Israel.

is the adorable video from their eldest daughter, Illit's recent Bat Mitzvah: We translated the video for you. They write, "Since many Jews think the belief
in Yeshua is somehow disconnected from the Jewish lifestyle, Jewish holidays
and other events like weddings and Bar or Bat Mitzvahs respectively, are great
opportunities to demonstrate the role God plays in our lives as Jews."
This video is a shining example that will bless believers too. It sure blessed
me.

and to help me make the initial contact for my Summary. I cannot wait to see the changes in your new addition.
Having read the prayer letters from so many each week for these many years, I
know things have really changed and increased. Looking forward to the new
edition!

Media Review Jerusalem: Reports from
4 of the major Israeli newspapers on various dates regarding the illegal - even
terroristic - activities of Jewish fundamentalist settlers known as "Price
Tag" against Christian and Muslim houses of prayer or holy sites. Since
2009 to July of 2017 there have been 53 attacks. See the summaries inside the Weekly Summary
attachment.
ISRAELPRAYER: One reason I am posting this particular set of summaries from the Hebrew press translated and summarized by Caspari, is because we need to know the true facts about things in Israel and not just the things that make us feel good. This is not a "feel good" report and it especially catches my notice because of the excuse that was given by the Domestic Security Minister to the Israeli Knesset for "Price Tag" attacks on Christian and Muslim holy places being "…investigations show a variety of motives, from mental instability to carelessness to actual arson.” Let's be clear about this: the police investigation in the package bomb that almost took the life of the youngest member of a Messianic pastoral family in Ariel in 2008 - that guy tried to pass his act off as mental instability and the investigators were game for anything other than labeling it squarely for what it was: an act of terrorism, as Yoram Cohen, the former head of the Israel Security Agency rightly called all these other "Price Tag" incidents. Price Tag is the name originally given to acts of vandalism by Jewish fundamentalist settler youths, aimed at the Palestinian population, Christians, left-wing Israeli Jews, Arab–Israelis, and the Israeli security forces. It comes from a radicalized vigilante mindset among Jewish fundamentalists in Israel.
This is important to us, why? Because it is
important for Israel to demonstrate true justice and not to excuse the
radicalism of their own sects of Judaism, like Yad L'Achim, or fundamentalist
nationalists among the settlers, like Price Tag. In a purely unbiased view,
Terrorism is terrorism is terrorism. Terrorism can't be covered for, excused or
called something else and be resolved. The only way to resolve it is to
confront it with clear eyes and the courage to call it what it is. -Donna

Update on Ye'shi Reinhardt: Ye'shi had a successful coronary bypass surgery on September 27 that lasted seven hours due to replacing two arteries instead of one. No complications where reported and his immediate recovery went well. However, he is now experiencing post-surgery infection and inflammation complications. He suffered breathing difficulties during Sukkot to the point of extreme pain. Two days ago Yeshi re-entered the hospital for treatment after his doctor suspected water in the lungs. Upon draining two cups of fluid he began to breathe better. The root of the problem was a lung infection. The hospital is treating the infection; and he will remain for several days for observation and restoration. Please pray for a quick healing from the infection and that Yeshi will experience a minimal amount of pain during the recovery process.

Donna Diorio | Yesterday I saw a
document calling itself the NAR-Watch Israel. NAR stands for New Apostolic
Reformation.
As a person who has done a weekly summary of prayer requests from
Israeli ministries for the past 16 years - of both charismatic and
non-charismatic ministries - let me tell you that this witch-hunter document
should be thrown out like the idols Isaiah 30:22 described: "...you will throw them away like a
menstrual cloth and say to them, 'Away with you!"
Apparently this was written in Israel by a believer who has had the
devil screw up his insides to the point that he is naming everyone in ministry
who are making headway in advancing the kingdom of the LORD in Israel.
If you see this document - shun it! It
is a curse on the house of the LORD and it will bring nothing but curse upon
all who fall into the deception of believing the lies that are presented about
these dear ministry leaders in Israel.
Pray that those who wrote these lies
and those that promote this deception will recover, repent and be restored to
proper relationship with their brothers and sisters in the LORD.
