Priority Prayer Focus Aug 24, 2016

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

Romans 11:15. I have always puzzled over that phrase "life from the dead" but as I looked up this scripture to post here just now I saw it in a new light. Israel's rejection by God brought the rest of the peoples of the world into the opportunity to be reconciled to God. Now that the time has come for God to revisit Israel, accepting Israel once again, not only will Israel depart from their spiritually dead state to enter eternal salvation, but from the dead - from Israel - their acceptance by God will also trigger life for the many in the nations. From the spiritually dead Israel becoming spiritual alive again, in the Spirit it will release spiritual life throughout the nations. Israel will fulfill its call to be a blessing to all the nations.

Even looking at it in the purely natural sense, how can the nations possibly ignore the continued increase of Israeli Jews coming to faith in Yeshua?  It can't be ignored. It is a most persuasive eye and heart catcher for Israeli Jews to love Jesus.

Starting off this week with two excerpts from Martin Sarvis (one from last week that we don't want to let slip by).  The first is the start of the annual ELAV, Unto Him, youth conference that Succat Hallel sponsors which is a time of worship in Hebrew and Arabic. Sarvis writes that there will also be, "timely challenges delivered by speakers from around the land—as well as sessions devoted to allowing the Spirit to work deeper levels of reconciliation and unity among those He has called to live and lead in His land of Israel.  This year all of the music will be indigenous, led by Arab and Jewish worship teams. The second excerpt from Sarvis is titled Into & Out of Africa and it details some of the major shifts that are taking place between Israel and many African nations. Martin not only covers what is happening on the governmental cooperation shift level, but also how spiritual connections between the houses of prayer in Israel and African nations toward the end of last year began to pave the way. Eddie Santoro, over the half-way point in the bio-chemical and radiation treatment for cancer in his tonsil and lymph node, has a glowing report about ministry to others they are doing in the waiting room as they wait for treatments with others being treated for cancers.  Two things: one, Eddie's treatment has reached the point where there is quite a bit of pain generated in this throat. Please pray for that. Secondly, where people are sitting waiting for cancer treatment they have no way of knowing if it will save their lives or their loved ones lives, this is the place where a message of hope and prayer is so welcomed - even when one of the recipients are clearly Muslim, as Eddie writes about inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. Pray for God to touch these people with healing and with eternal life.

Maoz Ministries writes that Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram are traveling and ask for prayers for their travels and all the next steps of their ministry. They have many projects in the works which they ask prayers for and especially for all those that are designed to strengthen the national Israeli body of Messiah.  Their ministry assistant Katy Smith writes, "When I first came to Israel, I was not a believer.  It was here, twenty years ago, that I heard the true Gospel and invited Yeshua into my heart.  Back then there was only a handful of Messianic Jewish congregations in Israel.  Today, the estimate is that there are approximately 15,000 believers and over 100 congregations all across this land.  Seeing God's promises in action here - in the land where Yeshua spent His entire life - is encouraging and very moving. YOU are a part of this miracle.... We are GRATEFUL for each one of you.  We could not have done this without your support." 

Carolyn and Richard Hyde write from on the road about the incredible times of ministry they had in Singapore:  "...we're already praying about when we can return!"  Carolyn relates that several years ago, "the L-rd asked me, "What do you know about the East?"  "Nothing," I answered. So He said, "Then I'll give it to you." I hid this in my heart for years until after meeting Kenneth Khoo, the local director of Christians For Israel who invited us to Singapore last year. . . . the message for the believers in Singapore was to lead them in a proclamation to help break the curses over Israel and the East by saying, "The gods of the East are no gods at all. The G-d of Israel is the One true G-d.  Worship Him alone!"  The response was incredible! Many first generation Asian believers, whose parents had built pagan temples and even dedicated their children to idols, renounced these false gods without hesitation! Avi Mizrachi of Adonai Roi and Dugit writes that they were very encouraged by the response to Are You Ready for a New Day in Israel?  In fact, in this update he writes that the harvest is ready and so are they! You can read about the things they are up to in relation to the harvest: Read the Full Article.  Also in the prayer/ministry letter they write about the July hosting of a Hawaiian ministry team called Island Breeze who deeply touched the people of Israel with their love.  Other items you can read about inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary their Independence Day outreach, the team from Christ for the Nations they hosted as the gospel was shared in Israel, and a short progress report on the Dugit building project.

Ron Cantor has a video on the recent "brazen stand against Israel" by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Please watch the Video. Those Christians doing such things have gone off the rails of our faith.

From Revive Israel, an article by Asher Intrater Messianic Apostolic Ministry and a video teaching God's Plan Made Clear.  Also, they are introducing their Social Media Director via Meet the Team: Jakob

Plus this:  40 Day Fast | A grassroots group of believing teens and young adults in Israel are calling for a 40 day period of prayer and fasting from Saturday September 3rd to Wednesday October 12th. They are seeking to "turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers," according to Malachi 4:6.  (in connection with the fall feasts read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary) .... They believe that there is an ongoing spiritual attack on this upcoming generation, on believers in particular, and especially on the children of leaders.  They believe that this is the time for the turning of hearts of both parents and children and a time for the prodigal sons (and daughters) to come home. They want to "reverse the curse," and to see the torch of spiritual fire passed on to this upcoming generation. They believe this generational reconciliation will pave the way for the great revival in the end times, both in Israel and in the Nations.  You are invited to join them, young Arab Christians and Messianic Jews in Israel as they pray, fast and intercede, together with their parents and children, for God's blessing on this generation."

Our friend, Ronit Bender, writes about the visit she just made to the Faroe Islands where for the past ten years groups of teens have come to Israel from to help in summer camps and experience a new culture. Ronit and her husband, Tom, who has gone on to the Lord, hosted many of these youngsters over the ten year period.  This summer however it was Ronit who went to visit them in their northern Atlantic home and it was a rich experience which she writes about inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Israel Pochtar of the Beit Hallel congregation in Ashdod writes about the 300 children they were able to help with backpacks and school supply vouchers in their Negev communities thanks to the help of generous donors.  You will want to read his report inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary and take note of this man who is always stretching out to reach the Jewish people in every way he and his ministry team can.

Ben Juster, the Operations Director of Tikkun Ministries, gives us a few areas to pray over for the various ministry teams under the Tikkun umbrella in Israel:  1. Families are sending their kids back to school & lots of prayer challenges there see specifics in the Weekly Summary; 2. Ahavat Yeshua is setting in a new elder and interim congregational leader in the coming week. Pray for strength and power in the Spirit to stand against the spiritual attacks that come with new levels of authority and responsibility; 3. Prayer request for Eddie Santoro who continues in cancer treatment:  "Pray for strength for Eddie and an elimination of any negative side effects of the treatments. Please pray that ALL cancer cells are eradicated from his body. Pray that there will be no recurrence of cancer in his brain. Pray for continued faith and strength for him and his wife Jackie."

PLEASE Pray for ANOTHER MIRACLE:  Shelly M, Israeli pastor Eitan's wife whom doctors have sent home to die as cancer has returned to a new place in her body;  Eddie Santoro - a new form of cancer unrelated to the brain cancer;  We also received prayer requests for Jacob Damkani who was to have surgery today (after life-threatening medical incident 1 year ago). Doctors have re-assessed & will try to treat it for a week without surgery. Please pray issue will be resolved without more surgery. This is a fight of faith - press in with them! Rick Ridings daughter, Esther Moore just had second surgery for cancer; Ruth Nessim has received a clean bill of health from cancer treatment: pray it does not rise up a 2nd time; same prayers for David Davis recovering from cancer treatment; David O., Ami (unhealed wounds), Long term disease battles:  Leah; an unnamed forefather of Messianic Judaism; Moshe M. Ghazi, the son of an Arab pastor, who is suffering from Leukemia. Judy, wife of pastor Yaakov K;  Evan Thomas in still painful occupational therapy phase after serious arm fractures; Richard Hyde, Eddie Beckford, Claude Ezagouri; Rachel Slater; Patti, wife of Dan Juster; Baruch and Karen Maayan; Michael E and unnamed Israel-related ministers.  Pray also for Tal Bass. Miriam Abramov, incisional hernia, Ronen a congregant & faithful volunteer in the Tiferet Yeshua Tel Aviv congregation.
