As always at the first of the month, I have received more ministry letters than will fit into the 15-pg limit that I have to stick to for the Prayer Summary.
Will catch up with all the overflow next week.
I so greatly appreciate those who responded to my appeal last week for donations.

Next week this prayer summary will enter into its 16th year of publishing a weekly summary
of Israeli ministry prayer requests. .. and Sunday I mark my 65th birthday.
August is always a red-letter month for me.

Priority Prayer Focus Aug 3, 2016

The lion's share of prayer letters this week were primarily focused on world events.  Anyone who has been spiritually drawn toward Israel begins to realize that Israel  is where spiritual reality connects to what is manifesting in the natural world.  As the threat posed by radical Islam continues to rise in the Western nations, the Church will be challenged to shake itself awake as to how the spirit of violence behind radical Islam that has targeted Israel for decades, is now targeting us.

The spiritual warfare going on in the heavenlies is impacted by prayer - prayer for our own nations, but also prayer for the main target of demonic opposition to God's plan and purposes in Jerusalem.  Our desire in this Weekly Summary/Arrows from Zion is to give subscribers insight into the things that are in the news but also to point the way for how to stand in the spiritual battle as prayer warriors - and in the natural battle. We are in a battle for the truth, and the truth is it takes prayer soldiers and natural soldiers to contend in this war. We are called to be both. We are writing the vision on this wall so that those who read it may run with it.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

What a great report from David and Michaella Lazarus of Beit Immanuel in Jaffa this week - and it's all about a release of faith among the children of the congregation to pray for healing. These children are praying in simple, childlike faith and God is answering them with healing to those submitting to a child for prayer. "This is what we have been waiting for!' was the reaction of a young mother this week, watching with tears in her eyes, as her son laid hands on an elderly woman, calling on the name of Yeshua for healing. And He came, and He healed!"

David writes, "The innocent, pure and simple way they trust God is startling, and it hits us -- we do not always minister to others like that. They didn't shout, there was no hype. They closed their eyes, lifted their faces, and extending their hands touched the needy, believing that God is here, with us. As we watched, we saw faith in their hopeful expressions, heard the trust in their straightforward prayers, and as they asked, as only a child can ask, for healing, renewal and strength for needy, sick and broken lives, we saw people moved, deeply."

The congregation is also experiencing a spiritual touch among their teenagers, too. The Knesset bestowed the honor of recognition to the Messianic Pro-Life Organization, Be'ad Chaim at the beginning of July as part of the International Women's Health Day.  Sandy Shoshani the National Director of Be’ad Chaim and founder, Tony Sperandeo accepted the certificate of appreciation. The pro-life organization, Be'ad Chaim  was founded in 1980, has five counseling centers in various regions of Israel and a hotline for women to receive information and help. About one in every five pregnancies in Israel ends in abortion.

KehilaNews writes, "Be’ad Chaim is not the only organization that works in the field of protecting mothers and their unborn babies. The reason that this particular association receives awareness from the Knesset and positive recognition from the Ministry of Social Welfare is thanks to their acceptance and inclusion of others. Be’ad Chaim does not distinguish between religion and nationality, as opposed to other organizations that work solely with Jews." Katy, who writes the weekly prayer requests from the Sorko-Ram's Maoz ministries asks for prayers regarding the many projects of Maoz - those underway and those still in the creation stage. One of the main thrusts of Maoz is to provide resources for the rest of the ministries in Israel - whether leadership conferences or translating study and inspirational materials into Hebrew. You have heard of someone being a pastor's pastor? Well Maoz very much presses in to be a ministry's ministry to the Messianic leaders in Israel. FROM MAOZ PRAY for Sherry M., a wife of an Israeli congregational leader, whose cancer has returned - this time in her spine.  The doctors said there's nothing more they can do and sent her home to die.  Please stand with us in faith and PRAY for her healing.  Also PRAY For her husband and their children.

Praying the Headlines

Eliyahu Ben-Haim of Intercessors for Israel in Jerusalem reviews the highlights of international crisis in his Sound the Shofar prayer letter. Excerpts we picked out are the terror attacks in Western Europe; presidential elections in the USA, Russia making moves to re-capture super power influence (China too); what Brexit means & the rapidly vanishing freedom of speech in the EU & US. Barry & Batya Segal whose Jerusalem News Network highlights news related to Israel or the Jews from various sources, files several key news stories that are in the news: "Isis Priest-Killer Asked Nun, 'Are you afraid to die?' | Attack Inside French Church Shocks West, but Not Christians in Africa  |  'One Isis Attack Every 84 hours' Spurs Dread and Anger in Europe.  Highlights in these news items and scripture to apply inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Israelprayer adds this news item: The online recruiting publication of ISIS in English aims would-be jihadists to attack Christians and Churches. The focus is clearly spelled out on the cover: "Break the Cross" and calls for the bloodthirsty knights of the Caliphate continue to wage their war of just terror against you. They argue that Jesus himself was “a slave of Allah” who will “wage jihad” upon returning to earth. The main thrust: "hidden soldiers of the Caliphate...ordered to attack without delay."  ...and still many Christians believe this manifestation of Islam is a mere aberration of the real "religion of peace." We must pray that the eyes of the Church understanding be opened to the true nature of this spiritual darkness.

Jane Hanson-Hoyt of AGLOW International is not an Israeli ministry, but this lady has certainly aligned with Israeli believers and galvanized her international prayer warriors on behalf of Israel. To pray for Israel and the Israeli believers, we are necessarily joined into the spiritual warfare regarding Islamic Jihad.  Jane Hanson Hoyt has called for urgent prayer to thwart the Islamic terror plans that are targeting the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (Aug 5-21).  This is a serious threat and as the AGLOW leader says: intercession for this threatened event is our calling and equipping to stand in the gates with our delegated authority.  See the full call shared on Facebook inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

We must fight the spiritual warfare in two ways: prayer and action. We pray for the eyes of the understanding of the Church to be opened, for the schemes of the enemy to be overturned - but also we take our stand in the natural world, sometimes as soldiers fighting physically in the wars to turn back the enemy and sometimes as soldiers in the information wars. The latter is what the Jerusalem Institute of Justice is about. Teaching Articles

Over the weekend the weekend I sat down to re-listen to a teaching of Asher Intrater's from the 2009 Israel Mandate conference that I have returned to several times a year for several years. Pretty soon I decided to starting typing certain excerpts to save but about halfway through it, I said forget this! I need  a full transcript!

One reason is that no one has ever explained why liberal, secular humanists in the West are so dead set intent on protecting Islam to the point that they actually cover the grievous crimes and attacks of radical Islam.  Asher does in how the deception that comes with the Harlot spirit blinds those it controls from clearly perceiving the spirit of violence that marks the Beast of Islamic Jihad.  The Harlot and the Beast of Revelation connects with the battle of the spirits of Greece and Persia that Daniel was praying over, and as Asher shows, has a direct connection to the spirits we are fighting today - Jezebel and Jihad. 

I want to challenge all of you on this prayer list to do a deep dive study into Asher's audio teaching, "The Harlot and the Beast, or Jezebel and Jihad."  I believe it will clarify what we have already entered into and  we live in critical times! Get understanding and a clear prayer strategy for participating in the battle now being waged in the Heavenlies over the whole earth.  The time is now to enter into that company of Daniel's who are in the fight.

Priority Prayer Focus Jul 27, 2016

In a world that desperately wants to ignore the facts in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, rationalizing some terror attacks against Israel as justified acts of "freedom fighters" and outright ignoring other attacks altogether, the hypocrisy is increasingly reaping for nations what they have sown.

Throughout Ramadan we reported in this prayer summary the anxiety that had gripped Israelis as murderous attacks were made by independent attackers - some only teens, yet no less deadly in their sudden brutal attacks wielding knives or whatever was handy to kill innocent Israeli citizens with. Even strong in faith believers expressed a tension just going about their daily business not knowing where the next attack would pop up.

That was June. This is July.  Like the tweet I saw from a deputy editor of the Times of Israel, "Covering the news at the moment is like flashback to horrors of second intifada, only on awful, terrifying global scale."

That is the reality that so many do not want to face: we have entered into an era of worldwide Intifada.

 Even faced with a terror attack a day, German authorities seek to cover up the facts that these are Islamic attacks being carried out on innocent Germans. Same in France. The citizens are not as easily fooled but the reality is, in the United States a major attack on the US Army base at Fort Hood, Texas was labeled by foolish authorities as a "workplace violence" incident. It did not fool all Americans, but the truth is even knowing the facts, there was nothing we could do to change the government cover up or policies that continued on. That is exactly what is happening in the European Union now, with the exception that the UK did manage to Brexit to staunch the free flow of Muslim immigrants. 

In fact, even as terror attacks have been occurring daily in some European nations, the word from their authorities is that they remain committed to absorbing Muslim refugees; native citizens will just have to "get used to" terrorism.  Tell me Israel, does anyone ever really "get used to" terrorism?

The worldwide intifada - terrorist attacks intruding into the lives of Westerners - is a wake-up call regarding the hypocrisy of nations in response to terrorism against Israel.   Many who are suffering now will come to realize that 'terror is terror is terror' but many others will continue to contend that Israel is the exception and deserves the terror attacks it suffers. 

It is our belief, this prayer summary having come into existence during the Second Intifada on Israel, that prayer can mightily impact the protection against terror attacks, limit the number of deaths and even completely thwart some of the schemes and terror plots. 

As we pray for Israel, it is our admission to God that even if our own national leaders do not get it, we do: terror against Israel is the demonic force seeking to thwart Your plans for the nation of Israel.  If we will pray understanding that, we also can pray for our own nations that like God overturns the murderous plans against innocent Israelis, He will also protect our people, as well, from the stalking plague of a demonic religion. This is the war.

Just yesterday, after this priority focus was already written and complete, an Islamic terror attack took place in Normandy, France as knife wielding jihaddis screaming "Alahu Akbar" and "Daesh" (Isis) brust into a Catholic church during mass, slitting the throat of a 84-yr old priest. A parishoner also had their throat slit and was fighting for their life at last report.  One of the attackers had already been identified by French authorities, had an ankle bracelet monitoring his movements - but outrageously enough was allowed freedom of movement in the mornings.

Personally, I do not understand why the global threat of Islamic terrorism barely seems to even register on the spiritual radar of most of Christianity and Messianic bodies.  We seem to still be living under the illusion that world governments have so carefully cultivated that Islamist jihad is not that pervasive or threatening. Look again and let this sink in: In the last 2 months jihadis have executed a terrorist attack OUTSIDE of Iraq and Syria every 84 hours. This is the war.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

In relation to the Prayer Priority I have chosen this week, worldwide intifada or jihad, I would recommend this audio teaching by Asher Intrater, The Harlot & the Beast, or Jezebel and Jihad. This was preached in 2009 about the spiritual warfare we are in today - of the veil over the world today is a result of the coming together of Jezebel and Jihad. From Revive Israel's ministry letter this week, we begin with the important developments and Michael Karem urges us to understand the critical role of Turkey in the Middle East and to pray over that nation. As we see in news reports this week, there is an ominous new relationship also developing with Turkey and Russia.  Karem writes, "The timing of this latest Coup attempt comes in the wake of a reconciliation agreement between Israel and Turkey, a Turkish apology to Russia for Turkey's downing of a Russian fighter jet and rapprochement with Egypt."  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

KehilaNews.com is an important resource which I rely each week as it compiles news, information and teaching from generated by the Body in Israel. The Maoz Ministries of Ari & Shira Sorko-Ram notes the 10th anniversary of the Second Lebanon War, and points out recent incidents that have placed Israeli military on heightened alert at the northern borders (also incidents on the Syrian borders).  Among the prayer requests: "PRAY for protection for all Israel's borders and for God to keep all our soldiers and civilians safe. PRAISE GOD for His protection and His miracles, which He continues performing for us."

I literally had goosebumps and tears in my eyes as I read one of two wonderful praise reports this week in the Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua) congregational prayer letter from Arad. The one that really touched me deeply was about a teenager in the youth group who although extremely gifted artistically began to withdraw to the point that he barely spoke to anyone. "It was an emotional prison."

"Meanwhile in the youth group Yo-Yakim has been encouraging the young people to be bold in sharing their faith with others. One day the phone rang at N’s house. It was his school teacher. She was so excited and spoke in such rapid-fire Hebrew that N’s mother, who isn’t originally Israeli, could barely understand her. “N spoke!!!!” the teacher exclaimed. “Not just a few words but whole paragraphs!” What did he talk about? "He proclaimed that he is a Messianic Jew, that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah!"

Talk about giving a witness!  "Please pray that the miraculous transformation will continue in N’s life and that the Lord will draw this teacher into His Kingdom." Read also a testimony of two Bedouin inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

The Arad congregation also brings news of The Ark ministry who have found a temporary landing place after being run of their current property by religious pressure on their landlord. Learn more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary  One last request, that goes for all the Israeli ministries: "Please pray for the salvation of all our children and for wisdom for Yo-Yakim as he leads the various age groups."

Ron Cantor, who has been ministering in the US catches us up with this message recently preached in New York: message about "Getting back in the Game of Outreach"  Ron has dual citizenship in the US and Israel, and has written this on the GOP candidate the Jekyll and Hyde nature of Donald Trump and about the NBA getting involved in the same sex public restrooms  (read here).   Also "we just released PART 7 in our series on Romans 11, focusing on the fact that salvation has come to the nations to provoke Israel to jealousy." Barry & Batya Segal give a report of their outreach in Israel to the poor and needy including Holocaust survivors, at risk children, humanitarian provision from Joseph's Storehouse, Foster Care babies, Emergency Medic bags for first responders & relief organizations, their collaboration with the Terror Victims Association for a scholarship project, and helping the Ashkelon welfare department provide Bar Mitzvah gifts for boys from financially distressed families.  You can read all about their projects inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Brian Slater of the Abundant Bread of Salvation ministry in Netanya gives his report fresh off a speaking tour in England, which Brian says, "It was absolutely amazing to be there among the British people during such an uncertain political time of elections and be able to pray for them and share about the ministry of Abundant Bread of Salvation in Israel."  We see a distinct turning of the British toward leaders who are well known to be strongly supportive of Israel. Please pray that the British will recover their love of God and the truth, and that they will be delivered from the trap that previous leaders have led them into with Islamists gaining major foothold in the nation.

Brian must have hit the ground running and re-energized as he reports that "Since returning from the U.K., another four Jewish women and a man have prayed to receive Yeshua as their Messiah. My friends, the Spirit of God is moving in the most amazing ways.  Each one of these Jewish people, asked us to pray for them and their challenging situations and the Spirit of God fell upon each of them opening up their eyes and hearts to the power of God. They also welcomed the Young Messianic Jewish Alliance from the USA who came for a full day of volunteer work with the ministry. "We celebrated together a Royalty Meal, which was an event that will never be forgotten as they presented songs, dances and sat around over 10 tables filled with over 30 Holocaust Survivors.  We were about 70 people total having life-changing interactions." Eddie Santoro of Ahavat Yeshua (Love of Yeshua) congregation has begun "Bio" intravenous chemo treatments for the cancer in his right tonsil and lymph - five days a week.  It is "grueling" but he and wife Jackie are making the most of the opportunity to connect with and pray for other cancer treatment patients. Pray for them and that God will use this for His own purposes - that all cancer cells in Eddie's body will be annihilated, cut off and not to rise again. They write that response to their "We Need You" prayer letter was overwhelming and brought true encouragement... and they say, We still need you!

Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem writes on the 17th of Tammuz a three-week period sometimes known as “the Dire Straits” ....The expression comes from Lamentations 1:3, “All her persecutors overtake her in dire straits” (NKJV).  It alludes to calamities which have overtaken Jews and Israel herself over the centuries during these three weeks.  The period ends on the 9th of Av  (25 July this year), when the First Temple was actually destroyed. Although it is certainly true that the events occurring during this period have given rise to superstitions and fallacies over the centuries, we see it, nevertheless, as a time for special sobriety and watchfulness among believers—especially as regards Israel and the seed of Jacob." Sarvis also writes about the intercession for the TomorrowLand concert held in Jerusalem last Saturday and gives an extensive list of prayer points for the Israeli military forces under his writing "God of the Armies of Israel". Like him, we believe that it is the spiritual armies of Heaven that are fighting with the physical military forces in Israel:  "We were so encouraged this week to learn that amongst those who came into the Israel Defense Forces this summer were at least 64 Messianic believers!"  Please pray over these young men and women who serve in the physical fight to protect all Israel. From Ben Juster, the operations director of Tikkun Intl, come these prayer request from various Tikkun ministries in Israel:

Again, a prayer request for the their 18-yr olds entering army service: Many of the Tikkun-related ministries are sending their eighteen-yearold children off to start their army service with the Israel Defense Forces. There are several more that are in the midst of their two to three years of service. Pray that these believing young adults will remain strong in their faith, that they will not become disillusioned nor discouraged. Pray for their testimony to have impact within their units. Pray for good friends and lots of support so that they can make it through each day. Finally, pray for direction and acclimation for those who are completing their army service. Pray that they can find employment and that they have wisdom and guidance for where to live and how best to reintegrate within congregational communities.

Ahavat Yeshua congregation - There are several leadership transitions and expansions being implemented within Ahavat Yeshua Congregation. It is an exciting season of generational transfer and community development. Pray against every assignment of the enemy that would try to thwart these positive changes.  Pray for deepening unity and renewed vision.

UPDATE ON RONEN from Maoz:  Last week we asked you to pray for Ronen.  While there has been a slight improvement, he is still in a lot of pain and cannot be left alone at home. He did an MRI scan, and is now waiting for the official reading of the results, but one of the doctors said that from a first glance there's no apparent pressure on his neck. Continue to PRAY for Ronen's complete healing.  Also PRAY for his wife and children, who are providing around-the-clock care for him.

                PRAY for all believers in Israel who are in need of a healing touch.  May the Lord descend from heaven and heal them. 

UPDATE ON EDDIE SANTORO: Eddie Santoro began radiation and chemotherapy treatments for the cancerous areas on his tonsil and lymph node. Please pray that ALL cancer cells are eradicated from his body. Pray that there will be no recurrence of cancer in his brain. Pray for continued faith and strength for him and his wife Jackie. Romans 8: ^31-39 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?  Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.  Who is he who condemns? It is Messiah who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.

As Beer Sheva pastor Howard Bass writes, "It does not take a prophet to believe what is written in the Prophets by the Holy Spirit. What was written beforehand was written for us living at the end of the age. (Rom 15:4; 1Cor 10:11)  Our spirits are groaning with the Holy Spirit in the assault of evil and darkness against that which makes for peace and joy.  We hear daily news reports from all the continents, and these last two weeks have been rapid fire."

Howard has written a commentary in the aftermath of the failed Turkish coup, called "The Farthest North", which you can read at www.streamsinthenegev.com.

With reports in the last 24 hours of bombings heating up on the Syrian border and the IDF set on high alert at the northern borders, all of the Messianic congregations are stepping up prayer for their soldiers serving in the Israeli military. In the Beer Sheva congregation, Bass writes that five of their young men and women are now preparing to enter compulsory service and they ask prayer. He notes, "Realize, too, that not all of these young people from believing families or from the Messianic congregations are themselves necessarily strong believers in the truth of Yeshua and the gospel, especially for their own lives."  Please up your prayers for the peace keeper forces of Israel.

Kehila News Israel, an information portal from the Messianic community in Israel, shares the good news this week that the Israeli Supreme Court has finally weighed in on the mental state of the Jewish terrorist, Jack Teitel, who bombed a Messianic family in Ariel, nearly killing their 15 year old son. It was a miracle from God that Ami Ortiz survived.  It is a legal tactic in Israel for Jewish religious terroristic acts to be chalked up to an act of insanity. This was also the tactic of Teitel's legal team, however the final judgment of the courts was that Teitel was not insane but rather hate-filled.  This is the truth and for the Israeli courts to rule this way, shuts a spiritual door (reaping what we sow).  It is very important that even unsaved Israel conducts itself in godly integrity. Kehila also shares an article by Miriam Abramov on How the Dallas Tragedy Parallels Hate in Israel, and a Staff article on the US Congressional investigation that showed US tax dollars aided the anti-Netanyahu campaign.  We add to that a secular news story: State Department Purged Emails About Secret Anti-Netanyahu Campaign

Dov Bikas, sho has a Russian-speaking congregation in Beer Sheva and an evangelistic outreach to addicts and sex trade workers in Tel Aviv, writes, "As the time goes by, I become more and more convinced that ministry to the poor, homeless and addicted is one of the biblical methods of evangelism."

Bikas cites the Luke 14 parable of Yeshua - the invitation of the master to a feast - as the example of what he sees:  "From my experience of sharing the Good News in Israel, I have come to the conclusion that in this country it is very difficult to invite unbelievers that are absolute strangers to church or evangelistic activities. ...yet only a few people responded. Like the parable, those who were called to “the feast” did not want to come.  By contrast, since the day we opened our outreach center in Tel Aviv for drug addicts and the homeless, it has never remained empty. Today about 30 unbelievers attend Aviv Center every day." As promised, I am continuing this week with the prayer letter from Rania Sayegh, a prophetic intercessor with the House of Prayer & Exploits (HOPE) in Nazareth. In this continuation Rania shares a vision about cross pollination and her experiences in it as she recently ministered in European nations. In Norway, Rania writes, "We could feel the presence of Holy Spirit and His grace in the room, as hearts broke and humility took precedence. God really allowed the partnership with His heart for their nation. ... Along side of me, Avner and Rachel Boskey were invited to teach on God's heart for the Jewish people, and another speaker from Lebanon spoke on Islam and what God is doing in the Muslim world." Israel Pochtar in Ashdod gives a good report on the annual pastoral retreat put on by Tom Hess of the Jerusalem House of Prayer for All Nations. The location was the Sea of Galilee and Israel writes, "This retreat is an annual event that we go to with several of our leaders' families. It brings together Jewish and Arab pastors from all over the land for precious time of prayer, sharing, worshipping and fellowshipping together. We're all so blessed by this amazing experience time and time again. I consider it a blessing and a privilege the opportunity to teach and encourage fellow pastors, both Jew and Arab."

Pochtar wrote, "We heard so many different testimonies from different pastors, one that really stood out to me came from my dear and close friend...who pastors an Arabic speaking church in the Israeli city ... which became a perfect example of the coexistence that is very much possible between Jews and Arabs.  [Arabic pastor] now travels a lot to Germany and Finland, where he is often invited to preach to Muslims, as well as to equip the local churches there on how to reach Muslims with the Gospel. Speaking Arabic has been an open door for him in reaching many Muslims, especially now in Europe. He personally led 70 Iraqi and Syrian Muslims to Christ and recently baptized them on one of his trips.

"We all watch the news and see the horrible images of Islamic terrorism across the world, but we mustn't lose sight of God greatness to shine his light even through the deepest darkness. So it's always so touching and eye-opening to hear testimonies of how God is touching the hearts of many Muslims, and Yeshua is meeting them on their own "road to Damascus", breaking through even their own resistance to Him."

Jonathan shares his vision for the Ahavat Yeshua congregation which you can read inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.  If you are a Facebook user, Revive Israel has been sharing many video introductions of the young leaders on the Revive Israel team, as well. We are clearly seeing this generation of young leaders beginning to take their places even as the apostolic elders are continuing on in mentoring - really fatherly roles.

In our 6/29/16 issue we shared with you a report from Orna Greenman about visiting the site of Martin Luther's church where an anti-semitic building sculpture called Judensau is part of the heritage of the Church reformer. This week Orna writes with an appeal to sign the petition of Messianic Jewish historian and theologian, Dr Richard Harvey. The petition is the removal for that Judensau embossment. Too Close to Home!

Wanted to share two Facebook posts from ministry leaders in Israel regarding the Terror attack that was thwarted in Jerusalem. A Druze Light Rail security guard approached a man who aroused his suspicions; After speaking to the man, he claimed that he had a bomb in his bag; Sappers defused the bombs and thwarted another terrorist attack.

In response to the attack, Evan Levine of the HaTikvah Project and Cody Archer of Revive Israel posted these comments:

Evan Levine: Today a terrorist was stopped by alert security forces while attempting to board the light rail train in Jerusalem with a bag full of explosives. This occurred at the closest train stop to our dental clinic where our patients and employees get on and off the train. We praise God that the plans of the enemy were foiled and ask you to pray for continued protection!

Cody Archer: This was a few minutes' walk from our house today. Our home group just ended tonight and we found out that two girls from our home group were at the same place at the same time when they caught the terrorist. Gods hand of protection was on them!!

So many nations are being attacked by Islamic terrorists, but I believe this is like Acts 11 when a worldwide famine was prophesied by the Spirit to the believers in Antioch, and the disciples decided then and there to send special provision to the believers in Israel.  Do you get that the whole world was going to be in need, but the saints recognized that it would be the saints in Judea that they needed to make provision for?

I believe in the same way that the Church providing for the need of the believers in Israel in famine, that the same deposit of prayer for the safety of our brethren in Israel in the face of terror, will redound with our own safety from terrorism.  In fact, I believe the reason the nations are suffering from Islamic terrorism is that we are reaping what we have sown in refusing to acknowledge that Israel is being attacked by terrorism - not "freedom fighters".   So how do we reverse the curse of Western leaders' hypocrisy and willingness to turn a blind eye to terrorism against Israel? We place Israel in the priority in our prayers to God for safety from terrorism.  It is really simple in my view.

Yesterday Israel marked ten years since the beginning of the Second Lebanon War.  The war started after Hezbollah attacked Israel's northern border, killing three soldiers and kidnapping two others. The war lasted 34 days. Forty-four citizens and 121 soldiers were killed.  2000 citizens and 628 soldiers were wounded.  Hundreds of rockets rained down on Israel, paralyzing the northern area and causing about 900,000 Israeli citizens to flee their homes. The war ended with a ceasefire following UN Security Council Resolution 1701 - the resolution which Hezbollah continues to violate.

In addition to the obvious violations, Hezbollah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah continues making public threats against Israel, promising her quick demise.  He continues saying Hezbollah has tens of thousands of rockets pointed at Israel in any given moment.  He is also threatening a specific area near Haifa where Ammonia tanks are located as a major target.

Though our leaders and commanders assess that the time has not yet come for another conflict in the north, the popular opinion (after all, we do live in Israel!) is that it's only a matter of time.  

                PRAY for God to protect Israel from every side.  With Hamas in the South, ISIS in Egypt and now in Jordan, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria and threats of more flotillas to "free Gaza" from the Mediterranean, Israel has to be on alert always.

                PRAY for wisdom for our government and military.  May God give them a special insight into the plans of our enemies so that the plans of the wicked come to nothing.

                And, especially this week, PRAY for families who lost their loved ones to war and terror, and those who continue struggling with injuries, PTSD, etc.  PRAY for healing and comfort for all Israel.  

Just My 2¢

The 'Woodstock' of this generation is a electronic music festival that began in 2005 in Boom, Belguim called TomorrowLand. Like Woodstock, it promotes a 'love & peace" message of unity. It's a fantasy festival far from the maddening realities of everyday life. This weekend, SAT July 23, the Tomorrowland music festival will hold events in 7 nations simultaneously: Mexico, India, Japan, Colombia, Germany, South Africa and Israel.

I don't want to blow this request for prayer out of spiritual proportion because personally I don't believe this is a festival to open a demonic portal. I believe what opens a demonic "portal" is what we allow our brains to think upon that becomes an ungodly condition in our hearts.

I do believe this music festival deserves prayer, but in my opinion it is not the most critical prayer target of the day. There is a lot of spiritual speculation going on surrounding this whole "demonic portal" business, and that began prior to the music festival because o its close proximity to the CERN Large Hadron Collider.  There has sprung up spiritual conspiracy theories that like the conspiracy theories regarding the CERN collider, the festival is opening up the portals of hell. I do not bear witness to the great spiritual concern of these theories.

However, I will say that like Woodstock impacted my generation in a negative way - beckoning young people to a romanticized idealism about how the world should be, this festival is obviously doing the same thing to young people of today. That much is obvious by looking at the video about the 2015 festival.

Now I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I would urge caution not to oversell the urgency of this event. I repeat: It does bear intercessory attention, but let's not over-react to the theories about it.

(The collider is the physicists' search for the "God particle" or the Higg's Bosom particle. The name given to sell a book about the Higg's Bosom particle, the "God particle' is probably what kicked off all the speculations about opening a demonic portal.
